Ya, its all over the news. Google is finally following the footsteps of Facebook in banning cryptocurrency related ads and I think its some of the fake ICO developers that brought it upon themselves. I don't think it will be possible for bitcoin to work as an offline currency if that's what you mean. But if you mean online currency then I concur and I believe its still serving that purpose because many people are using it to make payments online. And bitcoin is not that a high risking investment compares to many upcoming ICOs that has an uncertain future; this is because Bitcoin future is certain.
