2401  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 5.2.0: Zeus X6 Lightening PSU Issue - MINING KILLER! on: July 24, 2015, 11:05:01 AM
Hello,
has anyone had any trouble with driving their Zeus miners with the latest version of BFGminer? I just upgraded (not so far) from ver' 4.2.1 to 5.2.0 which also uses slightly different syntax in the command line.
I am mining via nicehash.com and with version 4.2.1 there are no issues when starting or running the mining program.
But when I start mining with ver' 5.2.0, my psu's overload and quit!
It seems that 5.2.0 is causing a huge power surge at startup where previous versions are totally fine and cause NO issues at all!
Anyone got a fix for this issue?
I'm sure it's a programming error somewhere in the startup code. Or are there any commands I am missing?
I used the command line suggestions for ASIC miners in the readme-ASIC txt and all commands are correct.
I don't see anything in the commands to cause or prevent this startup overload issue.
The reason I am trying to use 5.2.0 is that nicehash wants me to use their extra nonce command #/xnsub command for better efficiency and I guess a few more accepts per cycle than without it.
Thanks for any advice or suggestions you may have in advance!

Sorry guys, here's the command line I am using....

bfgminer --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://scrypt.usa.nicehash.com:3333/#xnsub -u yeahtryit -p d=1024 --set zeusminer:clock=151 -S zeusminer:\\.\COM106 -S zeusminer:\\.\COM222 -S zeusminer:\\.\COM151 --set zeusminer:chips=640

Some names have been changed to protect my ars from hackers Wink

Why not try setting per miner and use PI's as your controllers or one rasp pi  ? windows 10 is due out on the 29 th and has a PI 2 version you might want to look at if you want windows as your miner/controller and look at minera ? .I use 5.2 on my cyclone and it runs way better now that minera fixed it's Calculation issue no over heating PSU never had that issue any way  it just runs a lot better with 5.2 holds a steady 21 to 23 MH at default setting. why even over clock any of them sense Ive found OC is just a waste of power there not worth OC, if you are.

--scrypt -S zus:all --set zus:chips=96 --set zus:clock=330  for the cyclone or T X2 .

per miner setting with minera or without

--scrypt -S zus:/dev/ttyUSB0 --set zus:chips= --set zus:clock= -S zus:/dev/ttyUSB1 --set zus:chips= --set zus:clock=

I'm real amazed the above setting even work and don't over heat every thing. you have set .

I'm not even sure what Zeus has 213 chip per miner and runs with no clock set very well or clock set at 151

The clock setting i know of are 240 to 345 safe clock setting that depends on the miner for best results with any version of BFG miner that supports ZeusMiners.
some setting in older version of BFG you may need to use you don't need with 5.2 but can still use them if you want to.

Last question what Zeus Miner are they ? .)
2402  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LKETC 5T 1000W is it real? on: July 21, 2015, 04:29:16 AM
Most miners even from the start were overpriced but thats what you had to pay to have the newest thing.  Some of it payed off some of it not.  Only just recently did we see hardware affordable enough for most.
The only real question is if they will sell to the public or is it another large buy in.

I know and so were PC at one time. I guess my point is home miner in a way are the back bone, all ways will be and 2k for a miner that all most all ways will never ROI unless you have maybe 5 or so is not worth it to me .

I do want them to at least to pay for them self beyond that i don't care . imo they should keep going down not up but that's how i feel .

and when i see it costs to make them, i have so many things to say to about that but don't,
IL sum it up one word

BS !!!

leave that alone completely.

Any way I  hope these are priced below 1k if they sell them to the public etc  or a buy in, has a nice price, i may get in one .

I do hope we get one more company like bitmain to keep things in a good healthy out look.
2403  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LKETC 5T 1000W is it real? on: July 20, 2015, 08:15:10 PM
This is either a scam or its a unit that will most likely cost around $3000 US dollars that nobody will ever buy.

But its hard to tell since its not a scam company.

They are just announcing early.  I don't believe they are even taking pre-orders.   LKETC has delivered massive amounts of miners.

I would not consider them a scam, just maybe releasing info to quick.

I agree they do seem to care , the ones i have no faith in and never have is grindseed or SFARDS whatever they call them self at the time  they aren't either ( Scams) but price there stuff to high.

I fear this miner might be beyond the reach of a lot of us as well or is it to high, only the big guys can afford it etc I'll be honest i know i can make a lot more then what i do mining all I need to do is move it out of my house but then other thing come to play I don't want to deal with I like having the hardware were i can see it so me having my stuff hosted wont work and most could mining is a joke.I do get tried of buying used stuff because the newer stuff is way to high etc and bitmain has seen that and makes a lot off us on per miner buy, so would the others.
2404  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: LKETC 5T 1000W is it real? on: July 20, 2015, 05:29:58 PM
It's coming one big Price war or no miners to the public any more. we have not really had any thing new Sense Xmas im including the S4 +  so it going to be really really interesting to see who wins and what we get if any thing.

I also think it is safe to say now we won't see no more then one or two new miners a year if selling to the public keeps going , we might see more but very limited buys then none till the big guys put it out we do need two big company's all ways selling to public on a per miner buy with batch buys etc not just one so prices stay healthy . . the real race  is kind of over now like it was with PC's at first ( AMD and Intel)those my age renumber those days I'm  sure.

Smiley  !!!!!

Lets hope whatever it is , is it very good for everyone.

I purchased these fans on ebay, although I am sure others will work. Use a 4 1/2" hole saw to make a hole large enough for the 120 mm fans. Templates are available online to make it easier.

Can you post what replacement fans you used, the three on mine now are very load i want to replace them but not use what with .

ty man i used one of them and a 140mm fan and  i have two pwm  switches coming from china , the fan i linked was to loud and i had two quieter ones laying around one was what you linked Smiley.
2406  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Hardware or Scam on: July 17, 2015, 09:11:38 PM
The name a lone should tell you some thing is not right  THE YesMiner  Lmao and

Does the KNC  version even do 20 th per one miner ? .

I don't know i don't look at KNC stuff to much because I Know we as home miner that do it, would never get one of these if it is even real on our homes brand new unless we know some one.

I saw the same miner in adds some place else but with a diff name one was this forum and one of the exchanges that has a store he was offering to back a loan and all you need to have is a 680 Credit score and buying this on Ebay might tell you something i have yet to see something like this sell on Ebay i would trust them more then this guy , i don't trust them to much either .

And i would think it would cost more then what he is tiring to ripe some one off for if it is real , i would say something like this would sell for closer to 12 K at first but if he can get a few fools at the 5 k price he will make out like a fox in a hen house.
2407  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: How to connect my antminer s5 with bitminter pool? on: July 17, 2015, 08:44:38 PM
Hey guys,

Im new to this so how can I connect my antminer s5 to the bitminter pool?

I've tried the Bitminter client it doesnt work.

Whats the port, address, etc.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

you have to make a account there making a account there is not easy either and if you want stuff you normally get free any place else unlimited miner alerts  etc they charge a fee for at diff donation levels you don't pay for else were and it can be a real pain at times to figure out .I had two S5 there once tiring the service out . I won't comment to much more on it . but will say to me it might be a good service if you don't mind paying for options, all the other Mining site give you free .

I am using CPUminer (GC3355 fork) with this command line:

--gc3355-detect --freq=800 --gc3355-chips=400

Avg in Minera shows 26.66Mh/s. Pool shows 26,815 Kh/s, so I think it is accurate. I also have the miner restart every 24 hours as I do see a drop in speed over time. This seems to help keep the speed consistent.

I do run the Gridseed 5 chip units at 850, but that speed gave me less Mh/s on the G-Black.

In case anyone is interested, I have also modded my G-Black by replacing the three 80mm x 38mm fans with two 120mm x 38mm fans. Runs just as cool with a much more tolerable noise level.

NM no need i got two of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FKNAG7Y?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00

running inside it now they are load as hell but not as bad as the three it had those two fans seem to cool it better just to loud but not as  load as the stock fans , I think I found two other fans at a DB level at like 42 to 45 at full speed and found a way to add power PWM fans to it that Actually work with PWM like the S 1 s3 s5 etc .

@wareck @toptek I fixed a bug for the PHP errors you shouldn't see them anymore.

For the big toggle button, can you check if you have Javascript errors on page? (Check it via browser developer tools).

Then please open this file: http://<YOUR-IP>/minera/assets/css/application.min.css and reload it (to clear the cache and get a fresh copy)

So far so good it seems to be working as intend now i may even put one or two my Zeus online and test it.

give me a week i plan to  donate some btc had some bills to cover mining got me into : ( but it's cool part of mining.

HI
there is still some minor bug:
In the conf pannel, some box show "class" error

And some toggle box have bad size:

I think the CSS problems are cache problems or may be you missed some files, please open Developer Tools (menu View of Chrome) and check the console for errors (give us a screenshot of that)

For the php errors, please copy and paste the error or send a bigger image, can't read anything.

Is it installed on a Raspberry with image file or is it a manual install?

I see the same thing im using fire fox at first i thought it was me .so i went back to 4.0 and  worked my way up to 5.0 sense i can't down load 6.0  just 6.0.1 says file not found. i used the image and used SH . big long green lines for local miner were there was little green ones that are not there in 5.0 or lower, that warning hes talking about .

2411  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Minera v0.6.1] Your next mining dashboard - Networked/CPUminer/CGminer/BFGminer on: July 15, 2015, 03:08:10 PM

Can you post what replacement fans you used, the three on mine now are very load i want to replace them but not use what with .

My S5 has been running flawlessly for almost 4 months. I'd like thank the guys at Bitmain again for sending me a new miner ahead of schedule and not just stealing my money.

There's a special place in hell for the rest of you ASIC manufacturers...

That is a little harsh I'm guessing you have not bought a lot of miners.  There are some other good companies aswell.   They are not all scams.

But yes Bitmain is a good company, with a good track record on delivering machines (L1 was biggest mistake in my mind that they have on their record).

From what i read about the L1 that's was Zeus mostly that gfjgk over a lot including vendor and other miner maker. They had a so called chip that no script makers could top then for no real good reason other then maybe to scam a lot of buyers they pulled out and know were that read about it, does it, actually say for sure if that chip even is or was, i think bitmain panther ed  with them some on it, then got burned ( will never really know for sure unless some one from bitmain say so, ZEUS would just lie more ).

Bitmain made it all good on those L 1 sells.

Zeus miner imo ruined it all for a lot of the new Script miners due out they had a good thing going could have been the bitmain of Script miners,I'm being nice.

I found this: https://asictrade.com/miners-sha-256/bitcoin-asic-miner-antminer-s3-plus.html

Looks to be the S3++, first time I've ever seen one.

Thank you for sharing link!  That is first time I have finally seen the S3++.   It is great that  it shows it on sticker I was wondering about that.

It is amazing how well the big data centers did at keeping all of the S3++.   Just seems individual owners never see this model come up for sales.  I wish we had some numbers of how many of these are out there.

About three months back some one had a lot of the S1 to S3 upgrade kits for sell on ebay and a few of these, i think it was the same guy. They sold out fast even the upgrade kits went fast but not as fast as these did .I passed up buying one because I thought the upgrade kit was a deal it was + did not notice nor read about these on ebay it looked like a normal S3 sell to me and the kit was cheaper. Then some one in the S5 thread pointed out they were not the normal s3 buy then it was to late the price had gone up too all most 400 a pop and were all most sold out. i think at first sell i could have bought one for 200 it went up that fast till it was gone the kits did all most the exact same thing started at 80 bucks or so and went as high as 120 before they were gone.

I Wish had bought one or two of those off Ebay when i saw them the ++  i mean. Smiley .

[..]
Let's say that I did purchase one, however.  At the current network difficulty and BTC exchange rate, that S5 would expect to make ~$3.25 a day before power costs.  ROI would be ~123 days.  Using a very conservative network difficulty adjustment value of 2%, we're up to ~136 days.  That right there should have convinced me not to purchase one in the first place... and I assumed free power in my numbers.

That's lack of enterpreneurism...

Common business reaches ROI 2-3 years after initial investment.

We were (are?) seeing month-scale ROIs because of the highly speculative price of bitcoin.

If (when) bitcoin becomes more mainstream, expect ROI in a year or two... not less

Disagree, but only by time frame ROI will be 8 months not 12 to 24 for 8 cent power.

60, 90, 120 days for ROI is pretty much over.

I have higher power cost then many  So ROI will be a year for me.
When I buy I time for my winter power price  which is 10 cents net.

I  Like to mine from October  1 to March 31 then sell off the gear.

Aside for above.

Bitmaintech has not been the supervillian people make them out to be I know many people hate on them.

In fact I have decided to hold off on my s-5 is it working or dead thread.
I did one for the sp20 and that gear looks to be over 92% alive according to info on more then 300 pieces of gear.
I read this thread and I see a  lot of angry people. I do not want to open a thread on it works or it is dead and have to edit hundreds of complaints due to the hate against them.
I would like to do it with the s-5 maybe I will start it this week.

Ive hit RoI with all my S5 i bought in Jan this year. but back then i got them all for around the Xmass price and just got two more one didn't work but i was able to fix it and its still hashing a way at any speed i use in a safe range the other one was just a give me that was kind of a replacement for but it stopped a week after i got it but it was free so no complaints other then what bitmain did in price for parts , im over it now . no there not supervillian that's business and how it is.if they wanted to and could have from the start and still sold them but they looked out for us charge right off the bat 800 per miner . id look at it that way .

It's a pretty good indicator when Bitmain shuts of S5 sales. They are not going to build more knowing the S7 is imminent.

Maybe the email i got that said i should wait to buy a S5 hash board maybe they are were watching out for me i don't really have any thing against them. just got a little errts off how it was done.
2418  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 09, 2015, 01:07:38 PM
I see why now no more S5 for sell the buy button is grayed out i know I'm gonna wait now , screw trying to get the shipping dropped, just wait .

Same here currently "ANTMINER S5 BATCH 5" is greyed out on buy for me aswell.

Maybe they release the s6 Smiley

Shows that you can buy it again from store.

maybe they had to restock it .

it does say for this batch, maybe the site went down restock .

This is the last round of production for AntMiner S5, and Batch 5 will be the second-to-last batch of S5 units to be sold. if i understand that right a batch 6 then no more S5 ?.

I jumped the gun they pulled my chain with what they did.
