281  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is it possible to run Bitcoin node on my HP Intel i7 on: March 06, 2024, 08:21:45 PM
, If you were going to do it for profit, you should just stop right here.
Definitely am stoping right here. Now I understand what it really means to run a node. If running a node makes one not to depend on theirs party , it seems to be really good but it's resources consuming.

It is not very consuming to be honest and it does really worth what you pay as an electricity bill you are getting the benefits like being independent from third-party servers to validate your transaction details and you can hide your IP too by running via TOR.

But there are no financial benefits like miners while running a node.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indirect victims of gambling addiction on: March 06, 2024, 06:38:40 PM
There are gamblers who are not addicted to gambling or atleast they are aware of their limits.

And this thread is only about the addicted ones who get themselves caught in difficult situation which does reflect on their family too , wife/husband, parents and sometimes siblings too depends on the age category.

It's hard but that's the truth so everyone who wants to get short term pleasure should be cautious while approaching or else they could be lead to loss of their joy in their life.

Yeah I've been kicked out of a couple of exchanges before but it's always a month+ after the casino transactions and they always let you withdraw your balance.  I didn't think reputable exchanges would just steal your money because you gambled with it.  I just didn't want to install hot wallets for all those shitcoins that I only bought for bitvest purposes, but I just found one software wallet that can handle all 3 of them.  So I cancelled the withdrawals and will re-do them sending to my software wallet.

Sorry to derail this thread...

But you haven't kicked out of exchanges because of you gambled with it since there is no way of finding them the rewards are coming from your deposits or rewards of a won bet but it's just due to their policy that prohibits accepting deposits from casino as a preventive measure for money laundering which I don't know how effective in stopping the launders but it's existing policy so you should not experiment against it.

Unstoppable wallet is one of the open sourced multi crypto wallet that supports top altcoins which you can try as well.
284  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is a block equivalent to a bitcoin on: March 04, 2024, 06:39:35 AM
Nope. A block is set of transactions that is included by the miners which meets their criteria generally the transactions with higher fees.

For example the block 833067 included 2925 TXs

In the above picture you can see how much the miners made which is fees + block reward.
285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 2-month-old transaction still unconfirmed, stuck in mempool on: March 04, 2024, 03:17:15 AM
But I remember RBF differently from what you say. With RBF and especially with Full-RBF you can broadcast a replacement transaction that will superseed the existing transaction with additional inputs if you want and completely other outputs if you want that too, as long as you pay a larger fee for the replacement transaction.

It's an accepted double spend that doesn't get dropped by RBF aware nodes and which invalidates the older unconfirmed transaction which is completely replaced by the new one (paying higher fees!).

That's only possible when you perform Full RBF it allows the user to change any aspect of the transaction and thus include output addresses too but I am not aware of any wallet that has a built in feature to do that, we have to manually sign in the transaction and then broadcast it but with the conventional RBF aka the RBF we see in wallets like electrum where we can only increase the fees and it doesn't allow changing the output address but if we opt out the cancel (double spending) we can change the output address while paying a higher fee than the original transaction.

Hi, I might be intruding here but is there a chance to know whether there has been an update on anonymouscoward case? I first saw his post at the start of this month but he said that the pending withdrawal started at the end of January and according to his post on February 19, his withdrawal is still pending.

I have sent a message to anonymouscoward on the site, and asked to open a support ticket, as an large amount, I am asking for extra confirmation, as in replying with your addresses in the support ticket along with the withdrawal made, to be sure it isn't one of those temporary addresses, and/or exchange.

I have yet to receive a response, but will process them as soon as possible, when I get the reply.

Oh I didn't realize the site had DMs!  I just replied now and confirmed all the addresses for my pending requests dated Jan. 27, 2024 23:34-23:47.  The ETH/LTC/BCH goes to an exchange but that exchange doesn't expire addresses unless you generate more than 5 for the same token.  The bitcoins I just hodl.

It's good to see that Lightlord is responding to the people queries.

As far as I know, most exchanges prohibits deposits from casino accounts for due to AML regulations so no matter it's BTC or LTC just don't send from casino to exchange account and it may end up terminating your exchange account with all the balance on hold or possible to withdraw depends on the exchange's policy.
287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Work Now May Not Work Tomorrow on: March 03, 2024, 06:11:19 PM
Pattern, particular game or particular casino giving profits is superstitious not really a strategy because theoretically you can't keep winning the bets no matter what unless you found technical glitch and decided to exploit it but due to the better security of modern era casinos those glitches doesn't last very long and even all the bets using that technical issue will be voided and cancel any rewards made from it.
288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: 2-month-old transaction still unconfirmed, stuck in mempool on: March 03, 2024, 04:50:11 PM
RBF or CPFP doesn't allow the output address to be changed so it's not going to be useful for OP. As suggested importing the wallet to Electrum and see if the coins are available for spending, most likely yes considering the fee used is well within the purging limit and 2 month is very long time for any nodes to keep the transactions unless the wallet provider does keep rebroadcasting the transaction again and again until it confirms.
289  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Wallet Spectator on: March 03, 2024, 01:03:56 AM
Bitcoin transactions are irreversible, once the transaction is confirmed.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Try to stick to your instincts as a gambler on: March 03, 2024, 12:49:50 AM
You will be happy if the things as you expected so the important thing to remember here is you didn't lose anything that should keep you happy for now. And better not to look at the results of the games you decided to avoid such regrets or if you just want to go by your instincts then what really made you to cash out in the 83rd minute?

You can't live life with ifs and buts so don't make it as habit of blaming yourself when you can't do anything to change what already happened.
291  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Stupid newbie question, but can I make copies of my wallet? on: March 02, 2024, 10:12:36 PM
I'm in the process of creating a new wallet and I'm still deciding on how to proceed this time around. I was thinking on getting a sole 2fa wallet or standard wallet instead of getting a multi-sig again.

But hypothetically would I be able to just have one wallet and make multiple copies of it and then put it on cold storage? I would only use the wallet in the event of moving my crypto back to the exchange to sell it.

Electrum 2FA is nothing but 2 of 3 multi-sig wallets while one of the co-signers will be provided by a third-party company called trusted coin and you need to pay more to avail of their service. So if you just wants a multi-signature wallet and aren't interested in trusting a third party then simply go for a multi-signature wallet instead of 2FA.

You can't convert multi sig wallet into a single sig wallet so you need to have each of its own kind f you want different types. But for cold storage multi sig is highly recommended.

When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?

If someone is that much irresponsible to bet the entire savings amount on gambling for whatever reason then I don't think it's acceptable at all and divorce maybe the right decision for our sake. I don't think we need to tolerate that kind of partner for entire life because it will turn into hell of a life in the earth itself. And talking about savings it is always good to save the money individually instead of pooling with your partner but when they are in financial needs for something essential then it's indeed to help.
Gambling could be fund if we usually make profits anytime we gamble. If we usually lose money in gambling, we need to check our pattern of gambling so we don't need to keep losing for nothing sake. It is very important to review our gambling history and try to know what could be wrong with us why we don't earn from gambling. Everything sometimes do falls to luck and we need to be aware of the kind of games we are playing so that we don't end up keep losing and complaining. If we don't have luck in some particular games, ut is good we avoid such kind of games and move to the next one without think twice.

Luck is something beyond our imagination, we can assume that particular game or set of games we are losing other than that everything is going fine but luck doesn't work like that, it can change all of a sudden and you could win 100K lottery with $2 dollar ticket and that too happens even if you didn't expect to win at all. What we can do is to limit out betting money under our control and don't get tempted when someone is winning and you lost it all for that month.

294  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seeds Bitcoin on: March 02, 2024, 05:11:44 PM
I can remember two instances.

One with my Electrum wallet that I used for small storage on my Android, I had the backup seeds but somehow I didn't remember where I kept and it came to acknowledge just before factory resetting my Android for spare service like battery or something, luckily that account still logged in and I rewrote the seed words from the app itself.

Another one is related to a shitcoin, the name of the project I can't find and it happened in the ICO era, the $10 worth of tokens went to moon-like 20x or 50x but I was never able to find the seeds and its forever lost. Smiley
295  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: I found an old disk wallet.dat but on: March 01, 2024, 08:29:17 PM
What comes to my mind after reading this is when people buy wallet.dat file that shows balance but can't able to decrypt it. Smiley

Did you really find the file on the old disk as you claim or someone sold that to you?
296  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: myNode support on telegram. Is is awful ? on: March 01, 2024, 06:49:39 PM
First of all, why do you need support to run your Bitcoin node?

How to run and operate your own bitcoin node, here is a guide which explains how to run your own node and if someone asking your private keys then they are trying to scam you so don't fall for such silly traps.
297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it possible to inherit a gambling debt? on: March 01, 2024, 04:58:03 AM
The high rate of gamblers who take loan for gambling purposes is quite alarming, and most of them are fathers to kids. Most of them don't end up taking care of their debt before passing. What happens to the funds, when the lender comes for his money? It's quite a tough one for a person who isn't a gambler to inherit a trouble from a gambling dad. Such things also increase the anger of the society on gamblers, because the addicts are, also, good at extending their problem gambling to other close relatives. Could it be talked through in the law court?

If father has any assets in possession and kids inherit then surely lenders will come back at the one who inherited the assets to collect what the father owes and if it's banking loan then it's already regulated and they gave the loan based on some collateral so if the debt hasn't been paid then most likely the assets will be seized.

Other kind of lenders like loan sharks will come at your face and do what needed to be done to get their money at the end of the day loan has to be paid no matter what.
298  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Few cons to be aware of before going into Bitcoin on: March 01, 2024, 01:37:44 AM
...

Technically it's double spending the unconfirmed coins to one of our addresses but in Electrum it's terms as Cancel that is somewhat confusing to people who don't know what it actually is cause once the transaction is broadcasted there is no way to cancel the transaction even with zero confirmation, it can be dropped/purged from the network then we can reuse the funds again.
299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: your perception about gambling on: February 29, 2024, 07:33:45 PM
Religiously speaking, gambling is prohibited in every kind of religion that is followed by majority.

Let's talk about the perception, yes people consider who regularly gambles are irresponsible and jobless but do they ever really had thought about how they can afford to gamble if they are not making any money from it? I am not talking about the ones who gamble with others money like from their parents salary and those who does that really deserves that kind of critics and they should not be allowed to continue with such behaviour because they know the importance of money only when they are making it and they will be responsible when it comes to their hard earned money.

So it all depends on the individuals not simply the gambling itself.

It's annoying that my withdrawals are getting flagged for manual review and I have to wait it out for a day.
There are some suspicious things that can trigger their automatic tools to flag your account. Then to be sure, they will go next with manual review and investigation, it's for good of your account.

Did you contact their live support?
https://duelbits.com/support

If their staff said you have to wait, which I guess they will tell you so, please wait.

You will have result and notification from them when the review is completed.

So anyone using casino better not to use VPN or just have a dedicated paid proxy IP if you guys feel privacy is that much important.
