1. Is it possible for NFTs to coexist with a crypto-gambling project?

2. What usefulness do you think 🤔 could make NFTs useful for crypto gamblers?

Yes of course NFTs can coexist with gambling projects, the question is only how well gamblers are going to accept. If the NFTs are for free and are like bonus jackpot that we can win on top of our normal winnings, then everybody would be happy about it. The problem is that the value only comes through scarcity and that will be hard to achieve if they are given away freely. And if NFTs take a too large part in the winnings it could drive away gamblers who are not interested in it. Maybe a function to choose between crypto or NFT payouts could work.  As for the usefulness I am not so sure about it. When it comes to gambling for most people it's about making a profit, and right now the times to make a profit with gambling is not so great.
1762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Happens to Our Bitcoin and Other Assets If We Die? on: October 06, 2022, 01:50:20 PM
I think that's the reason still there are millions of BTC that are still missing cause of lost key or dead Bitcoin holders too.
I think we should at least make backup  file and should transfer in Bank Safe so that when they receive than they know how to retrieve it.

If you have 1 million USD invested in bitcoins and other crypto currencies I hope you made a testament that includes all your assets and how the should be split among your family. Without a testament all your assets will go to your wife or children automatically. But if they sing know about the bitcoins all your coins might be lost. The next step would be to guarantee that your family can access your bitcoins. If they only know about your coins but can't access your keys than your coins are lost. With investment above 50,000 USD I would consider renting a safe deposit box at your local bank. There you can store all important information in one place and your family and has no trouble finding them. Alternatively you can also add instructions on how to access and keys to tour will. Then your lawyer will deliver that information to your family.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 06, 2022, 01:28:03 PM
I find it hard to gamble in real casinos, as I am scared of being embarrassed (by doing something wrong or not understanding what people want from me) or from doing something stupid. While gambling online, I can always pause or read help. While in casino, playing slots for example, I am shy to ask "I've got 3 apples, and a worm, what should I hit next, everything is flashing and distracts me".

I remember when I was younger and played blackjack. A friend of my or dealer offered me to split. While playing online, I have only use hit and stand. Split? Yes split. No. I was so embarrassed that moment, because I did not understand what dealer wants, and I wasnt sure that "no" will be a proper answer (like answering no to a "whiskey in rocks or snifter glass")

I remember that feeling, my first few times in a physical casino I waa afraid to make mistakes and people would laugh. That is why I only played roulette, betting on red or black. Nothing can go wrong there. My friends were a bit more experienced and they also played other games. It took me a while to get used to the whole casino atmosphere. The good thing about casinos is that people are usually very friendly and you can ask questions, also you are not required to gamble constantly. You can spend a whole night without betting at all and only observe other gamblers. A good friend of mine who doesn't like gambling still goes to the casinos with us, only to enjoy the drinks and place one bet every time right before we leave. In the end we put most of the pressure on ourselves and the other gamblers are so busy with their own game that they won't even notice us.
1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I find way to win on dice on: October 06, 2022, 06:16:32 AM
Do only 50% bet 20$ every time if it fails do 60$ it fails do 150$ if it fails do 350$ if it fails do 900$ if it fails do 2300$

There is no way you will fail 7 times and if you do just increase the bet and you will get it back eventually even if you wait 12 times.

what you think on my method?

What the heck is that approach mate. Are you seriously running that strategy? How long have you been using it and what is your profits?  I don't think this is a very profitable strategy long run and it will lead to you losing all your bankroll eventually. You seem to be a using a martingale approach, where every win will make you a profit and cover all the previous losses you had. The problem I see here is that you are increasing your bets too fast. Why jump from 20 to 60 USD so quickly, and already after 6 times losing you are at 2300 USD. If you lose that are you going to bet 7000 USD? In the end you need more than 10,000 USD bankroll to only cover 7 losses. And getting 7 losses in a row with 50% chances is not so uncommon.
1765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: October 05, 2022, 01:25:39 PM
Is totally wrong for a father (Parents) not to nurture their children properly before exposing them to money, this is were most parents got it wrongly. At first you must give your child a mentality that making money is very hard and you Must spend money wisely without living a wasteful life for that i don't have to lay any blame on the child rather his parents for living a wasteful live. Believe me or not., as a child you have approximately 35 to 40 percent your father's character and 25 percent of Mothers character while the rest are inborn or a self developed characters due to bad friends or environmental factor. So whatever father does definitely his son must copy it if the father didn't hide himself in most cases, and he just displayed the true nature of the father.

So lastly, we don't have to allow our children to live a life without proper control and caring, despite how wealthy the parents may be, and should be restricted from gambling if not 18 year or more. I wonder what he would become in 10 to 20 years time to come.

Very well written, I fully agree with you. As a parent it's much better to raise our children to make their own decision instead of us making the decisions for them. As a minor gambling is illegal and parents need to enforce that law. But instead of only banning gambling and telling them it's not allowed, it's better to try and make them understand why it's not good for them. Especially when we are gambling ourselves, we need to try and teach them why they are not ready yet to take risks oh gambling. Teaching our children the tools to evaluate risks and understand the risks before taking them are viable lessons that will help later in life. In good thing is to make out children work during summer holidays, this will teach them how hard it is to earn money. And if they really want to gamble they should do it with their own money, this needs to be supervised of course. When our kids are 16-17 we could try gambling together to give them a feeling for it. So far all the kids in my family are still very young abf don't ask question yet. Once they become older we need to deal with that issue.
1766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 Bitcoin Halving - What are Your Expectations!!! on: October 05, 2022, 01:10:48 PM

*Increase number of users?

This seems like the most predictable outcome after the next halving in my opinion. We all know that prices are going to rise again after the halving in 2024. The bitcoin miners are wanting to be compensated for the reduced mining rate. If prices for bitcoins are not rising after the halving, the miners will just stop bringing new bitcoins to the market. That means that prices have to rise or demand for bitcoins as to fall. It's not realistic to expect a slowdown in bitcoin demand, even now with the World having to deal with so many issues there is still a lot of trading happening in the bitcoin market. I am not sure if we are going to see a new ATH in 2024, but rising prices means that bitcoins become attractive again as investment. And the higher the price rises the more new investors are going to join the market.
1767  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: October 05, 2022, 06:44:07 AM
This is just insane. The twitter stock just skyrocketed after the news came in. It went up by 22% within minutes. Everyone will be regretting about not purchasing this stock, when it was trading at sub-40 levels.

Looks like Elon Musk is back at it again to buy Twitter. The stock price dropped a lot from the first take over battle and now jumped straight back up to the price level during the first take over attempt, even reaching a new ATH. The first time the negotiations took probably too long and the price rallied too high. Now half a year later the world has completely changed, stocks have tanked a lot due to the ongoing economic issues and still the price is the same as before. I am sure Elon Musk thought about this a lot and wouldn't come back for round 2 if the wasn't convinced that he is going to pull it off this time. For all the investors who still are holding Twitter stocks I would keep holding. Buying right now at 52 USD seems really expensive. Also the banks who are doing the financing are not really happy about the deal the 12.5bn USD debt Elon Musk secured for the deal is split between several banks who are going to struggle to get it off their books. Now with rising interest rates the loans don't look so attractive anymore as an investment for potential investors.
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 05, 2022, 06:22:37 AM
I always consider gaming as gambling I have seen many gamblers spend a lot of money for their character and to level up their account for future profit, like selling their stuff and their character.

If you're a gamer or someone is a gamer and would like to try to gamble in online casinos will it become an easy transition as all the elements of gambling are present when you're a gamer, or does a gamer have to start all over again, and have a different motivation and mindset?

I am not so sure about this one, in my opinion gambling is different from most times of gaming. It depends on which kind of games you play and enjoy. Let's say you enjoy sport games like Fifa or NBA, there is no character or items progression than you could use to sell in the future and make a profit. Same goes for non main stream shooters. The real value is in big games like Dota, CSGO, etc. with millions of active players. I also think that most of the gamers are not looking for ways to make profits out of gaming and don't want to sell their accounts. If you spend a long time grinding and leveling your account up it becomes personal and in terms of profit it mostly not worth it compared to the hundreds of hours you put into the account. Most games need you to have good reflexes, they are not about evaluating risks like in gambling and have a good stomach to endure big down swings.
1769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The irony of leaving your private keys in a bank on: October 05, 2022, 06:11:56 AM
Could you explain your experience doing this and what to considering when hiring such a service?

I am storing some important documents including my private keys in a bank vault. My uncle has a bank deposit box for 40 years almost and lets me use it as well as he only stores some documents in there. He lives 15 minutes away and his bank is in my city which makes it very convenient for me to access it. You only need to a key and visit the bank to opening hours and you can access your deposit box. It's kind of like a the deposit boxes and the train station only with more security. So far I haven't heard that there was any heist on vault deposit boxes in a bank in my city, they seems fairly secure. Not sure how much they cost though, my uncle had all his business accounts at the bank and I am sure they gave him the deposit box very cheap. It really comes down to how much money you have invested in cryptos and if this extra layer of security is worth it.
1770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: October 04, 2022, 01:54:59 PM
Since we already have internet now I doubt if they can restrict people from continuing to enjoy what they love doing online and one of these is playing in their favorite casinos, they can only restrict those offline casinos and places where people gamble, but not people on the comfort of their home, they need a court order to check what people are doing, I will continue playing but only online as I don't want to mess with authorities as I am a law-abiding citizen.

You are right that with the Internet enables us to gamble whenever we want. Some casinos restrict the access to their website from countries where gambling is illegal or heavily regulated. This will not stop someone who really wants to gamble, he can use VPNs to still access the casino. The problem is that he has no rights anymore. Do you really want to risk large sums of money if there is no legal framework in your country to support your claims? If there are issues with the casino you can't involve a lawyer and there is no real chance to get your money back. This is not only for online gambling, but also for illegal underground casinos. For me the risk would be too high to not get my money when I win big. It must be frustrating when the government suddenly declares gambling illegal in your country. But there are legal ways around it. For example, you could go on vacation to cities like Las Vegas or Macau. Flights and hotels are usually fairly cheap and you can spend a whole weekend or even week gambling.
1771  Other / Off-topic / Re: Life lessons from Bill gates and how it could make you a successful entrepreneur on: October 04, 2022, 01:44:01 PM
CONCLUSION
Nothing good come easy. It involves great work with passion. Your decision on what to become in life can drive you towards achieving your dreams. It may take some time to rationally get from where you are to where you want to be but you will definitely be there one day. Just take make a move, start something, be focus and see how success will drive you towards your dream.

It's always nice to read tips and strategies from billionaires, from their mouth it always sounds so easy. Like focus on your dreams, never give up and you will eventually make it. Don't get me wrong, all his points are valid and we can learn from them. But there are also factors that we can't control ourselves, for example luck and how much support we can get from our family. It makes a huge difference if you start from 0 or if you know successful people through your family who can support you with starting financing. Having access to a network through your parents is not only about seed money, but also important contacts. Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg or Elon Musk, they all didn't start from 0.

Damn, that's a lot of people who all picked the same winning numbers. Imagine you finally win the lottery after playing for 40 years, only to share your money with 433 other people. Maybe there were some tipping groups who all picked the same numbers, but this can't explain all of winners. There is already another thread here on the forum talking about the winning numbers all being divisible by 9. I don't think that the numbers alone are evidence for scam. To me the numbers still seem random, the high number of lottery winner is what concerns me the most. Maybe there is some form of connection between the winners. Also there seems to be high number of second and third prize winners. Sad for the gamblers who picked the right numbers on their own and won legitimately.

What an ESL Pro League final that was, congratulation to Vitality for winning it in two overtimes against Team Liquid. Somehow I was rooting more for Liquid to win it, as they came from the third place in Group D and fought their way all the way to the finals, very impressive performance.  I didn't place anymore bets for the semi finals and final as I wanted to end this season in the greens.  My two last bets where FaZe to win against Cloud9 - which was a pretty poor performance for Faze, and Vitality to win against Outsiders, which even went into overtime. Somehow the two top teams NaVi and FaZe lost in the quarter finals - that really hurt to see it. Vitality went from world ranking #7 to #3 during that tournament. And this week already the qualifying games for the Intel Extreme Masters Major in Rio are starting. With less than a month to go for the big major we are going to see a lot of nice games. Today is Astralis playing again NiP, which should be a good win for NiP. And Vitality is playing against Fantasy is which is probably going to be the most one sided game of the day.
1774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mcdonald's in Lugano, Switzerland now accept Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 06:36:46 AM

What are your thoughts on this?

That is great news, McDonald's is the biggest restaurant chain in the world and if they are moving ahead with accepting Bitcoins in Switzerland it's a big step. This already happened in February this year and hopefully it was a successful trial experience for McDonald's. I also read that the whole municipality of Lugano wants to move more into the crypto world and will try to accept Bitcoins in everydays transaction. Lugano is a very touristic city that attracts many visitors in the summer and in the winter. If you can start using bitcoins in every store on your vacation that would be an awesome experience. So far I didn't read about other McDonald restaurants to also accept Bitcoins in Switzerland. It would be great if you could play in every McDonald's restaurant with Bitcoins. And once they made the first step, BurgerKing and KFC can't be far behind and do the same thing.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this statiscally possible in a lottery? on: October 02, 2022, 07:16:15 AM
Yesterday, many people were surprised on the result of our lottery. The number that came out were are all divisible by nine. There are many speculations now that the lottery is rigged and the result was already fixed. It's just hard to believe that since they always do live draw to show transparency about the result. What do you think? Is this really possible in lottery?

These numbers don't look so special too me. What is the issue with numbers that are divisible by nine or by three? If they are drawing their number live than I wouldn't expect a rigged lottery. Of course there could be a system in place that brings out only the desired numbers, but there should be some checks to prevent it. With lotteries there are usually millions involved and the security should be higher to prevent any scam. I am not sure why certain numbers should be an indication for a scam. If the system is rigged, can't they choose whatever numbers they want? It would be more obvious if the same person wins the lottery multiple times in a row. Or if the lottery winners all come out of the same family or small town. If you really feel like the system is rigged, maybe take a break from the lottery and save your money instead?
1776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Isn't Bitcoin Going Lower? on: October 02, 2022, 07:04:13 AM
The easiest explanation for why the Bitcoins price is not going below the 17-18,000 USD barrier is that there are too many investors in the market starting to buy again at the these cheap prices. I remember that quite a few big crypto investors stated when the price was around 30,000 USD that they would be buying once the price drops below 20,000 USD. Robert Kiyosaki was one of the investors who talked on Twitter about the 17,000 floor for the Bitcoin price. Another explanation is that Bitcoin investors are unwilling to sell their coins below such a cheap price. So once bitcoins drops below 20,000 USD again many of the potential sellers are leaving the market and reducing the supply of bitcoins at the exchange. The expectations of the buyer and seller need to match for the a deal to happen. I am glad the price is not going lower and will hopefully recover soon again.
1777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: October 01, 2022, 08:30:05 AM
A new government came into power, and enacted a law that nobody should gamble anymore in the country i.e gambling becomes illegal. Will you just behave yourself and abide to this new law that is depriving you from having fun as a good citizen ? or will you ignore the law and keep on gambling since there are online casinos that you can gamble secretly with your mobile phones with out no one knowing ?

It is really hard to imagine that the government would block gambling and make it illegal overnight in my country. I am living in a very free and open country, where the red light district is regulated and not illegal, same goes for drugs. Over the last 5 years the government kept lowering the prison sentences for drug offenders in an effort to decriminalise smaller drug offences. The main focus is personal freedom which makes it so hard to imagine that gambling would be banned suddenly.  To be honest I would probably not stop gambling and start looking for ways to circumvent the ban online and keep gambling. Being a good citizen is one thing, but this usually means you understand the motivation behind the laws of the government. And a outright ban on gambling doesn't seem fair in my eyes. If they try to regulate the sector more it's okay, but banning things we enjoy doing is the wrong way. What I would not do is gambling with my mobile phone in public, the risk of other people seeing it and maybe calling the police on me would be too big.
1778  Economy / Economics / Re: 23 Countries Now Abandoning US Dollar on: October 01, 2022, 08:26:28 AM
If the countries abandon the US dollar, establish a new currency, what will be the impact on the US dollar?

I didn't read anything about such a move on the mainstream media. Are you sure this is legit? Quickly googling the topic found me an article from Truth and Action which is from 2015. Right now it seems not really realistic to have all the major European countries work together with China to create their own currency away from the US Dollar. I wouldn't bet on enough public support for such a move. It's one thing to try and move away from the US Dollar as the main reserve currency in the world. But what is going to be the alternative? I don't think China will give into a new currency that is controlled by Europe or India, and same goes the other way round. Europe would never accept a new reserve currency that is controlled by China.
1779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and financial planning. on: October 01, 2022, 07:33:19 AM
There are so many newbies who end up failing when trading, because they trade without preparation and are only influenced by other people.
I see most newbies when trading rely on free signals from trading groups. In fact, it will only make their lose money. Even though trading is
a complex activity, there are many things that we must learn to become successful traders. Like how to manage our finances when trading
should be a priority, so we will not lose large amounts of money when experiencing losses. Never think we can become a successful trader
in a short time, forget trading if we think like that. Becoming successful in trading requires quite a long process, we must look for an effective
strategy and do not rush to trade with large capital, we must manage finances, that way when experiencing losses can be minimized.
The conclusion must be patient to be able to reach the stage where the profit we generate is greater than the losses we experience when trading.

It's a big problem if you get into trading without a lot of prior knowledge only to completely trust your money on information from strangers. Don't get me wrong, these trading groups that offer signals to everyone can be helpful when finding a new trade, but they are no guarantee to make a profit. Even the best trader in the world will not always be right. As a beginner it's a good idea to learn from other people and if they are successful to try and copy them. In the end it's always your own money and we are responsible if we lose some of it. What I noticed from friends and colleagues who gave trading a try is that they are not really realistic for their return expectations. It's the stories about insane profits that make a few lucky traders millionaires overnight that makes people think it will happen to them too. It's important to start small in the trading world, keep track of our personal finances and to get more experience before we put on the big trades. It hurts to miss out on a profitable trade, or to feel that we should have bought a larger position. But better to miss out on some profits than lose a large part of our bankroll.
1780  Economy / Services / Re: POKER COURSES FOR SALE on: October 01, 2022, 07:18:04 AM
Yeah, that's how you win in poker, by having more skills than others. Luck doesn't care who you are, it's distributed absolutely randomly among everyone. So, although it wouldn't be right to say that everyone has equal amount of luck, that definitely wouldn't be true, we can still say that no one can count on having more luck than others. Hence, we are all equal in this department. But we can count on having more skills. And if we are more skillful than our opponents, we have an edge over them.

It's true that luck affects all of us and should therefore not play a too big of a role in our decision making. But this implies that we are playing a lot of hands in poker regularly to get the randomness (positive and negative luck) out of our strategy. For someone who only plays maybe one night per month poker the aspect of luck is completely different. If we meet a recreational poker player who goes allin preflop with his 22 for example, only to hit another 2 on the river, we will lose a big pot. For him the win could mean everything and he might take a break for another 3 weeks from poker and enjoy his profit.  Swings in our profitability are part of every poker player, and the smaller the number of played hands the more will the swings affect our bankroll. That is also why tracking software for poker hands is so important. It will show me exactly how my swings are affecting my gameplay and if my strategy is still giving me an advantage over my opponents.
