2481  Other / Off-topic / Re: Two years on Bitcointalk and success.......... on: May 30, 2021, 01:23:59 PM
Congratulations on the two year milestone, I’ve seen you around but never interacted with you. The community appreciates your efforts exposing the bad guys, please keep up the good work & here’s to many more years Smiley
2482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you get mad when the price of your cryptos go higher after you have sold on: May 30, 2021, 01:11:04 PM
Can’t really answer the question in the OP because I’ve mostly only been HODLING since 2014, i rarely sell. What I would suggest though is never sell everything, always HODL some. Also don’t convert anything to fiat unless it’s productive like money towards a home or paying off debt or something. Basically don’t sell your crypto to go partying.
2483  Other / Off-topic / Re: covid19 and buying miners on: May 28, 2021, 06:56:10 PM
is it safe to buy new secondhand miners cause i have serious health issues touching packages from dirty warehouses ?

You’ll be fine, there most likely won’t be any live traces of the virus on the product or packaging. Even if there is, providing you’re not really old with a pre existing health condition you will be fine.
2484  Other / Off-topic / Re: "25th James Bond" who's looking forward and love those classic movies on: May 28, 2021, 03:52:57 PM
Isn't the next "James" Bond going to be a black female, or will it be a transperson. I look forward to "it" saving the world by hitting the baddies with its handbag. Smiley

Damn I hope not. I’m sick of all this political correctness & desperation to please minority groups. James Bond is a British institution, it should be a crime to think of casting anything other than a middle aged white man.

Sorry not sorry.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you recommend staking? on: May 28, 2021, 03:41:51 PM
I was looking at staking my ethereum. The interest rate seems good and I found BlockFi.com which seems to be around 10% (not guaranteed rate though). Is there a risk of losing coins and is staking recommended? For Ethereum, which site pays the highest APR and is the most reliable/safest?

Thanks!

Lots of people will tell you that BlockFi is safe & your money is safe but it’s not 100% safe when you don’t control access to your own coins. If an outside source has any control over your money then there is a risk of a hack or a rogue employee theft etc. Don’t do it!
2486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost all my crypto gains this not fair! on: May 28, 2021, 03:38:08 PM
I had 3k on pancakeswap and did almost 4x now is return to break even.
I had Ethereum 4.7 now its 2k
I had ada $2 now is 1.5
Also I lost in ogn

I lost a lot of money on crypto more than 8000$

Is it recoverble this year?

You haven’t lost anything apart from unrealised fiat gains. Just have patience & HODL, you recover those unrealised losses. The market will recover, I am certain.
2487  Other / Off-topic / Re: Habits on: May 27, 2021, 08:44:16 PM
I started exercising a lot more & drinking more water when the corona virus restrictions have been in place. There was nothing to do so I just started walking about 6 miles every day, I have lost some weight doing this but it’s helped my anxiety a lot.
2488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoins to Buy During Dip on: May 27, 2021, 08:07:23 PM
So I own bitcoin, ethereum, and binance coin.  What are the best altcoins to invest in during this dip?   I'm considering ethereum, binance, and litecoin.

You can’t go wrong with those 3 but allow me to recommend Monero & XLM. They’re two coins I have a lot of time for, especially the former. FTX token is one to keep an eye on too.
2489  Other / Off-topic / Re: People of btctalk, what kind of pet do you have at home? on: May 27, 2021, 08:03:53 PM
I’ve got a dog, we rescued him from a dog home years ago. He’s 6 now & a very lovable boy. If you can adopt a dog I advise it, they need our help.
2490  Other / Off-topic / Re: Honoured to use bitcoin on: May 27, 2021, 07:33:14 PM
We should all feel honoured to be involved with bitcoin, some of us here much earlier than others. To even have 1BTC is something most people will never have. Everybody needs to stack sats, it’ll change your life.
2491  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I start betting on sports? on: May 27, 2021, 06:41:00 PM
I need to start making money. I go to school. I want to make money and go on a vacation trip with the class. Should I start betting on sports?

It’s up to you but don’t gamble with money you can’t afford to lose because the last thing you want is to end up broke, even poorer than you are at the moment.
2492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A vital question about doge coin on: May 27, 2021, 06:39:52 PM
Is it possible that in future doge coin Devs will finally add a utility to the project? I mean of Elon Musk really want to make something out of dogecoin lack of utility will draw it back I believe so is it too late to add utility to doge?

It’s a memecoin & literally nobody accepts it as a method of payment. Sure some people made a lot of money out of it but why has the price risen? Because Elon Musk enjoys trolling around with it. What happens when he gets bored & starts tweeting negatively about it. I’d avoid it because you’ll get rugged when you least expect it.
2493  Economy / Speculation / Re: where do you see your self before end of 2021. a crypto millionaire or a bloke on: May 26, 2021, 06:50:20 PM
I see myself as a crypto millionaire. I started the year as a crypto billionaire. Wink

Haha good one haha.
In all seriousness I see myself as wealthier than I currently am, by the end of 2021. That’s all I really want to say.
2494  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tesla stock continues bleeding, down 40% since January on: May 26, 2021, 06:29:57 PM
TESLA is a failure, the cars are shit. They’ve never made a profit, they just rely on government subsidiaries.
The way Musk has been behaving publicly with regards to crypto I hope TESLA goes bankrupt.
2495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Movie on: May 26, 2021, 06:07:29 PM
Seems cool, DOGE really has been on a rollercoaster hasn’t it. It came from nowhere, started as a joke & now has one of the richest men in its corner. I think the price could reach $100 eventually which would be something special.

I’m looking forward to seeing your movie.
2496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we live without btc? on: May 26, 2021, 05:57:42 PM
Of course we can live without bitcoin, it’s far from impossible to live without bitcoin. The question is if we want to live without bitcoin though & I certainly don’t. Bitcoin has made my life, I can’t thank Satoshi enough.
2497  Other / Off-topic / Re: Price of a bear on: May 24, 2021, 07:23:51 PM
Just curious. Has anybody eaten bear meat? Is it good?

Cool

I imagine it’s definitely edible, you’ll have to wait for somebody Chinese to drop by. They probably sell it on those crazy wet markets. I’d probably try it if it was on offer.
2498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will safeBTC and SafeMoon Pump to 50x in this year?????????????????????????????? on: May 24, 2021, 06:58:01 PM
If we get a crazy alt-season at the end of then year then those kind of gains are possible yes. It’s not a guarantee from it though, far from it so only invest what you can afford to lose.
2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!? on: May 23, 2021, 01:08:24 PM
No, never. Bitcoin leads the way always. Most people use alts just to increase their number of bitcoin. Look at the market now, bitcoin is down & alts are bleeding even worse. Alts are never going to replace bitcoin. All the retail DOGE investors are rekt, it’s teaching noobs a lesson.
2500  Other / Off-topic / Re: I hate small dogs. on: May 23, 2021, 12:56:30 PM
I think a dogs behaviour & temperament depends on how you look after them & how well trained they are. If they’re not calm & settled then it’s probably because they haven’t been trained properly. You need to do it when they’re young.
