Really depends on the market right now, all eyes are on BTC. Or should be on Bitcoin. Likely alts are completely REKT right now, if BTC goes up, alts will go down, if BTC goes down alts will go down aswell. If Bitcoin can set another bullrun in we will see another altrun aswell likely but I'm personally very bearish.

Hello Guys,
I am new here and to trading, i just like to get some suggestion on altcoins that might probably pump this 2018 and what is the reason behind that it pump.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thanks
Hard to tell, last year we had some interesting cases where certain altcoins pumped linked to the current theme such as ASIC mining and privacy. Just do your research into a coin and monthly average into something if you really believe in it.

Some really hyped coin, nonetheless I don't think its that great. Korean Ethereum is just a marketing scheme the big investors tell everyone to move the price.

bitcoin's value is based on its monetary properties and less on its technical qualities. as long as it functions as advertised then 'good enough' is a powerful incentive to keep refining it. it only has one job to do.
ethereum is of course huge too, but its fundamental value proposition is utility. it's effectively a software platform, not money.
since that's the case then is the case for it being usurped by something that does the job better higher than bitcoin?
if something that doesn't require learning a new language, is much more foolproof, that addresses scaling and blockchain bloat comes along with enough oomph does it have a shot at unseating ETH or is everyone now incentivised enough to make ethereum the one?
personally i don't think ethereum's future in fully in the bag and people are learning more and more every day. what do you think?
I think in both situations you have to regard Bitcoin and Ethereum as a network. The more people join Bitcoin, the more valueable the network is, the more people build on Ethereum, the more valueable Ethereum is. I wouldn't say Ethereum is too big to fail though, there are certainly alternatives that work really well/better in some aspects and since its all quite early we might see less companies join Ethereum in a few years and more companies use other blockchain platforms, as there are more companies coming out that connect existing infrastructure (blockchains) it wouldn't really matter to a company to use Ethereum or another blockchain as they can still communicate with their client thats on another blockchain. So we'll have to see. Ethereum has potential though to outgrow any other crypto including Bitcoin, but Bitcoin has relatively low competition as opposed to Ethereum. Most people see Litecoin for example as complimentary to Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash isn't taken very seriously (though I personally think we will see more of them). But with BaaS platforms we see clear competion.

Aslong as they open the pod-bay doors this time it can go far.

Nothing more to say.
This is not financial avice, but you will regret later if you.
Check them out, for the love of Lord
People realize a good deal only when it has already made a x 1000
The current price is pretty normal if you consider they have 1 billion tokens supply, I think there are much better choices if you want to get a good coin at a better price. 0.2$ with 1.000.000.000 Total supply it's a high price to me. really depends on the marketcap, giving cheap/expensive arguments based on supply and price soley is something no one can work with. Considering that IoTChain for example has a ~100 million marketcap there's room to grow, i'd say 100x is possible. Its not going to happen overnight though but it certainly is possible. Which would put the price at about 250$ or something? A high supply works better for IoT coins imo and IoTChain seems to think the same way as there will be a swap to a higher supply when mainnet launches. Just to clarify that means if I have 10 tokens worht 1$ then I will have for example 100 tokens worth 0.1$ at mainnet launch. So I still have 10$ just more coins.

Never seen a bounty campagne pay out in USD, some do use BTC or ETH but those are rare. Its also pretty unconvenient to pay out in USD when people are from all over the world.

Actually I haven't really thought about following someone on BTT. I think most of the people who give picks are on twitter anyway, I can recommend Korean Jew Trading. He seems to be quite on about his picks and predictions.

We are currently in the middle of a project for a new cryptocurrency based on POS using the scrypt algo. We are looking for someone that can fork an existing POS open source project and do a few changes. We also require a few wallets, and a block explorer. If you are interested in joining the team as our main blockchain developer let us know or if you are looking for payment post your price below and your contact details. Thanks.
You can also post your thread on this subforum dedicated to services: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0I think you will have better luck finding a dev there. And as far as prices go, I don't think they come cheap.

Varies a lot, no generalisation I can really make. Some are honest and kind, others are fucking nuts and some are crazy in a healthy way.

I mean the total cap of all crypto. Of course no one can know for sure, but it would be interesting to hear any ideas. Btw the global stock market is worth about 80 trillion
Hard to tell but I'd say we will see 5-10 trillion in the next 4-10 years.

Garliccoin??? Never heard about it, only mineable right now? Sometimes I envy the miners, cause I've seen some really good coins open up to miners first before anyone else. I know some miners made a lot of money mining LuxCoin which went like 40x.

Hm, saw someone mention this. I suppose its always worth looking into it. Thanks for reminding me!

I'm in IoTChain, holding for the longterm. I'm not sure and haven't really looked into the others though. But IoTChain sure is a good one and I think people are underestimating it for now, I see a lot of people saying INT is supposed to be better because of partnerships, but partnerships don't mean a whole lot unless you really know what the partnership is for and about, it can be something big and also something very insignificant. IoTChain does have good connections within the Chinese corporate world. We'll see what happens, its really early and I must admit that its still a high risk/high reward situation.

I like the idea of PinkDate I just don't really like the anonymous team though. I rather not take the risk of getting scammed, I don't know if it is or is not a scam but its not worth the risk. Maybe after the ICO.

Not that familiar with the projects but you should take a look at what they do, what further there's to be done about it. Check if they have active users/developers and so forth. Then judge for yourself if you think it is overvalued, undervalued or perhaps in a neutral position and make your investment decision based on that. If you think it can grow based on your research then yes, if you think it has reached a peak then its best to wait.
