1761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Taking the awareness of crypto and Btt forum to the youths on: August 20, 2022, 02:10:35 AM
The desire to help these young people navigate through a career path in the crypto sphere through this forum is my vision to accomplish. I want my friends and well-wishers to know about crypto.
This forum is a good place to start learning about Bitcoin, cryptocurrency (alternate cryptocurrency) and some helpful supplementary such as security, privacy, etc.

If one can learn and mature well in knowledge and skills from the forum, I am sure there will be lot of opened gates in crypto career. Just I hope nobody grows from this forum will turn to be a scammer. Building up yourself here and find jobs here or beyond it, but please don't use your reputation here to scam elsewhere.

Quote
That's why I came up with the plan to introduce and tell the youths about crypto, the forum and the rules and regulations governing it.
The youths are future of the world and cryptocurrency world too. The Bitcoin demographics will become younger and younger with time and it will help the increasing adoption of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
1762  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin becomes generally adopted, will 21million btc be enough for everyone? on: August 20, 2022, 01:49:49 AM
To answer this question, you should read
Creating more Bitcoin in total supply does not create value and reduce the total supply does not automatically result in higher value. You can find altcoins with less than 21M in total supply but they don't have higher value than Bitcoin.

I mean
  • Inflation: Increasing total supply ~ value decrease
  • Decrease supply like some altcoins # value increase
1763  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: How can I import Blockchain.Com Wallet in Bitcoin Core ? on: August 19, 2022, 11:34:49 AM
Bitcoin Core does not support seed phrase but you can get private key from your Blockchain.com wallet, and import it into Bitcoin Core or Electrum wallet.

  • [Guide] Use CPFP if your stucked transactions from blockchain.com wallet
  • Similar steps as written in that topic.
  • I don't know Blockchain.com wallet supports to export private key or not, if it does not support, you can import it to Electrum first and from Electrum, you can get private key. Use private key to import it to Bitcoin Core. A little bit indirect solution.
1764  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are candlestick patterns overrated? on: August 19, 2022, 08:44:04 AM
Don't believe in candlestick patterns or any model because it is a way whales set up traps for the crowd exclusively unprofessional and newbie investors, traders.

If there are things you should pay your attention and time on, it should be on-chain statistics and analytics. Although, it takes more time, months to set up on-chain statistics but it needs more time than candlestick patterns. Therefore you can have a better view based on on-chain stats.

Don't base on anything for your decisions, simply because of only one thing. Let's look at fundamentals and reasons why you invest in Bitcoin, and stay with that. Keep up your belief in Bitcoin and its fundamentals.
1765  Other / Archival / Re: Table of commissions of well-known exchanges on: August 17, 2022, 02:25:35 AM
That is not correct, it's a typo or a mistake. If you click on withdrawal on Binance, the fee would be zero dollars, but immediately you paste your address, the fee would be indicated below, just like in the below image. In deposit, legacy and segwit addresses are separated, but both are not separated if you want to withdraw and the withdrawal fee are the same.
Nice try, thanks!

Anyway, checking with Wayback Machine, they reduced withdrawal fees for Bitcoin. Likely they only changed since 2020.

Binance do not separate legacy and segwit withdrawal fee, even if it is separated, I expect segwit address withdrawal fee to be cheaper, not other way.
Logically it should be like that but if exchanges, exclusively Binance, take a couple of years to integrate Native Segwit to their exchanges, everything is possible.
1766  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question on leverage on: August 16, 2022, 02:52:14 AM
i was wondering if you start out with 100 dollars starting balance and you use 10 leverage and you manage to blow your account, are you liable to pay the full 1000 dollars that leverage gave you?
  • Don't use leverage if you are newbies in crypto market and don't know how difficult it is.
  • Don't use leverage because you think it is an easy way to get rich. In fact, it is easiest way to get poorer.
  • Don't use leverage (any leverage x2, x5, x10 or x100) if you don't know with a specific leverage, at what price you will be liquidated
Each exchange has its own formula for liquidation so you must read it, and answer above questions. Most important, identify your liquidation price.
1767  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to detect fraudulent websites. on: August 16, 2022, 02:34:47 AM

Basically you don't have to know too much to avoid phishing attacks. You only simply ignore strange email, strange links, DMs from strangers. That is a very good preventive approach.

In addition, spend a few minutes to do test
1768  Other / Archival / Re: Table of commissions of well-known exchanges on: August 16, 2022, 01:42:57 AM
I checked Binance bitcoin withdrawal fee, it is 0.0005 BTC on the site in the OP, but the present Binance bitcoin withdrawal fee is 0.0002 BTC. I thought Binance has increased the fee back to 0.0005 BTC, I checked the present bitcoin withdrawal fee on Binance just now, it is still 0.0002 BTC. It was reduced to 0.0002 BTC two or three months ago.
Always, third party sites are only for reference. Whatever they provide, you should not trust them completely. After you get a summary information from them, you must visit a specific exchange for double checking.

You info is still not correct. For now, if you check at Binance's Deposit & Withdrawal fees, they charge two different fee for Bitcoin and Bitcoin (Segwit). What you talked about is Bitcoin Legacy, not Bitcoin Native Segwit. I guess (I could be wrong) that they did not change anything.

  • Each withdrawal will be charged with 0.0005 BTC as fee.
1769  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be aware of private key thief’s on: August 15, 2022, 07:45:55 AM
This is should be aware of most since if you are a guy keeping details on the phone, you should be careful when you lend your friends your phone.
Smart phones are mobile devices and you will bring them to more locations than with your PC or laptops. You will use your phones to connect to more public Internet connections and do more vulnerable activities in security aspect.

On smart phones, usually people are less care about security and less Internet Security or Antivirus softwares are used by people for their phones.

Together, they make phones are more vulnerable for your cryptocurrency (wallets, assets, ie.)

If you store your cryptocurrency on phone, only store a small part you have. That small part is for convenient usages in life. For big part, store it on your PC, at home is the best. Don't store it in your PC at your company.

1771  Other / Meta / Re: Campaign to improve posting quality for local boards on: August 15, 2022, 05:01:34 AM
And oh, that pyramid-quote suggestion....that's more important than you think.  I swear, if someone quotes a bunch of text that need not have been quoted, I'll often not even consider meriting that post, even if it's decent.  People don't like to scroll through shit they shouldn't have to, so that's an excellent point.
Pyramid- or nested-quotes are sort of lazy way of posting. It mostly comes from spammers and such reply usually has very low quality.

Sometimes we need to quote other posts (even nested ones) for fully transparent, avoid censorship etc. but mostly we don't have to use nested quotes.

1772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: August 15, 2022, 04:02:59 AM

1773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ancient anonymous whales are there? on: August 14, 2022, 09:53:33 AM
It is easier to mine Bitcoin in early days of Bitcoin network but not all of miners and even investors in early days actually managed to keep up access to their wallets.

Later they lost their Bitcoin and it is not absolutely correct but from hodl waves, you can estimate millions of Bitcoin likely was lost.

Depends on what you use to estimate lost Bitcoin: 5yr+ or 3yr+, the possible lost Bitcoin accounts for 11% to 25% of circulating supply.

1774  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I have learned about Bitcoin on: August 14, 2022, 05:43:24 AM
This may have been discussed many times but I believe also that Demand and Supply are the two main factors that affect Bitcoin pricing
In long term, yes it is correct.

In short term, it is incorrect. Price of Bitcoin is not solely depended on Supply and Demand but seriously depends on price manipulation, forced liquidations. If you don't believe me, you can check price spikes with high trading volume, within those times Supply and Demand is not a main factor but pressure from forced liquidations on exchanges are.
1775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CHINA is against the crypto But JAPAN is Supporting crypto echo system . on: August 14, 2022, 04:15:27 AM
China news for ban, restriction, regulation on cryptocurrency nowadays have less effects than in the past.

Because Bitcoin miners and cryptocurrency exchanges have gradually moved out of China recent years [1]. I don't say no effects at all but much smaller and less dramatic than in the past.

That nation is a dictatorship so you can not expect their governments do things for goods of their citizens. Governmental decisions there are very biased and keened on the benefit of governments.

You can search and find answers by yourself

Because the question has been asked many times and been answered many times as well.

Try to search before asking.
1777  Other / Meta / Re: Btt logins on phone browser on: August 13, 2022, 02:26:03 PM
I. Try to memorize your password.
You should not do this.

Because if your approach is memorize (remember) your password, it is very likely that you will use a same password for many accounts, on many platforms. That's odd enough.

In addition, in Bitcointalk, you should sign a Bitcoin message from your non custodial wallet

1779  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mastering the market movement is what aid profits and not the price. on: August 13, 2022, 11:45:11 AM
many will always complain of losses during a bear market
There are winners and losers at the same time in the market. So in bear market, most of people are in pain and loses but there are a few people who see opportunities in bear market and they take it, wait for rally or next bull run to have profit.

You don't have to master or beat the market. What you should do is learning fundamentals of what you intend to invest in, then master your psychology. If you choose a good asset and made due diligent research to understand it well and can master your psychology, you will win.
1780  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Upcoming release of funds to its creditors vs Btc Price on: August 13, 2022, 11:37:01 AM
I'm about up to nothing these days with Mt Gox news.
It is classic and natural life of news. The market gradually adapt to a same type of news. Initially and in first few times, it creates a lot of panic (mostly panic) but in later times, no panic or very few panic.

Mt. Gox: fear of dump. Sooner or later, very few people will be fearful about such risk
SEC reject for Bitcoin ETFs in 2018, 2019: previously people thought that the market dumps because of SEC-related news. Later, such news did not bring negative effects.
Consumer Price Index, etc in the USA: we are witnessing it but in last two times of such announcement, not dramatic fear and price dumps on the market.

Choose a good asset for your portfolio, understand about it (basics at least) and be strong!
