We are getting back to the Serie A by the opening game today. Lazio are going to host Salernitana. Obviously the season is already over for the away side. There is no way they are getting themselves out of the relegation zone from now on while there is a gap of twelve points and three teams to beat for that. This is a plus for Lazio in this game.

Lazio are trying to get the spot for the Conference League at least. Their job looks really difficult but not impossible for now. They need to make up for the Roma loss. Lazio are given 1.35 odds for the win which is higher than my expectation. I think it is worth adding to parlay.  Wink

Barcelona took a very confident step towards the semi-finals, beating PSG away is already half the battle. Still, Enrique had fewer resources this season to achieve a positive result, of course this is not the end, there is a return match in which PSG will try to win, but beating Barcelona at home will be even more difficult. I see great potential in Enrique, but he needs to strengthen the team, let's see what he gets at the end of this season, funding or dismissal...

Technically it isn't exactly home for Barcelona as they are still not playing their home games at Camp Nou. However I can say they have got used to playing at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys as well. Their home statistics in the La Liga so far are really impressive.  Smiley  I already can't wait to watch the rematch just as much as the rematch of the Real Madrid - Manchester City one.

I must admit that I don't have the same excitement about the other two rematches. Because I believe Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid will eliminate their opponents easier, if especially Arsenal don't surprise me though.  Tongue  I believe in Manchester City too but maybe it would be another competitive game to watch anyway.

There is no doubt that many gamblers lost money on Liverpool's win. But I restrained myself from betting on the match. Because I thought Liverpool are now more busy to win the Premier League title. Their main target is to secure the Premier League title. So I wasn't sure if Liverpool would give their full effort in the Europa League match.

Klopp probably thought they could win against Atalanta with the second row of players. This was Liverpool's biggest mistake. Atalanta team should not be underestimated by Liverpool. However, we saw a very poor performance from Liverpool's defenders. Liverpool would not have been beaten badly if the defenders had done well.

Klopp didn't have much choice to do this rotation honestly. Because the Premier League title is the most important thing for them indeed and they have a game to play there this Sunday. He must have wanted to have at least some of his main players fully fit for the Crystal Palace game. Besides Liverpool actually played really good, the score shouldn't be misleading. They were just incapable of finishing lots of goal opportunities.  Sad

Leverkusen were insanely good by the way.  Cheesy  They literally didn't let West Ham play. The final score seems as 2-0 maybe but believe me it could have ended much worse for West Ham.  Tongue  After securing the Bundesliga title it looks like Xabi Alonso wants to go all in here.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 11, 2024, 12:53:29 PM
It was a worrying result for PSG last night.  Sad  They lost against Barcelona home by 3-2 you know. They are already comfortable with winning the Ligue 1 title but their main goal has always been to win the Champions League title. But in this way their job is more difficult. If Luis Enrique can't make it then he might also join the managers to be parted ways with soon...

There aren't so many league games this week by the way. The only interesting one to me is Lyon - Brest. I'm curious about whether Lyon will be able to deal a blow to Brest which are having an amazing season.  Huh  Brest were able to win by 1-0 home before. I think both teams will score this time and 1.81 looks really tempting for that.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 11, 2024, 12:46:09 PM
Atletico Madrid are coming back to the La Liga after a really valuable win against Dortmund. I think they will reach next phase in the Champions League as well. Simeone is doing his best to keep a balance between the Champions League and La Liga. However they are still under danger of finishing out of top four in the league.  Sad

In this month they are playing two tough league games against Girona and Athletic Bilbao. Both are home ones which could be seen as advantage. If they collect 6 points from these games I will be more confident about them to finish in top four. Otherwise they might be in trouble.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: April 11, 2024, 12:40:04 PM
BTTS is likely a wise decision in this match, considering Aston Villa may be playing defensively against Villa and may only be relying upon the direct counterattack to beat Arsenal.

The chance owned by villa to take three or one point is still there as long as villa will be playing carefully against arsenal soon.

Both teams to score can be a reasonable option I agree. When we examine the last games between these teams at Emirates we can see that most of them ended up like that. It wouldn't be bad to give it a chance @1.86 considering that.  Wink  Aston Villa don't have any problem with scoring you know. They are one of the most productive teams in the league this season.

When it comes to Aston Villa's chance to steal some points of course there is a slight chance. If they score first they might be able to do it but still their job is really difficult. I don't like Aston Villa defensively this season honestly.  Sad

This kinda reminds me that one of my buddies was stating that there is no way for Kane to not win any trophy after joining Bayern Munich. Atleast he should be getting Bundesliga trophy with Bayern Munich. That was atleast 7 months old conversation and yet, it looks like he wont be getting any this year. Im not convinced that Bayern Munich will be able to win the UCL

He might be able to win the Bundesliga title for a couple of years actually but let's see. For the Champions League title this season, I think the same. Bayern Munich's game doesn't look convincing. They got a draw against Arsenal and I can't say they played very impressive as a whole. Let's say Manchester City got past Real Madrid then I wouldn't have any doubt about Manchester City to beat Bayern Munich.

Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be interested in Ivan Toney recently. While his market value is 50 million euros I think Brentford would demand way over this. But I don't know whether the interested teams would pay a very high sum for him.  Huh  Chelsea's priority might be Osimhen now too.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 11, 2024, 08:38:37 AM
Not everyone understands Alonso's desire to remain in the team, but changing locations is not always easy. If there is a family, then you need to change the environment, change schools for the children, and these are friends and relatives, I don’t know how Alonso is doing with this, but there are people for whom change is always difficult. Besides, you are right, Alonso achieved great results at Bayer, I am sure that they respect him there and would really like him to remain in the team. If he can win the Bundesliga again next season, he will raise his value even higher.

He doesn't want to rush for anything as it seems. He wants to take it slow while he is still a young and new manager. I respect his decision but I would really love to watch him manage a much bigger team. I'm curious about what he can do with a squad full of star players.  Grin  He made a statement in an interview recently like he wouldn't say no to managing Liverpool in the future. It is nice to hear that he leaves the door open.  Smiley

Would this announcement mean there'll be a more competitive Bundesliga League Competition next season? I'm looking forward to that kind of season ahead with Bayern Munich and the rest of the other sub club's.

Bayern Leverkusen are indeed Champions! They brought in a legend of the game who has played around all of the best attacking coaches and also the best, now look at where it lands him? Making him the best coach in all of European Football? He could still on to win the remaining games in all of Bundesliga and I'm not gon be boggled.

They're the fucking Champions already, crown them already, give them the Cup. This is all we wanted to see from last season but Borrussia Dortmund bottled the chances they had of lifting that trophy.
They have started well, I hope to see how they go with the UEFA European Europa League Competition right now.

It looks like we will have a more competitive Bundesliga finally.  Smiley  I mean Xabi Alonso's system is so smooth that it doesn't look like it will break after only one season. I hope so as well because of getting bored to see Bayern Munich winning titles easily.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 11, 2024, 08:31:35 AM
Chelsea are aiming for osimhen according to the Anglo-Saxon press.

The player will certainly leave Napoli and Italy this summer, declared several times by the Napoli's president.

The price will not be less than 100 million, and according to the president's words the player should already have an agreement with an English team.

Yeah there must be no way for Osimhen to stay as long as he gets a reasonable offer. He wanted to extend his contract by only one year when he was approached by his team. After this poor season Napoli have had so far I don't expect them to manage to keep him for one more year. They had better pray to not get offers for him this summer.  Grin

In addition to Chelsea I expect an official offer to be made by PSG also. Comparing the two teams PSG are going to be in the Champions League of course. But on the other hand playing in the Premier League is also a privilege as the title there is more valuable than the Ligue 1 title for sure. I wonder whether he will get an offer from another Premier League team too.  Huh
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 11, 2024, 08:25:54 AM
Real Madrid - Manchester city was an exciting match to say the least. I watched the whole thing and it was a pure spectacle, a very beautiful beat and replay. The first 3 goals came in the first 15 minutes of the game and it was already foreshadowed that it would be a match full of sudden twists and turns, the only sore point was the near absence of the two most expected players, haaland and bellingam were hardly seen throughout the match.

Haaland is nearly always lost in big games. I'm sad for him when this happens. He isn't a player who gets the ball from behind and carries it to front to distribute it or score himself. He needs to be fed by the other players to do his deadly finish. He didn't even get the ball in the whole game if I don't remember wrong. De Bruyne didn't play which was also a negative for Haaland.  Sad

The Champions League continued from where it left last night.  Smiley  PSG - Barcelona was really lovely however I thought PSG would win. This result is very surprising but not only to me of course. Most people must have thought the same as me. In a matchup like this I believe nothing ended yet. PSG might turn things around too but Barcelona have a really solid advantage by 3-2 now.  Smiley

In the other game of the night the game was always ready to go for the advantage of each side. Dortmund defense was horrible and Atletico Madrid could have won by a bigger goal gap. At the same time Dortmund also had 2 shots hitting the post in the last minutes and missed the chance of getting a draw...
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: April 10, 2024, 01:21:18 PM
Bayer Leverkusen are enjoying a fantastic period under Xabi Alonso and are one of the favorites for the Europa League. They are unbeaten in 41 matches in all competitions in the 23-24 season. This statistic is an incredible start for Alonso. Leverkusen had a very difficult time against Karabakh in the previous round, but managed to get through and they have a chance to claim the Bundesliga title this weekend.

Leverkusen rotated their squad for the game against Union Berlin and I think they had the opportunity to prepare well for West Ham. Last season's Conference League champions West Ham lost away to Freiburg in the previous round but won the rematch with a different score. Even though things are not going well for West Ham in the Premier League, they will come into this game with extra motivation. Leverkusen are the favorites for this match but I think West Ham have the potential to surprise.

We are back in action tomorrow, nice! Leverkusen are still unbeaten and they would like to make it stay that way as well. Here in the first leg I don't give much chance for West Ham to catch them by surprise. Because now Leverkusen are inches away from announcing their Bundesliga title early. I expect them to be even more concentrated on the Europa League title from now on.  Smiley

I hope to not see the kind of performance they had against Qarabag this time in short. They can't beat West Ham that easy by playing inconsistently. West Ham aren't an easy team to beat as we are talking about a Premier League quality.  Wink  I think Leverkusen will win the first leg and maybe a finish with a draw in the rematch.
272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 10, 2024, 01:15:02 PM
I think the scenario for Real Madrid will be like this in the rest of the season. They will be eliminated in the Champions League by Manchester City however they will still win the La Liga title on one hand. I don't think Ancelotti would lose both of them which would be really bad for his future in this team as well. I know he has just extended his contract but the patience level of the board would be lower next season.  Sad

But I don't expect Barcelona to just close a gap of eight points with them. It would be a big surprise. The season will probably end worse for them compared to Real Madrid. In this case I don't think Xavi would change his mind about leaving by the end of the season.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Premier League 2023/2024 Discussion Thread ⚽ on: April 10, 2024, 01:09:04 PM
A tough game is on the horizon for Arsenal. They are going to host Aston Villa in four days and the odds are like below.

Of course bookmakers are highly favouring Arsenal home. It is totally normal however this is still a game in which Arsenal should play really carefully. Aston Villa are still having a decent season even though their recent form isn't that impressive. Emery beat Arteta once by 1-0 this season. Arteta will need to get his players prepared better this time. Considering how strong Arsenal have been in home games I don't feel like they will lose this. But I think it will be a close one like 1-0 or 2-1.  Smiley
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 10, 2024, 09:16:33 AM
Lyon even have a chance to reach the sixth position mathematically as the gap is only five points. But it isn't a high probability at the same time. Because Lyon will have to fight four teams ahead for capturing the position. It is really difficult task to perform as a result.  Sad  However I assume Lyon are already relieved in their position now.

Because they started this season horrible you know. They couldn't save themselves from the relegation zone for a long time as well. But from a really dire situation they still managed to climb to the tenth position. This is still a nice progress for them. This is a start for collecting themselves and I hope things don't be upside down again next season.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 10, 2024, 09:07:05 AM
I'm actually tired of seeing Bayern Leverkusen play but never suffer a single defeat and we as spectators want to see this season they lose at least once for entertainment but that doesn't happen. Xabi Alonso is a crazy and genius coach. The players he has are not very well known and even the way to get players is free, except that only Xhaka was bought while the rest are loan players and free transfers.

So if you say bored, I mean bored in a positive sense. Every time we see his always stable performance, beautiful passes from foot to foot, ball control, attacking tactics and so on it clearly makes us wonder whether Leverkusen is not tired of winning continuously?

I'm curious to see the tactical battle between Xabi Alonso and Daniele De Rossi or Jurgen Klopp in the Europa League.

I'm not getting tired to see Leverkusen dominance at all honestly.  Tongue  Because it is a huge change for me after being fed up with watching Bayern Munich become champions every single season.

I'm really curious about what the secret behind Xabi Alonso's success is. It seems like he has built a really solid system by mixing the things he learned from the best managers while he was a footballer. I'm really keen on seeing what they will do next season not only in the Bundesliga but also the Champions League. If they still stay consistent then Leverkusen board would never want to let go of Xabi Alonso I assume.  Grin  I would also do the same of course.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 10, 2024, 08:57:43 AM
No matter how big Kane contribution, Bayern Munich has experienced a decline this season. So Kane cannot fully carry this club continuously if there are no changes in every line at Bayern Munich and the coach must be replaced immediately. Kane needs a more suitable partner and currently Bayern Munich players do not have the same quality. There needs to be a major upgrade to face next season, Bayern Munich is required to return the Bundesliga trophy and the solution is to improve the players and coaches. Kane's contribution does have a big impact but it won't stop there if in the end this season Bayern Munich loses the trophy. In the Champions League there is also no 100% guarantee of qualifying, facing Arsenal with their current strength will be quite difficult.

Kane is absolutely the best performing player in Bayern Munich squad this season. Nobody can blame him for this unsuccessful season honestly. He is scoring a lot of goals which is his job to do in the first place. He just can't break a leg to win a title unfortunately. I'm really sad for him after all this high effort. He is a world-class player normally.  Sad

But as long as he doesn't start winning titles a part of his career will continue to be poor without a trophy. I wouldn't be keen on Bayern Munich to be champions in the Bundesliga normally because of their being very dominant over many years. However just for Kane I hope they make it sooner or later.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 10, 2024, 08:47:56 AM
It was a dream night for me honestly.  Grin  This could really be the best way to start a Champions League quarter final phase. We watched 10 goals in 2 games which is insane! I watched Real Madrid - Manchester City and I'm so happy to choose that one to watch. Both halves were very entertaining. Imagine a game in which there are 6 goals and all of them are of an incredible kind.

After many comebacks we watched finally it ended by 3-3. I think Manchester City will still eliminate Real Madrid at Etihad but I hope we watch a similar game to this again.  Roll Eyes  We didn't see De Bruyne in the game and Guardiola explained it like he was unwell. This was still no issue for them as they scored three goals.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: April 08, 2024, 03:22:46 PM
By the way congratulations to Athletic Bilbao on their Copa del Rey victory. I totally forgot about the game while following big games in the Premier League in the meantime.  Grin

I was expecting Athletic Bilbao to win easier than this honestly. Mallorca made them quite big difficulties as it seems. However I believe Athletic Bilbao really deserved this title anyway. This season they are playing at a much higher level. They are trying to take the last spot for the Champions League from Atletico Madrid in the La Liga on one hand you know. I don't feel like they will be successful on that though but let's see whether they can defeat Simeone in the competition.  Smiley
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 08, 2024, 03:11:40 PM
When it comes to the Martial interest by Inter I can say it wouldn't be a bad transfer at all. Martial can't do much at Manchester United anymore. It would be the best thing for him to look for a new adventure. Inter might be one of the good addresses. He shouldn't just expect to be a regular player in the starting eleven right away.

There are four forward players in Inter squad right now.  Sad  I assume Inter would part their ways with one of them this summer. I see that Alexis Sanchez's contract runs out this year. Maybe him? Or maybe Arnautovic? Let's see which one it will be. They have similar stats and I feel like it will be Alexis Sanchez because of his higher salary.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: April 08, 2024, 03:03:35 PM
I think this is actually not a good enough reason to say that real Madrid has an advantage because playing very close to the fixture like the way Manchester city can even be a moral booster for them most especially now that they have even won the match with a whooping amount of goals scored. Manchester city scored a total of four goals and they have been which is really a good performance because it will keep their team on check and active for the fixture.

Playing a game on a close date also has some advantages of course I agree. Match fitness of Manchester City players would be higher than Real Madrid players for sure. However I'm not sure whether we can say the same thing about fatigue level as well.  Sad  Because the disadvantageous side is Manchester City players' having a game only a couple of days ago like I said.

We will see how things turn out. In the end big Premier League teams are used to playing in a really tight schedule like this one. I don't have an expectation from them to play poorly. But at least home Real Madrid might be able to do good things.
