261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China & The Bitcoin on: January 17, 2020, 10:45:58 PM
Asians generally love the latest innovations and technologies. I believe that prior the restrictions placed on Bitcoin many of the Chinese citizens must have purchased lots of Bitcoin. While some might have sold theirs when the announcement are made, some of them might have still held on hoping for some kind of change of mind from their government.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here dream of achieving their financial goal in life through gambling? on: January 17, 2020, 09:32:47 PM
Thoughts like this can make a gambler addicted because profit in gambling is not 100% assured. You might play for two to three weeks at a stretch and win nothing or even penny. When you try to recover all the lose it will be too late. This is why it is not recommended.
Better to find an offline or online jobs that pays even penny than to depend on gambling to achieve your goals.
263  Economy / Economics / Re: Do Not Blame Bitcoin, No Government Want To Make Its Citizen Millionaire on: January 17, 2020, 08:47:55 PM
Bitcoin is not suppose to be a scheme of make money and become rich but there seems to be a degree of truth in what you said. Anyone who totally depends on their government will find it very difficult to survive nor make a standard living. Gone are those days where one will need to toll harder to make a living. The Internet is making things way easier than before.
Moreover, it's more like almost all the government dislike seeing people making a living through easy means. But still, Bitcoin is not "supposed" to make be rich.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social experiments in the world of gambling on: January 17, 2020, 05:47:23 PM
What help do you mean here? Giving some money or suggestion to him? If it is about the suggestion, I will always be ready to help anytime. But once helping a gambler with money, I am not really sure since it won't recover him from addiction, nor their loss. We may relieve his loss at that time but he will make another loss tomorrow. So, I think it is not an effective way or the right way to help him.
There is more sense in the point you made. An addicted gambler will always be one till they fully make up their mind to stop. Coupled will self will an dedication.
If one help them with money, there is higher chances they will go back especially when he got it easily. He or she will believe they will beg and the money will come. Later help them in solving their problem than giving them cash.
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: January 17, 2020, 11:15:18 AM
I use Bitcoin weekly and monthly but not daily. I use it for paying for goods and services online most especially anything that has to do with my site. This includes hosting, domain name purchase and other.
I have used it for services mostly between me and the receiver.
I guess those who use it for daily are those who receive payment for goods purchases.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 67,1% of micro businesses do not know what cryptocurrencies are. on: January 16, 2020, 11:56:08 PM
The remaining 32.9% who said they knew the concept of cryptocurrencies, were asked another question, in which they were asked, if they would be willing to accept cryptocurrencies as a method of payment? and the result was that 50.4% of respondents he said no .

Their answer is "no" untill people have a demand for paying with crypto
We don't have to wait till when there is a demand for that before using crypto as a payment method.
It's not like there is a general rules preventing it, its just lack of low adoption.
If we see crypto as money, it becomes so.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto? on: January 16, 2020, 10:26:52 PM
Most of the online crypto gambling sites are now being forced to collect user information and make users go through KYC due to regulation.

I haven't feel that, I have used a lot of crypto gambling sites until now and I have never receive a message from them asking to comply with the KYC requirement, I think this vary from country to country.
Same here too, I haven't experience that too. Though I feel maybe the this could be particularly on new gambling sites or when the user IP location are dictated to be from certain countries. Most especially countries where crypto gambling are prohibited. Though, on a general note sometimes collecting KYC on crypto gambling kinda makes no sense.
268  Economy / Economics / Re: 10M Bitcoins Haven’t Moved in More Than a Year, Highest Since 2017 on: January 16, 2020, 09:59:28 PM
It just kinda feel weird how people monitor others Bitcoin, especially for those who store their Bitcoin or locked it up for certain reasons. It makes it feel like Bitcoin is not secured anymore as someone somewhere is monitoring coins that are been locked away and suddenly sold.
I know its all about accountability but maybe we shouldn't be pointing the rise or dump of Bitcoin price on people who suddenly sell their Bitcoin after the long hold.
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hottest alts of 2020 on: January 16, 2020, 09:26:18 PM
Personally, I think that the most promising altcoins in 2020 are Ethereum, Litecoin. Since there are good forecasts for their growth. And in 2020 they will bring a very big result from investments.
Anyone investing in Ethereum in this year 2020 is on for a big waste. The coin has never done any significant changes since it emerge. Its more like it is stagnant without changes.
I still think Bitcoin should be the main focus but coins like Cardona, Ripple, Stellar and Tron could have good changes.
270  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Get Its First Price? on: January 16, 2020, 08:11:50 PM
I am guessing 'banned' or 'restriction' is what you meant. Bitcoin price increase may happen if the ban placed on it is removed though it can still reach 20k even if this ban is still there.
If there is more awareness on countries who don't know what cryptocurrency and Bitcoin is, then that price can be met and even cross it.
271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people debate so much about BTC value? on: January 16, 2020, 06:06:14 PM
It's simply because people won't be involved in anything that won't give them profits. Profit is just the main goal here, they just want to make money off it.
This also explains why ICOs came to be, à profit earning strategy.

Also, those who are holding Bitcoin can't keep having the fear that their income will suddenly go from being thousands to zero. As Bitcoin has not been officially recognised, they fear anything can happen.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's in the game, after all? on: January 16, 2020, 05:10:12 PM
In my opinion, gambling is one way to get away with boredom, it is like entertaining yourself and at the same time, you're getting monetary rewards if you're lucky. Every one of us look at gambling differently some gamble because of the reason that it can be a good way to earn big money right away but some gamble just to have fun and entertain themselves, regardless of how we look at it it should be done in moderation as to avoid unnecessary losses.
Gambling is aiming for money, we can play games for boredom or other activities that will not require money. But since we wanted while we're playing is that there is still money that may involve as earning so gambling happens. We just need only to know how to discipline ourselves when we're playing it.
Or else for personal choice. Whereby the person make up their mind not to fume or get discouraged nor frustrated when they lose in a game. One can make gambling all about the fun but I believe this will not be for too long. Most times in gambling we lose more than we gain, there is no way one will be deriving fun and amusement when they are losing.
273  Other / Off-topic / Re: your internet costs and income on: January 16, 2020, 02:54:06 PM
I don't see the need to calculate it though. Prior the emerge of Bitcoin or cryptocurrency internet need and  access has been one of the many daily needs of man. When you calculate food and shelter, Internet is the next thing to put into consideration.

Moreover, visiting exchanges and crypto related sites don't really consume much Internet traffic. Though, watching videos on it do.

Also, not every crypto investors do trade, some have normal day jobs. The point it, even if you don't have Internet access, there is one always ways to access free WiFi. Where this matters is if one live in one of the developing countries where Internet access is always costly.
274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: January 15, 2020, 11:54:59 PM
That's because humans are more profit oriented than purpose oriented. Many Bitcoin investors don't care about it been a payment system. Some don't even know that was the sole purpose.
Many got to know about Bitcoin from friends or family as some 'stock' or assets you buy hold for sometimes when the price increase, you sell to make money. If we keep going like this, I don't think high authorities will be serious about it. It's kinda Sad.
275  Economy / Speculation / Re: How is the situation with Iran affecting the price on: January 15, 2020, 11:27:57 PM
So what about the sudden price increase lately, what could have contributed to it? Could this be because of Rouhani recent threat to US and UK? I believe things are tensioning out lately yet price is increasing.
I personally still don't think the previous price increase was as a result of the imposed war. It could be normal market activities or some investors are using this means to signal more buy.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we overcome our gambling addiction! on: January 15, 2020, 10:59:36 PM
Self will and therapy is the ultimate way to go to overcome this addiction. For many people, the make a pledge to not going back but unfortunately ended up in it again. The truth is, gambling addiction is just like drug addiction but unfortunately it's can't be cured with medications. So, it's the thing of the mind. I once restricted myself to playing twice a week, then weekly. Now I am planning on going twice or thrice a month. Best decision ever.
277  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: January 15, 2020, 10:30:41 PM
I was promised like 250k by McAfee in BTC value.

When's the price gonna skyrocket like the last 8 times? Tell me plz time travelers.

Did you really believe this guy?
I think that those statements were just making a negative impact on Bitcoin rather than help it grow in value. Especially, when you read them from popular people it seems like they don't take cryptos serious.
It's not even about believing MacAfee or so, OP is also sounding like a joker. His words sounds like MacAfee specifically called him and promised him some Bitcoin money.
Nothing made MacAfee price prediction special from the usual prediction from other investors. The only difference was that he sworn with his penis. So why must you specifically believe his prediction other the the rest.
278  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold and blockchain Technology on: January 15, 2020, 06:28:40 PM
It is time to get the idea that gold will be integrated in some way to Blockchain technology, I like the idea, of course it is my particular way of thinking, in this article it is said that you can buy Gold through BitPay:BitPay Integration Lets Users Buy Gold With Cryptocurrency, currently after Conflict that occurred between the US and Iran has increased interest in acquiring both.

I think it is positive, the movement of money towards assets such as gold that are safe and towards Bitcoin, which in the view of many economists is not completely safe due to volatility, but that many people in the world are adopting as a refuge of value ignoring the advice of those economists.
In as much as we have and love to include Bitcoin or Blockchain in almost everything we do as modern technology. I still think most people will prefer to own Gold in it solid form. Though portability might another issue but offline Gold can't be replaced for an online one.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use betting tips? on: January 15, 2020, 11:47:27 AM
No I dont, i just do my own research and you know what, I am thinking that those tipsters are just using someone elses tips and ask for monthly fees for giving away tips. Actually if you just look at the odds that sports betting sites are giving away before the game starts, thats already something to guide you where to place your bet.
True, using and making ones personal research can pay off. However, I have come to realise that some gamblers aren't confident enough with their own tips. I have had a friend who had good tips/oods but wasn't confident about it, he paid a tipping agent who gave him some odds. He played it and loss while his was correct.
Most people who pay agents for tips believe these agents get it from some secret disclosed source. They don't know that once it saturate there will be lower chances of winning.
280  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you currently holding cryptocurrencies and now speculating what will happen? on: January 10, 2020, 10:42:06 PM
Your entire write-up seems a little bit confusing though. Anyways, most of the traders and investors who are speculating are either trading it or hodling. Its unfortunate, Bitcoin should be used as a payment method only but almost everyone wants to cash from it. Still not sure if this reduces it value. The long run will determine this.
Also, OP there are things you need to understand, some of the popular Western countries haven't made their official stand on Bitcoin like China did. So those who are using it in does countries are doing so out of choice.
