2701  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Bitcoin vs. Alts 2021 on: November 19, 2021, 01:41:36 PM
2702  Local / Off-Topic (Deutsch) / Re: Cannabis wird jetzt legalisiert on: November 19, 2021, 01:11:17 PM
2703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is burning coins good on: November 18, 2021, 10:00:02 AM
This comes as a surprise to me, I wasn't aware that there are projects that burn crypto coins on purpose. This is a bit crazy, because supply shortage will drive the price upwards but usually not if it's artificially created. How do we really know that the coins are not accessible anymore? Maybe they just wait for higher prices to dumb their coins. A limitation in the total amount of a crypto coin is a good thing, like we are seeing with bitcoins. But if the creators of a projected wanted such supply limits, why wasn't the coin created in such a way. Maybe I am to critical, but I would very cautious to buy more coins if the are being burnt.
2704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start somewhere on: November 18, 2021, 09:48:11 AM
Starting point is a big challenge when it comes to Investment. There are people who find it difficult to start up an investment because what they have is not large. Start your investment with the little you have it will go a long way.

Expectations to have something big to start maybe delayed. Do you know what point you would have reached if you had started with the little which you afford?

I fully agree with you that timing is very everything when it comes to investing. Having invested a few months earlier in a project can make a huge difference in our profits. Unfortunately we can't turn back time, thinking about the past and what could have been is not fruitful for our future. That is why I try to avoid thinking about how much money I would have earned if I had invested earlier. This is not always possible when you see the price chart, especially for bitcoins. We should focus more on the future if possible and learn from our mistakes in the past. So even if we only have a small amount to invest we should atleast buy some coins today, otherwise we might miss out on the next rally again.
2705  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: November 18, 2021, 09:28:52 AM

More than Half of the life span of the human race is centred on making of money or wealth.

Making money legally or illegally, accumulating of wealth is the believe of most people in the world.

I stand to be corrected or cencitize

I don't agree with your last part. You are right that everybody spends most of his life working and making money, but this doesn't come from the desire to become rich. It's rather that money is necessary in our society, without it we couldn't pay rent or buy food. We all need money to survive. However there is a difference between having a good life and trying to become rich. If money would be our main goal in life then why do we take days off work, and why don't we have jobs on weekends? I believe that most of us strive for a good work life balance. Humans are not made to work 24/7, we need time with friends and family to regenerate our batteries. There are more important things in life than money.
2706  Economy / Economics / Re: Introducing a state-issued cryptocurrency on: November 18, 2021, 09:15:28 AM

I think its a good decision by government.. What you guys think about it?

It's a hard question for me to answer. On the one side I can understand governments who don't want to give up their control over the monetary system. Losing control over the supply of money can be problematic if the country relys heavily on debt. All the politicians are aware of the crypto boom and would like to profit of it without giving up control. For the government it seems like a good idea to issue a state controlled crypto coin. But on the other side are the investors who need to decide if they want to use the new crypto coin. For me the attractiveness of crypto currencies is the independence from government. I am not looking for government controlled crypto projects, because we never know desperate a country might be in the future. I think there will be more investors looking did independent projects with no government influence.
2707  Local / Off-Topic (Deutsch) / Re: Geimpft / Ungeimpft on: November 17, 2021, 10:11:33 AM

2708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin run up is coming on: November 17, 2021, 09:46:46 AM

I don't have the balls to buy bitcoin right now.

But if you are balsy... then you now know what to do.

Isn't it always like that, we need to have a strong belief on bitcoins to be buying right now. I agree with you that inflation is a strong driver of the crypto prices right now. Saving money at the bank or in bonds is a very bad invest right now, all the purchasing power of low risk investments is going to disappear. In the end we need to decide if we want to go for cryptos, stocks or gold. For me this is a no brainer, stocks are already being bought by my retirement fund and I don't want to put all my money in stocks, as for gold is not a good investment anymore. Gold is already so expensive, its much better to go for cryptos. Crypto currencies are the gold of the 21th century.
2709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nebraska, Gambling might be too expensive for casinos on: November 17, 2021, 09:19:48 AM
1 million for a casino license sounds a lot compared to the cheap licences from small tax havens. The thing with licences is that they are usually in relation to the potential income the casinos can expect when it comes to larger countries like the USA. Supply and demand plays a big role for the cost of the license. I don't think Nebraska is a big gambling market, usually people go to Las Vegas or Atlanta for gambling. So opening up a new casino can attract a lot of local people who didn't have the chance before to go gamble close to their home. For a successful casino 1 million is not so much. A few high rollers could generate that income alone.
2710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy to carry on making money when Bitcoin turns bearish on: November 16, 2021, 09:34:45 AM
Once bitcoins turn bearish it will be very hard to make a profit with our coins. Professional daytraders will be able to keep making money in a downward trend, but I am more of a HODL investor when it comes to bitcoins. The problem with a bear market is that if we buy and sell too much we might miss the next rally. Prices can move very quickly in the crypto markets, not being invested can us miss out on profits. In my opinion we should turn towards other crypto currencies when bitcoins are bearish. There are so many crypto projects out there that are independent of Bitcoins. Investing in some new crypto projects until we get another bull market, can help us to make some money while our BTC are tanking.
2711  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon -- Milton Friedman on: November 16, 2021, 09:19:47 AM
I fully agree with this statement. Inflation is being created by the government due to their monetary policies. Officially the inflation target is 2% in most countries, but I believe that the government's have a hidden target that is much higher. When it comes to inflation the politicians don't care about the little guy who loses all his purchasing power. Its all about the benefits of the indebted countries. With a higher inflation the government has to worry less about repaying their debt, because all newly issued debt will be more valuable. Also we shouldn't forget that the central banks are very reluctant to increase the interest rates. With rates near 0% it was just a matter of time to see inflation rates above 4%.
2712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need advice regarding buying on: November 16, 2021, 08:18:13 AM

What are you guys currently doing ? Still buying at 65-68k ? Waiting a for a while ?

Thank you all, and have a great day !

At the moment I am not buying any bitcoins anymore, this is not due to the high price we have right now but rather due to some issues in real life that makes it very hard to spend any money right now. In our house we discovered some problems with the roof and need to completely renovate it. The costs look extremely high, we will need to take out a loan. That is why I am saving every penny I have right now for the repairs.
If I had money to spend I would still be buying bitcoins at the current prices. While the levels at the moment seem high, once we reach 100,000 USD we could feel bad again for not buying. The best strategy for buying bitcoins at these levels is to spread out your money and divide for different month. You could be buying bitcoins every two weeks for the next few month and get a better average price due to the fluctuations.
2713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to store your keys? on: November 15, 2021, 07:11:22 PM
Crypto investors are turning to Military grade vaults to safeguard their Keys. While some prefer to know the Keys by heart, some have their crypto stash in physical dedicated crypto wallets like Trezor and pay big money to have them stored in Nuclear sheltered safe vaults. Take for instance Swiss Crypto Vault who offers Nuclear sheltered vaults to crypto investors. if you had 2000 bitcoins what options would you pick?

2000 Bitcoins is a lot, owning more than 100 million USD in bitcoins is crazy. If I had so much money I would probably sell some immediately and diversify the money into some alt coin projects and real estate projects. Having 99.9% of your net worth in one asset is very risky. It would be better to own a company, some apartments and have a well diversified portfolio then just bitcoins.
But let's say you want to keep the money in bitcoins and don't care about the price risk. Then spreading out the coins across multiple wallets would be the first step. Instead of having 1 wallet with 2000 bitcoins, I would rather have 20 wallets with 100 bitcoins. The best methods I read here on the forum are storing the seed on metal plates and then burrow the plates in your garden. Digging 20 holes might be a bit much, so getting a few private boxes at different banks would be the best solution for me. With so much money you could probably buy the whole swiss military bunker for yourself. But do you really want to store your coins so far away? What if you need to access your bitcoins quickly. I would rather have my coins stored closer to home. But I guess if you own bitcoin worth of 140 million USD you can fly any time you want to Switzerland.
2714  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: November 15, 2021, 06:51:58 PM

2715  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: November 15, 2021, 06:14:28 PM

To many things happened in 2 decades :
Terrorists attacks / Wars on Terror / Arab spring  / SARS / Climate Change / Covid / Global trade problems  and so on ...

Before 2001 life was normal ...does how are older remember ... now they are not even hidding it / no longer in the shadows what they are trying to do ...

Is it just to take peoples freedom for the "greater good" ?  Will people allow their freedom to be taken ?

I don't think that banks are going to die in the next few years. It's been 20 years since 2001 and many bad things happened, but so did it in the time before. Maybe there were less terror attacks before 2001, but there were other bad things like wars too. I don't really understand how banks are being the problem here. Without banks all the things would have happened as well. Saying that it's the banks fault for us losing our freedom is wrong in my opinion. Most of us already gave up their freedom by using all the social media in todays world. The big companies are getting all our personal information for free. Who knows how much of our pictures and messages are being stored on some servers.

2716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A positive evaluation of gambling. on: November 15, 2021, 11:20:15 AM
This is a good summary of positive things we can learn from gambling. It's nice to focus not always on the bad things and the risk involved in gambling. We all know about the problems of gambling addiction. For me there are quite a lot of similarities between gambling and trading. In both cases risk management is very important, there are always opportunities to make money, but we need to minimise our risks. Only if we protect us from going broke can we build up profits over time.
The same goes for managing our emotions. Both in gambling and trading do we need to keep our expectations on check. Only focusing on the potential money we can earn, will limit our point of view. Like you said, cutting our losses and moving on is very important. For that we should remain open minded. If we learn these skills in gambling and can apply them later in trading, we can take away the best things in these worlds. Learning to evaluate and live with risks is important for many things in life.

2718  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto for the development of local farmers...can.....? on: November 14, 2021, 08:14:08 AM
I didn't follow the agriculture crypto coins much, but it seems there was no big breakthrough yet. Farmers are usually not very technical people, so it might be hard for them to fully understand crypto currencies. Without the understanding it will be hard to get them involved with new projects. The question I would ask is, why should the coins only be limited to the agricultural sector? All types of crypto coins can offer values for business, wouldn't it be better to go for a more generic project that can be used by many different business. There are sectors who would profit strongly from their own crypto project, but it always comes down to the number of investors and who would actually use it. Having a special crypto coin for farmers, manufacturers, and other essential business should create a lot of demand. Limiting the scope of new projects to a niche area can make it become forgotten very fast.
2719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to see Bitcoin legal in your country? on: November 14, 2021, 08:04:54 AM
In my country bitcoins are still legal and I hope its going to stay like this. The rising number of countries talking about banning crypto currencies makes me worry a bit. It wouldn't even need to be a ban, already strong regulations on bitcoins and other cryptos could be very bad for us. Special tax regulations would be on issue that makes investors scared to invest more in crypto. My dream for the future in my country would be for bitcoins to become a legal tender used by the Central Bank. For example, if we could choose to pay taxes in bitcoins or receiving any government funds in bitcoins in stead of fiat would be awesome. It's steps like that, that would mark the new era of cryptos. Once larger countries, not only El Salvador and Cuba, switch to bitcoins, we could finally move away of a financial system that is only based on fiat money.
2720  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Mein Crypto-Rebalancing-Bot on: November 12, 2021, 10:41:22 AM
