241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is really unexpected on: March 15, 2024, 11:01:38 AM
Last January I tried slot games which I played with my cousin when we went on a vacation in our province. We played at Bingo Plus, a local online casino where we can easily deposit money using our local wallet called Gcash. My cousin was able to win a decent amount, while I was left losing all my deposited money.
It was a vacation, you were meant to be having fun while gambling, not taking it very seriously.

I created an account. I think to myself that since I already have an account, why not try playing to kill some time?
Here you played for fun more without really expecting to win since you have lost before, you were in a more relaxed state, I feel that that had a great influence on you winning.
242  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Blame game to cover incompetency on: March 14, 2024, 07:03:15 PM
Did you see what was going on in the house of senate yesterday? How some senate got $500m privately
Naira not dollars, N500 million naira.

... and some other senate never had the same allocation and they off the mic so that the public don't know what's behind those money.
The money was allegedly given to only senators they called "ranking senator" because of how long they have been in office. There rae almost 34 ranking senators, so that is

34 X 500,000,000 = ??

source

It's sad to say that APC, PDP, LP and other people that got into senate are all the same group of people that were never ready for change of this country.
It was still one of the senators that senator Abdul Ningi (PDP, Bauchi Central) that turned attention to this. So not all politicians are corrupt, there are still a few of them with conscience, but they are very few and under heavy pressure.

243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Online Casinos Publish Their Bankroll? Your Thoughts? on: March 14, 2024, 06:45:01 PM
This will really help; at least players will know what they are going for. For example, VVIP players who play with a large amount of money should also be able to know if the casino can pay off a large amount of winnings if they win.
But do you really think that any casino will be truthful enough to publish a low bankroll not having enough money to pay out gamblers if they win big? Doing so may directly affect their business, scare customers away.

Showing their bankroll shouldn't be the only thing here; at least there should be a level of transparency to verify if the funds made public are truly there or if they are from somewhere else.
The process of verification can also be manipulated.

All of the big casinos we have today all started small before they got to where they are now.
Not all casinos started small, some casinos started big with a lot of funding, and have been able to maintain the standard.
244  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Funded Trading best option for traders without funds to trade? on: March 14, 2024, 06:29:59 PM
* Is Funded Trading best option for traders without funds to trade but with the trading knowledge?
If you're sure of your skills as a trader,  a funded account can be a good way to make money, if you do not have your own money to trade. But do not hurry to try to get a funded account to trade on when you know that you have not yet matured in trading to some reasonable extent. This is where newbies come in and why they should make sure to not just rush their learning process, so that they can have enough expertise to handle a funded account when the opportunity presents itself.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: Early exposure of children to wealth and investments on: March 14, 2024, 04:49:52 PM
Is it right to tell your children all the investment you've made even when they're not yet matured enough? If no, At what age should they start knowing about those investment?
Children can learn directly from their parents, and if you a parent lay a good foundation of letting your kids know that you have invested, and the importance from investing to your kids, They will grow up without consciousness and early in life they would be focused on setting up investments that they would later profit from.

One problem and challenge I have noticed in my own immediate environment is that parents are more focused on exposing the children to religion than investment and wealth importance. If focus can also be placed on wealth and investment to children in an early age just as religion it will have an immense benefit in the development of the child and financial independence earlier in life.
246  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hello, my friend has 200 solar panels, do they generate enough energy for mining on: March 14, 2024, 04:13:57 PM
I don't understand anything. It seems difficult
There are professionals who specialize in fixing solar panels, if you do not understand the power requirements, you can contract the service of one close to you so they do the calculations for you.

There is a method for them to calculate the power requirement of all the equipment you want to use on the solar, and then they add some more space for any other little thing that you may need the solar to power. They do the calculation, and tell you the number of panels you will need as well as the number of batteries you will require.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 13, 2024, 11:57:52 PM
For sure, Ngannou will excel in boxing with time, if puts his mind to it, at least he now knows that boxing is not only by physical strength alone but by the way one applies their defense and tactics they use to attack their opponent.
The first two fighters he has faced in his boxing career are top boxers, against less professional gamblers, I am sure Francis will win. He has had a good taste of boxing and must by now understand that a boxing professional will always be superior to a fighter from the MMA who wants to box.

It is a good learning experience for him, he made some good money while at it, the hype was surely there.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 13, 2024, 07:55:26 PM
As everyone knows the goal of betting is to get the largest amount of money ,
Not always to win, sometimes for fun too.

knowing that the risks do not change whether you bet a large or small amount,
The risk changes, the money you are using to bet and willing to loose is what you are risk. A bettor who uses big amount in betting is risking big, unlike a gambler using a small amount of money who is not risking much financially.

sometimes the amount you bet with is your capital, and this drains you of your time and money, and perhaps your work and daily tasks.
It takes some few minutes to place your bets if you bet online, I do not really see how that drains you of time and can hinder you from other daily tasks.

249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 13, 2024, 07:42:51 PM
Gambling is not about betting on your team to win.
If you would bet on the obvious option that will loose just because you want to satisfy your emotional attachment, it is the same as just setting on fire the money you want to use in gambling.

Why would I? When I am not stupid. If I know a club would win my team, I will stake on the other club.
Take compensation for your team disappointing you, and be happy that your club at least made you some money.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 13, 2024, 07:22:18 PM
~
Even though he won the bet, it does not still take out the stupidity from the decision. It was a stupid decision that paid off. If you a gambler consider taking this kind of decision, also be ready to face the possible consequences of your actions.

The man in subject may have had a personal reason why he was comfortable to take such a risk, and that reason we will never know.

251  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 13, 2024, 07:01:47 PM
The last one that I remember that caused me significant loss was when I was winning $45 already but I set TP at $50. The market later went down and I lost money a lot. As a trader, it is good not to be greedy.
You tell the traders to be patient with trading  and while trading, but sometimes it begins to feel like you mean they should be more greedy and should always wait until TP to take profit. When you are advised to be patient, it applies to your strategy of observing the market before entering, but not to taking profit when you perceive that the market  may go the other way when you are making profit.

It is always an emotional battle every trader who has been long in the market faces, if to wait or to just take profit. The strategy a trader friend of mine uses is to take profit, and then re-enter the market again with a new stop loss, so if the market goes sideways, they would have made some profit still.
252  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will you bitcoin holders sell if we have a major price spike? on: March 11, 2024, 03:17:37 PM
Why sell at all?
If there is no real purpose to sell, then no need to sell.

It's smarter to keep your profits in Bitcoin.
I don't agree completely, It is also smart to use the profit from investing in bitcoins to invest in other things that will be profitable like real estate etc. If you still keep all your profits and hold only bitcoin as investment, that is complying with keeping all your eggs in one basket, which is not good.
253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Application do you use to monitor crypto movements daily? on: March 11, 2024, 10:07:12 AM
Most times i Use browser and a website with charts, but sometimes its hard to find the tab.

What do you recommend for a linux user?

I dont always monitor the market...
And it is probably for the best because of the pressure that constant monitoring of the market can put on an investor. An investor who regularly monitors the market will regularly experience mood swings coupled with emotional disturbance from fear, uncertainty and doubt.

As much as it is good to monitor the market, It is not always advisable to always monitor the markets if you are not emotionally capable.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer betting your own predictions or from prediction site on: March 10, 2024, 09:40:18 PM
So i want to know as a gambler that you are, do you feel following those betting predictions from those sites would favour us in gambling more than our own predictions? For me i trust my predictions and i have won more when i predict for myself than letting someone predict for me.
If you win from your predictions, will there be any need to depend on another person or source for game predictions?.

Majority of the people who depend on other people's predictions are people who do not trust their knowledge of the game they are about to bet on, and then people who are just in the sports to make money from betting on it.

As a gambler and sports bettor, I prefer my own predictions but I'm not against taking tips from other experienced individual with proven records or external sources that have good result.
255  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Telegram channel for cryptocurrency analysis on: March 10, 2024, 09:11:12 PM
Is there a channel that provides reliable analysis?
If you ask this question on a wrong platform you would have been referred to many dubious channels owned by scammers who are hoping to scam you soon. Care should be taken with the kind of questions we ask publicly at times because some questions actually reveal our vulnerability and makes us vulnerable to people who may mean us harm, but will come in the disguise of wanting to help. We should be careful of where we ask questions, how we ask and who we ask too.

Telegram has almost been taken over by scammers, In every 10 telegram channels, there is a likelihood of just two being legit. Maybe you may want to seek analysis elsewhere and not telegram, or even better master the process of making analysis for yourself.
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It’s unlikely that anyone besides you will be happy with your winnings. on: March 10, 2024, 08:45:16 PM
Sharing it with your close friends is more than enough.
Not just close friends, but close friends who you know are mature. Not all close friends are mature enough to know that having a sense of entitlement is bad.

~
Whenever you win a very huge amount of money, it is often advised that you do not tell everyone because telling people can jeopardize your safety. My suggestion will be to take a mini vacation to another place so you can stay away and think of the best way to spend the money wisely without being under the influence of friends and family members who may want to put you under pressure to spend recklessly.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2024, 06:02:52 PM
Saka couldn’t come up with anything spectacular yet again. It would be a week of low points after all but, on a broad scale, it wouldn’t matter so much.
Blank week too for Haaland who had fewer touches in the game than Mo Salah who came in the second half and had more effect. It was a really end to end game, many chances wasted by Liverpool, particularly Luis Diaz.

I am happy with the outcome of the game, It hugely favors Arsenal whose next opponent is Manchester City. If we can keep KDB and Foden quiet, we the Arsenal can gun them down.

Pep will be hoping that the injury to Ederson is not very serious.
258  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We need more multiplayer casino games! on: March 10, 2024, 05:52:11 PM
Casinos and betting websites are created more for making profits than for satisfying every demand of their customers, the gamblers who play on them.

Unless if the casino is going to make players earn 50% of what they bet while the rest goes to the casino pocket, it is going to be a difficult business in the long run because it might not be patronized like the way casino games are going to be patronized.
I imagine that multiplayer games must have been considered, but because it will not be as profitable as the gamblers playing directly against the house, many casinos have chosen to ignore it completely, or reduce the number of multiplayer games they have.

If a casino you already play on does not have enough multiplayer games, find a casino or platform that offers such.
259  Economy / Economics / Re: Banking on people's ideas, visions, and talents. on: March 10, 2024, 05:19:54 PM
What do you think?
Good, new and brilliant business ideas are not new to come by, and If you meet persons who have an abundant of brilliant ideas, and you have the resources to sponsor their idea, it could be your way to wealth. There must be many businesses in the world that came to life simply because the ideas of the CEO's were very good and they met investors ready to invest in their ideas.

If you are the person with a brilliant idea that needs funding, there is also a need to be cautious with who you share it to for funding because immediately you share all the details to a wrong investor with a bad mind, they can take your idea and make it theirs and you who has the idea will be sidelined and there will be nothing you will be able to do about it because the poor is usually powerless against the rich that has enough money to buy their way through almost any situation.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 09, 2024, 11:59:19 PM
only those who used what they can't afford to lose to gamble are the one who makes noise over every little lost just as me.
For example, when a gambler loses an amount he can afford to lose there is no need complaining about it openly because it is something they are used to and have prepared for mentally before it happened. It is people who are usually aware of their gambling choices and the amounts they have used in gambling that usually worry about it, and sing it out that these people lost this kind of amount of money. Had Drake not made public his bet slip, we never would have known of his losses, and the amount he has lost to this betting on boxing.
