Family is one of the most important things anybody has in their life. You can have all the money & all the success possible but if you don’t have a family or at the least, a close group of friends then you will find it hard to live a happy life.
Treat your family well & protect them.

Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for August

I think a lower low will form before the end of 2022. We will trend mainly sideways for the first half of 2023 but start to slowly rise as the halving in April 2024 nears.

Bitcoin has longevity & proven to only go up over time (with volatility in between). ETH is OK but all the other shitcoins I do not trust at all. You can not be safe in centralised coins, they can rug you at any moment. Bitcoin is decentralised, nobody can take your bitcoin from you. Countries can ban it & or mining but so what, bitcoin can not be stopped. A new block is mined every 10 minutes & there's nothing anybody can do about it. Proof of work is the best.

The next bull run will probably start about 9 months are the next bitcoin block reward halving. Tye next one is estimated to be April 2024 so you are looking at early 2025 before there are any real fireworks. Alts tend to lag behind bitcoin’s lead so maybe a little longer. We are undoubtedly in a bear market now though so you have time to accumulate.

Early adopters who didn’t sell much too early are fiat rich. There are many early adopters who sold too early & will forever live in regret. I have seen loads of broke early adopters even on this forum.

Lots of people will give you crappy advice so I’ll just advise you that very few ‘active’ day traders make money. Most of them fail miserably. You need to buy bitcoin & hold for multiple years. Actively trading is recipe for disaster. Save regularly with your monthly income, buy bitcoin, don’t spend or sell it. Come back & thank me in 10 years.

Bitcoin is always my first choice, it’s the most reputable & highly adopted coin. Eth is a good coin too but I’m a little nervous about the merge. If you asked me one coin to have my whole net worth in though it’d definitely be bitcoin, all day every day.

Other / Off-topic / Re: Will banks inflate Bitcoin in the same way that they do fiat money?
|

One of Bitcoin's key advantages is that it is meant to be restricted to 21 million coins. As a result, it would be an excellent store of wealth and an inflation hedge.
But what stops banks from producing it out of thin air, just as they do with dollars and euros?
Let we look at it in monetary terms:
Joe, the entrepreneur, wants to start a business. He visits a bank and "takes out a loan." That is, the bank enters "Joe's balance is $100,000" into their computer. Joe then employs Sue. Sue works her tail off for one month and is "paid" $5,000. Joe instructs his bank to "pay" Sue $5,000.
As a result, the bank records it in their computer "Joe's account balance is 95,000 dollars. Sue's account balance is $5,000 ".
The tale would be the same if you changed "Dollar" to "Bitcoin" or "Purple Diamonds" or anything. The bank's computer is unconcerned with the number of Bitcoins or Purple Diamonds in circulation. It's simply a SQL database.
So, if Bitcoin becomes the new money, individuals will soon "possess" billions of them collectively, right?
Is there something I'm missing?
There is a cap of 21,000,000 bitcoin. There will never be any more, I suggest you read the bitcoin whitepaper. Bitcoin is decentralised, banks can’t do anything about the supply cap.

Thanks for sharing this very personal story. Your son is involved with bitcoin from his very first day This is the first time I’ve heard such a story, I’m sure in a few decades things like this will be more common. You may be the very first to pay for a service like this with bitcoin. Congratulations on the birth also.

Use an escort service if you’re after a girl for an evening. I’m not going to do the work for you though, get inventive & use a reputable search engine, it’s not hard my friend.
Be careful though, you get what you pay for.

You’re not the first & you won’t be the last weak hands in bitcoin, OP. I’ve seen so many sell like yourself when the going gets tough. Bitcoin always recovers though & goes on to reach new highs. I can advise you to hodl & not sell but it’s up to you.
We’re in a bear market but that should make you want to buy, not sell. This is when money is made, buy more, don’t sell.
