261  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: July 08, 2023, 04:34:42 PM
Sorsis got in touch. He says that he will soon process my payment and, as far as I understood from the conversation, the site will also be active soon.

Quote
I am sorry for disappearing.
There was a major situation outside of my control and i had to leave but i am partially available now and will sort out your payment soon. You can be sure of that

I'm surprised by his reply. Does this mean that only one person is responsible for the operation of the casino and processing payments?

Although he claims that the issue arose beyond his control, it was still irresponsible and unprofessional not to provide any updates on its communication channels or social media. I think it is always better to inform the clientele about all major issues that may affect the smooth operation of their business.

They have established a good reputation for years so it's sad thing they will leave the business just like that. It's unfair to their gamblers who have invested a lot for them and who still have their funds on hold because of what happened. Things shouldn't be blamed in one person only but rather the whole casino for what is happening.

I really hope that they can still fix this issue and the pending payments but I think it would really take time for them to regain the trust of many users again. I know that unexpected occurrences could happen in a casino but they should be ready to handle each challenges if they don't want to throw everything that they have achieved and established.
262  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it nomal for BLACKJACK.FUN to investigate for more than 6 months?(resolved) on: July 08, 2023, 01:08:43 PM
pressure for what? If they have already provided a deadline (and much probably this was not only related to their service) it's just time to wait.
if for all the delays that we have with casino and gambling sites (even reputable) we start creating new topics here on the forum, it ends up that we do nothing but write "to put pressure".
You are making no sense here frankly speaking. Blackjack told op that the investigation could sometimes take more than 6 freaking months and you are saying that it's ok and he should have just waited.

They should have specified a more reasonable timeline(Like a week or 2 weeks) instead. Think!

If you have complied the proof and requirements needed to run the investigation, then the only thing that you can do is just to wait. They have already provided the investigation time frame so what you will do is just to be patient. However, if it took you already longer than six months, then you better reach out to the customer support to follow-up their investigation. As far as I know, Blackjack.fun has an active support that you could reach out to.
I know that waiting for more than six months isn't easy but we have to trust the process since Blackjack.fun is also a reputable site and they will not allow their reputation to be ruined for nothing.
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verified twitter, telegram account is the strong point for a new project? on: July 07, 2023, 07:36:12 PM
In fact Elon Musk has created such a bad service where the number of scams is increasing. But this is only done in exchange of money and if you want you can verify your account by spending money. Moreover we should research the actual structure of a project. The right project will always want to grab big investors and that's why they will want to promote it in many ways.

Twitter has been one of the platforms being used by scammers nowadays and that's what we should careful about. There are actually tons of scammers who has been buying verified accounts just so they can gain the trust of people easily.
We have to keep in mind that even if a social media account is verified, that doesn't mean that they could be trusted because scammers will do everything just to make their project look legit.
We still need to be careful because scammers might also be hiding in verified social media platforms bought from online market place. They can easily get verified by using their money for it so we should still do researches to get rid of scammers.
264  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: July 07, 2023, 07:12:32 PM
I agree with your statement that personal health and well-being is the first step before starting the investment journey. A healthy body and mind will also be healthy. Well, maybe this is useful too, I think. Regardless of the argument you conveyed above, a balanced approach is necessary for us to juxtapose food, health and financial needs simultaneously.
A healthy mind does exist in a healthy body, which is why overall body health is always needed before doing any work in this world. Investment is part of human work and it is done on the basis of the awareness of each individual so that things such as health, food and finances as a whole have to be considered before doing a job like investing.

Quote
Broadly speaking, investing is a step that contributes more or less to achieving a balance between the two. For investment options/options, the minimum requirements must be in accordance with each person's risk tolerance and financial ability, of course, which in the end can help achieve an optimal balance for the future of our family and children in the future.
It's just an attempt to find income so we can get a balance in life if it can be profitable enough with the investment we make. Because there are also investments that are not profitable even though those who make them hope to benefit, so investment choices should not be arbitrary if the goal is for the long term and balance in our lives.

Not all types of investment are actually profitable or could even assure us that we can get out of poverty through it. We aren't in the position of those who are starving and selling their assets because as humans, our first reaction when we're starving is to look for food and not for investment.
We usually do that to survive. Investment is necessary yet we can still survive without it though it is undeniable that we can have the financial freedom that we want if we have pick the right investment.
We aren't in the shoes of those who are trying to survive but I'm sure that if they're able, they will also focus on investing it's just that we all have different fates.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: July 07, 2023, 06:36:38 PM
You should study other people's experiences to get valuable lessons from them and not experience the same thing. And if you really can't make money gambling, you better not push yourself so it won't frustrate you.

Indeed, it would be better for us to seek various references from several people to be used as experience and reference material. There have been lots of people who have experienced downturns and bad luck in their lives because of the effects of gambling, but somehow there are still many people who do it. I realize that it is very difficult to get out of that zone and even if it can it will require quite a big struggle when someone has to fight the curiosity of their gambling addiction, and most of them cannot get past this. Be a healthy gambler, don't be too ambitious and don't ever assume that you will be able to get a lot of money just by gambling because this is really just luck that won't always come every time.

Everyone has their own choice and it will be up to them what they will choose. And you should always think about what might happen to you so that you can make decisions wisely and not take the wrong step. Apart from that, by controlling yourself while gambling, you can also control your emotions because when you lose, there is a possibility that your emotions will increase and that can make you use more money.

The fact is that to stop completely is very difficult and almost impossible, but if someone is serious in their intention, they can start by reducing the time for gambling, adding a lot of daily activities will be a great alternative because with a busy life someone will not have time to express his desire to gamble.

you can tell a person has sunken into his gambling vices if he has already done crimes like that grandpa who kidnapped a kid for ransom. it's probably not his first, he must have stolen lots before this like jewelry or so. it can be hard for this old dog to stop gambling as he is addicted. even in prison, he will still gamble that's for sure.

hard for someone to resist when he has money and can easily access a platform gamble. he doesn't just need community support but things to get busy about.

A gambling addict who wants to recover should also help himself get through it. It's a challenging thing especially if they aren't aware of the negative impact of the risks that they're taking or if they if it don't bother them anymore.
It requires willingness to change because if not, even with the help of professionals, they will not still recover from it.
A person who has commited crime just because of gambling are more likely to do worse because they will always find ways to make money for gambling. It will be hadd for them to resist if it's already been part of their system but if they want change, nothing is impossible, they only need to have the eagerness to be get through it.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 07, 2023, 06:00:04 PM
So it still depends on the country? because other countries allow 18 and above, but to others it is 21. Though it is really better to be  21 because we are mature enough at that time, this again depends on the law. Even though the risk is still present, meaning all of us can get addicted no matter what our age is, having this age limit is best because we know that those teens are very prone to addiction and easily get influenced by others.
more clearly if someone who starts gambling when they are over 18+ they have better self-control compared to minors who are very vulnerable to emotions that cannot be controlled, causing addiction. this age limit is actually not very successful in preventing minors but especially for online gambling but for physical gambling the age limit will really help minors avoid gambling.
because if in a physical casino when entering a gambling place you will always be asked for the identity of gambling security but for online casinos minors can use fake data to still be able to gamble.

Actually people that are 18 ain't mentally much different than 15 y.o. people. I know how dumb I was when I was 18 and I can tell there wasn't a great difference with my 15 years old self. So just because a person is over 18 doesn't mean he will make wise choices instantly.

Most people stay dumb till their 30's and some people stay dumb forever till they die.

On the other hand I've seen 15 y.o. kids that are way smarter than most adults. These kids were able to think and act like an adult. It is like they were living their 2nd or 3rd life... But let's be honest most people ain't like that.

I think age shouldn't only be the basis but rather the status of a person, financially and emotionally. We all know how challenging gambling is and we also know our capability before to handle things when we were 18. I don't think that age is already mature enough to deal with the challenges of gambling.
Decision making is quite hard to handle and it requires the right mindset to create a good one. A person should be mentally prepared before he enters gambling and must have a stable income. Because you can be mature at 18 but unstable so you might only be risking your parent's funds.
It's better to gamble when you already have your own source of income than when you're still relying on others. The ability to sustain gambling should be the basis and not just the age.
267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual bug? on: July 07, 2023, 05:32:56 PM
Isnt it just miles better to try betting on verifiable real matches. I can't comprehend advantage of virtual game betting honestly. I guess I didn't even exactly understand. If its just computer programme trying to act like football/soccer game there can be 5 goals from away team. Its rare but possible even in Real life. But if something like that happens in a minute - well its impossible. Most of the time couple of minutes already pass after a team scores a goal to continue.

You are absolutely right. It's always best to bet on matches happening in real life because those have lesser chance of being manipulated.
Betting on virtual games can be risky and should be avoided all time. We never know if the game is being manipulated or not.
The chances of losing our bets on such games are higher ofcourse.

Additionally, reallife matches provide an opportunity to analyze the teams' performance and make more informed decisions thus increasing our chances of success in betting.
So it's better to stick to the safer option and enjoy the thrill of real sports.

I certainly, agree. Been a fan of traditional virtual games but when I have switched to real life matches, I felt more comfortable and confident that it isn't easily be manipulated. Yes, there are also manipulated matches but that rarely happens.

However, we can't deny the fact that some errors and bugs couldn't be avoided sometimes and the most affected is the player because they could have their funds lost in just one bug, in case it happens, they should reach out to the team right away.

It could happen normally but if it happens more often, I think the problem would probably on the casino already.
268  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become a successful Bitcoin investor as a newbies? on: July 06, 2023, 08:17:59 PM
Any sane person who wants to increase his capital in one way or another will learn about all the intricacies of the business from which he wants to make a profit. But to be successful or not, I think it depends on the amount of funds that are to be contributed. If the amount to be inverted is too small, even in a good market, will the owner enjoy profiting from a few pennies? And then to say that he is successful, I think, is not entirely correct. At this time, a good amount is important, and usually, not beginners own it but people who are already successful in some other business. Therefore, all guides are useful, but it is hard to believe that by following them, a beginner will succeed.

There are lots of guides for crypto trading available but its hard to say which one will suit you since something that worked for me wont work for you and vice versa. If that's not the case then everyone would be a millionaire via copy trading. One thing all of us must adhere is that there is not shortcut to success or we cant be rich overnight. Being successful trader requires you to spend your time and effort in the market. Huge capital is only recommended if you have proper knowledge and skills to handle crypto volatility.

It's actually a long process of learning and if another person is successfully using his own strategy, it doesn't mean that we'll also succeed doing the same thing. It's a series of trial and error that we will be facing. We're actually lucky because there are already trusted resources where we could learn from nowadays.
Success doesn't happen in just a single click. We could still face lots of failures and might make wrong decisions and it will be a roller coaster like ride that we have to deal with. If we want success, then we have to be well determined to learn, risk and deal with the volatility of the market. We should also be ready emotionally, financially and physically and should also have the proper mindset for this.
269  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Internet Apocalypse, Handa kaba? on: July 06, 2023, 08:03:01 PM
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: July 06, 2023, 07:48:04 PM

It is true that sometimes we join certain promotions and many contests and bonuses, which sound and look so good that we do not bother to read the rules to take them, and that is when we give ourselves the first mental blow, because we can win everything we u want, but when we go to withdraw they will not let us due to the requirements, and yes, 10x for many may be somewhat reasonable, but for me in particular it is not, I think that at most it is 1x, but for the rest I think that more than there is much more, things in casinos can change, and there are people who if they take these challenges, and even win and fulfil everything, but I don't have the patience for it.

Those who get carried away with the quest to claim bonuses often time forget to read and noticed the conditions that accompany such bonuses and in most cases, those bonuses come with a lot of wager requirement that is almost impossible for the gambler to reach and if one wants to be free from being subject to such insane wager demand then we must avoid bonus claims that are too good as far as I know,  any bonus that needs a 5x wager requirement is already a bad option and at most 1 x should be considered ok at most.
It is also important to only claim the bonuses that naturally come to us, as there are some gamblers which on their pursuit to get all the bonuses they can end up using way more money than what they intended, and in that case they are just throwing away their money since they are not really enjoying their gambling time.

However we need to also be realistic on what we are expecting out of those bonuses, as in my experience there are not many bonuses out there which only require you a 1x wager.

        -  I won't deny that there are times when I can't read the terms of condition on their casino platform, to be honest, as long as I feel and see their rules and legal documents, I think it's okay.

But we should really take a look at them so that in the end we won't be embarrassed when we complain because maybe later it will be written in their tos or Toc that it's not allowed, so it will appear in the end that we will be embarrassed.

This has happened to me once when I was a beginner in gambling. A friend introduced a crypto casino site to me saying it has a good promotions and bonuses from free spins and free play. I was too excited since my friend has been earning a lot daily from it. I thought the same thing would happen to me until they have held my funds when I was about t withdraw my funds.
The support have told me that it is indicated in their terms of services that I should tripple my winnings from free spins before I was able to them which my friend isn't aware of as well.
That's when I realized that reading the Terms of services right from the beginning is too important so we'll never feel disappointed if they will require us an specific wagering percentage.
271  Economy / Gambling / Re: Challenge One Million Dice Bets with Profit every week. on: July 06, 2023, 07:33:39 PM
Again this mindless user is back with a nonsense topic to which I am replying. Please guys start avoiding any thread by this dumb and the dumbest user. I have never seen anyone so confusing and stupid with his ideas and chronic gambling syndrome. Either he has lost his mind or he is trying to be cool. I have questioned him in one of his thread and he tends to play a victim, whenever I questioned about the logic behind creating threads on the main board. He has rotten so deep with his loss that he doesn't have a sensible mind anymore. Stay away from his thread and his logic in the future.

To be honest, it is kind of sad that OP may be actually this much into gambling addiction that he does not realize that he is being irrational in front of others... Honestly, even though I do not know him, I hope he is either just shitposting or not actually this much addicted to wagering money.

Also, some moderator should lock this thread, because does not serve much of a purpose, beyond scolding OP and talking about the situation and desperation he could be feeling.  Sad

It really sound like Op has been experiencing a worse case of gambling addiction. It seems like his life is just revolving around gambling which is why despite having huge losses, he still can't leave it behind. Gambling is addictive and if it's been part of our routine, we couldn't have our urges controlled.
However, if we could notice that it's been affecting our lives negatively like what's happening to Op, we better seek professional help because if not, we will only be finding funds to gamble endlessly and the cycle of chasing our losses would only be kept repeatedly. You will only be a victim of your wrong decisions if you only fall deeply into gambling addiction without changing your mindset.
272  Economy / Gambling / Re: What other gambling sites offers free bitcoins like freebitco on: July 06, 2023, 06:56:49 AM
I agree with the general thrust of the responses. Faucets are a waste of time, the best being freebitco.in which is not bad for someone starting out, but better to think of other ways to get bitcoin while playing.

You missed a zero. It's $0.002 per hour so yeah it is a waste of time if your goal is to earn a meaningful income from the faucet alone.

Well, the hook of the faucet is that the maximum prize is $200 in bitcoin, but on average you will win it once in every 20,000 times, so you can go for years without winnin it.

It will take a long time for you to reach that target. Relying on faucets nowadays aren't a wise idea anymore especially if you will gamble the free couns that you'll be getting. If you have a larger target profit, then just look for other crypto opportunities where you can reach your target goal on the time frame that you have set.
Relying on faucets these days might only be a waste of time and you might just end up getting nothing. Faucets that we have these days are way different from the old faucets that we had. If your aim is to win in gambling then better set a target budget for it.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do 90% of Bettors Lose in Sports Betting in the Long-term? on: July 05, 2023, 09:13:43 PM
I think that 90% of gamblers lose sports bet because they don't know what they are doing.

Two easy examples= playing "long list of matches" in the same parlay // playing event with low odds "because they are easy"... and many many other situations.

@OP
I would add to your list for "maximizing chances of success" also playing "betting competitions" Wink (taking part could for sure giving a boost...)
Yes, they 90% of gamblers lose sports bet because they follow tipsters on Twitter, they are in suppose betting group that claims to give them sure odds and they would rather spend their time scavenging these websites that actually doing their homework. Tell me why they will not lose. In fact let me add that 90% of gamblers lose sports bettors lose 90% of the time. They need knowledge. They must learn how to sit down and do their analysis themselves, it will help them make more responsible gambling decisions.

Losing is just part of our betting journey but if we have been losing the whole time especially in sports betting, we have to check on our activity history and check if there's something wrong with what we are doing. Chasing other tipsters wouldn't always work. We know how predictable gambling results are so we couldn't always rely on anyone.
Instead of relying on tipsters, we better to background checking so we'll have an idea about the potential of the players or things like they've been going through so we'll know the possible flow of the match. It's all about the willingness and determination to learn and to do research.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does lottery rewards expire? on: July 05, 2023, 06:17:40 PM
It depends on each casino, they can set their own rules in order to confiscate someone winnings or they choose to be honest for keeping the prize until the winner claim it. That's why if you join a lottery or something like that, you need to register your account using your active email in order to get notified. If you use a random email and you not check regularly the casino, there's a high possibility you forget it and you don't know if you're lucky or not at that time.

I agree, it all depends on the casino's TOS. Some casinos usually set an expiration date and its purpose is for the winners to claim their prizes at the allotted time. However, most casinos provide a grace period for winners to claim their prizes but it all depends on the organizers as well as the regulations of the casino. That is why it is important to check the terms of services beforehand or even provide an active email so you could always get notified all the time. It is still our responsibility to check on the status of our tickets so we'll never miss the results as some casinos don't reach out to their winners so we must also do some actions to stay updated.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 05, 2023, 10:32:40 AM
Gambling is not a fatal disease that cannot be prevented, people can get rid of gambling addiction if they want to. For those who have taken up gambling as fun, it is not a problem to get out of gambling.
But for those who have taken up gambling as a career, it becomes difficult to stay away from the terrible addiction of gambling or to control oneself completely from gambling.
Especially those who take gambling as a source of income cannot be distracted at all. But it will only be possible if one wants to have self-confidence and challenge.
Yes, it's true, people always think that gambling addiction is a deadly disease, we have to distinguish drug addiction from gambling addiction, I think gambling addiction can still be cured at any time, for example, I used to be a cigarette addict and liked to drink alcohol, even I couldn't live with it. both, but with the belief from myself that I can stop by reducing it slowly, finally I can quit smoking and drinking alcohol. hardly ever touch it anymore

I'm sure it's a much easier way to let go of gambling addiction is to gradually reduce the time you play gambling so you don't gamble all the time, but if gambling is indeed a source of income, divert it by working or opening a business, for example trading looking for another activity and looking for a source. other income aside from gambling, I believe that slowly I will be free from gambling addiction as well as life becoming more controlled.

It's mind over matter after all. If we will not allow our urges to rule over then we will still be able to control ourselves from too much gambling. Yes, it might be hard for others but it is still curable and controllable as long as we will have strong self-control and self-discipline. It will take a lot of courage for us to get over gambling addiction. We can focus our attention on other things or keep ourselves busy doing other activities just so we will not fall deeper into gambling addiction.
Right from the beginning, we must set a target limit so we'll know when to stop. Chasing our losses is one of the reasons why many of us fall into gambling addiction. We should learn how to control our emotions and don't let them take control of our decisions.
276  Economy / Economics / Re: Should I Use Emergency funds or Sell my Assets ? on: July 02, 2023, 05:51:54 PM
If our economic situation is deteriorating then in addition to using the assets we have, an emergency fund is the best choice, because besides that we have to borrow money from others this will certainly be a big problem if we do not have a definite income because paying an installment will be difficult for those of us who borrow money in a certain place, So for the future, we must store our assets in crypto instead of fiat currency because this is all for our future.

In your current situation, you'll see the real purpose and importance of your emergency funds. As for me, in an unexpected financial crisis, you better use your emergency funds than sell your assets. Just be sure to save for emergency purposes again so you'll always be prepared for unexpected circumstances.
Despite having financial trouble, you should still have your assets on hold as much as possible so you'll have something to rely on in the future and you could also expect a promising profit when the time comes. We must know when to use our savings and assets because it will affect our financial journey in the long run.
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kids and Bitcoin on: July 02, 2023, 05:19:24 PM
There are plenty of them but it will consume a bit of your time in searching one. This is really a good idea for giving the kids idea of what bitcoin is.

I did saw another thread about suggesting not to force kids into knowing bitcoin and that's also a good point.

Well it differs from the point of view of someone who like to share knowledge in bitcoin and those that are concerned for the welfare of kids so that they can enjoy their youth.
Most of the kids this days used to read comic books. That's why it's a good initiation to let your kids reading a comic book for Bitcoin. But we have to be aware not to force them because it only mean that it's not the right time. Maybe some time they are ready just wait patiently. "There is a saying that we just don't always drink milk, we also try to eat some hard food to live".
I don't think that most of them are still reading comic books. But majority of them are into those kid videos and cartoons.

But it's a good start for giving them the idea of what you're trying to convey to them as a message on what to learn. They'll soon realize that and will remember what you're doing for them.

My point here is that, don't surrender on helping your kids getting knowledge on Bitcoin, time will come when they will be ready for it, just trust the process.
Yup, the time will come but also don't overstress yourself and them in learning. Just let it come naturally.

Let kids enjoy what they want to do and explore things that are appropriate for their age. See first if they have a huge interest in Bitcoin before introducing it to them at an early age. If not, just teach them about it when they have enough understanding at the right time.
It is actually a good idea to teach our kids about the importance of Bitcoin but we must also consider their mental welfare. We have to be sure that they are ready to absorb everything because even we, adults are also having a hard time dealing with it sometimes. Let your kids play and enjoy their childhood and teach them about Bitcoin when they're ready and you think they're mature enough to handle it.
278  Economy / Economics / Re: Has everyone become too pesimistic about the economy? on: July 02, 2023, 04:32:12 PM
It's true that some people may be overly pessimistic about the economy in general. Pessimism can be influenced by a variety of factors, including global events, political uncertainties, and financial market volatility. However, excessive pessimism about the economy may not always reflect the true reality. There are likely variations in the results and more optimistic scenarios to consider. However, on the other hand, one cannot ignore the risks and uncertainties that exist. It is important to combine a realistic view with current information and careful analysis to form a balanced understanding of the economy.

Being pessimistic is unavoidable sometimes especially if we're hearing negative news about the economic situation. The struggle in dealing with the recession period makes us think negatively about the economy and sometimes blame the government for what is happening.
However, if we'll look at the positive side, we could see lots of growth economically speaking. Lots of opportunities have opened for everyone and people could grab more jobs from businesses both physical and remote. I think if we'll focus on the development and growth of the economy, we'll not always be pessimistic towards it. We should keep in mind that some events that affect the economic situation are uncontrollable.
279  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bakit takot ang mga Filipino na pasukin ang crypto? on: July 02, 2023, 04:02:12 PM
May kwento ako dito na nangyari sa akin.
May nga not so close friends akong tinawag ako at nagtanong tungkol sa bitcoin, years ago.

Goods talaga solohin mo pero kung magtanong man sila give them the basic knowledge then it's up to them, kung may mangyari man sa kanila sagot na nila yon basta sabihan mo sila ng last words na "do your own research".

280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH vs BTC future growth potential on: July 02, 2023, 03:41:48 PM
Ethereum is a good token but I think in the future ETH will be replaced by some other coins that have low fee network. As previously stated, ETH has a problem with very high GAS Fees if you want to make some small transactions. Currently I personally prefer to use BNB or Matic network because they have smooth speed and easy to use.

For the majority of ETH users, high fees have always been a problem. To avoid paying for gas, the majority of them have changed networks and are utilizing different altcoins. Although high gas prices have consistently been a problem for Ethereum, there's no denying that it has investment potential, even though it's typically a suitable choice for long-term investments.
Users has been expecting that they could do something to lessen the fees but I think it will still take time for them to pursue it. No wonder why some altcoins are now growing and developing even better than Ethereum. BNB and Matic has been the best options of most users nowadays but I think Ethereum could compete fairly if they can provide the demand of the users.
