281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Binance be the next Ethereum? on: February 19, 2021, 04:19:29 PM
Hard feat but as I am seeing it now, it's not impossible. It really pains me to see Ethereum become unusable for me. I don't think I'll be using Ethereum for a while until they fix the issue with the fee and I know a lot of people will probably do the same so Binance is a good alternative when Ethereum is a pain to use right now.

Though it's the community that will still drive the top altcoins. If somehow loyal Ethereum users got sick of using Ethereum, then Binance might have a chance.
282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone bought BTC at $6K yesterday at an exchange and they want it back on: February 18, 2021, 09:45:03 AM
I don't think he has no choice but to return it just like what you have said they know his address and name. But I think it's the exchange's fault and not the user the good thing to do is to maybe give the user a reward for returning the Bitcoin but if the buyer becomes greedy well I'm not sure what will be the PDAX's move after that.
He didn't cheat anyone. He saw a low sell order and bought it. It was exchange fault and alos seller's mistake.
He should nit be blamed for this.
That said, op must be considerate and return the BTC because it is not fair to take advantage of someone's mistake.

But a person's mistake, is another man's opportunity. That's how the world works, even true in trading. I believe that it's 100% at exchange fault since it's clear that the buyer didn't do anything against the exchange rules, in fact, it is stated that once a trade is done, then there's no turning back. I think what's more illegal is that they are forcing the buyer to return the money when he made the transaction legally.
283  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [PDAX] kung kailan nag ATH nag maintenance naman on: February 17, 2021, 09:18:59 AM
UPDATE: So eto na talaga siguro dahilan kung bakit bigla nila tinigil trading:

(source)
^ Ibabalik mo ba kung ikaw nasa lagay niya?

Nope.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will bitcoin cash overtakes etherum due to its unstable price [ new ] on: February 16, 2021, 01:01:56 PM
That BCH is just a small stunt. They won't overtake Ethereum, not a chance at all. It's more likely that Ethereum would be set aside by the new users of cryptocurrency because of the extremely high fee alone, and other famous crypto with smart contract would likely be attractive. Ethereum is just not user friendly for the new users at all, at least for now.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: America's oldest bank support bitcoin holding on: February 15, 2021, 02:56:43 PM
It's certainly a good news since it's a sign of acknowledgement from the bank. Though I don't know man, It sounds wrong to me. I mean, you're going to let a centralized system (which is the bank) takes control of a decentralized currency. Kind of defeats the purpose of being your own bank and at the same time you won't have complete control of your cryptocurrency.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally, privacy coins are moving on: February 14, 2021, 01:14:45 AM
With the news from regulators, privacy coins were not pumping at all for a long time. XMR was stable around $140 for a long time, so does DASH and other privacy coins too but today it is totally the privacy coins time. Dash was pumped more than 80%, XMR 30% and ZEC close to that.
Is there any good news for privacy coin? Why suddenly it’s getting increased?

I believe they've just been pump due to Bitcoin and other altcoins pumping. It's this time of the year again. I haven't really seen any news that's favorable to privacy coin so I guess it's just supply and demand playing it's game again.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee much higher than what I will be sending on: February 12, 2021, 02:11:40 PM
bitcoin and ethereum has a very high transactions fees now

This picture really says a lot about the current fees of Ethereum right now. I'm trying to use Ethereum to move tokens to other wallets but the fee is just absurd.

I really wish that I could exchange tokens to other less expensive coins like Doge or Tron, but I guess it'll only be just a dream.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UBER will start to transact with Bitcoin? on: February 11, 2021, 03:15:57 PM
The option of paying with Bitcoin is always welcome, but with such services there is always one small drawback when it comes to classic BTC transactions - waiting for the first confirmation.

If UBER really does this, I don't think it's 100% going to be pure Bitcoin transaction because that's really expensive to do and the negative part is the speed of the transaction. I can imagine that they are going to implement or partner themselves with a third-party mediator to convert Bitcoin to USD immediately. They might even implement a wallet inside UBER app to store Bitcoin just in case you want to use it. Though it's just my speculation.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla buys 1.5 BILLION worth Bitcoins !! Good or Bad ? on: February 09, 2021, 02:16:15 AM
How is this going to be bad news? more companies holding Bitcoin as an asset means less volatility for the whales to manipulate. Price fluctuation will lessen and there's going to be less dumping that's going to happen. This news is such a win-win situation for all.

If anything, bitcoin held by people not trading and who are using it as part of their portfolio and asset allocation decreases volatility.

People should realize this now, especially those people who are still negative about Bitcoin's volatility.
290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India makes ownership of Bitcoin criminal offense - How to respond? on: February 04, 2021, 12:05:54 PM
I don't get the bill though. It says that they will prohibit the use of Private cryptocurrencies in India but they are willing to promote the technology behind cryptocurrencies. Does that mean as long as you publicly tell the authorities that you are using cryptocurrency, it's ok? since it's not private anymore and you won't be able to hide it.

Or maybe they are prohibiting the use of other cryptocurrencies but willing to let people know about the use of cryptocurrencies because they want to create a cryptocurrency of their own for the Indians to use.
291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Report ETH for SCAM because $80 fees on: February 03, 2021, 11:45:20 PM
It's pretty obvious that you can't accuse ETH for it's extremely high fee. Just don't use ETH if you don't really need it. Almost all altcoins associated with ETH is suffering because of this fees so you should avoid ETH for now. We can only hope that DEV finds a way reducing this Fees significantly.
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Play dirty Game on: February 02, 2021, 10:48:49 AM
Aaaand I was right again. XRP dumping isn't really unexpected. The pump was artificial due to famous pump and dump group WallSteetBets, and a couple of famous news site. Those who got FOMOed and bought at peak are probably crying right now.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HAHA! XRP haters missing out on: February 01, 2021, 03:44:57 AM
I knew XRP would pump sooner or later. I said it last week so I bought as soon as possible. Though this doesn't change the fact that they still have a messed up situation against SEC. I'm pretty sure soon there's going to be a massive dump after this just like what happened to Doge.
294  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BREAKING NEWS! Philippine Central Bank Widens Cryptocurrency Regulation on: January 30, 2021, 04:24:57 PM

295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt season start in 3...2...1 on: January 30, 2021, 11:08:12 AM
WallStreetBets is actually quite huge. No wonder Doge coin pump so much for a couple of hours. Streamers and giant youtubers are talking about them so I wouldn't be surprised if they suddenly pump XRP for the sake of pumping it and memes.
296  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Almost lost all of my coins in an exchange last week on: January 30, 2021, 09:52:22 AM
It's unlikely that it's an inside job since it's Binance. Good thing you got your assets out though. Next time, just don't use any exchange as a wallet since they are easy to compromise. Binance is prone to hacking in my opinion because of the recent hacking events.

If you were selecting an exchange for the long hold (beside using hard wallet) which one would you trust better?

I wouldn't trust any. Any centralized exchanges are prone to hacking. CEX isn't even for long hold anyway. Just buy a hard wallet. It's better to lose convenience that losing your assets.

297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most discreet way to hide your crypto from thieves? on: January 29, 2021, 04:05:17 PM
Is it for short term holding? or long term holding, like you're not going to move your Bitcoin anytime soon? because you can just store your Bitcoin in a paper wallet then print that, delete every traces, and hide it in an atic. If you're hardcore, you can tattoo your private key in your thigh or something  Grin

Though I mean first of all, don't tell anyone that you are into crypto. if you can't help it, at least tell it to someone you can truly trust. Most people would bother you especially when Bitcoin is being so famous right now.
298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk adds #Bitcoin to his Twitter bio on: January 29, 2021, 03:56:47 PM
This is funny because even though he might be positive about Bitcoin, we all know that he is also just memeing about it. Though this memes he does has so much impact. I hope he keeps doing though. Stupid people buying because of a single hashtag is food for the traders.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an investment on: January 28, 2021, 08:23:11 AM
I'd just advice you to just hold it since it seems like you aren't really need it and you're not a trader but a long-term investor. You're at a gain anyway and it seems like Bitcoin has a strong support in its back this 2021, you won't have any problem reaching your entry price level again.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] Poolz DeFi - 25000 POZ Reward Pool (ENDED) on: January 27, 2021, 10:00:35 AM
25000 * 18 = 450 000 $ The team owes the hunters today! Will we be silent further?
Their promise is even more difficult to fulfill when the Poolz price is high. Many campaigns they can pay quickly for bounty hunters when the price is cheap, but carefully consider when the price is high. The best settlement method, they pay ETH or USDT right at current prices. Bounty hunters who like the project can buyback POOLZ which contributes to the price boost.

It's actually not that hard to pay. The fact that they had put 25000 as a bounty reward means that they are prepared to give out that amount once bounty campaign finishes. There's really no excuse to delay payments since bounty hunters fulfilled their job. This kind of behavior is super shady.

Successful campaigns like this is hard to find so it would really suck if this turns out to be a scam. I hope they sort this out.
