Big rise with lots of volume in China again!

ANC/CNY prices have also been averaging a little higher than ANC/BTC prices on both BTC38 and Cryptsy.

Maybe many Chinese are eager for the new Anoncoin client and the I2P marketplace featuring Anoncoin!

would somebody guide me to an active mining pool? OR how to join K1773R's p2pool?

You can either mine on my p2pool directly, or download the p2pool repository from my github account and mine to your own local instance.
Where do you have Problems? Which of those do you want?
I would like to mine at your p2pool. Please let me know how to go about it.
BUMP
Info or a link to info regarding mining at K1773R's p2pool would be very helpful, please.  Thanks!

you can point your miners to stratum+tcp://k1773r.darkgamex.ch:8851/ or setup your own p2pool and anoncoind (use I2P for anoncoind, if possible). use the p2pool version hosted in my github account. select the anoncoin network.
setting up your own p2pool is the prefered way.

OK, over 1100% share count -- I quit!

Code:
Estimated Shares this Round 4,575,147 (done: 1133.81%)
Next Network Block 431,858    (Current: 431,857)
Last Block Found 0          Time Since Last Block zero seconds

I don't even understand how you guys are coming up with those stacks of 50,000 coins!  Why should I consider contributing towards a new wallet when I can't even mine coins for the current wallet?  As I've amply demonstrated, that above identified "pool" is nothing but a pit to pour electricity into.  Two and a half days of ~900GH/s and nada coins, just forever accumulating shares!

The BCX BS appears to continue!
happens if you mine at someone else pools, your fault you get screwed.
solo mine or use p2pool.

DVC price should have been 3X more than price XRP
XRP is just well done marketing debt scam Wink it will fail over time.

still on pace for Jun 30 launch?

Will other coins besides ANC and BTC be supported?

We are in fact ahead of schedule. It looks like we may launch as much as a week early. All the features necessary to launch are complete. We are capable of launching a finished product right now but are doing more security related tests and adjusting the code for margin trading and short sales.  If you would like to view the demo site (hosted on low bandwith server). Demo accounts are funded with sample balances to experiment with our trading platform. The link is: http://fclgyds4otcwiwwlsqh6x3q6x54ws5qapythrtefg2ceyoa5vzsq.b32.i2p

We are planning on offering trading pairs for about 30 coins. Various privacy focused and higher volume coins.

We support optional GPG based 2 factor authentication and encrypted i2pbote email alerts for the most secure and private user experience possible. Its even possible to create GPG based passwordless/usernameless accounts.

Are you willing to tell us which 30 coins will be accepted at launch? Besides ANC can we assume that DASH and all the cryptonote coins will be included along with BTC and LTC of course?

We haven't decided yet. I will post the list when we make the ann thread a couple days before launch. But otherwise, like I say,  We pretty much going to accept the coins with the highest volume and those with privacy focus. No Cryptonote coins will be supported as they do not support tor or i2p connection. If they add anonymous connection capability at a later date we will add them.

Actually I think the cryptonote traders (along with ANC and DASH) might be some of your most loyal traders because they care the most about privacy. It is true that cryptonote coins like BBR do not yet have native I2P or TOR support, but neither do most of the "high volume" coins you refer to. Why would high volume coin traders use your I2P exchange unless they value privacy? If they do value privacy, it seems like coins such as ANC, DASH, XMR and BBR would be most attractive to them.

XMR (who plans to integrate I2P eventually by the way) and BBR can still be used with your exchange. They do not need native I2P integration to be able to send coins to/from an I2P exchange.  Anyone can cut/paste a destination address from your I2P exchange into the wallet of a coin without I2P support.  Until more coins (such as ANC) add I2P support this will be how it works for most coins

The issue with cryptonote coins is that the server must run a node anonymously. Bitcoin based altcoins can be run over tor, monero etc cannot. This increases the risk of demasking.

Currently CryptoCurrency Exchanges are under increasing regulatory pressure. This Exchange will provide trading services for those traders who don't with to be lawskeyd. Also we are are interested at some point in the future to provide a desktop client similar to MetaTrader that will have i2pd embedded so anyone can trade any coin easily and anonymously without ever having to put any effort into technical computer configurations.

Can you explain me why this is not feasible or can not be accomplished as other coins running over TCP  Shocked Huh
You can sync a XMR Wallet over TOR, so why can you not use an exchange or a XMR miner over TOR  Huh
Im not intrested in a flame war. I know how easy it is to get riled up but instead i recommend reading the whole thread before kneejerking. I already responded to this Wink. I tried to run the wallet over tor i had an issue with it, I brought it up to the devs in IRC, they didn't respond, I waited 3 days and then gave up. Thank you for pointing out that in fact Monero can be run over tor. Im sorry for incorrectly stating cn coins dont work over tor. When I get it working and get the wallet api working I will add Monero to the list of supported coins. Give the heads up to the people in IRC #monero-dev that responding to people asking questions about errors and shit is appreciated so the next confused fucker doesn't get bitched at. Smiley

Its my understanding that if you get torify or proxychains to work, that you would only be able to make outgoing connections, but not have incoming connections. Sure, that would be a nice hack to serve our friends over at XMR, but is that the way you really want to run a hidden server? I've always had long term stability issues with proxychains/torify on my system, so I would probably just wait until XMR adds tor/i2p functionality before wasting your time.
this is a common thing people do wrong and get deanonymized. this only obfuscates your TCP/other connection. Lets say your software reads the IP on eth0 (the first interface) and its a publicly reachable IP. Now it connects over TOR and tells their real IP via the protocol of that software. And... your no longer anonymous.
Making something anonym means connecting not over clearnet and "cleaning" all the content that is sent out (sometimes even what comes in).

well well well ... don't worry guys, still bagholding ... just :-)

Sure am keen to get this new release;

my tor node for those that use tor is: anoncoinzxwp5d7k.onion

 Smiley

im sry, your setup dosnt work.
did you point port 9377 to your anoncoind? if not, you have to use the default port, which is 9377.
is anoncoind running? with -tor support?

Code:
nc -z -v -X 5 -x 127.0.0.1:9050 anoncoinzxwp5d7k.onion 9377
nc: connection failed, SOCKS error 4

PS: what happend with your last node?

Every Coin has big value nowadays since speculation. Some might connect it to Greece but who knows and who cares.
Bitcoin is only 3 Billion which is quite low in my eyes...

Concerning Anoncoin the price is way too high. No proof of Coding. I liked Anoncoin back then because one can follow the process that was being made, it was replicable. People buy when they see progress or when the price is being pumped by speculators ... what we see now is just pumping.

It's comparable to ShadowCoin and Librexcoin in every way.

I don't wanna fud and trash talk - to me it seems meeh left the project as well as GroundRod - The empty shell being the Anoncoin Wiki which is done very great though.

To newcomers - just be careful, like with every other coin.

Meeh is no longer contributing/doing anything in the project actively.
GroundRod on the other side is developing things, just not public.

Thanks to K1773R for mining these transactions. I have notified cryptsy support as well of this bug.

Here we go, faster than i expected Wink

2 questions:

First, how can we look up the size of a stuck transaction to see if its over 100kb?

Second, will the tx size limit issue be addressed with the new release so transactions will no longer get stuck for that reason?
1) $ anoncoind getrawtransaction <TXID> | wc -c
2) Yes, this will be addressed.

This is an actual 0.9.4.4 anoncoin wallet I'm styling. It not so bad but I just need to get rid of these ugly bitcoin tool bar icons, looks like they're hardcoded...
Don't mind the network state, I was not connected to the internet.

clearnet only? cmon!
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Syscoin - Business on the Blockchain ( New SuperNET Core Coin ) on: June 15, 2015, 04:15:32 PM
Just wanted to let everyone in here know about our dedicated staking hardware. Save electricity, and increase your coin's security, get them off of your home computer, and onto the StakeBox. Check it out at stakebox.com. Go ahead, get your long term support cred, buy the device meant to stake your coins for the long haul.

Seems expensive for a staker.
Half price and even better:  http://blockchaintechs.com/

Interesting, I never saw their product. At first glance it would seem that you are half right, it does initially appear to be half the price, not sure what you think makes it's better though. The half price appearance falls apart when you attempt to order one. First, it seems that there is no way to actually get one for $50. Clicking on the custom configured staker option the price quickly changes to $60, that will get you the staker with an 8 GB micro SD and one wallet of the 4 coins that you can select, it doesn't even include a case. It is hard to make an apples to apples comparison between this product and ours, as 2 wallets seems to be the most they allow for and they seem to charge $5 per wallet. The prices they list also don't include shipping, a power supply, or the ethernet cable we include with the StakeBox. The closest comparison would have to be their 16 GB staker with 2 custom wallets, a case, and US shipping comes to $93. Then you have to go get a power supply and ethernet cable, lets say you get those things for $7, which seems reasonably inexpensive, you are at $100, the same cost of our product. I would argue that the availability of more wallets, and the lack of a need to source the power supply and ethernet cable would make our product the better deal.

That said, I don't mean to bash their product. It's just that if you want to make a more objective comparison, there it is.
Huh, i bet its cheaper to just buy a RPi 2 (oh, did i ruin that? i guess ppl shouldnt know...) and the case you use. The Sticker wont be expensive...
If you really would be serious, you would post more informations.

Smells like scam, as usual.

173  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [1500 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 12, 2015, 05:59:24 PM
Hello everyone,

BIP66 implements a Bitcoin softfork which will take effect sometime between the next few days and the next few weeks. Miners that have not upgraded to Bitcoin Core >=0.10.0 will generate invalid blocks after that point.

Bitcoin softforks are handled within P2Pool by a corresponding fork which forces P2Pool users to upgrade to a newer version of P2Pool. In this case, the new version of P2Pool will require Bitcoin Core >=0.10.0 to start. This is facilitated by first getting 50% of the P2Pool hashrate to upgrade by external means (this forum and the mailing list below), upon which the "A MAJORITY OF SHARES CONTAIN A VOTE FOR AN UNSUPPORTED SHARE IMPLEMENTATION! An upgrade is likely necessary. Check http://p2pool.forre.st/ for more information." warning is displayed to the rest of the users, which hopefully quickly upgrade. Upon 95% of the hashrate having converted, the fork happens, and users that haven't upgraded are split off to mine in their own mini-P2Pool. I regret not taking action earlier; I hadn't been aware of the softfork until an email on the bitcoin-dev mailing list today.

So, a new P2Pool version will be released within the next day or two, once testing has finished. Users will be urged to upgrade here and on the p2pool-notifications mailing list (which I'd urge you to subscribe to now if you haven't). Without this P2Pool softfork, we will continue mining with an unknown number of users generating invalid blocks, which clearly isn't desirable.
When forking can you also fix the tx size? currently new txs included in blocks can only be 50kb max!

Hi all!

Posted some ANC from vircurex and the coins took several days to arrive at Cryptsy... The problem seemed to be slowness in the network (according to Cryptsy, as I never bothered to check the block chain). However, strange that the hashrate seems to be around the same as it has been for a while. What is the current situation, should it be OK to wait a few days or what do you think?

Its funny that cex.io/vircurex/oterhs work without problems Wink
AFAIK they still dont run it in I2PMode.
175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: June 11, 2015, 03:22:28 PM
So did anonmining.com close up and steal any coins you still had there? Can't seem to find an answer of what happened and their domain is expired now. I don't think there was any warning or anything...

And sorry to bring this up here but I think it's relevant as they had advertised in this thread earlier and were one of the better anoncoin pools IMO.
Use p2pool. You can mine at my public p2pool or setup your own (the one @ my github).
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: June 10, 2015, 08:50:34 PM
Just to be clear: Anoncoin is not a dead coin. We have a new lead developer, GroundRod, who has brought the code up to bitcoin 0.10 standards, and who has added many new features, such as a innovative PID difficulty retargeting algorithm (see https://wiki.anoncoin.net/Development_schedule). You can download/build the the develop branch on github to see for yourself. We are currently testing the PID algorithm on internal testnets.

But to get back to your original comment: Meeh has not given up on Anoncoin, but even if he did, the project would live on without him.

Sorry, maybe I was a bit harsh and you are right.

Development branch hasn't been altered since February 2015.
We don't see GroundRod coding^^ or getting the code up to 0.1 standards

not blame - just saying
You are right in not trusting us. All I can say is that if you look at your Anoncoin peers, you will see about three that are running 0.9.6.1. We are holding back on pushing the post 0.9.4 code to github as some of our developments, including real block hashes and PID retargetting, could be easily copied.

Of course, it would be easy to make some clients with fake version numbers if we wanted to pump and dump.

As i have stated before I think we should push the current 9.6.1 code to a public development branch. More transparency would be refreshing,

Im against this. A lot of people still run the oldest working release! If we release this now, people will get it and stop bothering getting the finished new version.
We could let everyone know that it is unstable. There hasn't been a lot of activity on GitHub in several months so I can empathize with the frustration within the community. what If we released screenshots of the new wallet? I think this could go a long way towards alleviating some of the concerns about progress members of the community may have.
Aslong the beta/WIP code isnt released, im fine with it.

Just to let others know, I tried again to build the develop-themes branch on Debian (9) stretch x86 (and I'm not in a VM) but this time I deleted every anoncoin directories and started all new. I did follow the instructions and did exactly what is told here https://wiki.anoncoin.net/How_to_build_Anoncoin_develop , except that I did 'git checkout develop-themes' in that case.
Unfortunately the last 'make' command still ends with the scrypt-sse2 error that I already posted, and no anoncoin programs are build.

So my next step is to install debian 8 (Jessie) in a VM and try again.
Sorry to flood here. Should I fill a bug report somewhere? can it be a problem with the chipset of my laptop?
Compiling has nothing to do with chipsets.

You can open a Issue on Github with all details you have.

Here is some info I got from Cryptsy angels:

Hi! What does the status "Pending Wallet/Network Fix" mean?

The status means that our technical team is still working on the issue and will let us know as soon as this is resolved. Basically we are now just waiting for them to either restore the coins or released to the blockchain. Any way, I will let you know as soon as I have an update from them regarding your concern. Thank you for your patience.

This was six days ago and 10 days since the failing withdrawal. However, I can recall something similar happened a year ago and I had to wait two months, but the coins DID show up after all. Cryptsy has never scammed in that sense, so I have the trust and I do not actually worry at all
The coins showed up because i helped them to get their tx's mined. same for some other exchanges.

Never scammed? Ok. give me 1000 ANC for 2 Months and i will give them back AND make money while doing so...
