2401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 18, 2022, 10:53:02 PM
The Bivol - Canelo fight result is something we least expected and we could have it again in this fight, we considered the Bivol Canelo a mismatch but look what happened, Bivol teach Canelo a lesson in boxing, will we see the same scenario here can Romero come out a Bivol like performance I don't rule it out but his team should come out something new for Tank, they all know how Tank works, they should anticipate this.

I don't close the possibility that it would happen, but as we all know, Davis is not the kind of guy who just let his opponent get the best of him. After what happened to Canelo, I'm sure every champion out there is being cautious by training harder than usual to defend their title and give their fans the best version of themselves when they step in the ring. It was a big lesson for them and for the upcoming challenger as well to give the best that they can to become a champion.
I think this point is that upsets do happen in boxing and maybe Romero can do it for all we know. But yes, Davis and his team should know Romero because they work at the same gym and could have been sparring years ago so they know his power. And with that, they will be very careful and Davis would avoid that power and wouldn't underestimate him because he doesn't want to get upset and lose to someone like Romero's caliber.
2402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Bullish Trend Line? on: May 18, 2022, 03:17:00 PM
As I have said previously, this could be the capitulation if we reaches $20k at this down turn. Yeah, it will be hard and nasty for the majority and we really don't know if this will happen or not. So for now, we have somewhat in the $30k'ish again.  And maybe we won't see that day, but who knows, there are a lot of things happening globally that might affect the price negatively. But for now, if we goes above $30k, it is a good sign that the market selling pressure is over.

We don't really know anything, but that feels to me the more likely scenario than a recovery even to 40k, for the time being, anyway. Back below 30k on a weak rebound, I wouldn't say the pressure's over until we spend a few days at least above 30k. Weekend will be crucial to determine the outlook for the rest of the month but I wouldn't place my bets just yet.
We did manage to go above $30k several times, but it was not enough to break the bearish momentum, 4 hrs ago, the price is above $30k again, but suddenly it's $29,1xxx. So not sure what happen in between, or it is just the US market opens and then speculators started to sell again causing that sudden dip. And we are going to enter the weekends again wherein the trade volume is weak.
2403  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 18, 2022, 02:02:22 PM
^

The Celtics defense has top notch so far in this game, and they seem to have figured something out against Heat, unlike when the played Bucks they depended more on the ball from behind arc, however they've been going to the paint for most of their points so far. It's still a recoverable lead for the Celtics, but if they are able to continue with such an impressive defense in the 2nd half, then I'm afraid that they'll not lose this game.

Looks like my bet over 203.5 would hit, except there is an extremely low scoring 2nd half (below 88 points).
I took the opposite and took the under though, so unfortunately it was a L.

Never thought that it will be a high scoring game, me thinks that this will be a defensive game but maybe this is just game 1 so everyone just wanted to score specially Jimmy Butler.

Now it's GSW vs Dallas, haven't put any bet yet, but I might go with the Warriors -4.5 at 1.81.
2404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to detetct any scam projects? on: May 18, 2022, 01:15:36 PM
Can anyone explain how to analyze a project so that one can escape from getting scammed?
It's really hard to analyse in the beginning, nevertheless you may want to look at:

1. the people behind the project, do they have real names or maybe some of them have some shady past.
2. what the project can offer, maybe it is unique, then maybe they will want to succeed and not to scam
3. to good to be true promises
4. websites, it is done professionally? or it may seem that their website by put up by a 5 year old

That's just a few on top of my head right now.
2405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 18, 2022, 11:44:50 AM
Big 3rq quarter by the miami Heat, I can't believe they limited the Celtics by just 14 points while they scored 39 points. That was the turning point of the game, that big run made them win the game. But is the series over? not yet, it's still one game, and Smart and Horford were out in that game.
Definitely it's not over, just one game but the Heat shows a lot of heart in the 3rd while the Celtics has no responds. Butler again shows how good he is playing the leader role. He embraces it and then guard Tatum throughout.

So we will see how the Celtics is going to responds. Yeah, Smart and Horford were out of the game so that is a big plus for the Heat. So we will wait till the 2 played and then it's going to be a dog fight.
2406  Economy / Speculation / Re: A crash where Bitcoin wasn't responsible should be treated as such on: May 17, 2022, 10:54:28 PM
Most altcoins crash when bitcoin goes bearish so how can we describe that situation? Actually no coin cause other coin to fall it just caused due to the people's reaction towards one coin goes bearish they just pretend to be conservative and try to secure their asset value as much as they can.
Since Bitcoin is the basis of the market, altcoins follows that trend and yes that is the normal action of the investors and not the altcoins itself. Blame BTC, then what? It’s useless since BTC doesn’t control by anyone and of course many whales are behind this coin which can cost the big drop in the market. If the situation is bad, just stay focus and wait for the bottom price because that could be your best price to enter in the market.
BTC, NASDAQ also fell at the same time so there is a trend around the financial market. It just do happen the Luna suddenly goes down, creating a domino effect around the world.

Of course, every single coin is partnered with BTC so obviously they will also go down. And now that the drama of this shitcoin is over, BTC wil start it's recovery phase again in the coming months and we will forgot that this happen to us.
2407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 17, 2022, 11:40:40 AM
PJ Tucker, Danny Green, McGee are few of those lucky players,  Grin.

So let's see if Tucker can make it back to back with different teams, this will be a good accomplishment, but they have to go first with Celtics and then on the other brackets winner. I will go with the under on this first game, 203.5 at 1.93.
2408  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time for me to buy on: May 17, 2022, 08:23:15 AM
Currently bitcoin is still experiencing significant price decline pressure. If you look at the current price is in the $29k area. Then this is the right time for you to buy in the $29k area and wait for the price to bounce back from its support.
Yeah, anything bellow the big support is a good opportunity to buy. Actually it did further than $29k, so if others have chance and bought it then good for them.

We might have to actually wait again and see what will be the next floor price because for me it seems that we have reach it already. Maybe in the next 6 months, we might dip further to around and close to $20k, but we will see.
2409  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what's the ethereum killer ... on: May 17, 2022, 07:07:50 AM
No other blockchain can beat Ethereum because to date Ethereum is the largest smart contract platform. Ethereum is in a position of its own just like bitcoin. Over the last few years a number of smart contract-based blockchains like ADA, SOL, DOT, LUNA, and many more have tried to kill Ethereum but none have been able to kill or outperform Ethereum until now.
True, as much as they are touted to be the Ehtereum killer, those contract based blockchains can't touch Ethereum at the top.

It's the one and only go to Dapps by some project, but I will admit that they might he switching to other blockchains nevertheless majority are still running under Ethereum. And just like Bitcoin, I don't see anyone topping it in the next 5-10 years.
2410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: May 17, 2022, 06:05:32 AM
I like to see an early KO or upset by Donaire, but I think the chance of it happening is quite low.

Well, actually if you believe that Donaire will win in this match, that kind of scenario should happen in the fight. No way Donaire will win if the fight goes to the judges' scorecard, he won't last 12 rounds having the same power he has in the early round as Inoue is faster than him, so Donaire will be exhausted.
You can really see that Donaire gassed out on later rounds which it is really that too obvious that his stamina isnt really as good as inoue which is really that noticeable. If he works out on that one plus
having some changes on his counterpunching then i do really see that he had some chance on beating or pulling some upset with Inoue but of course this isnt something simple as it sounds
yet Inoue would really be trying out to enhance more on what he had lacked on that previous fight or encounter against Donaire. So both are really preparing to overcome their flaws.
They're both aware of their flaws and they surely would do something to strengthen that flaw that might be used against them. The preparation of these two will be heavier than what they've prepared in the past for their first match. We all want Donaire to set a KO so that his first lose would be covered up by his victory via KO. I hope that it's not just a wishful thinking that will never happen but it becomes a reality that has to happen unexpectedly.
And that's why Donaire really doesn't want the fight to last 12 rounds because he for sure he will gas out. And in his previous 2 fights, it didn't last long so we think that Donaire is really back in his old form. But also during his prime, he has some close 12 round wins. Not sure if you guys watch him fight Cesar Juarez because that's one of a fight for Donaire and he did survived the onslaught of the Mexican boxer. But still his gas think will be in question here.
2411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: May 17, 2022, 05:32:45 AM

Don't worry guys, this fight will really happen at high chance.

Errol Spence not concerned with Canelo, focused on Crawford fight

The fact that Spence is focused on Crawford, that's a good sign where in fact, he's not even interested before and Crawford is the one aggressively requesting for their match. We just have to wait for any information as that might be on work already but the public is not just aware.

Please take a read at the article, there's a good information there.

I am shaking my head. Was that news reporter a Mexican or a fan of Canelo? Why create this type of storyline for Errol Spence when it is very clear that fighting Canelo after losing to Bivol will not be as exciting as fighting the other king of welterweight and it will also not be a good business decision for Spence. I reckon Canelo should fight GGG and win it spectacularly first before he can look for bigger fights in other weight divisions again.
Probably, but this news was in the public weeks ago, after Spence won and before Canelo's lost to Bivol. But I totally forget it the offer came from Spence manager to fight Canelo at a catch weight or something. But yeah, this doesn't make sense though, we would rather see Spence fight Crawford first before other else so hopefully we will have some positive news about the a Spence vs Crawford unification.
2412  Economy / Speculation / Re: What was the most deceitful speculation you ever fell for on: May 16, 2022, 11:50:09 PM
I wouldn't say deception but people are shouting that $100k would be hit last year and most of us believed that will be the case.

Specially if we are going to look at the prediction modelling that started it all, and it seems we are on target after hitting all time high in November and it seems it will come true. However, we all know what happen next and now we understand again that bitcoin price prediction is very difficult.
2413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 16, 2022, 11:24:09 PM
After leaving incredible matchups behind in the conference semi-finals, we see these ones in the current stage:

Miami Heat - Boston Celtics
Golden State Warriors - Dallas Mavericks

I believe each one of them is going to be hell of a series. For the first one, I'm favouring Celtics to advance the NBA finals. After seeing how they believed and performed against Bucks, I also started to believe they can at least make it to the finals. And for the latter, I don't have any favourite for now. But if Mavericks play like this again then Warriors had better be ready for a huge challenge.
For sure both series will be very close and unpredictable. In the East it will be the top 2 seeds that will play. And it's really hard to say who will win because how good this teams are. They have both legitimate stars to carry the team. But I will have to disagree though, I will just based it on experience here. The Heat has the edge and so is the Warriors. We know Jimmy Butler fought hard against Lebron on the bubble. And the Warriors have been champions before.
2414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Western Conference Finals (Warriors vs Suns/Mavericks) on: May 16, 2022, 03:59:57 PM
Yeah, I don't think that the Warriors are going to make the same mistakes as the Suns did. They are not going to underestimate the Mavs here, on the contrary, they might have been drawing strategies on how to stop Luka and shut down the rest of the players. Strength of Warriors is their defense, so we will see how they will match up. But I do agree that they will be the favorite here, not seeing a game 7 though, maybe another game 6 series win for them.
2415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 14, 2022, 12:35:23 PM
What's your parlay bet on the upcoming do or die matches on Monday?

Suns & Bucks for me then Warriors vs Bucks in the NBA finals.  Wink

Now it gets confusing to pick who will be on the Finals.
Boston Celtics does surprising things and winning against the Bucks in their home proves that once again. It's not that the Bucks are lacking a defensive effort, it's there but Tatum is just better offensively just like how Giannis dominated them.

I will pass a parlay for team betting, I'd rather pick singles with good money on the line. Suns and Bucks too.
I agree, but I would go with the Celtics, I mean I'm with the bandwagon since they have defeated the Nets in the first round. So I wouldn't be surprised if they caught the Bucks in game 7 and defeated them with a huge lead.

As for the West, Suns still, love what has Luka did to Mavs this year, but I think it will be the Suns vs GSW for the West and then Heat vs Celtics, that's just my prediction.
2416  Economy / Speculation / Re: Panic People Are Selling BTC And Buying inflationary Fiat For Safety But They on: May 14, 2022, 12:12:38 PM
It's funny and sad to see all people panicking.
I think I would say that is normal, bitcoin investment involves a lot of emotion. So if you see that your portfolio is going down, you might think of selling it to stop the bleeding.

it Just Giving you a chance to Buy BTC Before it Goes to The Moon!

If you can see this in the long run you will be a winner. Of course

Just Don't Be haters.
Others might have experience it the hard way, specially if you have seen the bull and bear cycle in 2017-2021.For sure you know that it will take mental discipline to buy and hold for a long time before you sell it to make a good profit.
2417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 14, 2022, 07:27:40 AM
^^ True, main difference with Djokovic an others are his mental strength (Nadal and Roger has this one as well). So it's really hard to defeat a Djokovic who is focus to winning the game whatever it takes.

For FAA, great improvement from his game, but there is still some flaw and mistakes that he needs to be corrected. Of course this mental game comes with experience, so hopefully he will gain so much from playing against the best version of Djokovic.
2418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 14, 2022, 07:04:59 AM
The series is now finally over.

It was a very close game from 1st to 3rd quarter, but the Warriors knows how to win and they know how important the game is.
Klay Thompson came out huge tonight, he made 30 points and most of that points came from his efficient 3 point shooting, he was 8-14 (in 3 point area).

Klay is tough, the old Klay knows how to handle the business done and he showed it to us once again.
Game six "Klay" as what the commentators calls him, because historically he goes clutch on games 6 and produces 30 point game performance.

So it's over now, although the Memphis fought very hard and at times they make the game close, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson step up to sell the win for them. Now they will have to wait for either Suns or Dallas to meet in the finals.

And at the start of the year people are saying that Warriors will go the West finals if they are healthy because of the current lineup, a death squad, Curry, Thompson, Poole, Wiggins and Green. And that's what is happening now.
2419  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bearish market continues? on: May 13, 2022, 09:11:45 PM
Yeah many people got liquidated. Especially those who were holding Luna. You go to their Reddit you can see sad talks of losing everything and Suicide messages. And even those who held the stable coin UST.

The peg is getting closer to closing however many probably panicked and sold earlier at 50% loss because they were worried. This month will be a very volatile month for crypto and stocks .

Nobody knows when it will bottom out and make a new ATH.
It is very depressing that we keep seeing the same story happening over and over again, I hope no one takes the drastic decision to end their lives as even if their monetary losses were big at the end of the day is only money, if we work hard, save and invest in a good asset then people could always recover the money they have lost and earn even more than that, but if they end their lives then there is no way to recover from that, it is because of this that scammers really bother me, they may think they are only stealing money, but they steal the dreams, aspirations and sometimes even the lives of those from which they stole their money.
It just sad though to hear those horror stories about investors getting depressed and contemplating about suicide. I still remember the story of one boy who trade on Robinhood and then committed suicide later on when there is a glitch in the system resulting of money being lost on his end. So I do hope that we won't hear the same stories because of what happened to LUNA and it's stable coins holder. So all should learn from ours and others mistakes and move forward in our life.
2420  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson learnt from the crypto asset failure on: May 13, 2022, 08:07:31 PM
Unfortunately we have seen one of the biggest scam/failure of the project LUNA /UST where people have lost million/billions of dollars invested in them. We can't foresee such incidents but one thing is that if we follow the best practices of portfolio management, we could have minimize the loss.

No crypto assets in our portfolio should be that big, that in case of a mishap, our whole portfolio get a big hit. Also this means not to put all eggs in one basket in our crypto portfolio.
For altcoins yeah? it's not good to have your portfolio to the majority. But I would say that there is nothing wrong with going full BTC, it has been proven already as compare to those altcoins that has been what like 2 years in the market and investors think they are safe? So in the case of Luna, from billions worth to mere millions and then the biggest exchange halting it because it went down almost close to 0, what a failure.
