1841  Economy / Economics / Re: UK inflation to top 18% in early 2023 on: September 10, 2022, 01:49:50 PM

Its strange to see these headlines lacking commentary on the internet. No one appears to be scrambling to mitigate rising energy costs. It seems as if many will be caught unprepared and unaware by it.

Should more steps be taken to address this?

I also find it strange that there is no stronger focus on the inflation now. This week with the death of the Queen nobody will look at evomics, but before there should have been more pressure to fix the economic outlook. The next two weeks will be public mourning and not much else happening. Eventually the inflation rate needs to be brought down, you can't have double digit inflation rates for a longer period of time. If things get worse this could lead to a spiral and bring inflation out of control. Finding a new government probably also didn't help. But the good thing is UK still has it's own currency and react freely now without worrying about the EU.
1842  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: September 10, 2022, 08:13:08 AM

1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 10, 2022, 07:13:02 AM

It's just been confirmed what was already widely known that Jake will be fighting former UFC fighter Anderson Silva. I'm not really sure this is any tougher than Tyron Woodley given Silva's age but it won't be a push over either. Personally I was hoping Jake would get the Tommy Fury fight sorted but I guess we'll have to wait for that now. Hopefully Jake fights a true boxer after this because people won't stop complaining that he's only fighting washed up fighters way past their prime and that isn't going to change with this bout given Silva is pushing 50.

I am definitely hyped about this match. Anderson Silva is a legend. He was the first real MMA fighter I followed and watched most of his matches live on TV. Never will I forget the evening where Anderson Silva was fighting Vitor Belfort. Staying up the whole night because the match was really early in the morning, we were watching the MMA fights before the main event and got drunk while being so excited for the Silva match. When the knock out happened so fast we got completely crazy, there was no sleep possible that night. The fight now vs Jake Paul is nice because we can see Anderson again in action. I am a little bit concerned about the age difference as Anderson was already too old for his last few professional fights. And then there is the part where they only fight in a box match. I understand that Jake Paul is a boxer and wants to meet his opponents on his turf, but why not make a rematch in their profession? It would be way more interesting if the first match was in the box ring and the second match in the octagon.
1844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Huge Down from ATHs. what will happen the next ? on: September 10, 2022, 06:40:40 AM

Despite that we all are hoping for a market recovery as soon as possible, I’m afraid that there’s no exact timetable for us to see that. Even the “BER” months won’t guarantee or promise us about the recover, as most of us are having a mindset about bull runs in the Q4 of every year. However, that is not always the case.

Right now is not the time to worry about ATH in my opinion. We are in a completely different world in 2022 than we were in back in 2021. Times have changed with the Russia Ukraine war, global economic downturn and rising inflation rates. Also many people don’t speak about it, but we are still fighting with covid. The virus keeps mutating and the vaccines are not effective anymore in stopping the spread. I keep hearing about people who are 4th vaccinated and still get infected with the new variants. That is why the Bitcoin and other crypto prices can't be at their ATH again with all that uncertainty in the world. What is happening next are we seeing right now, the bitcoin price is moving around the 20k USD barrier. It rises up a few weeks only to bounce back down again. Long term we will see another bull market and hopefully new ATH in the next year, but right now I think prices will remain pretty much constant with a high volatility in the market.

Really sad to BIG losing to Outsiders 2-0 this week and the game wasn't even close. I kind of expected more of them, but they don't seem to be in the best shape this tournament. Still for todays game against FTW it should be a clear win, FTW seems like the weakest team this series. The most anticipated game today is going to be FaZe vs G2, both teams won their first 3 matches and they will settle who is going to be first in group B. FaZe is so strong this year that I should bet on them for tonight, but G2 didn't lose a single map so far. FaZe lost 1 map against MiBR and Outsiders whereas G2 2-0 all  their matches. I will go a bit risky today and bet on G2 for tonight with 2.4 it's also a nice payoff if they manage to win. For tomorrow I will only bet on the FaZe vs BIG game, should be a sure win for FaZe.
1846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Multiplayer Gaming in Gambling Industry on: September 10, 2022, 06:17:53 AM

Question in hand
What do you think is the effect of enhancing Multiplayer Gaming implementation in the Gambling industry?

Multiplayer gaming is very important in todays world. The world changed a lot since the covid pandemic, many things we used to do in groups with friends we are doing now at home alone. Like you said, it's important to create communities online and give a sense of companionship to each other. That is why the streaming industry saw such a huge boost recently.  There is demand for more interaction among gambler, if you check on Twitch there are thousand of people who watch gambling streams regularly. The problem is that most of the casino games are designed to be played alone against the house, and not against other human players. Poker is a exception here, but it's hard to master poker and become profitable. You can't just sit down a few days a month and enjoy online poker if you don't have a good strategy. Over the years online poker became so competitive and it's also not really multiplayer experience. I think that virtual reality will have a big step towards more multiplayer gaming in the gambling industry. It offers so many possibilities to better engage with other players. For example, the casino could show us with avatars all sitting at the same roulette table and speak to each other while the game is happening. We could see the winnings of other players and have a laugh.
1847  Economy / Economics / Re: ECB lifts rates by unprecedented 75 bps on: September 10, 2022, 06:05:57 AM

This negatively affects economic growth, which is why central banks have so far been reluctant to implement rate hikes, in economies that have become largely dependent on liquidity injections.

I think it's not only the economic impact it has the ECB fears but also the impact on financing cost of the southern European countries. Many of these countries are heavily in debt and rely on refinancing their loans each year. With higher interest rates the monthly interest payment is going to increase and will leave less money for other things in the budget. Nonetheless reacted the ECB way too slow, we have been dealing with high inflation rates for the whole year almost. During winter economicst predict a double digit inflation rate and for next year they forecast 6%. The interest rate increase by the ECB will have no big impact to reduce inflation. The ECB is clearly more concerned about countries as a whole and not about the average person who is trying to save some money each month. The problem remains that we don't get any interest on our cash compared to the high inflation rate, the only solution is to invest.
1848  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: September 10, 2022, 06:02:30 AM
I know that's the marketing strategy that most casinos do here in cryptocurrency. But from another angle, if we look closely, the bonuses they supposedly give, in fact, also come from the amount of the depositor who gambled.

For example, other casinos say they will give a bonus of 25$ to those who sign-up on their gambling platform, but before you can get the bonus of 25$, you must first deposit an amount of 500$ on their platform. Do you think that the 25$ will come directly from the owner of the gambling site? of course not, instead the 25$ bonus in reality will come from the gambler's money. It's a bit tricky to get there.

I would say that not only the bonus the casino pays us, but also the winnings we make are coming out of the pockets from other gamblers. A new casino always needs a certain amount to start with, to cover potential winnings and withdrawals. Eventually the casino will start using revenues to cover outflows and be able to pay dividends to the owner. Running a casino is not free, they need to maintain the servers, pay for electricity and employees, pay for a gambling licence, keep upgrading their IT security and run advertising campaigns. With all that in mind it should be clear that a casino needs to make a profit each month to function. They achieve this with having games that offer a house edge. That's why the number of losers will be higher than the number of winners, but this doesn't mean that we can't make a profit gambling.

1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [NEWS] Gambler Charged with Murder after Letting Kids Die on: September 07, 2022, 03:58:48 PM
That's crazy, how can you leave your kids in the car and go gambling? There is no way that I could concentrate knowing I left my kids alone. There is no excuse, I hope she gets a really long prison sentence. I can already hear her excuses about why she had to gamble and maybe even claiming gambling addiction to try and get away with it. But this has nothing to do with gambling. There are stories about people leaving their kids and pets in the car when going grocery shopping. Most of the time the firefighters are called to break open the car, but there still stories where children die in the parking lot of a supermarket. Maybe the parking lot of the casino needs more CCTV, so the security team would see if there are any children.
1850  Economy / Economics / Re: Will crypto jobs make government jobs irrelevant in the near future? on: September 07, 2022, 03:37:26 PM
I am afraid that this is not really realistic. The crypto community is creating a lot of new jobs, but these are not reducing the number of government employee. When it comes to the government and it's jobs there is no supervision. It's politicians who decide how many jobs they need and how much they are going to get paid. It's pretty ridiculous how large the government sector became over the last 20 years. The parliament is becoming larger each year, the support staff behind each politician also increases and gets paid more and more. Just this year the EU politicians decided to link their own salary to the inflation rate. In no private company are we seeing the salary increases we are seeing in the public sector. The funny thing is that the always so divided politicians all agree when it comes to raising their benefits. There is no way politicians would reduce the number of government jobs.
1851  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 07, 2022, 06:28:35 AM

How many hours/week is the typical in your country? How many hours are you actually working and how does a 4 day work week sound?

In my country the usual employment contracts includes a 40 hours week, which is a rough indication because in many sectors they rely on overtime and even if you got a 30 or 35 hour contract you might have to work longer each week to finish work in time. I would say that most people work at least 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, with 1 hour lunch break. Saturday and Sundays are usually off with only people in the service industry have to work on those days. A 4 work day week sounds awesome and I would like to see my country try it out for some time. Among my friends I know that several wifes work only part time, a 20 day week which is usally 4 days with 5 hours. Like this they can be home in the afternoon and look after the children. Problem is that it results in a big paycut and with energy and rent prices increasing each year it might be necessary for both spouses to work fulltime again.

The latest HLTV ranking is out! Check out pic below for the top 10 HLTV.
Faze took the #1 spot from Navi, #2 for now. Navi is at #1 but doing piss-poor at stage round, just barely made it to the playoff round. Now Faze is at #1, the same curse again to Faze in stage round in group B?

Also, Liquid is at #3! A nice surprise since I have a soft spot for Liquid as I've posted before from the old roster Stewie, NAF, Twistzz, Nitro, Elige. This time, Liquid at #3 with NAF, Nitro, Elige, Yekindar, oSee tho. Interesting to see Vitality at #4 with +3 from the last ranking.

Group A matches this and last week for the ESL Pro League Season 16 had huge impacts of the world ranking. FaZe reached #1 without even playing a game, only by NaVi losing 3 matches they managed to pull ahead. The week was pretty terrible for me, lost a lot of bets on NaVi. As a long term follower of NaVi I expected much more from them. The mirage map vs Vitality was super close, could have ended either way and then NaVi would have won 2:0, was an unlucky day  Sad And vs NiP seems the nerves were not holding up. Both have the matches should have been a clear win for NaVi. So far they are still not in a bad position, their round difference is good and they should be able to recover later in the tournament. Group B matches for the are starting today, with the first match being FaZe vs FTW which has odds of 1.02 - 1.04 for FaZe winning, makes almost no point to even bet on this game. The BIG vs Outsiders match today seems much more close and has decent odds with 1.75-1.8 for BIG to win. For me this is the best match today to try and recover my NaVi losses. And tomorrow the match G2 vs BIG should be interesting with G2 likely winning.
1853  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: September 06, 2022, 02:58:21 PM
There is one more card games I would love to see at casinos, I am not sure how it's called internationally and if people in other countries even okay it. We call the game "Liar"  and it was the most played card game with my friends before going into poker. You use the same 52 card deck as in poker and can play it with as many friends as you like. All cards are being distributed and the youngest player starts placing one card face down, nobody can see it any you can call out any card you like. Than the other people all have to place one card on top of it, either matching it's number or picture, or it's type. Like you can place any heart card on hearts, or any 7 on 7. With Jack's you can change the color. The funny thing is that everybody can call out liar and turn over the card. If you placed another card than you stated than you have to take all of them. If you didn't lie than the person accusing you has to take all. The person who has no cards left won the game. This could be a lot of fun in a VR casino where you interact with others more.
1854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 06, 2022, 02:47:59 PM
Taking a protocol of conversations with customer support should be common practice today. Every casino should do so because it also protects their employees and can avoid lawsuits down the road. Best is to just send a copy of conversations via email to the customers. If this is not the case I would of course take Screenshots to document your issue later. The forum here has a big standing in the crypto gambling community. Many casinos advertise here and run promotions for years. Having good reviews on the forum also means to attract new customers and keep old customers engaged. That's why I would be careful posting issues of ongoing claims before you have a definite answer from the casino. I understand it can be frustrating to wait for feedback from the casino, but if everything will be fine and you already accused the casino here on the forum it looks bad on you.
1855  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: September 06, 2022, 02:32:01 PM
I think that many people follow money because its the one thing that everybody needs in life. Money is what makes the world go round. Without money people would stop working and the whole country would fall apart. Sure there are some people who love their job and would still do it even when they are not getting paid. But the majority goes to work every day for the monthly salary. Honestly, who enjoys sitting 8-10 hours a day in a small office and stare at a computer screen? You are right that value should be more important than money, unfortunately that is not the case.
1856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A bitcoin whale is ready to sell 5000 Bitcoins or already sold. on: September 06, 2022, 06:34:09 AM

A  Bitcoin Whale address  which created in 2013 (18xGHNrU26w6HSCEL8DD5o1whfiDaYgp6i)  has transferred all of its  bitcoins approximately 5,000 BTC at 04:50:38 on Sep 5 (UTC+8) to Kraken exchange, worth  of approximately $100 million.  The earliest recorded transaction of this address  was in December 2013, and the last one  was in May 2021.

That is crazy, why would you be selling 5000 BTC right now? This doesn't really make sense to me. The bitcoin price has been hovering between the 20-25k USD barrier for months now, nothing really changed except that the price dropped below 20k again. It doesn't really seem like the time to panic and sell all the coins at once. I mean if you sit out the bear market for so long, why give into the selling pressure now? If he needs some money quickly than he could sell only a few coins to cover his cost, but selling all is a bit excessive. He is missing out on so much potential profit once the Bitcoin price recovers. In my opinion the time to sell this year was when the Russia - Ukraine war broke out, you either believed the world is going to go into a big crisis or will recover soon again. If you held your coins for 6 months now already it seems way too late to sell now. But then again if you have the BTC since 2013 you are already made so much profit that a 100m USD payout will set you for live.
1857  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kings Club Poker, semi-private games, mainly for serious poker players on: September 06, 2022, 06:17:50 AM
Players who know how to play are divided into two types: professionals and regulars. The difference is that the professionals live only from poker and the regulars have other jobs and play in their free time, earning extra money.

For low levels, someone who plays few hands and plays them aggressively is someone who knows how to play. People who know how to play, seeing how others play, realize who is a good player or not, helped also if they play online by statistics programs (allowed, legal).

I would say that every professional poker player is using statistical programs it todays world, it helps them to stay profitable and review their game. You need stastics to see where the problems in your strategy is. Either the poker casino has already programs that you can use yourself, or you can download your played hands as file and analyse it in external programs. A software that tracks all your hands played is mandetatory to see how well you are doing at each step of the game. For example, this will show you if win or loss too much pre flop, or if you go to too many showdowns, and it will keep track of your swings. For poker players who play a lot against other regulars another software to take notes is very important also. You can see this on twitch when checking the poker streamers, the all take notes to each other. This can be a basic color scheme to categorise players or even real detailed notes. Poker is an information game, the more information you have about an opponent the easiert it will be for you to make the right call. At higher blind games this is more important because there less players and you will meet a lot of the same guys the more you play. At the micro blind games there is a higher fluctuation of players and less need for stasticial programs, but it's still advisable to use them and get used to them for later games.
1858  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right mindset needed for all traders on: September 05, 2022, 03:18:49 PM
A winning mentality is important in trading, we need to be convinced of our ability to make money and not doubting ourselves. In case we feel uncomfortable trading larger positions than we might not be ready yet and go back to trade sizes that make us comfortable. A little bit of doubt is good to keep us grounded and reflect our actions, but too much doubt will lead to fear over time. And once we are afraid of losing money in a trade emotions will take over and our decisions are not rational anymore. As a trader it's very important to be a realist and make decisions based on logic and research. I found it very helpful to reflect on past trades and see if I would make the same trade 3 month again. If not I need to decide to sell that position or not. As a realist we need  to accept when we are wrong and take a loss to switch more profitable trades.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 05, 2022, 03:08:28 PM
I'm not married yet and I don't live with my family anymore and that's why I don't have to hide when I gamble. but the trick I used when I was living with my parents was to not allow anyone (including my parents and even my girlfriend) to touch my smartphone and laptop. I'm lucky enough to never tell my girlfriend about my gambling activities because she will definitely tell my parents when we fight lol.

This might seem like a good idea at first but it's not going to work long term. I tried it myself with my ex girlfriend and it didn't work, she kept asking me why she isn't allowed to look at my things and what am I hiding. This created a lot of problems in our relationship and made her very jealous. If we forbid something to our wife or girlfriend it creates mystery and she will be even more motivated to find out what's going on. It only takes one careless day to leave things unlocked and she might open it up when we are at work or university. I think it's better to try and hide in plain sight. Making things as uninteresting as possible for her to not give any attention to it. But then again the best would be to not hide in the first place and be open with each other.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Strategies & Betting Psychology on: September 05, 2022, 02:56:52 PM
Was a good read through your betting article, I even found out a few new things I didn't know before. Like you said, everybody has a betting strategy he follows, even if he isn't aware of it out brain will use it subconsciously. This is probably due to the nature of humans, we humans like to follow patterns and routines. Our brain searches for pattern in the most random environments. For me martingale is the best strategy for gambling, with one win we offset all the previous losees. I am aware that martingale approaches have drawbacks and are no guarantee for a profit. But it helps me to be methodical about my betting amounts and keep track about my past losses. Also martingale can be added on top of many different strategies.
