1821  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this Gambling Bot real or fake? on: September 17, 2022, 07:34:14 AM
I already bought it haha. But afraid its a virus. How i can check this out?

Most of the new virus software can check files in detail and will compare it to online databases to check for viruses. In case you don't use a good antivirus program you can also check online on some websites. For example on https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/upload you upload the file and they will check it for you. This will not tell you if the bot is legit or scam though. Since you already bought the bot you must have decided for yourself that it's not a scam, but I would still recommend you to be cautious and test the bot. It might be hard to fully understand the bot at first, that is why I would start very small and only use little money to try out the bot. Only if it makes you money consistently you should consider adding larger betting sizes.
1822  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Strategies changes with time on: September 17, 2022, 06:53:29 AM
I think strategy should include making decisions based on market and situation. But in the case of long term trading I will keep the matter separate because in long term trading if a good analysis is done to invest then I think you should take decision accordingly. But in the case of short time trading, the matter is more included, according to the different situations of the market, sometimes we have to take a decision even if it is a little more profit or a little loss than the strategy.

When it comes to long term trading it is in many cases about building up crypto portfolio with strong coins that are going to keep it's value. The focus is not on making short term trades to take advantage of imbalances in the price. The main focus is on acquiring established coins that have good fundamentals. These trading strategies don't seem to change much over time, diversify your portfolio and pick positions that have proven in the past to be successful. What do changes is short term trading strategies. When it comes to intraday or intraweek trading technical analysis is the focus for many traders. Identifying trends and undervalued coins are done with a large variety of indicators, but these indicators will not always be right. Over time investors might look at different tools and will change their strategies with it.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 17, 2022, 06:29:24 AM
So, what do you say, does crypto casinos really care about money laundering?

I wouldn't say that money laundering is anything special about the crypto casino community. Money laundering has been a part of the gambling industry for a long time. Already in the 1980s criminals used casinos to cash in illegal money and withdraw legit winnings that can be added to their bank accounts. Even today I see sketchy people sitting in front of the slot machines in our billiard bar all night. Slots are one of the best ways for them to launder money because they payout 95-97% of the money being paid in. And nobody can verify later if your winnings results from being lucky one evening, or from playing a long period of time and adding a lot of cash to the machines. I think that casinos are aware of the issues of money laundering and are trying to stop it. It sheds a bad light on the industry and isn't really needed for casinos to make their money. There are so many recreational gamblers that the casinos would be doing fine if there were no more criminals abusing the casino systems. Unfortunately there are no 100% secure ways to prevent money laundering. Even with KYC people can pay others to gamble with their money to attract less suspicion.
1824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: In your opinion is this the end for Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency? on: September 17, 2022, 06:19:15 AM
What a nice survey, 47 votes for "no", 0 for "yes" and 0 for "unsure". The forum might be a bit biased, but why would anybody really say that crypto currencies are dead? The bitcoin price right now is at 19,858 USD. If cryptos were anywhere close to dying or already dead than the price should be below 1 USD. And this is not going to happen anytime soon. The world is still full of people who are believing in cryptos and would happily start buying bitcoins if the drop anywhere close to 1,000 USD. I am sure that we are not going to see the end of crypto currencies in general or bitcoin in particular during our lifetime. Even if 99% of the world population is not interested in cryptos anymore, as long as there is 1% who uses cryptos it won't be dead.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose an online casino? on: September 17, 2022, 05:59:05 AM
I've been playing online casino slot machines for a while now, and I'm looking for advice on which ones are the best. I like to play the ones with lots of different payouts and bonuses, but sometimes the games take a long time to load. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Do you like all type of slot machines or do you have some favourites? Most of the online casinos have the same slot games because they are programmed by third parties and only sold as a package to a casino. That is why we see so many online casinos offer the same type of games. I don't play slots so regularly like you, but for me it was always more important to have a good casino that offers nice promotions and bonuses, that the best slot games. If you have problems loading the games it might be due to a bad internet connection on your end, or a badly coded online casino. Either way I would recommend you check some different websites and see if the games are loading faster or slower there. When choosing a casino I would also recommend you stick one that has been around for quite some time and runs successful signature campaigns here on the forum.
1826  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: September 17, 2022, 05:49:01 AM
CONCLUSION
Let's stop making money and fame the only measure for success. Being successful is being happy and satisfied with ones fully achieved dreams. Money cannot buy satisfaction and happiness. Satisfaction and happiness is the true definition of success and anyone without this can not be declare as being successful.

I agree with you that money is not a good measure of success. There are many people who are being born into a wealthy family and never have to worry about money in their life. I wouldn't call inheriting large sums of money as being successful. In case you are a self made man than its different, but still money is no guarantee for happiness. What if you or one of your close family member becomes ill and there is no cure? It doesn't matter how much money you have if you can't enjoy it. In my opinion good relationships with your family and everybody being healthy is much more important and will lead to more satisfaction than all the money in the world. It seems success is a very wide defined word that people interpret differently. We should work on our own happiness and success and not what other people think of us
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 14, 2022, 08:39:38 AM
When I first experienced how addictive internet is, my mind was blown. Over time it became even far more addictive with many gaming options. I think smartphones enable this so hard. When you have computer you need to leave it to move. But smartphones are always with us. It definitely makes online gambling businesses far more profitable. Although gambling addiction can hit vulnerable people so hard. There must be "quit" mechanism.

I agree it's the Internet together with smartphones that offers so many opportunities which can lead to afflictions down the road. Our cell phone gives us  the opportunity to be online wherever we are, there is no real escaping. In times of lockdowns the tablet and desktop where also very easy to access, but our phone we tend to move around with us anywhere. It's not only gambling which leads to addictions, but also mobile gaming or even social media. I noticed it with my cousin, she is constantly checking Facebook, Instagram and 2-3 more apps. There is no chance of having a conversation with her without she looking at her phone. I think the overall problem is the cell phone and not gambling itself. We need to have restrictions on ourselves to limit our use of Apps and the Internet. One good thing I try to do is no electronic devices in the bedroom. I try to avoid my phone and my laptop on bed. It helps me to fall asleep and is also good for the eyes.
1828  Economy / Economics / Re: Savings during inflation on: September 14, 2022, 08:27:07 AM
I agree with you, if you need something now there is no point in waiting. This year we are seeing inflation rates of 10+% and even for next the forecasts are already at 6-8%. Any purchase that is essential shouldn't be delayed, but any purchases that are luxury and non essential I would advice against it. The economic growth forecast are still very bad things could get worse. As for cash, there is no point in holding large amounts of it. A certain amount for emergencies is necessary and should always be kept, but larger amounts should be invested. The central banks started slowly this year to raise interest rates, and it's still going to take months for banks to give the rates to customers. And even then making 1-2% interest on your savings account is nothing compared to the inflation rate. Better to invest in stocks and crypto currencies.
1829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bonus Abuse: Who is to Blame? on: September 14, 2022, 08:17:44 AM
I ask again who is to blame for the increase in bonus abuse, the customers/fraudsters or the online gambling operators?

I think there are a few factors which increase the abuse of bonuses and promotions from casinos. First of all there is a lot of money involved if somebody can get another 100 to 200% bonus on his deposit. Casinos need to offer bonuses for new customers to distinguish among each other and be more competitive. If a gambler has the chance to take advantage of ineffective security at the casino he will do so more often in troubling. The rise in abuses we are seeing this year is linked to the drop in bitcoin and other crypto currencies. Last year when prices where much higher, people made a lot of money from cryptos and didn't need to use illegal activities to get more returns. But this year stocks and cryptos are in the deep red, economic outlooks are bad and rising inflation is making everything more expenses. Using crypto casino bonuses and promotions is one way to make sure to have a constant income from gambling. Only by gambling alone without any bonuses it's not possible to make money consistently. I think it's a fault for the gamblers to abuse the system, and a fault of the casinos to have not more strict security.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 14, 2022, 06:01:23 AM
What ESL Pro League Season 16 so far, the matches are incredible  and so exciting. The two top teams NaVi and FaZe are struggling a bit and giving room for other teams to shine. The first week was not going well for me, I was losing some money with my NaVi picks where I thought it would be a save win. Luckily last weekend turned it around for me with the G2 vs FaZe match. Even though FaZe was the clearly favourite I bet on G2 because they looked so convincing in their first few matches and they won comfortably. G2 won all their matches so far without dropping a single map, very strong group stage for them. Today group C stage is starting with some good games in the next several days. Most interesting game today is probably Astralis vs Complexity, should be a good win for Astralis. And tomorrow is playing Astralis vs Mouz which is going to be a bit closer match but should still be a win for Astralis. Overall the most anticipated match is going to be Heroic vs Astralis on Sunday as both of the teams seem the strongest in group C. I think that Heroic is going to beat Astralis, they played really well in their last few games.
1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Things to keep in mind before accumulation of Bitcoin on: September 13, 2022, 03:17:27 PM
Great article that should be read by anybody who wants to buy some bitcoin or other crypto currencies. The main take away is to use the DCA method to take advantage of the volatility in the market. I have been buying bitcoins since the start of the year myself, and its so much better to spread out your purchases across multiple months instead of buying everything at once. Who would have thought in January that bitcoins are going to drop down to 17,000 USD. The timing issue is one the biggest challenges in trading and with DCA we need to worry less about buying at the right price. Also DCA is well used strategy in stock trading for years.
1832  Economy / Economics / Re: Queen Elizabeth II's death may pose financial constraints for King Charles III on: September 13, 2022, 06:01:20 AM
With the country in deep recession and citizens struggling to meet up and cope on daily basis, will he be able to run with the baton she left for him or will UK experience more setbacks?

I don't think King Charles III has to worry about his personal financial situation. He is inheriting everything from the Queen and doesn't have to pay any succession duty for all the castles and estates he is getting. The royal family is exempt from such taxes to make sure they don't lose any wealth. This is also why the King or the Queen will always concentrate the wealth, there is no tax benefit to distribute it within your family. Also the King or like the Queen in the past had no real direct impact on politics of UK, they have the prime minister and the government for that. UK just got a new government last week and it's in their hands now to fix the economy. There are a lot of similarities between the struggle in the European Union and the UK at the moment. Especially the inflation needs to be brought down in 2023 for the economy to recover.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard of trifecta betting? on: September 13, 2022, 05:47:22 AM
If one is faced with some of the more complex bets, Trifecta betting might just be another strategy to try out.
Let's discuss it!

I am wondering how many people are actually using complex bets in the world of horse or dog racing. So far I never went to a sport race event with horses, I only know it from movies and TV this probably not an accurate picture of the sport. To me it seems so random to place large sums of money on horses if you don't follow the sport regularly. And now even picking the second or third place winner might be nice for getting better odds but it will also makes it so much more unlikely to win. If I am clueless than I am relying on odds to get a rough indication who is the most likely to win. The combination of picking the top 3 winners in order is giving such big odds that I could probably bet on some underdog with the same chance of winning. In the end we need to decide if we want to go for higher winnings but win less often, or if we want to win more often and only make small profits. Someone who has a good hand to pick the right horses might make a lot of money with this betting strategy.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best way of contacting steamers who do live stream their gamble? on: September 12, 2022, 10:12:22 AM
Hi guys! I need some good streamers who do live stream their gamble. So what is the best way of contacting them? If you know about it, or you have a good list of streamers please share. Or if you are a streamer you can contact me, and we can make a suitable deal for streaming. Thank you.

The best way to check for active streamers is to look on twitch and sort the list by viewers. There are always many people who stream in the gambling section. What kind of contact are you looking for? Business cooperations or more personal contact? I know a few streamers from the gaming community and they are very open to interact with their fans. The bigger streamers have their own discord servers and sometimes sit in public channels. It's a good way to hopp in and talk to them directly. I would try and contact them first on discord and see if they have fixed times when they are active on discord. If they are very popular streamers you will have to talk to a Moderator first. Alternatively you could also try to contact them via Instagram, but I think the chances are smaller here to get a reply. Third option would be to donate money on the live stream and add your message there.
1835  Economy / Economics / Re: Which fiat money are you holding right now in case of emergency needs? on: September 12, 2022, 09:51:54 AM
Holding some cash in different currencies for emergencies is a good idea. The question is what kind of emergency you prepare for. Holding Norwegian Krone or Japanese Yen might be hard to use if the financial system collapses. I am wondering which merchant on a different continent would really accept these currencies. They are only useful if people can rely on banks to convert them. For me the main emergency cash at home is in Euros as it's legal tender in my country. If there is some problem with electronic payments I can always rely on cash. The second largest cash at home is in US Dollars, I use this for emergencies and for travelling. The dollar is the best currency if you want to exchange it for a local currency in small foreign countries. I also thought about holding Swiss francs at home but decided against it. For me it made more sense to buy some silver and gold coins which could always be exchanged again.
1836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you think bear market is affecting Bitcoin (Crypto currencies) so badly on: September 12, 2022, 06:33:16 AM
What do you think will help to help boost the mindset of investors again after all the ordeal?

The bear market we are seeing this year is all about emotions in my opinion. Investors are scarred about falling prices in the crypto and stock market at the same time. The main trades this year have been selling risky assets and switch into secure bonds than should be offering better returns with the rising interest rates. The problem that many investors are not seeing that making a few percent return with Bonds is not going to cover the high inflation rates. It's just a matter of time for investors to realise they need to go back into more risky assets for additional returns. The best thing we can do as crypto investors is to remain calm and not give into the selling pressure. The more people HODL the less coins are available for sell at the exchange and the less can the price drop when people run for the door. It's also helpful to remind investors that crypto prices like stocks move in cycles and it's just a matter of time for them to recover.
1837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and financial planning. on: September 11, 2022, 06:50:42 AM

*Endeavor to set a  financial target for yourself and possible means to achieving it and also create room for adjustments just in case of obstacles but don't keep your focus away from your target.
Mind you, sometimes you may not hit your target, but not to worry, cause financial target helps you to have track knowledge of your financial growth within a framed of time.

I think this is a very important topic when it comes to financial planning. It makes it so much easier to save money when we have a goal we are saving for. Setting a fixed budget should also include what we are going to do with the money in the future. Saving money each month only with the goal to become rich one day is way harder than if we a goal we are aiming for. This could be to save money for our children's colleague education, a house, a new car or even retirement. Like this we can visualise what we are going for in life and now when we make progress and how close we are to reaching it. Running a spreadsheet for all income and expenses is necessary to identify where we can save more money and what is our future income going to be. It's important to know how much money we can use for saving and how much money we need to have access to quickly. There needs to be a different assets we save in, some more risky and some less risky. The higher the risk the higher also  the potential return we can make, but if we need money short term we could be forced to sell at a point and make a loss.
1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: September 11, 2022, 06:37:28 AM
Wow these are some strange guidelines and don't look appropriate to someone who enjoys gambling. They seem more like limitations from someone who has no interest in gambling, rather than a gambling enthusiast who tries to make some general guidelines to enjoy gambling long term. It's good to have rules that give us guidance, but they should be build around or own personal preference, not general rules.

Quote
Guideline 1: Gamble no more than 1% of household income
Don't bet more than 1% of your household income before tax per month. For example, someone with a household income of $70,000 before tax should gamble no more than $58 per month.

This seems way to conservative. I like the approach to have a fixed budget each month for gambling. I am doing the exact same thing and split it down to have a balance for each week. But 1% is too little, if you make 70k USD per year and can only use $58 per month for gambling? That is less than $15 per week. How will this lead to anything if you have a good night? Lets say you are lucky and make 150% in the night, that is not even $50.

Quote
Guideline 2: Gamble no more than 4 days per month

Why 4 days? This seems like a arbitrary number. I don't think this limitation is really needed since you already have a fixed budget for each week. To me it seems like a better approach to fix your maximum possible loss each week and then decide on our own when and how much we gamble. If we have a busy day and can only gamble for 15 minutes a night than we should be able to gamble multiple days per week. I would not make such big restrictions.

Quote
Guideline 3: Avoid regularly gambling at more than 2 types of games

What is the reason behind this one? I like the variety at casinos and want to use it. If you know the games well and used to play them in the past, why not mix them during a night? Some nights I really enjoy Black Jack and don't want to play anything else, and then I have nights were I just want to play some slots and some dice games. Especially when I have a losing streak it helps me to switch games and try to recover. There are too many different casinos games for me to limit myself to just 2.
1839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin? on: September 11, 2022, 06:14:10 AM
Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?

I am also buying Bitcoins at the moment, like you I use a DCA where I buy coins at the end of the month for 10 months now. If I had more time and more money I would probably also buy weekly like you, unfortunately with the rising inflation I have less money available and now only for certain when I get my next paycheck. DCA seems the best approach when you want to buy continuously, it removes the pressure to buy at the lowest possible and let's us worry less about the timing issue. My current plan is very simple, reach 1 BTC. Up until this point I am not going to sell any coins. Back in 2016/17 I had already quite a lot of bitcoins but made a big mistake by selling all cryptos when I stopped trading CSGO skins. That is why I am now a HODL investor to never make the same mistake again. Even if I ever consider selling some coins again I would always keep a large amount.
1840  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: September 10, 2022, 02:10:56 PM
Do you think that controlling yourself is an easy task in gambling? This is one of the most difficult tasks for me. That is why before gambling one should be sure about the purpose of gambling. If a gambler is financially well and spends his busy days with his working, the word addiction will never come up. But most of the time what happens is long time gambling in a day leads to addiction.

I agree with you, controlling emotions when gambling is very hard and requires a lot of discipline. Even now after years of gambling my brain likes to play mind games with me and tries to trick me into playing longer than I should. Especially during losing streaks I feel the pressure to play one more round, because my brain tells me I am going to win and recover. It's all about staying rational and keep reminding myself that the odds of winning in a casino are independent and not cumulative. I think that addiction starts to manifest when we use money for gambling that we can't afford to lose and shouldn't have touched. Once we give into that pressure it's hard to come back. That is why it's so important for me to have fixed boundaries I will not break, one of them is to a fixed budget per week and month dir gambling. It gives me freedom to decide when to gamble, but once I reach my loss threshold I have to stop. And of course l have to stick to my own restrictions, there is no point in cheating myself.
