Ok, thanks, found a problem. GT 630 is 2.1 only Sad
Is there any miner, which supports 2.1 compute?..
try compiling it for 2.1

New exe file to test. Compiled with compute 30,35,50,52

-faster lyra 12% (Most of the improvement done by Klaus_t)
-faster quark 10%
-fixed HW errors in x11
-fixed compute 3.0 cards.(untested.)

x11, x13, x15 a little bit faster. (Optimized Skein)

The 21th public beta(windows executable) is available here: (21-12-2014)

http://www.filedropper.com/ccminer21

The sourcecode is available here:

https://github.com/sp-hash/ccminer

SP_ and Linux-

I keep reading good things in the thread about v21.  When I visited your github site, I noticed that your Windows branch and your Linux branch were not equally developed.  Do any of your branches (Linux, Windows, Master) compile correctly on Ubuntu 14.04+ ?  Are they all equally developed, or at the same version level?       --scrypter
just compile from winblows branch. dunno why he makes it so complicated...

Has anyone succeded in getting 2 GPUs -AMD 6950 \ 7970 working with X13 algo?
If so please show me your config file!

I've tried the kernel x13modold and it doesnt work...

any advice?Huh
it does, even with 5??? cards
tell us what isnt working. provide more details.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] sgminer v5 - optimized X11/X13/NeoScrypt/etc. kernel switching miner on: December 20, 2014, 01:16:05 PM
By the way the latest version of lyra2RE (which should be slightly faster than the one in metalicjames, better groestl256 and one round blake256) can be found here:
https://github.com/djm34/sgminer

Where does one find compiled win32 or 64 binaries of this? Or is there too much sadistic pleasure in making software illiterate GPU rig operators have to figure out how to compile it themselves?  Shocked
learn to compile or ditch winblows

Which of the following nightly builds do I need for Xubunty 14.04LTS - https://nightly.privacysolutions.no/Anoncoin-Linux - I got the top one build 100 and get the following error

Code:
./anoncoin-qt: error while loading shared libraries: libdb_cxx-5.1.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I've installed
Code:
libudev-dev

I used to use the Ubuntu launchpad but can't seem to find a link to it anymore?

Found the launchpad and just used that - https://launchpad.net/~anoncoin/+archive/ubuntu/anoncoin - you should advertise that on your website.  As it will make things a lot easier for the average *buntu user.
installing libudev when you need libdb wont help. i told meeh its a bad idea to link to db 5.1, verify that your anoncoin binary is linked to libdb4.8.
286  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: December 16, 2014, 05:40:01 PM
I am a returning Armory user.  I moved to Blockchain but they have not kept up so I'm back.
I loaded up the latest version, .92.3 and predictably it took overnight, plus some to download the blockchain.  I'm on a new laptop so it had to do it from scratch.
I let it sit for a few days and just today I made a hot wallet.  Now it tells me it's going to take another 7 hours to build databases.  I thought it already did this on the initial download.  Is this normal?

Yes the disk is doubled now because people were complaining about memory

Pretend I'm a 5 year old.
Armory is importing the Bitcoin blockchain to its own format. This way it needs less RAM, hence it runs better on small devices.

HEAD@windows never submits any shares.
you need to use --diff 128 (if it is related to lyra2re)
tested with x11 and x13. i see a big hashrate increase, tough never any submitted shares.
Works here. Is this on linux? wich card?
yes on linux.
GTX 680 SOC which is unfortunately not compute 5

The head on Gtihub only works for compute 3.5 cards or newer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CUDA

If you have 3.0 you can use the tvpovet version:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=770064.0

thanks.

291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Datacoin] Datacoin blockchain start announcement (Minor code upd + logo) on: December 14, 2014, 11:31:04 PM
Yes, a torrent system based on Datacoin would be amazing, even though there is other alternatives. It is worth it because it is raw data in the blockchain, not metadata.
...

In order to have a censorship protected torrent catalog we have to store database that consists of entries of the following structure:

1. magnet link
2. creative work metadata (movie title, actors, ...)
3. torrent metadata (video quality, video length, codec, ...)

Creative work metadata are widely presented in the Web and I don't think we have to copy them into the blockchain. We can use linked data instead: links to wikidata/imdb/rottentomato/... and to other data we can download and parse easily.

...

Technically this is enogh to rebuild a very rich media database on each PC having blockchain downloaded: all details can be requested from wikidata, imdb and other external sources.

User can browse and query such a database locally by title, actors' names, video quality, audio language etc. Clicking on magnet link he will start a download with his torrent client.

This work will require a lot of manual work to establish relations between magnet links and wikidata/imdb/rottentomatos/... databases because existing TPB data are very unstructured. Volunteers doing this work can be compensated in DTC by commutiny.

Any thoughts?
good idea, tough rating is needed for torrents.

What is the purpose of having rating?
to identify fakes without downloading them.

Yes, a torrent system based on Datacoin would be amazing, even though there is other alternatives. It is worth it because it is raw data in the blockchain, not metadata.

I've started a year ago implementing torrent catalog inside Datacoin blockchain. You can see some drafts using oocook5u's datacoin-browser in testnet: http://localhost:8080/dtc-testnet/get/ad4f39667cbdccc51da2bdbe857e036d62ee6240005d554ac614cddf8f1cc20d (wait until it will reach 21340th block). You need to run dtc-http-server.pl to check this.

I think this is the time to restart this work from scratch. Here is my proposal:

In order to have a censorship protected torrent catalog we have to store database that consists of entries of the following structure:

1. magnet link
2. creative work metadata (movie title, actors, ...)
3. torrent metadata (video quality, video length, codec, ...)

Creative work metadata are widely presented in the Web and I don't think we have to copy them into the blockchain. We can use linked data instead: links to wikidata/imdb/rottentomato/... and to other data we can download and parse easily.

Below is an example of such an entry created from TPB item (13127745/Star-Wars-Episode-V-The-Empire-Strikes-Back-1980-720p-6-1ch-BRRip-AAC-x264-GeekRG-Isohunt-to) with comments. I use JSON LD format and schema.org vocabulary. JSON LD seems to be a bit fat, schema.org needs to be extended for our task but I don't see better solution now.

Code:
{
   // Header: this is a video and a pointer to vocabulary
   "@type":"VideoObject",
   "@context":{
      "@vocab":"http://schema.org/"
   },
   // 1: Magnet link
   "contentUrl":"magnet:?xt=urn:btih:e6a1247014fac644a6487687f1ce14f20eecabc3&dn=Star+Wars+Episode+V+-+The+Empire+Strikes+Back+%281980%29+720p+6.1ch+BRRip+AAC+x264+-+%5BGeekRG%5D+%5BIsohunt.to%5D&xl=1029974649&dl=1029974649&tr=udp://open.demonii.com:1337/announce&tr=udp://tracker.leechers-paradise.org:6969/announce&tr=udp://tracker.publicbt.com:80/announce&tr=udp://9.rarbg.com:2710/announce",
   // 2: Creative work metadata: links to wikidata and imdb.
   //    There is no reason to copy them because it isn't likely
   //    they will be suddenly disappear from Web.
   "encodesCreativeWork":[
      {
         "@type":"Movie",
         "SameAs/wikidata":"Q181795",
         "SameAs/imdb":"tt0080684"
      }
   ],
   // 3: Torrent metadata: here schema.org lacks of required properties.
   //    Missing properties have slashes in names.
   "encodingFormat":"mpeg4",
   "encodingFormat/videoCodec":"AVC",
   "encodingFormat/frameRate":"23.976fps",
   "encodingFormat/audioCodec":"HE-AAC",
   "encodingFormat/audioRate":"48KHz",
   "encodingFormat/audioChannels":"6",
   "width":"1280",
   "height":"544",
   "inLanguage/audio":"en",

}

Did developpers consider idea to replace Scrypt algorhythm with Lyra 2RE(Vertcoin is doing hardfork with it for few days)? It will remove stability threat  from Scrypt ASIC farms and is extremely adaptable for any future changes.
No "butthurt GPU miner" algos...
294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: December 12, 2014, 03:23:06 PM
I agree in that if the targets in the roadmap had some clearly defined public deadlines then everyone would feel better.  Even if those time frames for those deadlines were given a lot of extra leeway.

We have seen it is better to not have deadlines planned to avoid possible pumping of the price in the month before the deadline and dumping of the price if the date becomes overdue. We think what happened in October shall not happen again and we prefer not to give anymore deadline for this reason. People who want to have more information about the implementation are warmly invited to come ask on the IRC channel #anoncoin or to read our development track at wiki
i like to see this. im sick of ppl who just wanna make a quick buck and dont give a shit otherwise.

Hi anoncoin brothers

I am a long time anoncoin holder and have been lurking on this thread for a long time.

Can someone help me?
I have unconfirmed transactions on my wallet going back to 24/11/14, I can not send coins from my wallet!

Already tried reinstalling wallet, redownload blockchain,
I have added a miner fee, makes no difference

what am I missing?
Any help really appreciated!

dump those transactions with getrawtransaction and send it over to me, i will ensure its getting mined.

Thanks K1773R that's done it, I can send coins again. Still don't quite understand what was going on

All your "coins" have used unconfirmed txs as input, hence they can only get confirmed once the "base" txs is confirmed.

Is there a nice, complete list of dependencies for the Datacoin fork on GitHub?  I'm stuck in dependency hell just trying to get it working.

And wtf is this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=309716.0

Self moderated??? The kiss of death. Put a bullet in that thread or switch the moderation off. Disgraceful.
Because it is the FAQ/Information Thread that we had PRIOR to having a wiki. Its moderated so generic trolls/morons cant fill the page with tons of nonsense.
Nowadays its probably obsolete.
Then we have the Chat thread, which of course is NOT moderated so you can chat freely.

www.datacointalk.org leads to storj.io.

mstg (mstfck?) I see you are making contributions to both Storj and Metadisk as well.  Does this mean you are working on both Storj and Datacoin?  Are you maintaining the integration between Datacoin and Storj?

Thanks very much for datacoin.js.

it seems he took the domain for more visitors @ storj.io
he could have forked the original datacoin repo, instead he created a new repo (this is a shady process).

Nothing shady at all actually. I just wanted to have an official repo. Just go review the code if you are so paranoid. Datacoin community seems dead, but Storj looks promising. So I decided to leave Datacoin as is and moved over to Storj. Correct me if I am wrong.
then do a fork and add your changes. if you dont, all the history of development (git history) is lost. ppl who dont fork are usual too stupid too or they have nasty things in mind, like including (little) malicous changes. no offense tough.
