Proof generally isn't required. Plan on losing your mining hardware as well, unless you want to claim it, then it's owner is no longer in doubt, is it? In many companies office supply "theft" is better tolerated at a small scan than Bitcoin mining. Well OBVIOUSLY if he claimed the hardware was his they'd know it was him.......................................................... why in the shits would someone do that.. If your private keys are on a computer which is connected to the internet, your bitcoins are not safe.
Create and store your private keys on an air-gapped machine (a computer which will never be connected to the internet). I recommend Armory's software to accomplish this task (it allows for offline transaction signing, so you have some convenience with your security).

Bitcoin is multiplied by division.
There will come a time when people will no longer think in Bitcoin as whole numbers. At that stage Bitcoin will be infinitely divisible, the difference being that those who invests early enough to have whole bitcoins will have their quota go up in value, rather than lose value simply because people want more bitcoin.
