Glad to see he got his issue resolved.

Not surprised nobody from here not rushing to get one. ..or at least admitting to it if they did Smiley
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Btc transaction not verified after 3 days on: November 16, 2015, 08:51:31 PM
No working solution found so far, still giving 0,1 btc to anyone who can find a way to fix this.
Did mine not work? It should have removed the transaction so that you can spend.
When I typed "python pywallet.py --web" in cmd, it returned "'python' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
Any idea what I did wrong?
Looks to me like you don't have Python installed on the system your trying to run this fix from.

https://www.python.org/downloads/
Reinstalled Python and it still gives the same error.

Also, does it necessarily have to be Python 2.7 as stated in https://github.com/jackjack-jj/pywallet or can I use the newest version?
Definitely go with the v2.7 as stated in the github docs.

As to why it's giving you the same error I'm not entirely sure.  The error message your giving seems to indicate the OS can't find python on your system.  Do you currently have a path setup to your python directory?
Actually now after reinstalling Python I'm having a different error message:
"WARNING:root:pycrypto or libssl not found, decryption may be slow
'twisted' package is not installed, pywallet web interface can't be launched"
That error message is inidicative of a missing package.  If you refer to the instructions on github you'll see:

Windows:
 1. Install Python 2.7
 2. Install Twisted 11.0.0 for Py2.7, then Zope.Interface (a .egg file) for Py2.7: http://twistedmatrix.com/trac/wiki/Downloads

Of course a centralized API like this is a central point of failure but all it is doing is managing which entry point is online and ready to accept transactions. If it were brought down for some reason, it could be easily re instantiated and nothing would be effected, just slightly delayed. All of the actual incoming and outgoing processors rely solely on the sub chain to interact.

When we decentralize the anonymous network, we would also like to decentralize this list to run off its own block chain rather than an API / Database combination. That way we can keep a public record of all active entry points with no requirement for the API.

I'm currently tackling this issue along with how to verify the integrity of the distributed code in my prototype network.
Terrific. How about letting the rest of the community see the work in progress (and perhaps lend a hand) by putting work in progress in private repositorys on dedicated forum? We could even create our own select alpha testing group so you guys can start getting some user and developer feedback?

The issue is that until I have a secure solution working, releasing any of the code to the public could compromise the integrity of the currently operational anonymous network which relies on some parts being private to operate.

I will come back to you with a solution once I think of one.

Perhaps I start working with a benign network that we publicly test the concepts of what I'm trying to achieve rather than directly with the subchain.

Cheers,
Craig.
Thanks for the reply pakage.  Given what your saying about the potential to compromise the integrity of anon. network by releasing the private code it definitely sounds like implementing a 2nd 'benign' test network would definitely be the way to go.  No sense jeopardizing what we currently have in working form with regards to anon. if we don't have to imho.

287  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: State of mining on: November 15, 2015, 12:25:46 AM
I'm in Quebec, Canada.  I have heating oil in my home, and the is a program called bi-energy (because here pretty much all heating is electric, and all our electric is hydroelectric).  so warmer than -12celcius = little less than 0.05, and colder its 0.23 cents or something.  so when its colder i switch the heating oil on.  Of course you have initial fee to pay, etc but yeah its pretty cheap.  even at 0.23 cents, I can underclock the miner and still come out profitable.  even break even is okay, because you are heating the home too.  summer, well, its cheap so the garage is pretty hot when i mine.
Gotta love that hydro electric!!

Gotta say, wee bit jealous here. Smiley

huehuehue but now I have no more miners, i'm small scale.  had s1, 2xs3, an s5.  I sold them all.  maybe going to get an s7.
Very nice.  It amazes me just how energy efficient these units have gotten in such a short period of time.

Nav coins getting dumped faster than shares in oil drilling companies. It's becoming painfully obvious there is no interest in getting more community interest and participation in this coin.

Really close to taking it in the pocketbook and calling it a day myself sadly Cry

Yes sad times close to a million sold below 500 sat now.
Hard to believe it will turn around without Masternodes/Decent anon soon.

Agreed. Barring some wallet release that incorporates more than a phase 1 of 3 checkpoint or the devs allowing us to actually see what work is taking place I fear I'll be selling at 400 sat or below soon.
289  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Starting a new Bitcoin related business [Opinion Poll] on: November 14, 2015, 09:12:51 PM
Voted no as I'm relatively sure the nominal amount of BTC that would be received per e-mail ad wouldn't be worthwhile.

Hey there.  Just curious if anybody else is having issue(s) trying to send HZ from web-wallet to poloniex addresses?

None on my end. Make sure to include your public key that Poloniex provides, and include a message.
I did.  It's giving me a 'Invalid referenced transaction hash.' error message.

Oh wait, haven't tried sending it along with a message.  Giving it a try now.

Nope, attempting to send HZ with both encrypted and un-encrypted message yielding the same result :/

Any other suggestions?

back to the jan 2015 price.  Grin

ye it got sold as low as 478 that's pretty sad.

On the plus side finally some Volume ^^ . (Not much of a plus side imho)

On the minus side looks like .5 mln Nav just got dumped.

I would really like to see some progress on the Masternodes/Decent anon I think that's what most of us have been waiting for not Mobile wallets or new logo's. (Precisely the reason I keep asking the dev's to start posting work in progress for qualified members on the dedicated forum)

Also why have the percentages on the Website still not moved At all  what is the Point in having them and not updating it just makes it look like nothing is being done at all.

Also, I finally managed to get my wallet back online and staking however now I'm seeing that the market price API for nav price on poloniex appears to be failing.  Anybody else seeing nav at 0 satoshi's on polo market viewer (within the wallet)?
*Looks like the situation was only temporary while my wallet re-synched.  At this point I guess I have to just appreciate the small stuff :/

**Ok, this is really strange...now my Market Ticker data is 0 again for polo.  Anybody else experiencing this issue intermittent issue?

My pleasure. Sorry it wasn't happier news. :/
297  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Halving is coming next year, is it time to invest in more miners? on: November 12, 2015, 08:10:36 AM
Irrespective of what happens to the price, the amount of bitcoin earned per block will be cut almost exactly in half (since fees are variable).  The value of the coin may change compared to fiat but unless your operating costs get cut many will have to bow out.
Come on bitcoin.  You've got about 8.75 months to double or triple your value or the proverbial !@#$ is going to hit the mining fan and splatter a whole crap-ton of fecal matter on miners walls the world-over.

I myself wouldn't invest in any miners until after the halving honestly.  Far better to see what your prospective ROI will be once the halving has already occurred, and who knows, bitcoin has just as much chance of being worth far less than it is today as it does rocketing to the moon at this point imho.
298  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I invest? on: November 12, 2015, 08:02:48 AM
Every kind of investment has it's own risk, so invest in bitcoin also has it's own risk.
If you believe it's good investment, you should do it.

Yes every investment in our real world has some risks, it's true in bitcoin world also. i believe cloud mining would be some what profitable even it's has some risk and slow ROI. I prefer cloud mining if I have some bitcoins to spend.

cloud mining is the worst idea to invest in my opinion. 99% are scams, the rest will never ROI for you in a timely manner. I do not recommend it.

Yes, pretty much everyone except Hashnest which is a reputable, at least until now. Even with them it's hard and long to ROI! Bitcoin mining game is very unpredictable and with the upcoming halving I would just stay out of mining game completely!
+100, definitely advisable to stay away from mining of any sort at this point unless you can get your hands on some cheap enough gear to ROI < 8.5-9 months.  And as for cloud mining, avoid it like the plague.  As mentioned above the vast majority of them are absolute scam's of one sort or another.

Hi Fam,

I woke up today to a dead s4 Sad

I beleive we had a power outage or surge since I had to flick on the mains.

I've tried swapping out the power cord but I still have no power going to the miner.

No lights at all.

I've tried every forum search I could think of but haven't found anything helpful.

What should I do from here?

Please help! & Thanks!

If your PSU isn't displaying one of three colors (Green, Yellow, or Red) more than likely it's toast.
(source: http://www.mybtcpool.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/S4-PSU-AP188A-User-Guide.pdf)

To make sure it's the PSU that's fried rather than your S4 I would strongly recommend finding a suitable replacement PSU (even if it's just a loaner for the purpose of diagnosis)

Kind of curious as to how bit-x handles USD withdrawals at this point.  I'm also interested in trying out my bit-x travel card and just wondering of USD purchases are simply deducted from ones bit-x USD balance and if so what kind of fee's are associated with use?
