1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: OKCASH making a huge come back now! on: October 18, 2017, 07:50:42 PM
It started slow, and now it can't be stopped, OKCASH is rising faster then a rocket!
Okay, did you mean about another ponzi or pyramid scheme such as bitconnect already gone to the moon. What the fuck in this day the scam coin just become a trend for everyone in this time.

People don't care they just want to gamble. They just want to see crazy returns. People are just buying to sell Unfortunately, cause I can imagine from a devs pov that he/she works really hard on something and it just becomes a cash cow being thrown around.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IGNIS will soon skyrocket to Jupiter? on: October 18, 2017, 05:22:44 PM
I would wait for the airdrop then sell next and buy ignis immediately after the airdrop block passes..

The problem is I can now buy 1 IGNIS for 1,05 NXT
at least until 21st Oct.
After that 1,45 NXT and next who knows...

Yeah but if you get IGNIS for free in aidrop, then selling 10-20% of NXT for IGNIS after that doesn't seem like a bad deal. You can also just wait for it to dip..
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IGNIS will soon skyrocket to Jupiter? on: October 18, 2017, 05:12:26 PM
Oh boi... I bouhght some IGNIS but what do I know? Just thought it had a cool name (yes I'm like that).
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Key points to consider before investing in ICO (share your experience) on: October 18, 2017, 05:07:25 PM
Key points to consider:

- In theory allot is possible, is it all talk or can it actually be practically implemented?
- How much hype is there? Big caps that get saturated also means high numbers of investors which can seriously tamper with any potential profits. Favorably you want hype in the
other direction. So not from investors saying how amazing and great everything is and how they're walking on rose peddles.
- Can the team handle what they vision?
- Is there actual demand? Social platforms, privacy idealism.. sure sounds great. But talking to the average individual telling them the USA spies on them. Google, Facebook, Twitter
make huge profits of them. THEY DONT CARE!!!!!! PEOPLE DON'T CARE! People are generally uncaring, they prefer convienence over rights.
- Are there partnerships?
- Should I not keep my money in bitcoin, can I really profit from this ICO when Bitcoin might aswell go up. Leaving you with less worth for your sats and possible further losses.
- Is it a long term hold? If it isn't a longterm hold; I'm always out!
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Value of Translating Whitepapers & websites for ICOs? on: October 18, 2017, 04:59:35 PM
You just have to look into what markets are the biggest when it comes to ICO's

Russian and Chinese are the big ones, but a good ICO will translate their whitepaper into many languages.

In regards to you getting money out of it, I would ask for ETH or Bitcoin instead of their currency.

Is Chinese still big after the governmental restriction of ICOs in China?

There are already enough solutions to bypass this.. so it might be.. but who knows? It's not like you can really measure it.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRB (Raiblock) future on: October 18, 2017, 04:54:31 PM
Can I ask on what you base those believes?
1047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: stratis potential disscussion on: October 18, 2017, 04:48:53 PM
Stratis has a full end to end product at the end of the year and will start onboarding companies they have been communicating with in 2018. This information can easily be found.

Not just to the moon, I'm going to walk it
1048  Economy / Economics / Re: FMI on: October 18, 2017, 03:58:47 PM
Its all in french...

But on bitcoin lasting, yeah its here to stay its not going away. It might have rough patches but its going to last.
1049  Economy / Economics / Re: $10MILLION per BTC on: October 18, 2017, 03:50:31 PM
It is difficult to achieve this. $ 10 million per BTC is not small and can never happen. A huge number that any currency can achieve. However, replacing fiat with bitcoin can happen in a few decades

Why? Just because you think it is an insane number? I think it is insane how much wealth Bill Gates has for example, doesn't mean its imposible. Stop letting your beliefs restrict you.
Bitcoin can do 1 billion per coin. Easy!

I don't get it, reading commnents here its all I think its crazy, its too good to be true. Well if you bought for a few dollars worth of bitcoin upon its release you were a millionare now.
You're breathing in an envoirment where coins can go 100-1000% in a day and you think BTC hitting over a million is to far fetched?
1050  Economy / Economics / Re: $10MILLION per BTC on: October 18, 2017, 03:43:30 PM
Easy, Bitcoin can do a 100 Million with Litecoin responsible for smaller transactions such as coffee.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / SEC harrasing exchanges and Goldman Sachs looking to invest in BTC on: October 17, 2017, 01:27:59 PM
SEC started harrasing exchanges like Bittrex and Bitfinex, meanwhile Goldmansachs is looking to start getting into cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin because of a high demand.

Coincidental? Smells like manipulation to me. What do you think?
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: FLIK 90% Burn? on: October 17, 2017, 12:56:53 PM
I'll miss out but I won't miss all.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: interest in bitcoin is increasing on: October 17, 2017, 10:22:56 AM
why they cant accept...they can start accepting bitcoins...is bitoin's value so much less in today's market??

It is highly volatile, reason why Amazon doesn't want to accept it yet.
1054  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange Bittrex began to block accounts!!! on: October 17, 2017, 10:20:31 AM
It's the SEC, they said they would be targeting exchanges to try crash bitcoin so it may never recover. They're also behind a few coins being delisted from Bittrex.
They're a bit butthurt because everything is decentralized and see exchanges as the only way to get control.
1055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: interest in bitcoin is increasing on: October 17, 2017, 09:59:18 AM
Well it sure must have been lucrative for most businesses that started early with bitcoin accepted payments. Their money has gone times 5 atleast if they holded.
Maybe Bitcoin will never be accepted at Amazon, maybe another coin will fill that role.

1058  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The gaps between languages on: October 16, 2017, 10:50:26 PM
And what gets lost between them?

If you read a translated book or subtitles you're not reading what the author wrote, it's the translator's effort. I know enough of a couple of languages to know that quite often what's being fed to you is radically different to the original work.

Similarly if you're some guy from Lesotho who only speaks your local dialect, how much of the world's knowledge is being denied to you by the lack of translation? What about your government as they're likely to be the one and only news source in that language? Surely objectivity and neutrality is almost non existent if someone's information sources are that limited. How much of his knowledge is being denied to anyone who doesn't speak what he does?

There must be mountains of information, art and learning that disappears between cultures because of this.

Is this an unpublicised cultural disaster or does the right info always find a way?

I think it is generally understood with academics. You're right though, massive amounts of information gets lost/misinterpreted.
Allot of information gets intentionally denied trough mistranslations, very common in medieval Europe where the Vatican and catholic church in general holds controll over its people's thoughts. Who knows how much that happens this day and age? Probably just as much.

I like the jewish tale of truth according to stories of creation.
Everything was created in truth and only truth really exists so for there to be a lie it has to be based on or contain some truth.
Based on this logic, ''the right info'' or truth will always find a way to surface.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russia starting ‘CryptoRuble’ !!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: October 16, 2017, 08:36:56 PM
I'm suspicious with cryptocurrencies issued by governmentals. I can imagine this will benefit Putin's inner circle allot.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Value of Translating Whitepapers & websites for ICOs? on: October 16, 2017, 08:20:35 PM
I have seen a few offers to Translate my whitepaper and website into other languages.  I am wondering if there are studies on what languages may be the most valuable based upon ICO participation worldwide?

I am sure there are a few languages that might make sense, although I am a little concerned here in the US that if there is an error in the translation or a claim that is accidentally introduced in a translation (unintentionally mainly due to idioms, etc) this could cause legal problems in the US.  Has anyone had experience in that area as well?

Don't expect any studies at all really. Most company's just allocate a certain amount of tokens for bounty's and if 2 people sign up they can be happy splitting it. if 20 people sign up then they split that.

Most company's also don't really care about how many languages get filled because they already have a pre-ordained amount of tokens ready for the specific bounty.
Any extra language just means more exposure, in terms of marketing it is worth it.
