With Bitcoin and its ledger, its technology and the case of satoshi nakamoto, it is clearly and easily to prove that a person is real satoshi nakamoto or just a fake one.

  • Make a signed message from any address that is well-known of satoshi nakamoto
  • It's absolutely lie and liar if anyone claims to be real satoshi nakamoto and can not sign a message to prove real ownership of those Bitcoin and Bitcoin wallet/ address
  • As a creator of Bitcoin, a real satoshi nakamoto should know how to back up private key totally safe from any risk of damage physically. Therefore, any excuse of losing private key by any unexpected reason is unacceptable

So far, after many years trying to claim as real satoshi nakamoto, CW can not show us such simple signed message. So he is a Faketoshi.
2742  Other / Meta / Re: Can a merit source use it's status to shill own project by giving merit ? on: December 27, 2021, 05:28:04 PM
Merited posts aren't really merit-worthy anyway, at least not for me as a merit source. On the other hand, I will not consider merit abuse as well. It's not a big deal really.
It's not a big deal if it is your self-earned merits, not sourced merits. And if the purposes of give smerits away are not related to unofficially require people to say all good things about your business.

Quote
If merit sources aren't selling merit, then let them spread merits. At least merit circulation will increase. If the sent merit amount is big then it would be a different case. But here just don't be too strict since the admin isn't too strict regarding merit distribution.
It might not be merit selling or exchange but as I said above, if it is like an unofficial give away to attract members and force them to say good compliment to shill your service, it is something wrong. Fortunately, in this case, I don't see that intention.

It is easy to realize that because such shady intention will catch a lot of newbie accounts join the party. Moreover, if compliments are over-exaggerated about a service, like it is a best on the forum while in fact we know it is not. It would be signal of something wrong.

All of them are not found in this case. So, the accusation (if it is) is inaccurate.
2743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: December 27, 2021, 04:42:26 PM
I can now earn little money to take care of my financial needs all with the help of Bitcoin-related jobs both on this forum and off the forum.
Congrats!

I don't know you know about those topics and given websites or not. Anyway, let's check them out. Perhaps you will find something you have yet known of.

2745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fear is not Real. on: December 27, 2021, 04:20:42 PM
Fear and Fomo are real psychological phenomenon and they are reflected on Fear & Greed index. [1]

They also have impacts on price because basically when people are fearful, they will panic sell; when they are greedy, they will FOMO buy. In turn, panic sell makes price dump and FOMO buy causes price pump.

[1] https://alternative.me/crypto/fear-and-greed-index/
If you check the Fear & Greed Index chart and compares it with Bitcoin price chart, you will see how Fear and Greed affects market price. Today the index is about 40 and Bitcoin gradually rallies from the extremely panic area below 20 of the Index, a few weeks ago.
2746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India plans law that will prohibit ‘all private cryptocurrencies’ on: December 27, 2021, 04:13:01 PM
I'm Getting tired of India is banning Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies , India is doing this and doing that. is this really helping the market of crypto? or this was just bringing Bad indications and results?
They are more likely another variant of China. Skip what they said and what social media is spreading very fast in matter of seconds.

Let's think of it deeply yourself. If a cryptocurrency is truly private, untraceable, does such ban attempt from government in any nation can affect its network, its usecases and its adoption in crypto community? No effect at all.

We see big effects from such ban, crackdown, prohibition news because many of self-called privacy coins are not actually privacy.
2747  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Signal Notifications on: December 27, 2021, 03:54:22 PM
I have only recently started investing in crypto markets (I am aware now isnt the perfect time, but I currently have plenty of spare time to learn).

I am using binance to trade and slowly learning spot trade interface. I have found a trading strategy which I feel quite comfortable with (4ema indicators).
What you said and what you are doing are different.

  • Investment vs trading: they are totally different.
  • Please share, how did you manage your capital for investment and trading? Have you separated your capital for investment and trading? Have you mixed them into one and sometimes you invest, sometimes you trade?

It is very bad if you mix your capital for trading and investment because they are different and require different strategies to complete with success.
2748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I recovered my wallet from 2014 and saw how close I was to being a millionaire on: December 26, 2021, 09:30:41 AM
With my four years in crypto, my lesson is as follows
  • If you find a good project, and have belief in it from your due diligent research, don't sell all coins you have.
  • It's not good to hold and don't mind to sell to take profit or at least to take your initial capital. It is a must thing to do. Protect your capital is most priority. Profit is only profit when you take it.
  • First, take profit to get initial capital back to your pocket. Second, take profit to use if for your life, to enjoy your successful invesment
  • Lastly, and most important, allocate from 10% to 30% of your coins for long term investment. It will help you rich and become millionaire or billionaire. If things go bad, you already take capital back, and already take profit, enjoy profit. Nothing bad in the end
2749  Other / Meta / Re: Can a merit source use it's status to shill own project by giving merit ? on: December 26, 2021, 09:18:51 AM
What accusation do you have here?

I visited that thread and used Search with keyword is Merit. Honestly, I did not find any word in that OP which contains merit word. No merit give away is mentioned in that OP. Did I miss any rule related to merit in that thread?

Additionally, a merit source has smerits from two sources: (1) from merit source allocation; (2) from earned merits. You can not differentiate what is source of smerit used by a merit source. krogothmanhattan is not a member who readily to abuse merit source for his business I think. He made his name and his business long before the merit system kick-off.

If it is used from merit source, it's bad because it does not stick to original idea of merit system, to highlight quality post with merit.
If it is used from my earned merit, it's not bad at all. It's my own earned merits and I have freedom to use it.
2750  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 26, 2021, 09:04:57 AM
Yes but in our country (same with crwth) receipts often looks like that so I can attest that he is showing you the exact receipt that he did get from purchase. I don't think being grilled like this have some sort of chance to lie of what was being wanted by most of us here don't you think? Also it does prove something of their spent from the charity money, so I think that's a common sense it did prove something.
Traditionally in finance, management, scientific research, there are retention periods in which you will have to store all records safely and have to obey clear rules for destruction of data.

I don't think we have such things with spontaneous charities. There are no Memorandum of understanding (MOU). I meant in spontaneous activities, such requirements only be raised after suspicious things which can be right accusation or just misunderstanding or mis-communication  or just bad operation (but it's different than scam). In the end, operators will bear the most disadvantages if they are non-scammers!

So as I said, if you want something clear and professional, go to big charity foundations which are easily to find. If you participate in spontaneous charities & have clear ideas about what might happen, you should bring such requirements at beginning before you send your donation.

As I said, it is not my backing words for this charity. Just fact in life!
2751  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: We have the right tools but many don't know how to use them on: December 26, 2021, 08:51:21 AM
Coinmarketcap and coingecko are enough to solve scam problems if you are a newbie, you don't have to ask anyone for link to official website, contract address or telegram channel coinmarketcap and coingecko got you covered, no more fake contract address and buying fake tokens on uniswap
Being listed on Coinmarketcap or Coingecko is good and very first step but it does not guarantee that those projects won't have rug pulls later.

They are third-party sites (as well as other sites) so make sure you always do double checks or cross checks for information you get from Coinmarketcap, Coingecko, Google (other search engines) and official websites.

we have the right tools but many don't know how to use them.
True but firstly newbies don't know about those Wiki websites for cryptocurrency. They are invited to join and invest in shitcoins first. People who sent them invitation even don't know about those sites or skip this basic steps.

Another reason is many shit coins are not listed on Coinmarketcap or Coingecko.
2752  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: i need about 3 tbtc (bitcoin testnet) on: December 26, 2021, 02:18:27 AM
Testnet Bitcoin has its use cases and it is not cheap to mine. So why did you ask for Testnet Bitcoin and up to 3 tBTC?

Testnet Bitcoin. Activate, experience it, but don't trade and get scammed
There are few faucets for Testnet Bitcoin but you have to check them out yourself.
2753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fall of fiat|Rise of Bitcoin on: December 25, 2021, 03:13:56 PM
Fiats always fall in all nations because governments have common characteristics. They are greedy to support their power and they approve to print more fiats to support economy and satisfy short term needs of citizens.

In long run, they cause inflation and since pandemic we have hyper inflation. I don't believe people who received airdropped money during pandemic don't feel happy in a moment. They just don't realize that something bad is coming in long run.

2754  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcointalk Charity and its funds on: December 25, 2021, 02:45:18 PM
Previously, I told about it there

I opposed all three flags but as said, I thought something bad were done by three guys but to say they scam, I don't think so. I want to say a few more things and honestly, I don't involve in this charity and their activities.

  • I forgot to mention that months ago, not sure when (it is too long already), cabalism13 asked me that whether I can help him to do charity activities in Vietnam. I said No, because of few reasons:
    • I don't have time to manage such operations
    • It's pandemic and I have elderly in my family so that I can not put them under risk if I hang out for charity and bring the virus back to infect them. It's not right
    • Running a charity requires lot of things, I know that because I have joined many of charity activities. Because I do neither have time for lots of steps in a whole procedure, I only donate money to charity, to people I trust if I want to help
    • This invitation of cabalism13 probably was sent around the same period when he sent BTC to Croatia and malboroza, I knew it. However, honestly I did not know his charity received 1 BTC from a very generous donator
  • About issues in this charity, something are bad in operations and should be managed better.
  • However, it already happened. I don't think it is good to ask for all receipts for purchases months or 2 years ago. I myself, never keep such things for too long. Of course, some leftovers can be found that are what you can expect from this charity.
  • As charity operators, they should imagine of such things, have skills and plans for good management. Anyway, it already happened and it is unfair to say they are scam only because they did not keep receipts, etc.
  • I don't expect such transparent things when I donate my money to charity. I donate to many sources and not only to this charity, just told you so. I am not rich but it is what I did and please don't ask me to show you proof of my donations
  • Not only for this charity team, but for other teams want to run such things: this is a good lesson, do things transparently, spreadsheets for all activities, expenses, receipts, reports with signature between charity and receivers, etc. Such things help to make charity actually better and you will be free from accusation. If you feel that you can not do so (example you are careless guys), don't operate any charity from donated fund. If you want to do charity, use your own money. It's best for all!

A bit off-topic

In my nation, about 4 months ago, a same drama happened which (in my opinion) was triggered by someone related to government. Then people ask about receipts, invoices, audits, etc. I know there are good and bad charity operators but that drama put all charity operators under pressure, and wasted their time for reports to the community. Even those activities happened 2 or 3 years ago.

It is crowd or herd effects, I meant.

Consequently, locals have less intention to do charity now. It's bad for disadvantaged people but looks good for governmental-backed foundations. I don't like it, frankly.
2755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can upload pictures bitcointalk thred on: December 25, 2021, 01:35:59 PM
You can buy a copper membership from here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote
Read more about Copper membership. Many members bought the Copper membership but did not know that they have options to wear it or not wear it.

So please read this guide post from theymos as well
Once you have it, you get the choice:

2756  Other / Archival / Re: Own confession of ban evading on: December 21, 2021, 05:14:23 PM
What Welsh said is true and should do in investigation and processing of ban evading cases.

As staff, moderator, they can not solely rely on what is given by any forum member. They have to collect report from community members, double check it with forum data in their level of access, and might have to file their findings and report to global moderator or admin to handle permanent ban if necessary.

If they don't go through such complicated and long procedure, they can approve fake report from bad people who simply do personal attacks against members they don't like.

What if tomorrow, when I wake up, my account was banned and someone else created a newbie account to admit, hey my previous account is tranthidung was banned hours ago. I completely admit that I actually plagiarized and deserve that ban. Today, I create a new account to keep using the forum.

Such attack can harm my chance to appeal for my second chance, IF staff, moderator does not do their own research. Their decision can be seriously biased.
2757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: United Wholesale Mortgage To Accept Bitcoin This Year on: December 21, 2021, 05:05:50 PM
That's quite interesting! Because US housing market is slowly forming a bubble now. So it's interesting to see how this company is going to use this coins or do they want to keep it for the unforeseen times. There have been a lot of talks ongoing regarding a possible market crash so I belive this is a plan B for the United Wholesale Mortgage.

It's probably triggered out of their own forecast of business and from the evaluation of the market and its future possibilities. Quite good for the market.
They have to make good reserve for case Bitcoin has crashes. I am fully aware that in long run, Bitcoin is very bullish but as a company, they have to get big reserve, just in case something goes wrong, not only with Bitcoin but other things with their company as well.

In long run, crashes today can become very minor changes on price chart a few years later but short term, such crashes are terrible for people who involve with and don't have plan B for expenses, operational cost, reserve, etc.
2758  Other / Meta / Re: How do you check plagiarism? on: December 21, 2021, 04:54:59 PM
A few tools to check plagiarism

When you see a poster usually make shit posts and one-lined posts but suddenly make a long post. It is good signal of something strange and perhaps wrong. Then you can use Google search to quickly find plagiarism. If you want to dig deeper, use tools.

Fortunately, most of shitposters commit plagiarism very clearly so you don't need any special tool to detect them. Google search is enough.
2759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn a free BTC? on: December 21, 2021, 04:48:02 PM
Depends on your skills, you can have jobs or not and salary rate.
2760  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk project Reserve fund. on: December 21, 2021, 04:25:39 PM
@theymos and the other administrators of this forum can come up with such a policy such as what we have with the forum banners space where new projects that require the services and investment of members of this forum deposits a certain amount in a forum escrow account where all unsettled payments and refunds are made from in the case of the project not succeeding or an exit scams.
If it is about ads banner in banner space, forum has it already. However I guess what you implied is signature campaign and signature space.
If projects want to run ads banners in banner space, they have to join auction, go through verification of theymos and they have to make deposit as well.

Quote
What this will result in is!
1: Eradication of scam projects from this forum
Scam is not moderated on the forum. There are trust, feedback and DT gangs help to do it but it is more likely community-led actions.

Quote
2: easy means of addressing any issue coming from
investors and staffs and project team
Forum does not involve in project's issues. I don't think it should have such connections to any project.

Quote
3: project team will have a sense of responsibility to put in they best to push the project to succeed.
I don't see too strong correlation here. Scam projects if run by big teams, they can spend big budget for marketing in order to successfully attract naive investors and steal bigger money from those people.

If they have good strategies to scam, a small deposit to the forum for advertisement don't prevent or stop them to scam others.
