1481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGECOIN AND ITS EFFECT ON SOCIAL MEDIA on: October 31, 2022, 09:30:54 PM
Almost everything Elon touches turns to gold eventually. I don’t think he will integrate DOGE into the payment system of Twitter though.

I half think Elon just enjoys mild trolling & the narcissistic traits he has make him continue pumping DOGE because the community treats him like a God. He loves the attention.
1482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Throwback: Bitcoin was $64k today, a year ago. on: October 28, 2022, 07:46:22 PM
Feels like a very long time ago the price was in the $60,000’s. It’s going to take 2 years or so but we will hit a new ath & go far higher than the current ath.

Only the strongest hands can handle the volatility of bitcoin & the long, bleak bear markets we have to endure.

Stay patient & stack sats.
1483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nfts are altcoins in pictures on: October 28, 2022, 05:30:55 PM
Nfts are altcoins in pictures format.
It obeys the rules of supply and demand.
NFTs seems more like Art.

NFT’s were 2021 bull run version of the ICO craze from 2017. They’re basically a massive scam/ponzi. Nobody can tell me that a JPEG image can be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. I don’t know if you can classify it as art, it’s a massive bubble though that’s not popped & will never recover.
1484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the US being too hard on crypto? on: October 28, 2022, 01:41:43 PM
I don’t think the US is being too hard on crypto. There are many altcoin projects & tokens that are scams, run by unscrupulous actors. I do however, think that the US is being too hard on bitcoin specifically. There should be a spot bitcoin ETF by now. It’s a real joke that the SEC refuse to grant us one, citing protecting investors as a reason to keep denying one.
1485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hidden Gems on: October 28, 2022, 01:34:33 PM
Diversification is good but please do your own research before taking advice from anybody on these forums. Lots of people will be shilling their bags so you need to do your own extensive research before investing, based on the advice of a stranger.

It’s a minefield out there, you need to be careful where you put your money.
1486  Other / Off-topic / Re: your favorite music on: October 28, 2022, 01:27:45 PM
I’m not a fan of modern music, they don’t make it like they used to. It’s all made on computers now, auto-tune etc, load of rubbish. I quite liked 90’s & early 00’s rap when I was a kid growing up, I don’t enjoy a lot of music to be honest.

Obviously I really appreciate artists who write their own music.
1487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They want your money by all means possible on: October 28, 2022, 12:35:41 PM
This is why you should never invest more than you can afford to lose in unknown, unproven alts/tokens.
You can make a lot of money getting in early on these type of projects but you’re just as, if not more likely to lose everything. I prefer to stick with more established coins but make sure to do as much research as you can before you go down this route.
1488  Other / Off-topic / Re: Missing grandma’s body found in monster python that swallowed her whole on: October 27, 2022, 10:05:46 PM
That’s insane, nature is damn impressive, look at the size of that thing. Their digestive systems are so interesting to study, literally swallowing their prey whole & slowly digesting them. The fact that they won’t need to eat for a long time after a meal that size is fascinating.

Obviously it’s a real tragedy & may she rest in peace. This is Mother Nature right there though, Grandma ended up lower down in the food chain than that hungry snake sadly.
1489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100X Altcoin for the next Bull run on: October 27, 2022, 07:53:10 PM
The next 100 x crypto vehicle for the next bull market probably isn’t even officially released yet. Bitcoin will go to $200,000 or something in 2025, ETH will hit something like $8,000. There will be devs working on random projects that will do really well. I don’t know what they are yet!
1490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don't get any reward from the Mt. Gox Rehabilitation Trustee letter 10/07/2022 on: October 27, 2022, 07:42:35 PM
It sucks but nobody is going to get the exact amount of bitcoin that they held on Gox reimbursed. At this stage after 9 years now, I am just glad to be getting something back. I feel for people who stored their entire stash on there. For me personally though, I am just looking forward to getting something back.

1491  Other / Off-topic / Re: You deserve to be happy on: October 27, 2022, 07:35:42 PM
Some good pieces of advice there OP. Times are hard at the moment so it’s nice to read positive & helpful posts from members here. I wouldn’t take advice from your namesake Liz Truss Wink
You give some nice advice though, good luck with everything you do.
1492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Among all which do you hold on: October 27, 2022, 07:26:32 PM
I am mostly invested in bitcoin, something like 90% of my net worth is in bitcoin. Amongst other much smaller allocations I have are ETH, SOL & some memecoins.

You can make much larger profits in alts but I consider them as much higher risk than bitcoin.
1493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you Consider the Price of Bitcoin to be More Important than its Purpose? on: October 27, 2022, 05:38:15 PM
Eventually, once mass adoption has been achieved then $ price isn’t as important. We have a long time until that happens though. For now, $ price per bitcoin is important to people. It’ll take a while until people can mentally accept things being priced in bitcoin rather than $.

1495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull started? on: October 27, 2022, 02:12:23 PM
Just a dead cat bounce in my opinion. Sadly we are still in a bear market & will be for the next 6-9 months if past performances are close to replicated. I still advise DCA purchases throughout this time though, we never know when the bottom is in. We are definitely not in a bull market yet, not until after the next halving.
1496  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's Discuss Referees In Football on: October 27, 2022, 08:58:38 AM
With VAR, the game is now more "fair" but it is too distracting. It's so annoying since it messes up the flow of the game, the concentration, and the emotion within the game. I'd rather see matches without VAR if they can't make it real-time enough. IMO the field referee doesn't have to see the display, he can just hear the advice of the "replay referee" and just act based on the suggestion. The decision is then final...

It’s so frustrating, especially when they get the wrong decision, even when they have the tech to eradicate human error.

What would be much better would be like in rugby, if the referee has a microphone so we can hear his duscussion with the video officials.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are privacy coins already dying on: October 25, 2022, 08:33:38 PM
Monero (XMR) was the real daddy. It still works exactly as intended but regulatory pressures on exchanges have killed any chances it ever had of really going to the moon.

Such a shame because that coin is so good. You can still use it successfully but it can’t grow as it should now.
1498  Other / Off-topic / Re: WhatsApp is down worldwide on: October 25, 2022, 07:45:58 PM
Further proof that centralized platforms are not good. There are many more better, more secure, better encrypted p2p chat platforms.

Whatsapp is in bed with the feds, don’t use it.
1499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Faketoshi: a Short Story on: October 25, 2022, 07:43:22 PM
Getting blocked by him on Twitter is a badge of honor. I am also blocked by Ayre which is also a thing to be happy about. These guys & their failing shitcoin will fade into obscurity soon, don’t worry.

The circus will soon be finished.
1500  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's Discuss Referees In Football on: October 24, 2022, 12:09:04 PM
Collina was great, the players respected him & would rarely argue his decisions too much. The standard of refereeing now is awful, especially in the PL. VAR has made it no better at all, arguably it’s made it worse because they have the tech now to do it right but still do it wrong.

Something needs to be done.
