When selecting my graphics card I can't seem to get this to run I want to be able to generate 100 keys with 4/5 custom prefix. Anyone have any step by step guide to get this to work?
post the arguments ur using, otherwise you very likely wont get any help at all.

..
solo mining works
OK that is nice but with a pool it is more profitable.
Datacoin can now be deposit en withrawed for BTer so we can espect now more atention.
How to solo mining? I was used to mining in the pool but were can I find the procedure to set up solo mining?
I can host a website for datacoin if there is a developer how want to take care of the content.

a pool is not more profitable, usually the opposite.
get a XPM miner, point it to datacoind, enjoy Wink

if this is tomuch hassle, use builtin cpu-miner, change conf file to include following code
Code:
gen=1
genproclimit=-1
263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: January 25, 2015, 11:11:24 AM
guys why are you even still here?

Shadowcash has ZK transactions in it now.

Anoncoin is dead, I mean couldn't even fix the difficulty algorithm by copying and pasting any modern algorithm released in early 2014? Much less hyper theoretical zero coin. You know the deal.

And yet, the value of SDC is down over the month while ANC is coming back up.

I wonder what everybody else knows that you don't...

It is noteworthy that anytime someone speaks up in here, you guys come trolling.
there would be no trolls, if anoncoin wouldnt pose a threat to some other project Wink

DTC deposit /withdrawal has been enabled on bter.

Lily@Bter.com
Thank you I confirm it works.
Now we have to find a way that we can mine Datacoin again and discuss about posible applications that give value to this coin.

solo mining works
265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Core 0.9.2.1 on: January 21, 2015, 03:03:55 PM
At the current hashrate of the coin , how many i7 processors it will take to do a 51%?

Few days ago you would have needed only 80M to perform a 51% attack, if someone had really been interested to knock down the network he could do that by temporarily ordering a few number of virtual machines. It would probably have costed less than 1000$. Even that was too much to perform an attack, noone cares.

The Hashrate hasnīt been that low since December 2013, still in December the situation was better because it wasnīt that centralized - even though it was really bad:

As you can read from this post the Hashrate of Coinmine in December 2013 was about 90%. Today it has 98.96% with 406M Hashrate (donīt believe it? click here). There is basically noone solo mining. Quark IS coinmine.pl.

Waiting for Digitalindustry or Hillux to come and claim that Quark is the best and most decentralized currency.

Iīd be interested in an explanation how Quark could ever get away from being centralized at coinmine.pl

thats the miners fault. most miners are braindead and just follow guides/copy-paste.
tough a pool that cares about such situations, would not allow itself to grow that big. obviously, this isnt such a pool.

Emercoin.com under DDoS attack!

Code:
Hi there,

Our system has automatically detected an inbound DDoS against your droplet EMERCOIN.COM with the following IP Address: 192.241.241.153

As a precautionary measure, we have temporarily disabled network traffic to your droplet to protect our network and other customers. Once the attack subsides, networking will be automatically reestablished to your droplet. The networking restriction is in place for three hours and then removed.

Please note that we take this measure only as a last resort when other filtering, routing, and network configuration changes have not been effective in routing around the DDoS attack.

Please let us know if there are any questions, we're happy to help.

Thank you,
DigitalOcean Support
good to know that DigitalOcean are chickens...

I see you're using an Rc version: v99900 - Maybe that's what's causing your errors. I only use the stable release versions for mining.......

OMG, Why I didn't saw that myself?  Embarrassed
I'm gonna deploy a stable release of Bitcoin Core to factor this out! Thanks!

I've been monitoring my P2Pool Node very closely since the update to the last Bitcoin Core version. I found out with Block #339.597 (which took about 50mins and had more than 2000tx did not grow beyond the the maxblocksize of 1.000.000! This is great news now the P2Pool did not gave any "playload too long" error at console. The update to a later Bitcoin Core did the trick. I would advise everyone to update their Bitcoin Core concerning this issue!

Thanks for the good help and your efforts everyone!!!
be aware that the maxsize for a tx is 50kB. unfortunately hardcoded...

Is there a way to stop the alert windows 'Anoncoin is running on clearnet!' that open at start of anoncoin-QT 0.8.5.6 (i2p=1 in anoncoin.conf) under windows? Because for solo-mining when this open at restart of CPU it stop there waiting someone to hit OK button... hence I cannot start to solomine automatically anymore... maybe by putting something in anoncoin.conf or by using a command line argument?

Thank you!

Add the line stfu=1 to your anoncoin.conf to silence it  Wink

How do I stop the

"Failed to connect to SAM(111)
Created a new SAM session (DMIOGTOX)  from another (KQKRJ)
Closing SAM session (DMIOGTOX) ...
Failed to connect to SAM(111)
Failed to connect to SAM(111)
Created a new SAM session (NBQGUNY)  from another (KQKRJ)
Closing SAM session (NBQGUNY) ...
Failed to connect to SAM(111)
Failed to connect to SAM(111)
Created a new SAM session (RARGXQ)  from another (KQKRJ)
Closing SAM session (RARGXQ) ...
Failed to connect to SAM(111)"

stuff? stfu=1 is in the conf and hides the 'I'm in clearnet' warning.
disable i2p (i2p=0)
if you dont want I2P, your doing it wrong!
dont cry if your txs dont get confirmed Wink

Can malicious nodes get the private keys?
sad...
270  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: January 11, 2015, 12:52:32 PM
quick question
i have 3 vga 7970 all in the same motherboard. I start oclvanitygen but it only looks with 1, this is the command line:

env LD_LIBRARY_PATH=./sdklib ./oclvanitygen -D 0:0 -k 1Nasty

what should i change to use multiple vga?
i read like 20 pages of the post here and couln't find the answer

Add -D 0:1 -D 0:2. If you are using more, increase the number.

i read like 20 pages of the post here and couln't find the answer

It was in last page(#98). Wink

   ~~MZ~~

~/vanitygen $ env LD_LIBRARY_PATH=./sdklib ./oclvanitygen -d 0:1 -d 0:2 -d 0:3 -k 1Nasty
Difficulty: 259627881
Pattern: 1Nasty
Address: 1Nastyf64qw5xXuBD6ybVLvTVhncLmU9zb
Privkey: 5JizejJoHntiZbG6JHofV97559RjeeYGbHKAwUj63tNrMrMpWri
[25.01 Mkey/s][total 96468992][Prob 9.2%][50% in 6.2s][Found 1]                ^C
~/vanitygen $

didn't work still the program sees 1 vga only.

i did this to see what the programs sees:
~/vanitygen $ env LD_LIBRARY_PATH=./sdklib ./oclvanitygen -d 3:1 -k 1Nasty
Difficulty: 259627881
Available OpenCL platforms:
0: [Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.] AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing
0: [Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.] Tahiti
  1: [AuthenticAMD] AMD Athlon(tm) II X2 270 Processor
~/vanitygen $

it sees 1 vga only? :/
first, nothing to do with "VGA".
second, use the appropriate option! its -D not -d.
example:
Code:
./oclvanitygen -D 0:0 -D 0:1 -D 0:2 -D 0:3 -D 0:4 -D 0:5 -D 0:6 -D 0:7
next time check the --help Wink
271  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: January 09, 2015, 05:07:03 PM
Anybody know the possibility of getting regex -r to work on the oclvanitygen  Huh It is way to slow to use regex finder on the cpu vanitygen64 only.
everything is possible, thats not the question/problem.
Anyone working on getting regex to work on oclvanitygen vs vanitygen64
not that im aware of. you would have to port regex to OpenCL first.

thanks, btw if we change date and time of our offline laptop before we generate address would that make our address more secure ?

There are mulitple types of security here.

First, do you trust the source where you downloaded the software.... ?
I build from the source-code itself to be sure my executable doesn't do anything unexplained.

The second type of security has to do with the ECSDA key generation.
This is linked to your SSL library.
Since it uses entropy to make key generation unique, it would even be hard for your computer to regenerate the same result.
Modern entropy uses time, (cpu) temperature readings, harddisk head locations etc etc to make it unique.

Then there is the security of you home network.

Etc etc.

As you can see if you play with the program is that for each extra character you add the time to get the address is multiplied by 60.
Even if you generate an address with the first 9 char in a preferred state, in order to get access to this address anyone else will have
to generate all 35 chars.

too bad im too noob and have to  trust other senior member here.
btw im making 7 wallet and then use the generated key to seed brain wallet... thats my noob way of generating secure wallet  LOL

not bad eh... Grin Grin Grin
thats actually bad!
if you want to seed a brainwallet. get some "random" input (aka entropy) and seed the brainwallet with that.

Just rolled back to release 21, 6% CPU usage against 44% of release 22.
There's release 23 already: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826901.msg9976879#msg9976879

does it work with mono?
No idea, and I won't get my hopes up for it ^^" But it works over the network, so another windoze pc or virtualbox with windoze should work.
winblows is no option Wink

Aahw. Well seeing you're a Legendary and you've managed to stick with the game for so long, you'll probably have deeprooted ideals in which Windoze doesn't fit ^^"
Well, I'm sorry to say, but I'm just an autodidact when it comes to programming, IRL I'm an ISP technician, so don't expect that much from me Cheesy
(/me should've just sticked with java, but no, C# just had to be more powerful Tongue )
il try it later with mono Smiley if only basic things are used it should be fine.

Fixed slow cpu. X11,x13,x14,x15,x17, nist, quark. Lyra is still a bit slow but faster than build 22

The 23nd public beta(windows executable) is available here: (29-12-2014)

http://www.filedropper.com/ccminer23

The sourcecode is available here:

https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer

Post your stats here. Card name/gpu clock/memclock

Same hashrate on X11 but only 12% cpu usage now ^^ It was 8% before build22 for 2x 750TIs. Thx.

(Started build23 after the last red area/line, ignore the others Tongue)

Now let's hope you'll keep the API so I can keep on monitoring.
I'm nearing the first release of it, and it would be a real shame if all was for nothing.
Source of almost-100%-working ccmonitor is already out there: https://github.com/KBomba/ccmonitor
does it work with mono?
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: December 29, 2014, 05:58:32 PM
If you have connetion/sync/relay problems, its your own fault.
Please use a recent build or compile it for yourself.
Almost all clearnet nodes are outdated!
Also enabling I2P will help alot.
279  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANNOUNCE] Abe 0.7: Open Source Block Explorer Knockoff on: December 28, 2014, 02:08:53 AM
hi,

can anyone post a download link for abe.sqlite bitcoin (or a trick to make it faster), this shit takes forever to finish. im still on block_tx 182130 3564583 since 7 days  Shocked
just dont use sqlite, its not meant for a serious DB, just for something small to play around/beginners. bitcoin is huge and dosnt fit this space.

I compiled your latest source, and get worse results than from tpruvots latest on my GTX760.
http://snag.gy/uBKmK.jpg - http://snag.gy/BfP3L.jpg

It's better on the 750tis, that's for sure Wink
http://snag.gy/e6KjJ.jpg - http://snag.gy/FjUyD.jpg

Bombadil (KBomba) seems to be working on "ccmonitor" code just recently.
Previews are up there ^^ Anyone likes tabs as much as I do? Tongue
looks like VB/.NET, so if your a sane developer (to question due to your programming language Tongue) it should run with mono on non-retarded systems.
