this coin should be PoS only, why does it allow PoW too? What do you mean it allows PoW? Open debug menu, type "setgenerate true", then sit back and wait a few minutes. you'll see. Looks like you can still mine transaction fees. no its real blocks, but every block is only worth 0.0001 i already have 2.226k blocks so yea, mining PoW isnt worth it, but helps transaction speedup. the only problem is, with PoS i have majority of block generation and therefore can do a 51% attack... sad I am still not even sure if PoS is working. Transactions are pretty fast though, almost instant. of course they are fast, i solve 1 block per 1.5 seconds

It needs more hype to grow, some reason to get people to buy and use it. And probably, less people with reprogrammed bitcoin FPGAs dumping it.

In the wallet properties view, there is a button named "Remove Imported Address". It wants me to select which address to remove, tough im unsure which i imported. As the wallet is deterministic, its possible to find out which addresses are imported. Is there a way to display said addresses?
I don't know if you tried but it will fail if the address wasn't really imported Seems the wallet i was checking had no imported keys. Another one has. Seems the feature i asked for already exists. In the Wallet Properties, the first cell (#) will show Imported instead of the N'th seeded address

I have reviewed the situation and updated Vircurex’s status. The review now reads F+: It’s Complicated. You can find it here.I would like to point out, though, that my C+ review referred to Vircurex as ‘shady’ and pointed out the lack of profitability indicated in their previous years report, as well as the vagueness of their ownership and existence. You may want to read the article in addition to looking at the list. Thanks for bringing the entirety of the situation to my attention. your link is broken you have to remove the "

I am wondering if I can overlock the engine or memory of gpu when I am using latest version of ur miner?
cgminer -> sgminer -> sph-sgminer. since cgminer can do it, this tool can do it too.

Wasn't me who pointed that out, it was Dragon. I have had no problem with my bitcoin wallet at all, it synced almost immediately.
The Idea of it I like. However I think most, if not 90% of people I know that might be interested in this kind of anonymity, would be put off by the difficulty of the whole setup process involved. Especially when the wallet says its ready but it isn't and you need to go do a whole lot more work/syncing to get it even functioning.
The time isn't really the problem, its the whole process. I know this might be the price of anonymity, but I think it could be streamlined a LOT more if that's what the creators wanted.
I guess that's the way it is intended at this stage however, otherwise I am sure it would have been addressed by now!
I wanted to compare the speed of synchronizing anc/btc from the beginning .. But the daily synching is also faster at least x5 I use the wallet over clearnet, so I do not know how is with Tor/I2P And for all who use Clearnet, with Zercoin it will make transactions anonymous even with clearnet use, which is why it is important to complete it. That way everyone that know how to use bitcoin/litecoin today will be able to use anoncoin to stay anonymous. This is wrong. There are certain attacks to check if a given *coin{d,-qt} has an address in its wallet or not. So it is still a good idea to use it over I2P, otherwise you can map the location to an anddress.

If its done well (example -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=153232.0) we donate some coins for it (includes maintaining the thread too). When you say, "pool op can screw you in many ways", do you mean things like : - alternate payout addys - "orphans" - blocks that pay out 10% of normal reward - extremely high minimum share difficulty - extremely fast share expiry rate ect.. Can you tell that I've had my fill ? heh... Are there any plans to integrate P2P with the client ? Make it 'turn key' and us noobs (f the morons ) will flock to Anoncoin. lol Yes, things like that. Do you mean shipping p2pool WITH the ANC QT client? PS: "morons" wasnt ment as insult, more like a objective view. in case you feel insulted, excuse me None taken. heh.. Yup.. and done right.. it would make traditional pools a thing of the past. Ive put it on my "TODO/DISCUSS" list for the team. Will get back to it once i know if its feasible.

Some very interesting points there. How about this: Datacoin becomes encrypted. People want to host files publicly though so they post the file keys online. Soon everyone decides to use a standard key or password for public files to reduce time spent googling, this becomes `The Public Key`. Now datacoin may as well not be encrypted since we can all access the public (and potentially illegal) stuff. What now? Your forgetting scale. I can't store 1GB file in the Datacoin blockchain unless I pay thousands of dollars. It reduces the use case to only small files. Its not ment for idiots to publish huge files... Just use a cloud service for what you want to do.

so far there is no miner, right? can someone please tell me what is the difficulty now?
all miner dev. have bailed out as it is an obvious attempt at scamming miners (dev releasing a sub-optimal miner on purpose while he is mining with a faster miner) Fee free to mine though some ppl are too stupid to read... AND understand!
