Hello, i just recently login into https://evolution.dcrstats.com/profile and i can't see my total balance.

I've been join the evo since the first time it's launch, and i also got the token. Which is also i can't see it now.

anyone can answer Huh

Hi foxkyu,

Dcrstats Evolution has been shutdown, last live tickets still voting though.
Don't worry, of course your funds are safe. If you have any problems with withdrawals, we will solve it.
Please contact directly via official email: info@dcrstats.com

Is there a tutorial on buying tickets for refugees from dcr evolution? It was such a great service, so thanks for the time it was up, I'd love to keep staking but do I need my PC on 24/7, or can I buy tickets and then leave my wallet offline.

No, you can stake with a pool (just like with Evolution) and have your wallet offline. The new Decredition wallet has a nice UI for buying tickets. You just need to configure it once with your pool info. I'm pretty sure it also has an auto-buy feature, so you should be able to get the same functionality the Evo service offered.

If you decide to stake with the help of a pool though, you actually give away control over your tokens don't you?

No, not at all. All you do is delegate the right to vote to the pool (on your behalf). You still have 100% control of the coins, and at no point does the pool have access to or control over your private keys.

The now-retired Evolution service from DcrStats was different. Using that service did indeed require you to trust the operator, as they technically controlled the coins you deposited to the service. Very much like a typical exchange today.

Thanks to the great Vitalik for the etherium, without him I would not know about crypto currency, investment, work

Haha you didn't know about investments or work before Ethereum came about?  Roll Eyes Tongue

I am very surprising by this WAVI address http://wavi.lchain.cc/address/WSUf2rJXQ2khmV71HBxKVNSgmJon61C6fV
This address have 111375.02370911 WAVI : that is 13,54% of the total supply.
And it is not an exchange, but a miner : each bloc it's supply is growing of 36 WAVI...

Interesting to know what is the explaination : the CPU power needed for such mining reward is too big for an unique miner and I doubt that big CPU mining installations are interested by a coin whithout one or two serious exchange.

More than likely: it's an established bot net, mining on the slave comps.

Wavi telegram room is growing . Lets make Wavi great together. Join us
https://t.me/wavichat
Don't join telegram group : all social networks are bad for the crypto, there is too many place to be.
If you want some power in a large public : stay in this forum.

lol I feel bad for your portfolio if you get all your community interaction from just btctalk. GL with that tho.

In order to reach ATH again there should be some really good news about ETH.
I don't see any reason to write such non-sense thread. This is basic stuff that everyone in the crypto ecosystem already know. It is really hard to find informative, high-quality threads to read due to abundant non-sense threads like yours.
Please don't do this next time, m8.

lol you might as well try to tell someone "don't have an opinion". Welcome to the internet Smiley

Being a long term hodler of ETH, i think the recent asic debate should be ignored.
We always knew from day one, that ETH was going to pos.
My first posts here over 2year ago, was because i wanted into the ETH pos system.
Hopefully sometime this year the transition may start.
There is no point writing new code and HF to prevent new asics that wont last more than 12months.

If for any reason, pos/hybrid pos is a long way off and asics do become an issue, then the new code could be put into the next planned update on the roadmap.
Not a HF specifically for removing asics today.

Also check out whats happening to xmr now...
On April 6 the privacy-centric cryptocurrency monero (XMR) forked the protocol in order to make the digital asset’s mining ecosystem egalitarian. However, the hard fork has led to the birth of four monero-based blockchain branches all claiming to be the “original monero.”
https://news.bitcoin.com/privacy-coin-xmr-splits-into-four-different-monero-protocols/

After reading this and observing from the sidelines,
i feel there should should be no fork for asics.

Keep up the excellent work team ETH  Kiss Kiss Kiss

Well said. I agree, the whole issue is really blown out of proportion. There's very little need to do anything regarding the PoW algo since we're already planning to change the consensus model in the first place! Literally since day 1 like you said!

Let the devs work on the important stuff like scalability. The network will be no worse off for a year or so with Asics than it already is with the massive (centralized) gpu farms that actually make up a huge chunk of the hashpower today.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 10, 2018, 02:09:43 AM
My test is with 70% and 1070ti.
The best thing you should do is run your rigs with your settings and see which one is more profitable.
Each rig is different (different drivers, different card, different OS, different patch of OS etc...)
Anything can affect your results.
In one configuration one miner will win, in another, another miner will win.
External tests should be taken only for reference.

This should be stickied or something Smiley

Dyrk ended with evolution and is now only with the dcrstats pool.
He warned everyone 2 months in advance.
Send a pm to him, I'm sure your coins are safe.
can you give me the link? anyone i can ask?

Thanks

You should have gotten an email. It contained links for next steps:

Dear user,

we're sorry to announce that we're closing Dcrstats Evolution. All ticket purchases were stopped, but platform will continue work for voting and withdrawals at least 6-12 months longer. Of course, withdrawals will be available until there is any spendable amount in the wallet.

To make closing smooth and comfortable, we have introduced new "Auto Withdrawal" feature.

We invite every user to set your personal address for automatic withdrawals in this page:
https://evolution.dcrstats.com/profile/deposit

We will be automatically withdrawing 100% of spendable balances every 5 minutes to those who will be using this feature.

Also, we invite all Evolution users to continue using our Stakepool directly:
https://stakepool.dcrstats.com/

This is 100% safe because only you control your private keys. While Evolution was a successful project and everything went smooth, we suggest you do not use such services like Evo ever again. This may be extremely unsafe, so try to avoid trustee services in the future Wink

Feel free to reply to this email in case of any doubt.

Thank you for your trust and support all these years,
Dcrstats team.

lol, it looks a lethal answer, i see it like a fun joke, back on ethereum why all feel better than that while they are nothing

Turning to the Antminer E3 -

Antminer E3 180mhs for 800watts = 1mhs per 4.44watts
RX Vega 64 43mhs for 134watts = 1mhs per 3.11watts.
RX 580 29.5mhs for 98watts = 1mhs per 3.33watts
RX 1060 24mhs for 90watts = 1mhs per 3.75watts

Yelp, Vitalik wants the Ethereum Networks electricity bill to increase with Antminer E3, which has up to 42% higher electricity usage than the GPU architectures! Does not seem very wise, to increase the underlying electricity consumption of the entire network.

Later this year AMD and Nvidia will be releasing new GPUs sporting and an extra 20%-25% performance and enlarged memory throughput.

RX Vega 64 Refresh 51.6mhs for 134watts = 1mhs per 2.59watts

Then, the difference in efficiency will be 59% between current GPU generation and Antminer E3 for electricity bills.

As a guide, each Antminer E3 will cost the network an extra $200-$210 per annum in higher electricity usage (cost calculated at $0.12kWh) - not exactly what the network needs right now!

What does this have to do with the linked tweet? It was about plagiarism, not the breakdown of mining equipment lol. Use the reply button for such things, not the quote.  Roll Eyes

The community is discussing what Vitalik said at the Ethereum Core Devs Meeting #36

No, the comment you quoted and then went off topic on contained a link where Vitalik was trolling the Tron team. It's pretty well known they straight copied text from other white papers for use in their own white paper.

That's why you should use the "reply" button instead of "quote" button if you're going to change topic. It makes reading through comments easier.

Can you CPU mine this currency?

P.S. can you please elaborate on why mining on a laptop is a bad idea? I currently don't own any desktops and my laptop has done an ok job at mining other cryptocurrencies

You can, but it's not worth it at all (unless your electricity is free). Even then, you'll make fractions of a penny a day.

You *can* mine on laptops, but you can't expect that laptop to live too long. Unless its specifically a gaming/high-performance laptop, the hardware in it isn't meant to be used 100% 24/7. Eventually, the fans will likely stop working, and you'll have to deal with overheating issues. You would also need to be able to replace the thermal paste on your cpu/gpu, as it would likely break down quickly under mining conditions.

If you want a cpu-only coin, check out WAVI or XMG. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3146751.0

Some news about WAVI ?
Everything is great. The project is light years forward than all other CPU scams last 4 months.
The only problem is: it's the only one! No alternatives! So if something happens with WAVI, we would be in the middle of nowhere...again...

What's wrong with XMG?

Soooooo.....why the hell can't I mine any more than an infinitesimal amount of this anymore? Had my claymore on dual mines and it's like double or triple the time now to get a payout. I thought supernova was screwing me, but now wondering if it's this proof of stake crap.....

Check out the difficulty graphs. Lots of new hash power coming in, pumping up the difficulty (it's doubled in the last month alone). https://dcrstats.com/pow

This project how many I observe from start most, is always occupied with the business and moves forward. Actually such projects are not enough where there is not enough negative and speak only on business much. It of course pleases. Even in the times of trouble here everything is normal, the interesting fact. Smiley

huh?  Huh
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: March 31, 2018, 03:34:12 AM
Would you support a hard fork that obsceletes ETH ASICs?

making changes to the algorithm is more centralization
it is better to depend of a pool that is controlled by the state rather than on multiple developers
independence from States will lead to the disappearance of States and uncontrolled crime

uh huh....so updating software is somehow an act of centralization? Leads to centralization? lol please explain this senseless assertion.

A well known community member who cann't post links here for having a noob account has developed this amazing google spreadsheet to track all the movements of your tickets with all the statistics since you started the POS mining.

It's free and to use it's necessary to have a google account

https://decred.livre.to/poscontrol

That's awesome. Great share

I get around 500h/s with ryzen 7 1800x. That seems low? Anyone got any tips? This is the first coin im mining on CPU, only used GPUs before so im new to this  Grin Love this project tho, thats why i started.

I've got an i9-7980xe, getting ~740h/s @3.3ghz.

We have seen many people were talking about about that also it looks like ethereum will try to consider hybrid program
With Ice age that already released through first difficulty increase and that means hybrid becomes a real thing in the future. Consider POS casper is not fully mean ethereum will move into the POS system. It looks like ethereum still needed miners to keep the decentralization.

Correct. It's already been confirmed that before we see full PoS, there will be a hybrid PoW/PoS consensus model. From the interviews I've listened to on the subject, it sounds like it will work a lot like Decred's PoW/PoS system (though, without the voting capabilities).
