241  Other / Politics & Society / Re: China asks world to impose 'code of conduct' on Internet on: October 11, 2015, 03:44:26 PM
They ain't going to get very far with their restricted internet idea. It's one thing to deny freedom in the first place it's quite another to remove freedom people already enjoy. The rest of the world is used to China being a blackout zone it will just be business as usual (unless China teams up with Russia Sad )
242  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Causes of Mass shootings, suicides + - Many of them are on psychotropic drugs on: October 11, 2015, 03:39:19 PM
I was given anti depressants as a young teen. I was depressed but I had good reason. This was never discussed I was simply given pills. A few months later I was hallucinating paranoid and delusional. Diagnosis: schizophrenia and I was institutionalized and put on anti psychotic meds. I eventually (with great deal of struggle) got away from the psych industry and take no drugs and am fine now years later but I trust no doctor have no relationship with my parents and suffer PTSD

The system is f#%^ed
243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Academic researchers seeking Bitcoin users for survey on: October 11, 2015, 07:50:13 AM

244  Other / Politics & Society / Re: PUTIN goes to WAR against ISIS on: October 10, 2015, 03:03:06 PM

245  Other / Meta / Re: Moved back - This forum became so disgusting. Thanks to Smooth, iCEBRAKER and their sockpuppets on: October 10, 2015, 02:57:49 PM
i enjoy icebreakers rants. hes often bang on too... well... maybe not so much on icedrill, but still

he's kinda grown on me over the years

the thing these scam busters miss completely though, is;

you catch more flies with honey.

if they want to steer people away from scams it would help if they werent so condescending, insulting, and mean

it makes people want to oppose them, not agree

of course there is no doubt they care nothing for the financial well being of anyone

they just want to be able to say "I told ya so!"

ALWAYS BET ON iceDRILL, lol
246  Other / Meta / Re: Why is Theymos Admin and Not Satoshi? on: October 10, 2015, 02:50:09 PM
i would think satoshi has better things to do with his time, and more money than most of us could dream of to do it with.

he probably doesn't even visit here. there's not much worth reading

either that or he's sig farming 5 accounts just for teh lulz

probably not though
247  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: October 10, 2015, 12:53:10 PM
I'm just curious who, in this day and age, actually pays for porn? You would have to be such a noob that I am surprised you can even find your dick in the first place.
248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe BITCOIN in ONE word. on: October 10, 2015, 12:49:02 PM
This is a hard one. Bitcoin isn't just any one thing after all, it can do so much... But if you asked me to describe how I feel about Bitcoin in just one word I would have to say

Boner!
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why you mostly like bitcoin compare to other digital currency? on: October 10, 2015, 12:46:34 PM
It's the biggest most well known widest used and the best. It carries the most value. It is Coke all others are discount cola... Not even Pepsi.
It has the most utility and no alt has brought anything new to the table.

If btc doesn't make it no crypto will.

That is all
250  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-10] Tyler Winklevoss: Gemini will have a positive effect on price on: October 10, 2015, 11:58:18 AM
It's good what they're doing. How many exchanges have been run under questionable practices? Not just Gox (extreme example) but almost every one has had some irregularities. Just when you think an exchange is legit suddenly you find out its run by one guy from his moms basement or they simply vanish without a trace... What straight world financier would want anything to do with any of them.

The winklvii may have made a deal with the devil by going legit regulated and public, but if they continue doing things the proper way and above board they could indeed attract the old boys who otherwise would never dream of getting into btc.

There's a reason for regulation and its to keep things honest... In theory anyways. Besides, would you rather deal with tools like mark karepeles?
251  Economy / Gambling / Re: Has this ever happened to you in Gambling or it's just me? on: October 10, 2015, 10:31:59 AM
I only ever experience losing streaks, never winning streaks. When I win it is very occasionally and one time then back to losing.

It's why I don't really gamble that much. It's just loss after loss until every once in a while I'll hit a tiny win
252  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Isle of Man: What is it like there? on: October 10, 2015, 10:24:37 AM
If you need to relocate somewhere you should go visit and stay there for at least a few months, maybe even a year first. I have relocated on a whim and regretted it. Things aren't always what they seem.

As for aisle of Man... It looks BORING! Like seriously nothing going on there. Sheep and farms and little else. If that's your thing by all means go there, but I would go crazy there personally.

As for seeking btc places... Btc is border less man, you can use it anywhere. Just because a place has friendly regulation... I don't see the attraction.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: use chargeback to get free bitcoins? on: October 10, 2015, 09:33:16 AM
Won't work. Exchange has your bank info and public address. They have records of you transferring money and getting btc. Your attempt at fraud will get exposed.

As for credit cards... No one in their right mind accepts cc for btc sales.

I have a better scam. Build a wallet that looks like any other wallet. Has one difference. When you send btc to it, it shows the tx and balance, however, in reality it has sent all btc to your address at a mixer. By the time they figure it out you could be long gone.

You could even mimic existing wallets and mimic their download pages, tricking users to download your bogus black hole wallet

Basically a dummy wallet, a bait n switch scam. It would only work for a while until exposed but still you could grab a fair amount of btc

I'm actually surprised this hasn't happened already
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happened to all the old timers? on: October 10, 2015, 08:59:22 AM
There's not much going on with btc the forums gone to shit overrun with sig farmers and noobs plus there are many other places to get news and discuss things.

The old timers have moved on. Simple as that

256  Economy / Goods / Re: Chickens for Bitcoins? on: October 10, 2015, 08:04:45 AM
How much do you know about chickens anyway? Just asking, because a young healthy hen should lay an egg a day more or less. You expect 300 eggs a year? That means you want one (1) hen. That wouldn't take much space, but whatever.
Find a chicken farmer and ask him if he can get you a chick. It will be full grown and laying in only a few months. Then you just gotta keep it dry. They will die if they get soaking wet, so it needs a shelter. Throw some feed at it every day and the rest takes care of itself. It's pretty simple.
257  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-10]CCN-DORIAN NAKAMOTO GOES ON EPIC TIRADE ABOUT BITCOIN & GLOBAL... on: October 10, 2015, 07:57:49 AM
I don't care if Dorian is Satoshi or not (pretty sure he ain't) but he's freakin' funny & I like him. He should be bitcoin's official (and reluctant) mascot.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep your bitcoins secure if you suddenly disappear (jail or prison) on: October 10, 2015, 07:03:02 AM
I think backup wallet and keep save in Mega cloud, best cloud in internet
Or like somebody adviced here leave  USA and go Canada,Canada is friendly for Native American and crypto

Umm. I'm Canadian and part native. We like to show off to the world that were great to our first people's and always have dancers at public events n stuff, but if you know anything about our history, about policy even today, or have ever visited a reserve up north... You would not say that. Native people in Canada make the poorest blacks in the USA look like Danish Royalty.

Basically the image of Canada as a progressive humanitarian nation is a sham. We are just America's bitch.
259  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2010-10-09]DNOTES, WANTS TO LAUNCH A BLOCKCHAIN-BASED NEW PAYMENT SYSTEM on: October 09, 2015, 08:28:04 PM
It's pretty vague, that article... As far as I can tell is DNotes is an altcoin, probably premised and most likely centralized. I hate altcoins almost as much as I hate promos pretending to be news.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to keep your bitcoins secure if you suddenly disappear (jail or prison) on: October 09, 2015, 08:21:03 PM
I've got my ledger wallet in a safe place, and I trust my wife, so if I need to access my btc she could do it for me. I've also shown her where it is so if she needs to move out the house she can retrieve it for me. Basically, I trust my wife.

I've got lots of valuable stuff I know she will look after for me if I have to "go away"
