1141  Economy / Gambling / Re: What's your favorite poker site on: April 15, 2018, 09:53:49 PM
Normally, I don't tend to have a favorite, I love poker games and play it more, so I have most times played with Nitrogen, Bitcoin Poker and some other ones and this is because, I always like to try something new. If a poker site can provide me with good, fair games, anonymous identity, bitcoin transaction platform and something different from what the others are giving, then I don't mind playing there.
1142  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What will happen when facebook gets replaced by blockchain?? on: April 15, 2018, 07:57:53 PM
The project as you mentioned; Algebraix, is nothing compares to Facebook. Cause the project you mentioned is just for advertising, unlike Facebook which is a social platform coupled with other purpose. If Facebook is replaced by a blockchain technology or something similar to that exist, then it will be a good thing. Good ICOs can use them to advertise their projects and probably likes might earn one coins.
1143  Economy / Economics / Re: A coin with a floating supply. Is it possible? on: April 15, 2018, 05:52:51 PM
A floating supply of a cryptocurrency is possible, but it has many disadvantages and likewise some advantages also. If the coin has a steady supply; there is a tendency for the coin to be highly centralized and a huge part of the coin being held by the developers. There is also a possibility of the coins not being transparent and being easily manipulated by whale investors. The advantage there is a possible regulation and maybe a steady price.
1144  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to choose a good partner for your project? on: April 15, 2018, 07:20:18 AM
This is why I don't like partnership.

Sometimes your partner is forgetting that you two are partners, not one is a slave (low capital investor) and the other one is the boss (high capital investor). I gave up with one of my partnership as it seems the high capital investor is making himself as the boss and giving his ideas which are actually not good for the business.

The 1,2,3 list must be seen by those aspiring people who wants to start their own company/business ventures.
I understand your point,  but look around the world, every successful project is an hand work of a partnered team. No man is an island, you can't seem to do all the work yourself. Other peoples' ideas matters so much in a successful business because what you may think is right, another person may look at it in another perspective and see a possible short come. What you should look out for is a trustworthy, smart and hard-working partner.
1145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What makes a successful trader, not a gambler? on: April 14, 2018, 11:41:14 PM
Well, if you look at it from a different angle, they look alike. I tend to see traders, especially day traders as gamblers. But if you want to be an outstanding trader in the midst of those who jumps in to trade without caution,  then you should have standards and rules that guys you. Which are, You don't just rush in to sell whenever there is any little pump cause every pump may not last . You have to monitor the market to know when to sell or hold.
1146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin banned in social media? on: April 14, 2018, 10:30:22 PM
If the news is true, you can't blame to anyone. It's your fault.
What an awkward post, what do you mean its 'your fault' ? And moreover, It is true. Haven't you been reading the latest cryptocurrency news? Besides,  you don't  come here to point accessing fingers on anyone or else if you know the fakes developers who create fake ICOs to scam people off their money. You don't blame Facebook also for taking major actions like this, they are protecting their interest and that of their users.
1147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Adaption vs technology on: April 14, 2018, 09:59:28 PM
OP, your questions seem confusing cause there are two of them.  First, if you are saying that there are better cryptocurrency better than bitcoin because of their high technology and should be regarded as the best coin, I don't think that will be possible because the whole idea of digital currency started with bitcoin so it should be the  leading. And second; on if we value more technology than adaption. I think both should work in hand to achieve the best.
1148  Economy / Economics / Re: The EU wants transparency on Cryptocurrencies on: April 14, 2018, 08:53:16 PM
We needed them to regulate cryptocurrency not make it as something equivalent to a local currency. If they are talking  more about identity verification in exchange for traders, then, it's not a new thing cause we already have it. But for identity verification for every bitcoin or any cryptocurrency spent, then it's unacceptable. It's like wanting  to control every investor and how they spend their coins.
1149  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to choose a good partner for your project? on: April 14, 2018, 07:53:14 PM
I have always liked that idea of being a leader instead of a boss; I try to make some people understand this, but they think it means lowering your status as the head. Psychologically, a leader who is members of his or her team  shows that the leader is willing to learn. If you want a successful project as a leader, you need to level your standard to that of your workers and partner with them. Remember no idea is completely useless.
1150  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have a separate board for Altcoin Technical Support & Discussion ? on: April 14, 2018, 06:31:23 PM
I like the idea and I hope that Theymos would consider doing something about it. I know the forum main objective and discussion is about bitcoin but since altcoins are now becoming popular through ICOs (which bounty campaigns are popularly done here); though there are still trash coins but the good ones should be encouraged. It won't be a good thing if other cryptocurrency forums has it and we don't.
1151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are There Any Regulations for Bitcoin Casinos? on: April 14, 2018, 04:47:41 PM
I don't think there is but there is license, registering for every  casino owner. This license, registrations has also helped in cutting down fraud activities in the casino or the gambling industry.  But the problem that we might be facing is whether every casino owners are TRULY licensing their business as requested. I think it will be perfect if more regulations can be done in the casino business.
1152  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading bitcoin is for bots on: April 14, 2018, 03:20:03 PM
It's not a guarantee that the trading bot will make you rich or 'win you bacon a whole ' as you have stated or may have thought. If every trading bots can make you that rich, then, every bitcoin traders will be making theirs and becoming filthy rich!  Even having a trading bots will still require your manual functioning cause there are times  when there is a certain pump and you might not want to sell immediately but a few more.
1153  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does war affect the price of bitcoin? on: April 14, 2018, 12:30:52 PM
It's possible that war can affect the price of bitcoin. During wars, most governments or agencies, may use bitcoin as a payment method for paying for weapons like guns and missiles. And being that they don't want their monetary transaction process to be monitored they use cryptos to reduce traces. The government maybe frowning at bitcoin but don't be surprised that some of them  are among the big whales.
1154  Economy / Speculation / Re: Quote me on that - It has started. on: April 13, 2018, 03:39:31 PM
We need to reach 8k first to confirm the double bottom.

Last time it didnt reach 8k and we had a bull trap.

I agree with you. We shouldn't rush it and our expectations shouldn't be high either. Two weeks ago,  many of us here were expecting this exact figure,  but alas, the price shame them and went back to $6k. Something like that is likely to happen again. It's not like I'm saying it can't be possible,  but lets not over expect  things. Remember,  cryptos are unpredictable.
1155  Economy / Economics / Re: Is this the beginning of new crypto era? on: April 13, 2018, 02:23:11 PM
New era? Nah. I don't think so. Though, the hotel management and usage through blockchain technology is an awesome idea, but that's if the developers will be doing it without the trait of greedy urges. It's just hard to believe that lately, ICOs are being developed to solve problems. Money is now the main reason why ICOs are being created.  It's only a few developers that are truly dedicated, others aim are for popularity and fame.
1156  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Building mining farm in Canada. on: April 12, 2018, 09:36:56 PM
Its a good idea, you should consider working towards it sooner before the place is crowded because most bitcoin miners major problem is finding a place where electricity is cheaper. At least you can make your money before that happens.
And also, if you intend to mine as a long time business; you should make alternative provision for electricity using solar, you never can tell if the electricity charges might increase. And also provide cooling alternative too cause weather changes.
1157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: thinking quiting after lose on gambling. on: April 12, 2018, 07:51:46 PM
It is called expectations. We humans are triggered to expect for the best. Its a general thing for every gamblers and its all about hoping to win bigger. But the most important thing is that this particular behavior has the tendency of making a gambler become addicted easily if not cautioned. It is better you space your gambling days even if the urge of playing immediately keeps coming; just to prevent one becoming addictive.
1158  Other / Meta / Re: Finally! 101 merit and 84 activity!! Celebration Post! My thoughts on merit. on: April 12, 2018, 01:18:52 PM
Well, really good for you, probably other users can learn from you. Though, in as much as I don't really care about the whole merit thing that much, its still a good thing to see that the system is working genuinely.

As for looking for topics with few replies; its most times tough to see good posts let alone good ones that have 'few' replies cause most of the posts you see are repeated posts that have been replied to many times. I think one has to be online 24/7 to catch up with good post and I'm personally not good at keeping up with it.
1159  Economy / Economics / Re: Will regulating cryptomarkets increase or decrease trading volumes? on: April 11, 2018, 08:22:49 PM
It will definitely increase trading volumes. I believe most people whom have not invested in cryptocurrency are afraid to invest or trade into cryptocurrency because they believe that if they do, they might end up been scammed by some exchange owners or ICO developers. But with regulation, things might work out a better, cause ICO developers or exchange CEO will be held responsibe for any scam or hack.
1160  Economy / Speculation / Re: Short term investors dump market on: April 11, 2018, 11:11:43 AM
It's the the reason why the market keeps instability. Many people play in a short term. Do they wanna destroy everything by thinking just about short term income..
Its not specifically those that invested in the short term market are those crashing the price of bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency, anything can affect the market. The price correction, a FUD, or probably even dumps from some people panicking because of the reds. And moreover, bitcoin is known for it instability. Whenever the price goes down, use the opportunity to stock up.
