1901  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keto Diet ? on: December 29, 2021, 12:07:15 AM
It seems way too hard, almost like a punishing diet, torture like. I think just eating better is more beneficial along with exercise. Eat meat & greens plus daily exercise will help you lose weight but be healthy too.
1902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is really controlling the Bitcoin market. on: December 27, 2021, 09:32:59 PM
Nobody controls the BTC market. Sure there are times when a whale or group of whales can move the market by dumping a load of coins or shorting in unison. A country can even ban bitcoin which, as we saw earlier in the year with China can be bad for the price.
Ultimately though nobody controls bitcoin, the market will always settle & a fair market price is found. We are seeing that at the moment, no FUD, no manipulation. The fair price of 1BTC seems to be around $50,000.
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Musk the boss behind SHIB? on: December 27, 2021, 09:23:01 PM
No he’s not, he just enjoys trolling & the fame behind singlehandedly pumping a shitcoin. He enjoys the publicity & attention it brings to him. Admittedly the guy is a genius & is one of the most iconic businessmen & great minds of history. He is a true narcissist though & pumping shitcoins is another little bit of attention for him.
1904  Other / Off-topic / Re: What awaits us in the future? on: December 27, 2021, 09:05:21 PM
Who knows what awaits us in the future. I could never have believed what has happened regarding the virus & restrictions worldwide if you told me it’d happen. Fiat currency is doomed, inflation is out of control. I predict a big financial crash in the coming years, a great depression if you like. Things will get bad for the average family, this is why we have BTC though.
1905  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your Christmas gift on: December 27, 2021, 08:21:47 PM
I got cash, alcohol, socks, some other clothes etc. The best part of Christmas is just spending time with family & friends, money can’t buy that.
1906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP for 2025 on: December 24, 2021, 07:13:15 PM
XRP will recover, 2025 is a year after the next bitcoin halving so I think maybe you could be looking at $5 or $6 per XRP, if bitcoin performs as will be predicted. It could be higher than $5 or $6 but I’d make that as a safe prediction imo.

NFA.
1907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest in a possible Bear market? on: December 24, 2021, 06:19:15 PM
In a bear market you can do a lot worse than to invest as much as you can afford into the top 10 or so coins. You need to be patient though, dollar cost average buying is a good plan. Wait a few years until the next bull market & then bang, guaranteed profits. We are not in a bear market yet so hold your fire.
1908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi wallet got activated today (Satoshi is back) on: December 24, 2021, 06:15:08 PM
Satoshi era because it’s 2011/12?
Come on, that means absolutely nothing. It’s just an early adopter moving coins, there are loads of 2011 guys still active on this very forum. Does that mean they’re Satoshi, of course it doesn’t.
Engage your brain OP.
1909  Other / Off-topic / Re: What Do you do in your free time? on: December 24, 2021, 05:48:54 PM
I watch a lot of sport, I don’t play much myself any more but I do like to watch a lot. One of my biggest hobbies although you could say past times is bitcoin. Without bitcoin I don't know where I’d be now, it’s such a big part of my life. I’m so happy I discovered it relatively early, it has changed my life.
1910  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hello Every one here on: December 24, 2021, 12:13:41 PM
Welcome to the forum guys, this is the best forum to learn about bitcoin. There are some very helpful people here. I’d advise you to read the whitepaper at bitcoin.org

Good luck.
1911  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good man/woman leaves an inheritance on: December 23, 2021, 10:10:00 PM
I will definitely leave substantial funds to my kid. He will have generational wealth, thanks to bitcoin. I agree that a good man/woman leaves what they can to their kids. Not everybody can afford to leave big money but you should go without nice things in life so that your kids can have a better life.
1912  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could time travel destroy bitcoin? on: December 23, 2021, 10:00:06 PM
Many things could be destroyed by time travel. I don’t want to know everything before it happens & I don’t want to change the past either. Luckily time travel isn’t a reality.
1913  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store your keys? on: December 23, 2021, 08:50:13 PM
Anything more than probably 5BTC is worse considerable effort to keep it secure as hell. You can split up your seed to different locations. You could engrave your seed on a bar of metal & bury it in concrete in your garage. You can get inventive, if you don’t want somebody to know you have something or find it then you will find a way to keep it secure.
1914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple makes a $1 price bull set for 2022 on: December 23, 2021, 08:23:55 PM
I have some XRP that I hodled for so many years, maybe stupidly. I’d love to see it reach new highs but it still, like many other alts relies on bitcoin to lead the way. We need to see where bitcoin goes before we can get excited again.
1915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk once again throwing shade at bitcoin on: December 23, 2021, 08:13:26 PM
He doesn’t affect the price now, if he ever did in the first place. When we dumped to below 30k in May was during the time Elon was being weird, trolling, tweeting about the energy mining uses. This period coincided with the time China was actively banning mining & bitcoin use. It’s a misconception that Elon send the price tumbling when it was far more likely to be China.
1916  Other / Off-topic / Re: Brand New member on: December 23, 2021, 08:06:48 PM
Hi dears, I'm here, just a moment ago joined, brand new member,  my badge ❤

Looks like this was your only post so far. Hopefully you come back & become more active. This place is daunting at first but it’s a great place to be to pick up knowledge on bitcoin. Most people are nice & trustworthy. Hope to see you soon.
1917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Supercycle or Halving cycle still? on: December 21, 2021, 09:24:04 PM
I think we’ll still see the usual significant price rise post halving for another 1 or 2 cycles (assuming this cycle & high at 69k is over).
Once each block rewards miners with less than 1BTC we might start to see a reduction in the effect that the diminishing supply has on bitcoin. I think another 8+ years before this happens. The halving in 2024 will still create a supply shock & bull run in 2025.
1918  Other / Off-topic / Re: CHRISTMAS WISH on: December 21, 2021, 08:35:43 PM
Simple, bitcoin to go to something outrageous like $10,000,000 per coin. That will give me everything I need, without the need for any more wishes Cheesy

1919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you see? on: December 20, 2021, 08:43:35 PM
I think crypto winter is already upon us, no matter how BTC proofs to be stronger it always goes lower since last month, it's getting more harder to retrace old ATH even while institutions are adopting the coin, I believe that massive sell off will happen soon which will unlock the door for the bears

We’ve been trending downwards for a while now, there doesn’t seem to be a willingness to get & stay above 50k. I do think we are at the start of a bear market yes. Whatever though, we all know this is what happens, bitcoin moves in cycles. Buy when everybody else panics & sell when everybody is greedy. We will see new highs agsin, just be patient.
1920  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where do you learn information about cryptocurrency? on: December 20, 2021, 08:02:48 PM
To be honest this forum is a good place for information. Different to an article here is you can ask a question, start a thread & helpful people will comment & try to help you. Alternatively you can use reddit r/bitcoin.
My starting point would be to read the whitepaper at bitcoin.org
