281  Economy / Economics / Re: The Jim Cramer affect on Bitcoin.... on: January 04, 2024, 11:50:00 AM
Jim has this awful reputation in case you didn't know. Basically everything he says the opposite happens. They even made the reverse Cramer ETF lmao. Now the worst has happened and he has said BTC is going to the moon! I hope BTC is strong enough to weather this storm lmao..... https://twitter.com/WatcherGuru/status/1742574566948446441?t=Lq4TuNvvT4-l10UF_UKYqg&s=19
It's not just him but everyone who tells that something positive about Bitcoin is going to have an opposite impact. This is what we've known as the indicators and signals from these folks. But anyway, a joke or not, I've seen this handful times and despite that they're bullish or not to Bitcoin, there's always the opposite reaction from the community and the market. Right now, it's different and the market has recovered from the crash that has happened yesterday. Everyone was in awe but then again, we've seen on how resilient Bitcoin is and it is just indicating that we're actually closer to the bull run with resilience it shows.
282  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Happy Birthday Bitcoin! on: January 04, 2024, 01:39:46 AM
For sure marami pa tayong what if at gustong makitang mangyari kaya share nyo ang opinyon nyo dito.
283  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitcoinETF approval will possibly cause much bigger jump than most people expect on: January 03, 2024, 11:08:25 PM
Got goosebumps when you've said that it can be out of our expected jump.
In addition, I've found a nice graphic few days ago, comparing Gold's ETF launch and where Bitcoin is right now:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/18w2r2j/gold_vs_bitcoin_etf_approval/

Of course, Charts can be drawn in many ways and in 2008 we had a big financial crisis, where Gold was a safe haven, so maybe overall situation is a bit different but we can also argue how much scarcer Bitcoin is, compared even to a hard asset like Gold.
After all, we have arguments in favor and against such a Bitcoin price movement but it's not impossible at all.  Wink
Sweet! and yes exactly. It may be different from gold's run but we see where it is all starting and we've got the idea on how it has been all over these years. There could be the different result prior to Bitcoin ETF's approval but the spirit is totally different and the excitement was there.
Like this crash that has happened, we now have an idea on how these big players want to take all of those Bitcoins that have been sold by people who panicked with simple news of speculated rejection by SEC. Now the thing for everybody is, how we're going to bear this feeling while we're waiting for the right time. Don't join the bandwagon of panic sellers, everyone so HODL.
284  Economy / Speculation / Re: BitcoinETF approval will possibly cause much bigger jump than most people expect on: January 03, 2024, 08:41:37 PM
Got goosebumps when you've said that it can be out of our expected jump. I was just thinking of little bump for Bitcoin price that was failed to meet on the last bull run and yes, that's $100k. So it's interesting on how these giants can do to make the demand higher. They're not just simple players that we're having and if approved, this is no longer all about speculative market because they're in as well. I think that there will be that much change on the market when the ETF is approved and they've got a green signal from the SEC.

I hope people are not expecting too much about this upcoming event, if in case this one goes thru.
Because being conservative won't give you too much trouble if your target price won't actually be realized.
But do remember, with or without ETF, the adoption is ongoing and further growing in numbers.
So should not be very reliant on this event whether you will invest on this market or not.
It is what I am seeing now, everyone is expecting a lot with these ETFs and they're all thinking the same that it is going to exceed our expectations. That's how it is looking like based on my observations and that's totally fine, something that didn't happened globally although there have been some ETFs already in some parts of the world but they weren't even made a huge name at all. If you just want to be plain on this event, that's okay because the chance of getting a rejection is still there. Other than that, it's okay to expect a lot but it's not with the ETF but with the upcoming halving and that's where our assurance is built.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gaming promotions to earn actual money on: January 03, 2024, 02:00:49 PM
I have never experienced that but if you think that you're able to outsmarted them, they'll try to recover that from other gamblers. So, all in all, how much you and your family managed to win with that promo from keno? That's like literally a prosperous new year to you and them and even they don't gamble at all, someone's going to like it when there's real cash ready to be taken by you guys by just simply purchasing the ticket from that promo. I think that you, your family and the agent is now friends and think that all of you are real gamblers and you befriended that guy.  Grin
Well yeah, thinking about it a promotion's success can be judged in a plethora of ways.
This specific promotion I mentioned probably was more costly than the company had predicted due to how easy it was to actually cash out, potentially even easier than they had predicted.
But at the same time that promotion also must have brought in a lot of potential customers so they could probably count that as a win. If a promotion brings in more revenue than it costed in a matter of months, it's successful for sure. Many online services such as stock brokers and banks are offering cash just to sign up these days. So it's not something unheard of.

There's a lot of investment to bring in customers that might become paying customers years down the line with financial services. If the same is to be applied to gambling then maybe it starts making more sense.
But from my experience gambling services expect a faster return on investment than that with their promotions usually.
You're right, if they're aware of it, they're just considering it as an investment and there's a better return and impact for them in the long run. Well, this is what business and gambling is a serious business to the owners of it and I think whether they've made it on a purpose or not with that type of marketing and people like you were able to figure it out then you just have to enjoy if it's not breaking any of their rules. It's also like a brain teaser as if those are easy wins for you guys. I think they're aware of it and just make sure that your feelings are still intact and when you're no longer getting those wins, you're still in shape and aware of what's happening as this is gambling.

Most of what were lacking on previous ETFs are already fulfilled by recent applications
I agree. Most of them if given the approval, should give it credits to the past ones that have been rejected like with VanEck and SolidX.
289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Single or accumulation, which one do you prefer when it comes to sport betting on: January 02, 2024, 10:34:07 PM
I typically do single bets. I want to look each alone with the bets that I do and that's why I like it doing one after the other before placing new bets. I agree to the suggestion about if you don't have much money and you just typically want to gamble it, say lose or win, do it on a parlay bet. That's like where your luck is going to be determined and shall see if you've made it or not. Small amount but potential high win. I don't go into parlay honestly but I see friends of mine that are liking it. That's why I am steady on single bets which is definitely I am having fun with and my mind is only one bet to think of.
290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 02, 2024, 09:06:51 PM
These people should just mind their own business and stop looking at someone's app or what they do. Just because they're close to you as both of you sit or stand, they're going to make a peek to you. I guess this is something that we do but there is no need for a talk and asking what you're doing or overreacting with someone's business on their phones. I don't care what these people does, if someone approaches me like that. I'd say to just mind his own business and stop bothering people.

292  Other / Archival / Re: Generational wealth on: January 01, 2024, 11:51:38 PM
It is going to be a long shot for making one. You got to be prepared working your ass for how many hours and years. This is not an easy goal but I commend you for thinking that to your children and their children as well. While we see that many of the rich people were able to do that and now their heirs are enjoying their hard work. You have to be an investor and with Bitcoin  it is going to be one of the possible life changer and can make someone own a generational wealth.
293  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETF will probably not approved yet, so BTC and the others crypto will go down !! on: January 01, 2024, 10:36:31 PM
It is simple. We are all speculating and there is definitely no confirmation yet whether it will be approved or not. And as someone who is just also speculating depending on the mood of the approvers, there is nothing for me to worry about because with or without these ETFs, I am no doubt going to hold for long term. We shouldn't be discouraged if it gets declined or all of it didn't get an approval. We've got the best factor for BTC's bull run and that is halving.
294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather vs Pacquiao II on: January 01, 2024, 04:18:48 PM
It seems that Pacquiao is loaded with matches this 2024. Looking at his perspective, this is literally a prosperous new year for him. Whilst for both of them, there is nothing to prove anymore on their ends. This is an exhibition and if Pacquiao wins on this match, Floyd will just say it is fine and it is an exhibition but will he allow that to happen since he is undefeated and I think that even with this type of match, he is serious about it. IMHO, both are winners when these matches comes because they will baghold sums of money in here as they are still in demand and they have global fans that are willing to watch and wait for this match. I want to see Pacquiao win even for this exhibition because for sure that he is too eager to beat Floyd even with just honor that is on stake and about the share, I guess it is still Floyd that has a larger cut for the sales.

The Buakaw fight is just coming soon and here Pacquiao is talking about the Mayweather fight, and so is Mayweather the Gotti fight is not yet happening and now he is booked to fight Pacquiao, people will be more interested in this fight than any exhibition fight that happens in the past, and that includes all the Paul brother fights.
In the past when a boxer retires he will just manage boxers or set up a gym so he can continue to practice his boxing skills, but not anymore now, if you're a popular champion who just retired you can still make money from doing exhibition matches.
Yeah, I think that the announcement of Pacquiao was more of he is determined on which fight people should await for. Though, he wants people to watch his upcoming fight but he just released a teaser of his another fight in line which is significant since the eyes and ears of the boxing world is with him once again. Look at how effective he was when the match of Tapales and Inoue was still fresh when he suddenly releases his two fights for this year. Well, Pacman is not just a boxing legend but also a good businessman.

297  Economy / Gambling / Re: Greetings from Bets.io on: December 31, 2023, 11:04:52 PM
I meant the bet history for all running games like below.

This is a normal feature for a casino and it can be visible on the front page even without creating an account, deposit is far away.

But yeah this site has a transaction page for bets, I assume player can see their bet history there. But not the other player's bet history like the picture I shared.
I think that you right that, like the stats of all the recent bets that have been made and the users who have won this and that and what casino game they've played. I always get to check that as well when visiting a casino to see how many players are winning and how many are currently active. Maybe in the nearest future, they might just consider adding it because it's like the display or viewing portion of most of the casinos that we have here.
298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: December 31, 2023, 09:04:19 PM
IMO, wherever you go, people will think badly of what gambling is. And there's no reason to hate them because that's the taboo and stereotype that everyone thinks about it. It's like a drug that people should avoid but then very addicted when someone was able to become one. In my neighborhood, it's like having a casual day when everyone sees everyone doing their own thing including gambling. And that's why it is not a matter of thing to think of as it's already been slightly accepted where I live.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will do to bank what Email did to post office on: December 31, 2023, 12:32:48 PM
While there is the comparison of how things changed from the ordinary or traditional process to the automated process and more productive procedure due to the innovation of technology. As much as I want to be optimistic about Bitcoin being the future of finance and money, we cannot stop the fact that the banks are going to stay and not all governments and people are going to adopt bitcoin when there is a vast choice of investments globally and as well as the currencies that we use. One advantage of the government is they have full control of policies and restrictions to what they think is threatening to the safety of their country and for the welfare of their citizens. I think it is better to actually see integration instead of replacement even if we are optimistic of Bitcoin's future. And it is like bank adopting bitcoin instead of pushing it away when it is being liked by many of its customers and there is the opportunity that they can capitalize too.
