2661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power companies should mine bitcoins on: January 03, 2015, 01:13:45 AM
Well, the extra-energy can be stored and sold later. I think that it isn't profitable mining bitcoin with this extra-energy because of the high price of the ASICs (and the maintenance). Not only free electricity is necesary to mine bitcoin, it's necesary a investment in machines and space.

Bye Tongue

Storing it, hilarious.  That was a good one, storing it, you're cute.
2662  Economy / Speculation / Hypothetical price collapse and massive farms failure. on: January 02, 2015, 10:28:04 PM
Lets stay the price drops to.. I dunno $40(please do not debate if some epic price fall is possible, not the point of the thread)

What do you think would happen if the massive farms were forced to shutdown due to the price falling apart?

Besides the hashrate dropping..

2663  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Run Due For January According To Analysts on: January 02, 2015, 04:11:22 PM

We act like we don't mace protestors then force them into a 3 x 3 x 1 square foot steel box for 5 hours to "calm them down"...  Our anti protest actions are just as sick.

Division and multiplication are different.

2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did pools scare Satoshi away? on: January 02, 2015, 05:05:55 AM
I suppose if only 5-10 pools existed for miners to choose from BTC could become monopolized by those pools if they all worked together.. Humz..

BTC is the best way to ensure no one steals your visa info online..  What I mean is why wouldn't you use bitcoin over visa to protect your identity from theft..?

2675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are the fools, lunatics... on: December 23, 2014, 08:51:59 PM
250,000 piano tuners in Canada? LOL. I doubt that there is 250,000 pianos. What a fucking idiot.

This... I highly doubt there are even 250,000 pianos in my country..  I know more people that have BTC then have a piano..
2676  Other / Off-topic / Re: Total Recieved 500,000+ BTC on: December 23, 2014, 08:49:33 PM
25374 transactions

25374 x 0.0001 (tx fee): 2.5374

They lost 2.5374 to Bitcoin transaction fees. Ouch.

"Lost"?! If they were depositing and withdrawing from a bank those fees would be 100x greater.

Like stated before how do we know they do not have miners and are verfiying the transactions themselves..

Proof?
2678  Economy / Speculation / Re: BULL RUN has intitiated!! BITCOIN to EXPLODE. Now @ $333 to $335 on: December 23, 2014, 08:36:18 PM
@jaredboice , I highly recommend you view Athenes youtube video about the theory of life the universe and everything.  Being able to control emotional responses will give you the ability to go very far in life and see things from many points of view.  Almost all humans are completely controlled by emotional responses they are all so arrogent to believe they are not.  I know I have had many emotional responses and I know I will have many more.

Ever since watching that youtube video the second matrix with the marvichian(however you spell it) has to be one of my fav parts of that series now.  We truly are completely out of control.

Fewcoins seems to be a trader, no love or hate for bitcoin merely just a trader.  When he sees a horrible down trend and the entire forum refuses to believe him and makes fun of him you should not blame him for getting angry.  It would appear fewcoins has seen a change in trends, this should be a bullish sign.
2679  Economy / Speculation / Re: I am finally buying on: December 23, 2014, 07:28:10 PM
I'm going to buy back when it's under 50$  Smiley

No, no you will not.
2680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How are doomsday preppers using BTC in their plans? on: December 23, 2014, 05:59:43 PM
Well, I live in a country, where things {politics} are very volatile and I will have to have a backup plan, to move to another country, with only the shirt on my back, if the shit hits the fan.

What Bitcoin allows me to do, is to have access to "startup" money, when I have to move in a hurry.

In most cases, when countries go to war, the banks close, and the government can even order banks to froze accounts. In this type of scenario you do not have access to your own money.
I only need to have access to a piece of paper with the private key.... or the key encrypted in online storage or within online text on online blogs or emails etc etc.. {We all have our own ways of hiding things on the internet}

Worst case, you only have to remember the pass phrase ..... in your head.

So you do not need a Doomsday scenario, just a country, where you might not be welcomed or be at war, and you have to flee with your family.  Angry

That right there is reason BTC is utterly amazing.  F U harper, suck my nuts you cannot have my wealth.
