241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Paper Betting- Would You Consider it if you Were to Start Sports betting Again on: March 22, 2024, 06:56:15 AM
Good idea but I'm sure that some people here would disagree and say that they should just do it for real and bet money while practicing and in this case, relearning. I do think that it's a neat idea and I don't see any problem in doing this one too because it's a good help to gauge how good you are with your betting and your analysis of the teams and the games. I think that practicing your bets or any kind of practice including the trading is an underrated thing for many of us, it's such a good way to make sure that you're ready for what to come and at the same time make sure that you're going to be confident with yourself and that you won't be quickly fumbling on things that you're doing, I advocate for people to be doing this kind of thing even if some might think that it's stupid.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Making decisions while betting on: March 22, 2024, 06:06:46 AM
Emotion always fuck us a lot. so for gambling we should control our emotion first.unable to control emotions can lead to huge losses through gambling. when one cannot keep his emotions under control, he will make bad decisions and start placing big bets. I totally agree with you that using 1-5% of weekly or monthly income for gambling is a standard strategy. adhering to this can save us from gambling addiction and it can protect us from major losses
Maybe that's the case for people that are lead by their emotions, I think that rather than training to be emotionless, why not embrace those emotions and at the same time and not be a slave to them, you're probably better off that way since that shows class rather than being an edgy teenager trying to bottle it up. That's a really low end if you ask me and it shouldn't be that way, maybe make it 10% if you're not earning 6 digits a month so you can make the most out of your gambling habit, 1% will only matter when the number is in the millions up to billions of income so don't do that to yourself, be generous when it comes to your habit at the least, if you're in control of that anyway, you won't go overboard so gamble away. If you're consistently gambling at 1-5%, it's still probably and addiction although an unsatisfying one especially if you don't make a lot of money.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 22, 2024, 04:12:15 AM
I often to see this on youtube video. Indeed, sometimes things like this are quite brave, but when you are sure you will win it all, there's no harm in trying. because there is only one life and chance. You have to try this only chance, and I am really sure he will regret it when didn't try it. and I'm sure he probably has good instincts about that. There was no way he would dare risk all his savings on that just like that, It seemed like he heard a whisper from his conscience that he would definitely win.
If you're sure that you're going to win it all and that there's no other way that you can lose that spin, throw, or deal then you'd be in the best position to just do it anyway and gamble all that money away because you're going to get all your money back. I do think so too that he's got the instinct to bet that much money without the regard for what could happen when things don't go in your favor, I now wonder what could've happened to him if the opposite happened, this man's going to be homeless for sure or maybe do something really scary. I'm also worried with the fact that this is spreading on social media, who knows what kind of people are going to see this and see it as an inspiration to gamble their life savings away too, I can only imagine.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does pragmatic play bonus buy really worth it? on: March 22, 2024, 03:31:12 AM
It seems like you're caught up in the excitement of playing Pragmatic Play games on Stake.com. While the graphics are impressive, the returns from the bonus buy feature might not be worth it especially if you're frequently losing. It's puzzling why many users still opt for it, considering the high cost and limited winnings. Sure Pragmatic's games are visually appealing but when it comes to winning, they might not be your best bet especially without a 0.1$ minimum bet option. Exploring other providers with better returns could be worth a shot
The reason is probably because of the bonus, they can get more plays out of their deposit so with more plays means more chances of winning, you don't have to get why these people are still gambling because they're the type to not care what others have to say about their habits which is a good thing and I always support whatever makes people happy and those stuff don't mess or abuse other people so as long as they do that, I don't see any reason to question what they do or be mad about it. Regarding exploring other providers though, maybe it's a thing that should be done by OP once he gets bored of Pragmatic's games, there's a lot of games that Pragmatic showcases so it's not going to be anytime soon that OP would take a look at another provider, maybe on a whim he'd do it but forcing or advising OP to do so right now isn't really going to be a good idea.
245  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Democracy or Oligarchy? on: March 21, 2024, 11:48:54 PM
We haven't achieved true democracy yet in my opinion so I'd still strive for democracy to be the ruling governmental system in all countries. In regards to the question of is it ever an oligarchy, I would say that it is but not in a sense that it's a blatant one, these corrupt politicians knew that if they ever blatantly show off their power with impunity to their people, they risk getting abdicated from that throne either by force or through other peaceful means so they don't show that way, they're also good at appealing to the dumb poor, they create the promises and hope that the poor people would not think twice about voting for them. As I've said, we haven't achieved democracy yet because if the candidates can influence the voters by making false promises, it's not really free will that they got voted on.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling friendly countries on: March 21, 2024, 09:02:41 AM
I believe Monaco has the best in terms of getting your maximum payout of the gambling that you have. Most of the casinos there, I read, that it's really luxurious and you know that it's expensive and a reason to let people go in there and gamble.

Maybe Macau as well? I think it is the main purpose of people when going there. It's always because of the casino and I read somewhere that it has low tax rates for players.

Are you planning to go international OP?
I don't know about Macau, they're an administrative region of China so I don't think that they'd ever want to consider having that kind of set up that they're not getting a big piece on the gambling business through taxes. I don't think that Monaco is the best one, is there like a link that says otherwise about them being the best gambling haven in the world? I'd like to check it out. I don't want to do a lot of Google search but I do believe that whatever country is the most gambling friendly when we're talking about taxes, there's a possibility that the country that would do that is a country don't mind the taxes, meaning that they're rich already in other aspects, that can be a factor too.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Feelings on losing the match and the bet on: March 21, 2024, 08:26:04 AM
Definitely would feel bad but not sad, that's part of the game, there has to be a winner and there's no way that they didn't give their all so I know for a fact that I can't do much besides controlling how I feel when I'm watching my favorite team losing especially on the times that I've placed a bet on them. I guess when this happens, it's a matter of catharsis and self-reflection for me because that's how it should be, that you should always consider how you would react on things and never let it lead you to something miserable. It might be unbearable but you can always move on, whenever I do this, I don't even take a day anymore to be mad about this kind of thing from happening, I just groan a little then move on, too many stuff in my life is happening to dwell too long on my favorite team losing.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It’s unlikely that anyone besides you will be happy with your winnings. on: March 21, 2024, 06:52:50 AM
I would like to discuss this topic, the joy of victory. Much has been written about this, but nevertheless it will always be relevant. Many players naively believe that someone other than themselves should be happy about their winnings.
Can be different for each individuals as there's no absolute behavior for each people, some people you can definitely talk about when it comes to wins and losses, some you really don't want to be doing that because you know them as a person. There's also the irony that sometimes you tell it to your loved ones and they're the one that will betray you for the money and when you tell it to your friend, they're the one's that don't envy what you've won and would even celebrate with you so yes, there's no absolute. The only thing that's absolute is probably the fact that it's up to you who you're sharing that story of your winnings because at the end of the day, you'd want to share that because it's the healthiest thing that you can do since it helps your confidence and self-esteem.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Marketing Strategies for New Casinos? on: March 21, 2024, 06:18:32 AM
Signature campaign alone is not enough, the product which is being advertised is also need to be attractive to make the advertisement works effectively. Otherwise, signature campaign can be the worst way because it will waste their money only. Maybe some people will be interested to visit after they see the signature in this forum but if they do not find something attractive in the product, then they will not be interested to use the product.
Totally agree with you on this one, definitely not enough that they're reliant on signature campaign alone because as I recall, this isn't a thing on any other forums out there and at the same time it's only covering a little group of people on the Internet so I can definitely side with you on that fact. I think that the best way to advertise for casinos is to sponsor players and teams on different kinds of sports because that's where most people tune in, fights and matches that anyone in the world can see. Look at all the famous brands paying top dollar just to be one the chest of the jersey of a fighter or a watermark on the octagon. Television and computer is still the best way in my opinion when it comes to advertising, although the Internet is slowly taking up the first spot for the best media to advertise, TV still got the most people glued in to them.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 21, 2024, 05:11:24 AM
When it comes casual gambling with little to no luck, I don't think that it's ever going to be worth it no matter how you look at it but if we look at gambling as for fun and not for profit, definitely worth the squeeze if you ask me and I think that between those two, that will decide whether you should continue gambling or not. Maybe skills do matter some time thus making it worth the squeeze but if you look at how much you've spent on a grand scale, you'd probably have a different opinion in regards to the worth of the time and money you've spent winning that amount of money in gambling.
251  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🐳 @Whale - Whale.io 🐳 💰 Daily Cashbacks 💰 #SometimesLoseAlwaysWin on: March 21, 2024, 03:28:19 AM
That hashtag is a really nice one although it's going to be not true, it's a good way to attract people into your website, there's more chances of winning than losing? A lot of people would definitely count out the fact that they're promised. Regarding your website name, I hope that you hold on to that for your dear life because as some users have said, it's a really good domain name and you're probably be able to sell that for a really high price. Totally agree with @Nrcewker, there's professionalism in the way that you're doing things here, I don't know who's behind your marketing but you guys aren't newbies to this thing, I'm sure of that.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer's fan took his own life due to addiction on: March 21, 2024, 02:40:52 AM
There are streamers who are constantly reminding people that they should not gamble especially if they don't have the financial capacity to do so. There are also streamers out there who market their sponsors like there's no tomorrow, leading to other people believing that they can also get the same luck. Unfortunately, the decision still lies to those viewers and can make the necessary steps to avoid spiraling into debt or other financial problems caused by gambling. It's a very tragic story, but we as gamblers should always take this to our minds that streamers are mostly paid to do these types of promotion online, and that they have this safety net that not everyone of us have.
Even if they do that which is the bare minimum that they do, it's not enough because some people are so obsessed with their idol streamers that they're going to ignore everything that isn't favorable to them or that isn't being an example of a streamer, they'll continue to do what the streamers do because they want to make sure that they're keeping up with their lives, that's how it is with this people. I think that the streamer has the biggest responsibility because they are broadcasting their words and actions to a thousands of viewers and they're definitely going to be influencing some of them if not all of them. As much as I agree that it's the responsibility of the person not to be influenced, that's already like the cure stage in a disease and being a responsible streamer is the prevention part, there are some streamers that have principles that don't gamble or just won't do it and they knew that they can influence people into doing what they're doing and they don't like the idea that the people that are supporting them are becoming an addict because of them, if some streamers can do that even though the money is good, then it's possible to decline those offers.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A personal view on: March 17, 2024, 09:47:17 AM
I know I'm from a younger generation so my answer is going to be a little bit different, whenever I see women in gambling, my first instinct is to try and get her attention unless it's an online gambling, it's going to be a different thing. I don't believe though that men are going to be indifferent when there's a women out there in the gambling scene though, when something is unusual, you almost always want to try and get their attention especially if they're your type. I can't be saying that all men are like that but I'm a man so I know how our mind's work, some of us aren't that different when a woman is involved. Regarding feeling about them being on the gambling scene though, I think it's nice because that means that everyone's got a fair chance and everyone's allowed unlike back then where one gender is strictly assigned to a role that a deviation from it would lead to a punishment.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 17, 2024, 08:59:36 AM
Love is stupid after all so bet away, you know that you're going to lose and you're betting for your love of that team means that you're not really going to listen to any kind of logic that would prevent you from doing so. The point of this is to show solidarity and loyalty to the team so there's nothing wrong even if me and others say that it's stupid or illogical to do so. Also, it's worth noting that miracle and comebacks can happen so if you've bet on your favorite team albeit they're losing so badly, and then something miraculous happens and they won then it's an added bonus to you, that you were able to rely on them for bet and that your love for the team paid off.
255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Even as a sport fan be careful! on: March 17, 2024, 08:07:55 AM
~
it's also worrying to hear such incidents especially since there are really many fans who want to watch the game. As usual, the team they admire doesn't know them so they can hurt each other just because they are different from the team they support, and we don't control other people's minds, why don't we just let them choose who they want to support, right? Surely there are other reasons why they have reached the point of being hurt and possibly even resorting to violence. Since Live telecast via online is now a trend, it seems like it's better to just watch it that way, at least you know you're safe inside your home.
I guess there's just a lot of dumb people out there that don't know what to do and they immediately resort to violence, I guess that's how they do things in this kind of world, some people are really stupid that they'd kill someone over an event that's probably going to be forgotten and will only be on match record books and archive of television tapes which would probably not be seen for so long. People like that shouldn't even be allowed to attend any kind of sporting event anymore, if they can't take the insult of their favorite team losing then it's probably the best idea if they're not going to be a part of that team, when the team that those scoundrels are supporting would know about this craziness, they'll probably condone that person too. With that kind of attack, it's definitely in your best interest to stay at home even though there's a delay in the game, at least you know that you're going to be safe.
256  Economy / Gambling / Re: Share trusted VPN Friendly crypto casinos on: March 17, 2024, 06:49:02 AM
I don't know why some gamblers oftentimes like the use of VPN if not for something fishy that they may want to perform in which no one knows about than themselves alone, so many crypto gambling casinos go against such,  because allowing for it may render them to any form of attack some fraudulent gamblers may launch against their system and such could be to escape the security measures and attack.
Probably with the belief that it masks their identity when they literally haven't even used any kind of software besides the VPN that's the equivalent of script kiddies saying they can hack your account because they can install a keylogger in your computer. Another thing that I can think why it's a thing is probably because of the belief that the Internet is much faster on the other countries when that's not the case. Maybe some people just don't love the idea that they're gambling in their country and that they want to mask it or that it's such a good time to play in that casino that you just have to bypass the restrictions to get there, or the worse one, they're using gambling as a means to launder money, if the casino is blocked in their country then there's no way that they're playing there so the money sent to them from that blocked casino must be a mistake.
257  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitLoto.org - daily crypto lottery on: March 17, 2024, 05:31:32 AM
Is this like legal in your country or just in general? Because I believe that lottery is a highly guarded and it's not easily done by private groups because the government sees it as a means to make their own money with little to no investment, there's this one time that a famous influencer in my country was doing this and they got raided on their live lottery by the authorities as it's illegal. That's where my question is coming from, from the fact that you might get into legal trouble with this one although I think you've probably got it covered. Maybe you also should consider adding your own money into the prize pool so you're going to make it even more attractive to other players since there's more prize money to get.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon Compares Bitcoin to Smoking on: March 17, 2024, 03:46:03 AM
He says that he defends the right to smoke as he defends the right to buy bitcoin which can only mean that he doesn't mind us buying bitcoin but we need to stay away from him. With that kind of statement, I think that it's a really good idea to recommend him to stop yapping about bitcoin because ain't no way that people ever cared about his statement and his words about not investing or being convinced that bitcoin is a thing is as empty as his soul, it don't mean anything for him or any of us because even if he doesn't invest in bitcoin, he's still a rich self-centered attention seeking annoying goblin so to the people that are still caring about what this hoodlum in a suit says, it's high time that you stop doing that because the less people that care about what he has to say about bitcoin, the less he's becoming relevant, the reason that he's probably this way anyway is because he wants the exposure and ire of the bitcoin community not to mention that it also generates his company some exposure.
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we avoid crypto taxes with other users assistance? on: March 17, 2024, 03:09:47 AM
What I can see in the worries of higher crypto taxes is that there's going to be more people that's going to not give the government what they want and crypto can be used as it is, a p2p electronic cash so it's not really that difficult for crypto users to use that as a means of payment although it's a matter of how many people there are in an area that uses cryptocurrency for their transactions. There's also the loophole of P2P trade, you sell your crypto in person and that person that will buy your crypto with their fiat, that way, there's no transaction that can trace you that you did receive some payment, it will look like you gave someone a gift and I think that it's legal so there's no way that you're going to be prosecuted by it, I'm not a lawyer but this is what I do and so far, there's nothing that has happened to me, legally speaking.

The only downside to this is you're going to show your face or something like that, doing P2P trade online is going to be a problem since there's a receipt that you did receive money in that crypto transactions.
260  Other / Archival / Re: I pay .002 BTC, you buy a $5/month SIM from HelloMobile, keep it active 6 months on: March 16, 2024, 05:08:38 PM
What's your way of payment for this service though? If it's pay first and then they can do whatever they want, you're asking yourself to be scammed. Maybe you should only pay someone the amount that you've promised when they do what they do, the buying sim part should have a different payment and then you do a small amounts to make up the 0.002 payment for the month for each services that you've requested in that sim, that way you're not going to get punked at by some lowlife scammers. You also would benefit from accepting the service of those that have an established account so you're getting a second layer of assurance that you're going to be safe.
