Then do you have any explanation for the blockchain problem? The explanation is very simple. The difficulty for mining has jumped to 500 (not sure why, probably multipools?). It is going to take a long time to mine the next block. Nothing to worry about. Your talking about 8GHz but in fact you probably mean 8GHs which is something different. If there would be constantly 8GHs @ ANC, then we wouldnt have this situation. The current problem is that someone comes, mines some blocks and leaves again. I'd pressume you have some buy orders and want cheap coins, creating panic may help you to get this but it will hurt you too long-term. It looks strange to me..
No doubt that there is some heavy pressure on the Anoncoin price. It looks very strange to me... For all this work that is being done ... nothing! I mean, even if ZC gets implemented  will there be a significant rise? hm... debatable Can we change name to AnoncoinDark or something , maybe will be more volume and success : ) Obviously there is some group of ppl who support few coins and go from one to another to pump. A hypothetical question that does not necessarily have any ulterior motive; If Anoncoin switched hashing algorithm, what type of hashing algorithm would you liked to see then?

ASIC stands for Application-specific integrated circuit. The difference between GPU/CPU and ASIC, is that you are "hashing" in an "electrical way" without a layer wrapped around (ASM - CPU language, OS, etc). Because of this they are much more efficient, but they can only do what their build for. You can create an ASIC for everything u want. All you need is the money/ppl to design and create it. When scrypt (LTC) came out, it was ment to be CPU only. Someone found a way to parallelize the algorythm so mining with GPUs got possible. Later the scrypt based coins got really big so creating ASICs was worth it, now they exist since quite some time. It is possible to make something really hard to be implemented in an ASIC, but most of ppl who say this dont even understand what their talking about. They just say it as a marketing purpose. Agreed. Perhaps a different way to look at this is the following: how much time will it take for an ASIC of a particular algorithm to appear on the market? If you want to avoid centralization of mining, it seems to me that you are condemned to hard-fork to alternative proof-of-work algorithms every X years. The goal should therefore be to make X as large as possible, all while making the computational gains associated with ASICs vs CPUs as small as possible. You forgot one thing. Lets assume we have a new algoryithm which is currently CPU-only. Im porting it to GPU but dont release it to the public, so its easy to 51% attack the network for me. Someone else could created an ASIC in the meantime and therefre would have 51%+ more than me. ASIC is not "bad", its the opposite. Once ASICs are out, its hard to optimize more. Therefore there will be no sudden spike in hashrate. Of course it first needs time that enough ppl run ASICs, but afterwards its "safer". |

Looking for a solo gpu miner for a new coi that is quark a clone. The coin's wallet and cpu miner are combined and can be found here... https://github.com/MonetaryUnit/MUE-Qt/archive/master.zipI am an ancient c hobbyist crypto-currency noob and I am very slowly figuring out sgminer but this is by far the densest code I have tried to make sense of so forward progress is minimal at this point in the curve. Any assistance wold be greatly appreciated BTW the coin's name is Monetaryunit and its website is monetaryunit.org The coin's creators have a massive premine of something like 40 million coin and mining produces few coins presently but the coin supply is vast (4,000,000,000,000,000) and the in wallet cpu miner works well and is relatively easy to use so there is real potential for john and jane q public to possibly give it a try so I am gambling on the coin as a miner. if its a quark clone, you can just use sgminer and use the quark algo for it. no need for a new miner. |

If there is going to be a 2-Blockchain-Solution, I ask myself whether Exchanges are able to trade this Zerocoin separately?
I mean... ANC and this ZC are tied together as I understand this, since we would be able to exchange it with one another, right?

ZC trading would be stupid and probably wont work well. ZC is ment so you have anonymous transactions. The value is bound to ANC directly, its not a "new coin", "subcoin" or anything like this. Think of it as a token, if i "convert" 10 ANC to ZC, i have 10 ANC ZC tokens. Now i can redeem these 10 tokens to get 10 ANC back, but nobody knows which original 10 ANC it was, therefore its anonymous. |

What exactly did Kumala do, besides the VirCurEx fiasco?
VCX + C::S combination fiasco  Created VCX (vircurex) on cryptostocks, then he broke the contract and stopped paying dividends. Fractional Reserve @ VCX Stole/Froze funds of VCX users. Unfairly distributed the rest of the coins (top down 50% and down top 50%), so that the rich stay rich, the poor will still have their tiny poorness and all others loose everything. Hoping to result in less user being mad/affected... Not even to talk about no support for VCX nor cryptostocks, their mail servers are borked for months and they still give a fuck. It looks like you're using Linux yes? If so, here's a simple guide of how to get it working provided by user nonnakip: I spend several hours getting oclvanitygen working with AMD Radeon 7xxx on 64-bit Linux - Ubuntu 12.04 and Ubuntu 14.04. In the end only the following is needed: - Ubuntu drivers
- vanitygen patch
- 1 userspace library file from AMD APP SDK v2.7
I created a minimal instruction text file. the same or more. You dont use a public p2pool, you setup p2pool on a local machine. Mining on a remote p2pool is stupid and if you want to do this, you could just stick to the pool your already using. |

A better solution would be to encourage devcoin earners/holders/buyers to invest in businesses listed in dvc on something like crypto-stocks.
This would be good, I'd love to see more DVC listing on Cryptostocks. Cryptostocks is kinda dead due to the several scams pulled by Kumala. True, but its the only place for DVC listings. It would be even better if there was somewhere else. The problem is simple; why should/would someone invest with a platform of a known scammer? |

It seems that Cryptsy still have problem for withdrawing ANC. To withdrawal 3000 ANC I had to do 10 successive withdrawals. Only 1921 ANC have arrived now, four of the ten transactions sent were not included in a block yet (but I see them as unconfirmed in my ANC-qt). It seems the transactions are alot of small inputs and this increase the fee tremendously! Please Cryptsy can you do something to not have such a big number of < 1 anc inputs?? This become impossible to trade at you exchange if you do nothing about those hundreds of small inputs. My multipool operator sent earned ANC to me on August 18 at 2:01AM CDT, was not received and posted to my wallet until August 21 at 13:58 CDT. The multipool operator states: "The transaction hasn't been included in a block yet. It should make it into a block eventually and be confirmed. I have no control over this. It's been an ongoing issue with the ANC network for a few weeks now." That would seem to be a very strong negative against this coin.
