261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs the government on: October 01, 2023, 11:38:27 PM
Government always need control over the people. To some extent it is possible, and in the long run people move with the technology and enjoy the benefits. This is what happening with bitcoin and government. Most of the countries have begun to regulate the usage of bitcoin and more centralized exchanges have begun to operate around the world. However the trustworthiness of these exchanges can't be relied much, as they're something similar to the government. For some reason there is no other go than making use of these exchanges.

We need to go with the reality. As time passes, things change and one such is happening with bitcoin. Governments keep on coming with new ways to have control over the funds. In such act, many governments have launched their own CBDC. There is not much popularity with the CBDC.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Violence and anger could be a sign of gambling addiction in youths on: October 01, 2023, 11:14:43 PM
Anger is part of emotion. Everything have got a reason. We can't conclude that it had happened out of gambling. People are expressive and there is always difference in it when one is happy and one is sad. If the same person had been lucky to win, surely the way of his approach would've been different. Every gambler used to be good and the goodness lies on ones win/loss.

As most users have mentioned, gambler could've got the anger by nature. It could've come out of him while experiencing a loss. People doesn't know the way to express it. Maybe if the loss experienced can be shared to someone else, surely he will be able to overcome the anger that exist upon his siblings.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 01, 2023, 10:57:32 PM
The match ended without any result. Netherlands is no way a team that can beat Australia in ODI contest. Netherlands have lost this game if its evaluated by DLS Method. There were only two Netherlands batsmen that were able to make it to double figures i.e. Colin Ackermann and Scott Edwards. From this performance it looks very clear that Netherlands is there to give 2 points to every team.
Netherlands are 84 runs in lost of 6 wickets in 14.2 Overs while chasing 167 runs in 23 overs. Mitchell Starc took a hat-trick against the Netherlands in the warm-up match. Netherlands very poor performance three bastmen gone for duck Max Dowd is out for duck, Wesley Barresi also score zero and Bas De Leede Score 0 at 1 ball. What a bowling performance by Australia especially Mitchell Starc picked up 3 wickets in just 3 over and Sean Abbott also bowling well picked up 1 wicket. Netherlands bastmen Colin Ackermann batting well score 31 runs unbeaten in 37 balls and Scott Edwards score 14 runs in just 10 balls.

Australia is strong posting to win this match but Rain intercepted and match was washed out. Three out of 5 warm-up matches so far have been interrupted by rain in ICC World Cup 2023. First Sirlinka and Afghanistan match called off due to Rain, India vs England and Australia vs Netherland are also washed out due to Rain. I though ICC should move the World Cup to the United Emirates because it is rainy season in India. Entire World Cup should be washed out due to rain wrong time chosen for World Cup in India. I think world cup will be scheduled in November or December month. But i hope Rain will not interpreted futher matches of World Cup in India.
If a full innings had been played, Australia would have almost certainly won. Because they have the best bowlers and they are also good at fielding. It can be said that Australia's position is after India in cricket in this time especially in terms of performance. However, Australia is currently ranked 3rd. Although Pakistan is leading in terms of points but there are many criticisms in the cricket circles about how far they can ahead in this World Cup, their consistency is questionable.
Netherlands in 14th place in ranking who had almost a 99 percent chance of losing against Australia. The Australian team will get another chance against Pakistan on October 3. Hopefully they will be able to get an early idea of the team's performance before the World Cup.

Australia's performance against Netherlands was not satisfactory. Australia is a very strong team. And this time they will fight to become world champions. The team is in good form. Australia has given descent target of 167. But I am not satisfied with Australia's performance as Australia lost 7 wickets after batting only 23 overs. Netherlands bowlers are not experienced. How will Australia counter the bowlers of Pakistan and India if they bat so badly against the Netherlands? I have a lot of doubts whether Australia will be able to perform well in this World Cup. Australia's performance is erratic. If the performance is not consistent, it is almost impossible to become champions.
Australia scoring just 166 runs and losing 7 wickets is the reason why majority say that the performance from Australia team is not satisfactory. Maybe this is true on different stats, according to me they've done well according to the situation. If it is a T20 match, then we could say they're not doing well. Here it is an ODI and the overs have been reduced due to rain interruption. The calculations were completely different, even in this situation they had scored at a runrate around 7.2 per over. This is good enough for a team. I don't say Netherlands is bad, they have improved much and I expect consistency with them in their upcoming matches. Only then the real ability could be understood. Anyhow the rain is going to be a big problem throughout the ODI World Cup.

Quarter fial time over at the Beijing Open

Humbert v Medvedev - On paper Medvedev should win this but Humbert has already
beaten Rublev!

Zverev v Jarry - This should be Zverev's match to go to the Semi final

Alcaraz v Ruud - Alcaraz to win this one, he is on a mission now for points to get back
the number 1 spot from Djokovic

Dimitrov v Sinner - I hope Sinner wins this, could be a tricky one.
Hubert had beaten Rublev and on that we can't get into the conclusion. Medvedev is a player who used to give surprising performances. Lets see if this is going to be one such match or disappointment. Hubert is really good and his recent match participation gives clear picture on how he had played against the top list players. Almost every match had got the result through the tie breaker. In the next match, Zverev is undoubtedly the favourite. Alcaraz is historic and this is going to be one such match getting added to his list. Dimitrov's last meet with Jannik Sinner happened in the Miami Masters and it was a win for Sinner and it was an easy win. If this could change this time??
265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be accepted as a dominant currency in the future? on: October 01, 2023, 01:33:14 AM
Already we've got a traditional payment system that is being followed universally. Apart from that every country have got its financial policies and process which is under the control of the government. Bitcoin by development is termed as an alternate to the present day's payment system. The traditional system doesn't give the fulfillment as our funds were under the control of third party who make big money out of it.

Slowly the acceptance level of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have increased around the world. Particularly on small stores and for services. If we calculate the active list of these stores and service providers, it would be very low compared to the fiat usage. Bitcoin to be the dominant currency could be possible, if every country prefer it legal and allow its usage. More important thing is the people's mentality change, for now it is preferred much as an investment than currency. This needs to change and based on the growth taking place with bitcoin it is really hard to be seen with common people.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Women's Cricket Prediction & Discussion - T20 & ODI on: September 29, 2023, 11:59:36 PM

This time South Africa Women team had played really well and won the match in the 46th over. Just 3 wickets lost and 28 balls remaining to reach 253 runs is a big win. With this win South Africa Women team have won the series 2-0.

The winning credit goes to the opener Laura Wolvaardt who scored 124* runs and on the crease. Sune Luus (53) and Marizanne Kapp (45*) contributed and built partnership when two consecutive wickets fell for the bowling of Lea Tahuhu. In both the matches won South Africa Women team have won the toss and decided to bowl. New Zealand women team had played well, and they weren't able to win the match. Atleast a win in the last match is needed for New Zealand Women.

The New Zealand woman team had stuggle to score the 253 runs by losing al the wicket in the hand. The South African woman team had made the miracle today. The New Zealand had lost all the ten wickets to score this run.But the South Africa woaman had crossed the score with the loss of only 3 wickets.
It was an easy winning match for South Africa Women team. It all came through the good opening. Failing at the start of the match could've troubled the players. If wickets have started to fall surely the required runrate won't be reached as the players will try to stand wicket. This could be troublesome at the end overs. South Africa Women team managed everything in a perfect way.

New Zealand players also scored good runs. I would like to specify Tahuhu who took two wickets also scored 23* runs batting at the tail end. Amelia Kerr scored 80 runs, Maddy Green scored 43 runs Hannah Rove scored 40 runs. This isn't bad, but more runs necessary looking at the form of South Africa Women team who had been good in chasing targets.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I smell fear... on: September 29, 2023, 11:11:14 PM
Based on the way Kiyosaki had conveyed the message, it looks like he had given broader briefing about bitcoin and CBDC in a single sentence. People are well aware of CBDC and cryptocurrency. People being fearful is common, because when something is unregulated and governments are against it. Using it longer gives them better understanding and move with the reality. CBDC being regulated and it is the same fiat over a centralised blockchain. This isn't gonna make any changes. Many countries have launched their CBDC and there is no big success as they've predicted.

If there is increase in the usage of these CBDC then there is chance for little fear. Because the governments will try to keep their things at the lead. For the same there can be situations with stricter regulations on cryptocurrency usage. However people who had used to cryptocurrency will never leave the market for such acts from the government. For the same people look for the loop holes to bypass and use it.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: September 29, 2023, 10:54:14 PM
Barcelona vs Sevilla
   1           -       0
After their long struggle, Barcelona finally got 1 goal because of Ramos' OG. This is a lucky break. because the match went pretty tough. Sevilla also played quite well, but unfortunately they made a fatal mistake which resulted in defeat.
That's football for you: one team will make a mistake, leading to an unexpected victory by another. Sergio Ramos made a mistake by scoring an own goal, but Barcelona was still able to earn three points even at that and was on top of the LaLiga table. Barcelona has gone unbeaten in each of their last eight games. My take is that Barcelona should enhance their performance more before their upcoming Champions League match against Porto. The match will take place at Porto's stadium on October 4.
Single error and the whole effort of the team went in vain. This happens often with football and in some matches this doesn't looks like a big thing as there'll be other goals that keeps the team on the lead or levelled. Here it is the only goal in the entire match and served as the deciding one. Barcelona wasn't bad, but the expectation over the team is high which looks as a disappointment. Against Porto the match gonna take place within few days and I believe it would be easy winning for Barcelona. In today's match Porto have lost against Benfica.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which games offer the best chance of a big win? on: September 29, 2023, 10:42:27 PM
Every game have got the big winning probability, whereas it is the luck that decides whether this is going to be a big winning one or not. However I've seen slots having the higher chance of big wins. Based on what I've seen on the platform I use, quite often it is possible to see Gates of Olympus popping with big wins for different players. I'm not sure how bad the players had lost earlier, but it gives me an overview that Gates of Olympus could give better better win.

When we talk of sports betting, parlay seems to be better way to win big. The risk compared to the casino games were low as the prediction can be made based on the understanding we've got with particular games. Also here we doesn't need to risk big money, few dollars could win thousands of dollars based on the way you've made the prediction and the coincidence happening with the match on real-time.

Quarterfinals of Toray Pacific WTA in Tokyo look promising:

Swiatek v V.Kudermetova

Pavlyuchenkova v Alexandrova

Garcia v Sakkari

Kasatkina v Pegula

All matches definitely have a three set potential. Pavlyuchenkova is on fire atm, she could cause some serious problems for the fellow Russian. Garcia v Sakkari I guess no comments are necessary, both players are of a very high level. Kasatkina has also been playing very good lately, normally I'd say Pegula but this time it's unclear with the American being tired after a very intensive and successful season and the Russian has chances with her exhausting defensive play.
Yes, matches have come in a better way. Swiatek vs Kudermertova seems like a winning one for Swiatek in the third set. In all the recent semifinal matches Swiatek have lost playing three sets and this time she might be performing better to stand a chance for the title.

In the other match Alexandova seems to be the favourite. Pegula and Kasatkina we can't be sure of the outcome. However to me Pegula looks like the favourite to win. Sakkari vs Garcia gonna be a favourable match for Sakkari as both had met in the previous Abierto de Guabdalajara Open semi final and Sakkari won it in a much easier way 6-3 6-0.

Swiatek was able to win this match against Kudermertova. A great win for her in the quarter-final. I didn't say that it was easy for her to win. Her opponent did show a good amount of resilience in this match.
Swiatek was unable to win the match against Kudermertova. The match was was won by Kudermertova 6-2 2-6 6-4. In her recent matches Swiatek used to fight and loss the match in Semifinals and quarter finals. Same thing had happened in the Japan Open.

Alexandrova lost the match pretty convincingly against her opponent. She was unable to even win one set in that match. She lost two sets back to back.

Sakkari was able to win easily against Garcia. Took two seats back to back. she is going to face Pegula in the next match which is the semi-final of the Japan open.
It was great that Pavlyuchenkova won the match against Alexandrova in direct sets. First set seems to be an easy win, and in the second set points have gone closer and finally won 7-5. Both the semi-final match going to be tough as every player are after their best performance in previous tournaments. Particularly I believe Sakkari will lift the trophy.

Australia winning by 66 runs a convincing victory in the third Odi against India. Given their past two series defeats, the Australia team recovery was impressive. They scored a respectable total of 352/7 in 50 overs, with M. Marsh scoring the most runs with 96. India performance in the match was poor as both their batting and bowling faltered. R. Sharma led India in scoring with 81 runs, while the middle and lower orders struggled the reason of loss of India. Ashton Agar, an all-rounder for Australia has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI World Cup. I think it is a significant setback for Australia.

Ashton Agar is not a regular member of the Australian team and he has limited experience of playing in Indian conditions. So I am not sure whether his absence will have a major impact. But the fact that Australia were able to secure a large win against India, that too while playing against them at their home turf should be a big morale booster. I am more concerned with Indian bowling, as some of the pacers were just too expensive. Jasprit Bumrah went for 8.1 runs per over, while Mohammed Siraj had economy rate of 7.55.
Marnus Labuschagne has been called up to the Australia ODI World Cup squad, replacing the injured Ashton Agar. Marnus Labuschagne is Class batesmann replacing class spin Ashton Agar. I Think its a big loss for Australia. Beacuse It's hard Australia to win in chennai now for Australia. Especially when India are going to play spin trio to decimate your batters. But i would never write aussies in world Cup. Let see how they gonna handle it. After this win Australia bowlers and batters confidence will boost and they will enter in world cup for winning.

No doubt in his performance. Best out of Labuschagne is taking responsibility and playing when there is continuous fall of wickets. In many matches he had contributed good and saved the team from losing the matches. When it comes to spin bowling we can't be sure that India will dominate and Australia will be down. Aston Agar is a good bowler. Look at the previous match kuldeep Yadav had the economy of 8 rpo. At times spinners used to be dominant and I'm sure weather conditions were gonna be a big trouble throughout the tournament.
272  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: September 28, 2023, 11:58:59 PM
Unnecessary spending has become a bad habit in our community. People want to show off how rich they are. They think this shows their capability and ability to do whatever they want, but they end up in debt and broke. If your monthly expense is $40,000, then you need to have sources that can bear this consumption rate. People wanted to spend money on fancy things until their pockets were empty.

It almost depends on person affordability as poor people will never choose to buy branded clothes and shoes and they have faced problems therefore they never buy unnecessary things which just cause money wasting.

Whereas those who have lots of money will show themselves wealthy and they thing that there is difference of only branded clothes and shoes between wealthy and poor people which is not true because there are lots of wealthy individuals who use their money with planning and never waste any amount in those materials which they don't need.

We should reduce our expenses because if wo don't eliminate the Babbitt of using money more than our earning then one day we will have no money and will be in search of opportunity to at least earn to cover food expenses.

Then you won't believe me if I say poor people do the stupidest thing when they get some extra money. Do you ever think of why poor people remain poor when rich people increase their wealth every second?

When poor people got some fortune and some extra cash they got it hand they tried to fulfill their desire. Some wanted to go to a fancy restaurant, purchasing something that is liability, buy some new clothes, decorate their home etc. None of this can generate money for them when that money can be invested in some assets. Rich people buy assets and let those assets pay for their desires.

This is not because poor people do not want to increase their income. Their lack of knowledge and fear of investment made them do these things.
Poor people lack knowledge on investment and they were agonizing to have something which they've never experienced in life. This is why they just spend here and there and end up with nothing left. Through education this can be easily solved.

Another thing when we talk of poor people, there are people who aren't able to feed themselves for three times a day. With them how to suggest investment. What is more important itself isn't available and in that situation talking of next level of living is really unfair.

First of all savings needs to be encouraged. The education need to be provided on investment and other ways of making the savings better. This is how we can help with betterment of the poor people. Not everyone were able to follow it which is the hard reality.
273  Economy / Economics / Re: Is academic pursues enough to get incomes? on: September 28, 2023, 12:43:20 AM
Having good education means you're on the right track towards a better life. What gets valued is the skills, which means all the degrees you hold are mere qualification. Your skills are valued when you get into an organisation. Next thing important is being passionate about what you do. Even if you get into something by situation, over time try to love it. Automatically you can experience the best out of it. It is true there is lack of opportunities, and through education we should be able to prepare ourselves to find/create opportunity.

In simple words there is mutual need of education followed by skills, failure to have one of this will surely affect at some part of professional life.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the wildest thing you've ever bet on and won? on: September 27, 2023, 11:38:53 PM
I remember a bet placed during a gathering. It looks silly, but it always stands in my mind. The bet was to eat rice cake, how much you can eat is the question. Just for fun I said I can eat what you say and the bet amount is mere $2. The number of cup cake to be eaten was 25 and suddenly I agreed and on that they increased it to 30, I said I'm ok with the number. Started a s I completed the task, and everyone were laughing as none expected it. Finally the bet amount isn't settled, but it was something fun and joyful moment.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 27, 2023, 11:31:39 PM
When it comes to sports betting, luck is all you need. If the prediction doesn't go with the reality the bet is gonna be a loss. This is it, but with casinos the scenario is different. The game is fast paced and we keep on wagering feeling ourselves lucky. Even if luck had favoured and you're unlucky, then the bet is gonna be a losing one. For this what can be done, we should have the luck and the same can be kept in favour with our emotional control.

Just an example to state the lack of emotional control. I've received 0.0026BTC payment last week and just started my wager on Dice with 0.0001BTC. To my luck I was able to make it to 0.0058BTC within a minute. How this wagering happened is unknown, because I just kept wagering above and below. Some point I should've stopped it, but went for the bet value increase and drained the balance. How it happened, because I don't have control over my wager. If not I could've stopped when I've turned on the profit.

Anyone using Stake from Germany?

At the registration page I get the message:
Aufgrund von Lizenzbeschränkungen ist der Zugang zu Stake von Ihrem aktuellen Standort aus eingeschränkt.

Can I circumvent this with a VPN without getting banned by Stake?
If you're from the restricted list of countries announced by Stake, then don't take the risk. You're free to request support from the team and they'll guide you through the proper channel. If your country isn't on the restricted list, then you can receive the mirror links available for different countries and enter the platform. This lets you have a better gambling experience than just getting yourself into the risk and further blaming the platform.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: September 27, 2023, 11:12:32 PM
So it is lot better than a coin flip or any other gambling tasks done.

It depends  whom you ask, actually.
There is a good reason why gamblers prefer to go with games which are fast-paced and quick to settle, like plinko, dices and even crash. Because most gamblers do not want to wait for days not even hours before getting a result on the wager, that is the biggest difference between one activity and the other one: the patience is supposed to be invested before getting results.

In terms of investment in general (not only gambling), it is obvious to anyone who has had a minimum time in the market, that the amount of time one is supposed to wait for results in inversely proportional to risk.

Quickest settlement, highest risk.
People never look upon the winning probability, but they want things to happen in the fast pace. If winning probability is much concerned the focus would be over sports betting. Here we need to have patience for hours to know the win/loss of the bet. Once a gambler had begun to experience the best of sports betting, automatically he'll switch from casino games to sports betting as the risk is low with better winning probability based on our knowledge related to the sports we've made the bet.

Shortest time to enjoy big winning seems to have the highest risk, whether it is gambling, investment, trading and with everything this is the reality. Here the luckiest will survive whereas the unluckiest will be suffering as the loss used to be big.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: September 27, 2023, 11:03:10 PM

comes to thinking about responsibility and wise decisions then women are really that mindful about that which it is really that totally different
in men that we dont really bother ourselves about responsibilities and priorities specially if we are in the middle of the session and this is why we do really
see men are more than rampant that women on these vicinities.
Why don't we just call it that men are risk taker and women are receptive and at that well always not be at pressure to take some level of risks and this have been why have really affected the number of women in active gambling,  just like I have mentioned in several of the comments we made earlier bit even at that level we still have some women in the industry that still represent a high ratio representing the women in gambling.

But more also we have to pay attention to what is most important which is taking risks and meeting up with demands.
Women taking risks were low when it comes to lucky things, whereas she enjoys more on the luck based success. Most of the risks preferred by Women were for survival and betterment of living. I don't know whether I'm right or wrong, but it is the attitude of Women to get into entertainment and fun once after making things comfortable for the family. This means when she finds herself independent financially and have got time to spend she finds way into gambling. Compared to the past things have changed and we aren't sure of the exact numbers. In western countries it had become common thing for women to reach a physical casino and spend. It takes time for the rest of the world to get used to it, as modernization is under control in some industry.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 26, 2023, 11:47:33 PM
England were going with 9 runs per over in 31st over before rain came for rescue of Ireland team. Salt scored 68 of just 21 balls while Ben Duckett scored 107 runs of just 78 balls. There is only one economical bowler from Ireland side, Craig Young with bowling figures 7-0-31-3 and other bowlers were smashed hard by English bowlers.
New Zealand won 3rd ODI against Bangladesh today and also won the ODI series. Bangladesh performance as usual was beyond average in this ODI series.

Irish bowling is becoming more and more shit with each passing day. Josh Little, despite his huge IPL deal is not performing well at international level. Craig Young has been somewhat consistent, but he is injury prone. The less talked about the other bowlers (Mark Adair, Curtis Campher, Barry McCarthy.etc), that better. It is not very surprising that they failed to qualify for the ODI World Cup this time. After receiving the full member status, their quality of play seems to have gone down drastically (both in terms of batting and bowling).
The bowling line-up is great, but the performance from them is not to the expectation. Particularly Josh Little had an economy of 13.80 rpo, Woerkam at 11.75 rpo, Adair at 9.60 rpo and McCarthy at 9.75 rpo. Craig Young is the one to have the economy of 4.43 rpo and took 3 wickets. Even in the previous match he had maintained economy of 5.43 rpo and took 2 wickets. Same as the lack of consistency with bowlers, it can be seen with the batsman. The team should prepare in such a way to share responsibility. If someone failed, following person need to stand wicket and contribute. Only then it is possible to progress than just playing.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 26, 2023, 11:17:59 PM
My bet will be on Sascha as someone who reaches the final for the first time is very unlikely to win in. Stats say so. Even Alcaraz and other star prospects can rarely win their first final at such level.

Zverev had a strong performance against Dimitrov. It is important for him to reach a final again. That only happened once before: At the tournament in Hamburg this year.

But Safiullin showed a great performance in every match. He did not lose a single set in the entire tournament.

I expect that it will not be a walk in the park for Zverev. But Zverevs experience should help him to walk off the court as a winner.

You were right there, that was a 3 set final with two tie breaks in the first two sets.
Zverev got the job done though.

62 - 77
77 - 65
6 - 3

Thats a second title this year for him, he is very slowly getting back to his former
performance levels. It has to be his mental state which has to be worked on, he
still has the skills though.

Earlier this year he won the German Open. The final match against Laslo Djere in the German Open isn't that competing. This time the match was a real fight as Safiullin won the first set through the tie breaker. Further the comeback in the second set winning the tie breaker isn't an easy thing and the third set looked like an easy winning one. The win against Dimitrov in the semi-final match and the experience had kept him on the higher side to progress well amidst the breath breaking performance from Safiullin who had played his first title match.
