261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 31, 2024, 10:12:58 AM
Hahaha. This is very common amongst gamblers, especially gamblers who don’t have experience. I know the feeling very well because I have been there. When you lose $10, you put in a bet to win back what you lost and even extra so you’ll be ahead of the game, but that’s exactly when you continuously lose. Happened to me last year, I eventually had to make peace with my failure and accepted defeat. This is the reason why we need to have limits (rules and regulations) that will control what you do. If you already decided you can’t stake more than $10, that will always guide you to be in place.
Been there many times too. I keep learning but keep making the same mistake. I think it is the nature of us gamblers, hopefully not for most of us here. You gotta be a professional gambler in order for you to gamble emotionless, but how many of us here are professional? I don't even see even one poster that have claimed himself to be a professional gambler and have showed some proof on his claim.

@OP, just keep gambling and learn, do the process until you figure it out right in the end.

I don’t think you’ve been learning. Haha. You can’t make a mistake twice if you learn from the first mistake. By the second time, you should have known that this is how this happens. However, we are all humans and we have emotions which lets us fall easily, hoping that this time it’ll be better than the last. I don’t think it’s tied to being a professional gambler, I think that as long as you know to be disciplined and control your emotions, you can stop yourself from going further when needed to do so.

I guess it's easier said than that. Not everything in life can be easy to learn, especially in gambling where we invest a lot of emotions on what we are doing. We tend to be unrealistic sometimes and we want to deal with the challenge. Personally, I gamble a lot, makes mistake a lot of times but I'm proud to say that somehow I learn something, as long as I'm not bankrupt yet and gambling hasn't impacted my life so much, I think I'm still good to continue what I'm doing.
262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Your Thoughts on the Recent Crypto Price Drop on: January 31, 2024, 04:36:20 AM
During the last week the crypto world has been quite a ride with the price slump we've experienced. With Bitcoin and altcoins taking a notable dip on the 23rd, I'm curious to hear how everyone is coping and how it affected your investments and what your strategies are moving forward considering the upcoming halving.

For the veterans, is this just another cycle, or does it feel different this time? And for the newcomers, how are you handling your first major dip?

Also, how do you think this slump will affect the growth of Bitcoin and altcoins in 2024? Are you adjusting your strategies, or holding firm to your original plans?
Not all dumps or price corrections need to know the reason because it is pretty simple, the market has been driven by its volatile nature - it pumps and dumps all the time due to the changing demand and supply. Rumors and speculations are possibly rising but should have to keep everyone aware of it? We can't buy all of it but rather accept that the market goes in up-and-down directions no matter what.

Let us widen our understanding, the market is so volatile. That is why Holding is necessary in case there is a dump. And aside from that, every drop is an opportunity as well as the rise.
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gaurd yourself this year against crypto scams on: January 31, 2024, 03:16:21 AM
We're still not winning against them because their strategy is quite working so well. And no matter what we do scammers will continue to grow knowing that many still believe in xxx rewards in just a short period.

Spotting scam projects is not impossible and it is not hard but unfortunately, because of money, many will change and become blind to see the real intention. Scammers are extraordinary, they can manipulate us if we hear their words and so these newbies. But we should have to learn from our experience their hands, one time is enough but there is no more. That is why we should be smart in choosing a project to invest in, not the rewards but the legitimacy of the project.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You can not win if you do not risk on: January 30, 2024, 11:12:28 AM
Good day guys, how is the gambling industry helping you this period?
They bring fun and excitement to my life. my life would be boring without gambling,.  Smiley

However I just want to say that in the game world gamblers are always there to bet and the important thing here is when a gambler can not risk he also can not win, true or false?
Many might still believe that a gamblers who's just gambling at the first day might end up winning w huge amount of money that he wasn't expecting but the truth is that as long as you stake on bet you have already risk your money, be it big or small.

Whether you experience the what we called is beginner's luck or not, as long as you enjoy gambling you will love it. However, you also need to ensure that you are realistic with your approach, I mean, don't just gamble that you are too focus with the reward, rather, be realistic about the risk and your real chances of winning. Knowing those thing are very crucial as that will help you minimize the risk and getting you away from being out of control or getting addicted.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 30, 2024, 09:53:47 AM
Seriously? Are these individuals composed of mma fans and voters with little boxing knowledge? Anyhow, only wager small sums or do not wager at all in this match because you will see the absolute annihilation of Ngannou.

Ngannou is simply riding his fame in light of his contested loss to Fury. But in my opinion, he cannot win a boxing match even at the degree of Joshua which is inferior compared to Fury. Joshua will have great preparations because in his mentality he can demonstrate that he can be better than Fury.

That's your opinion though, just like other opinion, it has to be respected. AJ has became a champion, loss and now trying to be back at the top again, he certainly is the favored to win here for that reason. Ngannou on the other and was popular due to his fight with Fury, he lose but people though he won, that's just it, he has never proven it yet so he is not likely to win, and bookies would agree with that, however, they are not right all the time, so they could also be wrong this time.
Bookies make him the underdog just like his fight with Fury. of course, they will do that as AJ is a pro and has been fighting in boxing for years and has won a championship while Ngannou just recently came on the picture after a stellar performance against Fury, but this time it's either he lose or win convincingly. His hype will be over as soon as he got 2 L in his boxing record and AJ's journey towards the championship fight will continue.

What I'm waiting to see here is on how AJ would beat Ngannou who is a monster on the ring, he might not have the kind of quickness or IQ on boxing champions, but boy, he got some power that when he would able to knockout his opponent, I don't know if AJ would recover.

I'm pretty sure that AJ is well aware of Ngannou's power, and he's been down many times, he knew the feeling, so he'll sure learn from his mistakes and come out more mature and take it easy to beat Ngannou.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: January 30, 2024, 06:38:44 AM
We can't have financial freedom from just working alone but it can be found from having multiple sources of income. But it does not just stop there, we also have to learn financial literacy as this will help us with wise spending habits. Because it was useless and we still got empty even though we had multiple sources of income if we were spending too much. A wise person spends money on money multiplier stuff, not on things that have just gone into thin air.

Following a successful businessman is a good idea. We are not aiming to be as rich as them but at least we are doing similar things that they did.
267  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: January 30, 2024, 06:14:26 AM
Don't mind that it was just like asking why many people had failed from investing in Bitcoin.
Well, it is sad to say that not all are meant for this field. It doesn't mean that if we have deep knowledge of trading we can be successful already because many factors that could affect our journey
 - emotion dealings
 - financial stability
 - strategies

Understanding the risk in trading, some will give up after encountering difficulties and losses. Much more if we already just have limited funds, it is really hard to recover.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is King on: January 29, 2024, 12:18:28 PM
Yes, it is true that Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency because the rise in Bitcoin influences the movement of other cryptocurrencies.
As a Bitcoin user, I bought this cryptocurrency at the lowest price, then sold it when the price skyrocketed. If the application of this strategy is correct, then digital assets can become an additional asset investment.
The is no argument on that which says, bitcoin is the president of all the cryptocurrencies in the ecosystem. And what make bitcoin to be the king is that all other coin are moving under bitcoin and whatever direction bitcoin goes other cryptocurrencies follow. And the best time to buy bitcoin is the time when the price is low and not when the price is high. Please whenever you planning to do with the investment of bitcoin thick and calculate well.
Granting that Bitcoin is the top among cryptocurrencies but I'm still wondering why many people have not appreciated it as they are still looking for cheap and shitcoins. Perhaps, it was been proven and tested so many times and despite the unbearable dump and market crisis still, it recover. There is no losing upon investing in Bitcoin unless there is a problem with our strategies because no matter if it is known profitable but we are too impatient and have no control of our emotions, we still lose in the end. Faith and trust are necessary for crypto investment.
269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When I'm emotional, I LOSS! on: January 29, 2024, 06:50:04 AM
When I was just starting with gambling, I found it difficult to control my feelings. It made me deposit some money to continue betting. But that is not a good solution because the amount of money is just lost again. Yes, it was a problem, so I started learning to control my feelings. I know it will affect my gambling activities if I can't control it.

I started to apply limits when gambling and tried to stop when I experienced a losing streak. Whatever the amount of loss, that is what I can afford and I have no intention of depositing any more money. However, we have to know our limits when playing gambling so that we don't lose a lot of money.

You don't need to think it is a challenge because gambling is entertaining. When you lose, you should try to stop gambling. Don't think about depositing any more money because it doesn't guarantee you can win. There is still tomorrow to gamble so save your energy for that tomorrow.

I'm glad you were able to learn how to be stable with your decision in the end. Actually, it's hard at the very beginning but you'll eventually learn if you are willing to accept your mistakes. It mostly starts with betting an amount that is big enough compared to your budget, this is isn't bankroll but per bet.

Take it for example. if you are a gambler and you bet $10 ( feel okay) and bet $100 (feel nervous). We should choose $10 as you are comfortable in accepting the outcome of your bet, even if it losses.
270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Older men vs Younger boys in gambling, Which enjoys Gambling for fun the more? on: January 26, 2024, 02:56:59 PM
I started gambling when I was still young until now. Maybe I'm already gambling for 20 years and I can say that I'm already old now, lol. But I'm still enjoying gambling. The only difference now is the financial situation I am in is that I am more stable compared to when I was younger.

My bets also change, before when I was young, I could bet like $5 to $10 and I'm already happy, now it increase to the level of $50 to $500 per bet, and that I would be able to find the excitement in gambling, and just like other gamblers too, I also feel upset temporarily when I lose.
271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 26, 2024, 02:31:05 PM
Since Indiana Pacers acquired Pascal Siakam, they've been into losses. That's to be expected as there's not going to be easy chemistry with every transfer.
~
Well, they just won against the Sixers, and he put a triple-double 26-13-10
We are intelligent enough to know that whenever there are changes in the team, chemistry will be affected and the Pacers are no different. I expect that their chemistry will get affected in the first few games, but they have Haliburton to lead the team. A lowkey big 3 of Siakam, Haliburton and Turner? Cheesy

We will see tomorrow if they have already figure out how to win against a tough team. They beat the Sixers which is a tough team but one win is not enough. They'll be hosting the Suns tomorrow on the same venue they domiante the Sixers, let's see if they can stop the win streak of this hot Phoenix Suns.

What is left of them these days is hard to watch.
They fought hard to come back and stay in the game and in the final minute they blow it yet again.

In the past GSW matches were so much fun to watch but these days it's just sad.  Cry

Well, that's just how they are and this time their luck didn't reach the final score as Curry's decision didn't go well on that last possession. That's why he is no longer the starter on all-stars this season because he seems not to have the best moment of his life in the NBA recently. And they cannot make some good play anymore after they lose Jordan Poole and it seems like they are a broken team two even though Klay is fine and playing well. This might be the start of their downfall unless they make some huge adjustments in the future.

Gone are the days that the Warriors are exciting to watch. All they have now is struggle in the game, especially in the 4th quarter which they are suppose to dominate in the past. They also lose their 3rd quarter dominance as there are some games where they aren't dominating anymore and sometimes they are the ones who are being dominated in the 3rd quarter.
272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 26, 2024, 07:27:08 AM

Desperation is one of the steps to a temporal downfall of anybody, though why we many of us are into crypto investment is because of the fact that it is a profit-oriented investment but many people has gone extreme in this business, the keep searching for new project or projects that they will invest to make fast money but forgetting that before you invest in any project you have to know the authenticity of such project before investing your funds in it, this the reason why I always advocate for bitcoin investment, if someone is ready for investment, the best you can do for yourself is to invest in bitcoin and you have to do this with the strategy that suits your plan in other not be in pressure.
Most of us just jump into crypto investment thinking they could make money right away and I can't blame them either because that was been spread by these fake influencers. Most of the investors got scammed of what they thought about crypto.

We can see people are looking for a gem but sadly, they fall into shitcoins. The results of our investment depend on what coins we choose and of course, the knowledge we have. More and more people suffer losses from their wrong perceptions about crypto investment and many people have failed by following these social media influencers.
273  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with bots on: January 26, 2024, 06:18:19 AM
I am doing scalping with 1 minute chart and I see a big rejection candle at 22.21 london time for most alcoins, also for btc...how do you guys interpret this?
My guess is the trading with the altcoins is done most by bots...
Any tips on how I could learn to automate my trading with bots?

Your guess is wrong. If you want to succeed in trading, then make a habit of relying on yourself not these bots. Because it was useless to use bots if you don't have a deep knowledge about trading, you end up failing. That is why don't wonder about the results because you are not totally ready for this. Gain more experience and knowledge first before thinking about profit as it will be easy someday if it is all done. And even that we still never assume that we can never lose. We have to understand the unpredictable nature of the market which is why we can't make it perfect even though we are in trading for many years.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 25, 2024, 02:02:21 PM
If you are watching the game you might feel the thrill because Cavaliers came back from a huge deficit and they were able to reduce the lead of the Bucks to 6 points only in the 4th quarter IIRC. At the beginning, it looks easy since they are in control with 20 points margin, but you know the Cavaliers, they are on a hot streak and they know how to come back, good thing the 3 point shooting save them this game.

Well done @ralle14, another win to be listed. CASHED!

The Bucks spread (-6.5) is nice against the Cavs who are currently on their 8th win streak. One part worth noting is that most of the wins the Cavs had recently came from teams they're expected to beat like the Wizards, Hawks, and Nets. The Bucks did lose in their meeting last week, but that was when they didn't have Giannis, and assuming Giannis will be on the lineup, they should have the edge.

Even though the Bucks are likely to win, they're as bad as the Suns if we're talking about the spread, so this one could still go either way.

I like to ask if anybody here were able to bet on Suns live when they are down like 15 points or more, what was the moneyline odds at that time?
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 25, 2024, 12:28:39 PM
That would be a big treat for the boxing fans if we will ever see a Davis vs Haney fight. It's power versus a defensive fighter, we will see which fighter will win. But the fact that Davis are not agreeing with the fight yet AFAIK, that only tells that he understands how risky the fight with Haney is. He wants to maintain his undefeated record by fighting a boxer that he thinks he has an advantage.
That could happen as promoter are willing to fund that big fight since they are sure they can be profitable with their investments. But if one boxer which I think Davis does not agree with the terms (his excused) then the fight will never be realize. So far, Haney's journey is more interesting as he is moving up and he not afraid to fight anyone, whether he is the one challening or the opposite thing.

Many are claiming that they are better than Pacman but they are wrong because all they care now is their undefeated record, that's why promoters would not like them if they can't bring a big fight where fans aren't sure which side will win.

Mayweather's style could be a model that most of the undefeated boxers are following. It's just a business on their side as well, and they need to protect their investment as a loss might also result to decline of value. Look at what happened to Ryan Garcia, he tooked a tougher challenger and now his value have dropped.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Crypto scammers creating traps to break the system security on: January 25, 2024, 11:37:02 AM
Having good knowledge and technology development are great but somehow, it was also a threat to our security and privacy. Online wallets become vulnerable to hacking, every single mistake we make can lead to emptying our wallet address. That is how development and advanced technology come the wrong way. I'd rather get back to those times when people were not knowledgeable about programs as they couldn't think about hacking and stealing people but now, it was a weapon used and seemed easy for them to fulfill what they wanted.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: January 24, 2024, 08:10:31 AM
That was quite a close call, congratulations!

Brooklyn Nets were supposed to call timeout after the second missed throw from Jalen Brunson with about 18 seconds plus left to play but the coach allowed time to run off the clock and that was definitely to their disadvantage as the Knicks were able to set up a defensive play, even with 18 seconds and down 3 they could have gone for a quick 2, and play the long game.
When Brunson missed that second free throw, my heart sank thinking the Nets would spoil the spread and i'm glad they couldn't get one in. Grin
I'm thinking on the opposite possibility as I had Brooklyn +4.5. When the lead was 3 for the Knicks, all they need to do is to bring the game to overtime, and if they'll win they'll foul, that was I expected and it did happen. 2 FT from Randle, clutch shooter, I was hoping he'll miss at least 1 so my bet would win.

Props to the Nets player who made an unnecessary foul in the last three seconds after they missed that shot.
I think they are still suppose to fight, it would not be justifiable if they will just let it go and accept the lose without fighting.
But that's just my personal opinion though, and I could be wrong.
278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can AI Games Break Through in Crypto? on: January 24, 2024, 06:42:05 AM

So, what do you think? Can AI pave the way for a new era of engaging and rewarding crypto games?
AI projects are quite popular this time but can't rush into it. It can be possible there is hype that will happen but when it comes is still uncertain this time. We'd better wait for that event just to have some assurance rather than taking the risk for nothing.
Research still matters a lot and keeping updated on social media will also help. But we need to be cautious knowing that new projects are not reliable, invest wisely, and keep updated. It is an opportunity but can also bring disaster if it falls into the wrong projects.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any good explanation to this dip on: January 24, 2024, 04:05:29 AM
We never thought of experiencing the current situation as we think that ETF approval would increase demand yet, volatility seems to be more influential and it cuts the hype turning low again. Should we have to panic? No, instead buy more and get ready for the halving impact. I even see halving could drive more pumps than ETF approval.

We just calm down, the volatility of the market is real. It pumps for some reason unknowingly, the same thing happens when it dumps. But if we can hold, nothing we lose.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 23, 2024, 01:56:53 PM
Yes, there is nothing we can do about slot machines because the game is completely based on luck, all we can do is switch machines when the spins don't feel good.
A kind of game to play if we want to have fun, but should be done with limits since there's a big house edge in this game which means we will never win in the long run. Some people win in slots, but it's for s short run only, they should enjoy while it last because the moment they'll take it seriously, that's when they'll start ot be frustrated as the law of average will fall which the edge is not on our favor.

Poker is not entirely about luck but how we can play on the opponent's emotions so that he fold before opening his cards. Apart from that, we also have to be patient waiting to get good cards before deciding to bet. I like playing poker with large enough capital so that we can put pressure on our opponents. When the balance is low we often can't apply pressure and just wait for the cards to be really good before placing a bet.

When you are playing poker, you should focus with your strategy. Maybe there's a little luck factor since we can't read cards here unlike with blackjack game. However, it's just a matter of mindset, we have to trust ourselves that our skills will make us profitable. I'm sure we know poker players who are successful winning millions of dollars in poker, that's because of their skills, not luck.
