If you want to drop the price further please feel free.

I would like to buy back in...

What was the above private message exchange about?

The first one should have sufficed for direct communication.  Posting here that you have exchanged technical information is either leading or irrelevant.  I'm concerned that it is the former...
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official BitBay Thread |Smart Contracts Wallet UPDATE|Decentralized Marketplace on: January 21, 2015, 04:33:13 AM
where is the future of bitbay?

The future is markets and pegging/hedging.

Is there a general ETA on markets?

I ask because I was part of the IPO and all of the info that was provided for such was kind of flushed down the drain by words from certain folk.  Which is fine, but I am interested in knowing where we are with all of that.  Is it going to start off as a simple P2P marketplace or will there be a few modest vendors in place?

Either way, things are looking pretty good here and I am interested in ongoing development...which should take a more prolonged timetable than the IPO was focusing on.  This is how it should have started, in my opinion, so my kudos to you David for continuing the way you have.

Like, one or two pages back, Mr Spread posted a preview of the MN GUI...

I kind of have to agree on the centralized nature of the coin.  It seems like everytime someone has an issue that it can only be resolved by sending a message to 'Support'.

Don't get me wrong, I like the coin and I think that the dev is doing a great job at being responsive.  This project is an interesting one but it seems that it might not really qualify as a true crypto...it seems to have a classification all on it's own.

Definitely curious to see how this project evolves.
266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 19, 2015, 11:28:36 PM

I would like to see a ticker.

If the lowest cost fluctuates between 100 - 200 and has been for two weeks, i will set my MN's to 300 - 400 to stay safe, but also utilize the coins i have.

A ticker showing the lowest amount needed is an awesome idea. IMO

A graph would be awesome. So that we can see the change over time. Kinda like we see the difficulty change in the menu "overview".

LOL, this will create a whole new kind of technical analysis with support and resistance lines for masternode requirements. Ayeeee!

That would actually be kind of cool.  Not sure how much more effort that is but I think it could be useful.

Very cool to see the ideas and discussion in this thread...and the GUI is freaking cool.

There are more sells in SPR on c-cex than bittrex now.  Wink

I would guess an attempt at arbitrage...
268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 15, 2015, 06:00:50 PM
Oh wow! Thank you for your generous donation!

I remember when I tried to make the spreadcoin logo into liquid before some of the thin parts would be detatched. So I won't be able to do that idea.

Right now I have a floodgate opening up and glowing liquid flows out of it. It doesn't have anything to do with Spreadcoin. But if I made the fluid purple would that be considered a Spreadcoin thing because the water spreads out?

No problem.

That actually sounds cool...I would be interested in seeing anything that you create...
269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: January 15, 2015, 03:57:29 PM
Thanks for the suggestion!

Hmm... I could make the Spreadcoin logo turn into liquid and flow over a globe or something.
Would that be ok? I don't know how I would make it flow into a globe though

I was spitballin...I like your idea better than my suggestion...the only thing I would add is if it would be possible to kind of have a few of the splash points stand out so that the idea of decentralized nodes could be an implicitly represented in the graphic.

That sounds complex though...I think it would be epic without that detail.

I'll try to look into it but I might not do it. Sorry Sad

No need to apologize...I just thought your efforts were cool and wanted to provide feedback.

What if you ignored everything I said and went with your idea?

PM me your SPR address and I'll send you 125 SPR for the consideration (will be tomorrow/later today/timezones)...and you don't have to continue if you don't want to.  Art is worth supporting...-thumbsup-

I was pretty drunk last night and didn't see that you had an address in your signature.  Thanks for humoring my comments; 125 SPR sent...

Cheers.

Edit to Add - I sent from Trex so only 124.8 made it to your address...oops...

For one thing, there was no easy way to find things on the Web. Well, we didn’t get Google until 1998.
We had Lycos, Yahoo, Excite. Google came much later.

Add altavista to the mix.

That moment you realize the OP is some 18 year old kid who pretends to know what they're talking about....

Meh...the analogy is still relevant.  It's the Blockchain tech that is matters here.  BTC has tons of money invested even while the price is dropping.  BTC isn't going anywhere and right now, amidst the panic, it is a great gateway to a alts...a few which are worthy of note.

Which makes the analogy perfect...because altsvista sucked and so does feathercoin (arbitrary comparison)...

Time will tell though.

274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin revealed: a Ponzi scheme for redistributing wealth - Washington Post on: January 15, 2015, 06:49:21 AM
Poorly written article and the first clue is associating all of BTC with one political ideology.

I would thrash him in a debate yet I am pretty sure that he makes more money than me...so who is the real winner here.

For the life of me, I have no idea how anyone could call BTC a ponzi if they have spent even two hours researching the topic.  At worst, he could have posted a question to /r/bitcoin and been ridiculed twenty times before someone corrected such a notion with a serious face...
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE][ANN][KOBO] Kobocoin - Nigeria and West Africa's first micropayment system on: January 15, 2015, 06:40:34 AM
I really hope this project works on what it says it will.  Opening up that region to cheap financial transactions would be a huge benefit for the coin but it also keeps them in the mix regarding technological advance.

I am aware that western societies take advantage of their resources but stuff like this could help.

Is there a detailed plan on how to integrate...the process thereof?  I am watching and looking forward to more detail...it's a great premise and one I hope can be followed through on.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MangoCoinz Official ANN Thread - Mine cryptocurrencies on you smart phone on: January 15, 2015, 06:35:56 AM
The Atomic Trade pricing is like 2 times UseCryptos pricing O_O

It's due to low volume.  Not really much to worry about since the volume is low on both sites.

The narrative seems a bit discombobulated the past few pages.  I think the iOS needs to be finished and maybe a brushup on the UI should happen before we can expect a larger exchange and better volume.

The ball is in the devs court.  Consensus is that there is something to what they have and I am going to wait and see how that works out...I mentioned clams earlier and while it is different, I see a similar novelty appeal but with better user appeal (the fitness angle should not be underscored).  It took months for clams to jump...no reason to not be patient with Mangoz...

OK here's my final animation:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWBfT_5q0fo

I can't believe how bad the quality looks. Next time when I make one of these i'll make it at true 1920 x 1080. I had it like that but I rendered it at 50% quality so now it looks crap.

Thoughts...

It looks way better on mobile.  That said, the animation on the water is pretty rockin.  You gotz skillz...

But what if...instead of the random boxes, the waterfall was spilling over the SPR logo onto/into a globe of the world with a way to make  some of the splashes representative of decentralized nodes?  It would make it a bit more thematic of the coin...

Just an idea; I can't do what you do but I think it is cool...-thumbsup-
