1281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: World social media day. on: July 04, 2023, 09:44:08 AM
So far from various individuals views would you say that social media has made more negative impact than the positive side?
Let's get your thoughts.
It varies to the effect that's happening per person. To me, I'd say that it's on the positive side for adults and working people but for young adults, teens, and kids, social media should be a place that they should avoid staying and spending a lot of time. My country is considered to be one of the most people that's staying and using social media nearly half of day and that's no good for most people in here that don't have anything to do with social media but just keeps on browsing with contents that has no use and help to their lives.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 03, 2023, 10:37:34 PM
I doubt that this would be just a marketing stunt, because what would they would they be even marketing? Unless Mark isn't buying twitter and integrating it to meta i can't see anything they would build together. Their values are too far from each other and they are in direct competition. I really think they are just bored billionaires. And i agree that this fight might not happen. Elon will be the one chickening out.
They need no marketing, they've got all the platforms they need and of course, the money for it. This is probably another achievement that they're trying to do. We know that we've got some checklists and this could be one of them. These crazy things that rich people have got on their bucket lists are literally crazy. They want some physical actions and pain for themselves and you're right that many are thinking that they're just crazy rich bored folks who don't have anything to do. Passing on their job to people is normal for them being CEOs and owners of their companies so, it's time to have fun for them this might even be a scripted one and they just trying to set a trend for the other billionaires and prominent people out there.
1283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: July 03, 2023, 09:45:58 PM
There are some people who try to offend others. If someone gets angry at that moment, those people will annoy him more.
This is real but you show them how much you're affected if ever this happens to you again so that they'll know that what they do isn't good at all. Because if they're having fun annoying others and referring them to the terms that the person they're pertaining to doesn't want to, that's disgusting.

But those who can understand this matter deeply never show anger. They simply want to avoid the issue.
We do know that there are some people that has this type of patience but it couldn't be us.

There are also some gamblers who cannot easily identify themselves as addicted gamblers. When such accusations are brought against him, he will take the matter negatively. Above all it is better to take these things easily.
At first, it's gonna be annoying to them and there's no feel of guilt. But eventually upon looking at themselves and realizing it, that's how they will just accept it lightly.
1284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 03, 2023, 09:22:44 PM
Anyone can access online casinos, small time gamblers don't have to be forced with KYC because the casinos allow that unless you'll go to a limit and they'll notice that. While in my country, a teen can go to these online casinos and easily gamble with whatever they have and much likely cryptos. And if ever they'll be asked for a kyc, they won't use their original identity because they'll be caught as a teen. So, usually they'll ask their parents identity to comply for it and they'll easily do that because their parents will see it as if they're working teens especially if they're giving some of their winnings to their parents. That's how it goes and also likely happening in other countries.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: July 03, 2023, 08:53:41 PM
It's easy to quit if the intention is to enjoy, and the money you use serves the purpose of enjoyment. Win or lose, you can quit with a smile.
Exactly, you have no deep feelings about it and you're just gambling the way you want it. Win or lose, there's no emotional attachment to it and you won't mind taking back your losses as you'll just have to walk away and do other necessary things that you wanna do.

But unfortunately gamblers who gamble for the purpose of money are always like that and think gambling is a place to make money as well as a definite source of income even though I'm sure he never wins more games than he loses, luckily I'm only a small gambler where I only play on weekends, if lucky to get money I will enjoy if I lose I think it is my unlucky day, don't have to chase defeat because it won't get anymore, gamble with money that can afford to lose it.
We can't blame them for thinking like that because that's how they see it and that's the reality. While many see gambling as entertainment and easy to quit. Those people that are looking at it as another source of income are just doing fine. And for us small gamblers, we can just think of whatever we wanna think when we gamble. Whether it's for profit purposes, we can enjoy it as well at the same time, and the money that's being spent there can be good and gone forever because we can just go back anytime we want and there's no reason to get serious about it.
1286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Let's find out which gambling game is the most played among our community... on: July 03, 2023, 08:16:24 PM
But if we talk about the overall outcome comparing sports betting and slot machines, sports betting can definitely be more profitable if done in the right way,
A game like sports betting is profitable depending on your experience, strategy, and also knowledge of the sports that you're betting. Comparing how profitable it is to other luck-based games is off IMO.

and by the right way I mean one should do proper research and analysis before placing their bets so that they can have higher chances of winning.
That's the common thing in sports betting but you'll never know if a bettor doesn't mind with that thing and just chooses to bet and goes YOLO for some of their bets.

Whilst it's also the same with games like slots and dice wherein gamblers just want to win as much as they can but beating the system is hard with these type of games.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 03, 2023, 07:52:15 PM
Russell Westbrook and the Clippers agreed to a two-year contract at $7.8 million with a player option in the second year, down from $47 million last year. It won't be long before he becomes Melo, where no team will be interested in him and he will simply resign. As expected given his dismal performance the previous season, but not at such a rapid pace, making it the largest pay cut in league history, according to Hoopshype.
I think that he just took it so quickly that the other offers could have been lowball already. This is much better than no offer and we'd seen that with Melo it's like the last minute until a team has given him an offer. It's only gonna be a matter of time before he's going to have the same fate as him but we shall see how the LAC will do this season. They seem to have a good setup of roster and could do good and hopefully he'll also get himself back the way we knew how he was before but yeah, time passes by and that's unlikely.
1288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Verified twitter, telegram account is the strong point for a new project? on: July 03, 2023, 07:23:43 PM
My friend informed me that at this time many upcoming project social account like twitter, telegram is verified.
Does that mean these projects can be trusted?
In fact many are encouraged to invest in any new project following this.
What is your opinion on this matter?
Nope, just because they've got a verified account you'll believe that they're legitimate? Nah.
It's easy to get verified especially on Twitter when it has been taken by Elon Musk, you pay the monthly and you'll get that verified badge check. That's why I don't think that even there are some projects that do have verified badge on social platforms, that won't be a matter to me if I'll be choosing one to invest. There are even legit projects that don't have those badges and yet, they're more legit than of those that has it.
If many are encouraged to invest on those projects, I don't think that's a good factor for someone who invests in projects by just having that standard.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 03, 2023, 01:30:56 PM
The Chicago Bulls applied to the NBA management for a $10.2 million 'unusable player exemption' due to Lonzo Ball's injury!

I think Lonzo Ball's career is over. Lonzo Ball will most likely never play in the NBA again.
That is so sad I feel bad for the guy he had big potential. Chicago has good team and with him they would be dangerous, let's see what will they bring to replace him.
Dang, what a guy. Poor Lonzo, too many players that have ended careers of great players and are likely to have a long run and good careers. But with such injuries, they're not able to make it.

It must be really devastating for Portland to hear about this from Lillard. His last season performance was also incredible as he had an average of 32 points scored. But all this high effort was for nothing because Portland were still a mess as they couldn't even make it to the playoffs. Lillard still wanted to stay for many years here.

However maybe from now on he wants to go to a team that can be more successful in a season. He deserves to be champion before retirement in my opinion. He is soon becoming 33 years old. I hope he can have a good trade for himself to play bigger.
Just like any good players coming from a franchise that has no caliber getting in the playoffs or even getting a ring. That's when they'll start to think of the achievement that every NBA player want and that's to have a championship and if this is what probably is on the mind of Lillard and taking it seriously then.
1290  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How significant is the role of religion in the politics of the world? on: July 03, 2023, 11:33:40 AM
So my question is how significant is the role of religion in the politics of the world today and how good is the effect on societies so far?
This depends on the country. Whilst in my country, there's really a certain impact for having a religion's back on a politician. It's because whenever there's an election, each vote counts. And whoever is the candidate that the religion will support, that's also the one that will be supported by its members. Although many of them are giving free will on who to cast their votes but certain religions do have block voting and that's why whoever gets that support of that certain religion, they're likely having a huge flock of voters gonna support to them whether they like or not its platform.

Yes I do have verified paypal for my business and yes I do have money in it. Can you tell me which website to use to buy TRX with paypal or my credit card?
Use centralized exchanges since you're going to your credit card, that's the easiest way where you can buy TRX as you need it. The exchange that's commonly suggested on this one is Binance:

Also, you can do that with Trustwallet.

1292  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: July 03, 2023, 10:11:34 AM
Many expectations of bitcoin this year failed, but I notice that bitcoin always breakout into a new price after interval of five years, the last massive explosion of price was between 2017-2018 and since then, bitcoin has not record major price increase. Now if you calculate from 2018 to 2023 that's about 5 years though because of policy of economic inflation and influence the price has not gain its actual strength to break resistance limits and if the remaining quarter of the year fails even more, then we should expect 2024 to 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 fire.
Just chill, there's the 4 year cycle and that's why after the bull run that we've experienced in 2021, we're heading to the next 2 years which is likely where the bull run is about to come.

We should start to make plans for 2024 more buys more gains.
I've got plans already for that year and that's just to chill and accumulate while I can. Halving is gonna happen by that year and we all know the effects and impacts of it.

The majority has already got that thinking that the bull run is inevitable for the upcoming years to come and so if you're having no plans yet, you should do now.
1293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could world war 3 be inevitable? on: July 03, 2023, 09:21:31 AM
The world needs a rest from all of these wards and it's almost in every country.

War isn’t so easy to define anymore. I personally believe we are at war though. The flood of drugs killing Americans, the rise of mental illness, our food supply chain being destroyed, outright lies being told by our government. All of this doesn’t happen without major outside influence. I think you’d have to be not paying attention to not see that America is under attack.
I agree, we also do get these wars in cyberspace and even a country's own government is experiencing its own civil war. That's why I don't think that we will see the world take a rest from all of these types of wars and if the actual world war 3 will come for which it will be China and US, that's gonna be big and it could not even be with those arms but with a biological warfare.

It's nice that we can sit here in a free forum and talk. But what can we do about the things we talk about?

Cool
I don't know, I have my own things to do, and do it in the best that I can. And by doing those, the little thing that another one that I can do is to not contributor to those factors that we've mentioned by simply being a good and law-abiding citizen.

In as much as World War III is a certain event to take place in the future, the world between Russia and Ukraine will not be a stepping stone to it anytime soon. I've watched documentaries and read history about the various causes of what would happen that can lead to that, and the current conflict between the two countries has nothing to do with it. No matter how long their fight lasts, it will not lead to World fight 3.
And by next year, the US presidential election is going to be a big factor for whatever is happening in the world. These wars have been triggered by their funding to these wars and if another president that has the same stance for it then we can't expect anything from it.
1294  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: July 02, 2023, 11:54:31 PM
I think it best to avoid casinos that demand for KYC from its users recklessly without any form of activities from the player that looks suspicious and if the casino can not provide security of the data their ask for why then will their ask of it in the first place.
Many do it for reasons and they only figure it out when a user thinks it's unfair that he's been asked for a kyc. But I do agree that if it's a reckless way of asking that shouldn't be patronized. Well, situations like this do happen to many gamblers and if the casino won't disclose any reason, you have no option but to oblige because your funds are kept and you'll not be able to withdraw them. So, in the end, you'll have to comply despite that you do want to keep kyc-free but you'll never know when they'll start to ask you.
1295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance 11th LUNC burn: 2.65 billion tokens destroyed on: July 02, 2023, 11:28:00 PM
Binance is just trying to bump this token despite that it's already lost its market and value. But since Binance still has a huge chunk of this token on its hands, they're trying to keep up and do anything that it can to increase its value. Do they have a price target because it seems that there's always these events and news coming from them with LUNC. There's no effect at all from all of those bumps that they do but still, they're trying hard.

yes, I'm also confused, look at Binanance, what's really going on. They seem to defend it, even though they have to thoroughly resolve their own problems with the SEC so as not to cause additional doubts for their users.
I think it's just all about it trying to bag as much as they can for any possible increase that may happen. That's a big money for them, it's considered already as a loss but still trying if there can be some betterment for what they're holding and this is why they do it.

Binance is also strange and true as you said LUNC has some negative histories.
Not that strange to me anymore if they're up to something. That's why there are still possible investors that do follow the herd and what the big exchange is doing. But I don't think that there's ever going to be something good on it as an ending.

1297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should the government be allowed to keep secrets from their people? on: July 02, 2023, 05:09:03 PM
I personally believe that those in power should not be allowed to keep secrets from the public, especially when it is related to the safety and privacy of the people. It is by keeping such knowledge a secret that these people can remain in power. By keeping the public keeping the people in the depths of ignorance, powerful governments and people can rob them of their liberties and do as they desire. It is true that a small fraction of things should be kept from the public, but the current state of affairs show that the reverse is true in our day and age. (And to show how vehemently I adhere to what I say have even established a website(intelrepository.com) where I publish and even sell exclusive information not meant be seen by everyone.

I would like to hear everyone else's thoughts on this as well.
If it's about the safety and sovereignty of the country, things should be spoken publicly and people should be allowed to know the current state of its affairs. But we do understand that for some matters, those that are high profile information and records of the government should be kept public. Well, going back if it's concerning the public and many citizens, there shouldn't be any secrets about it. Because it's an important matter for the people to know what's happening in the country and its status.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 02, 2023, 04:54:15 PM
Happy for Reaves. It looks like this is the first big contract of his career, and I think he will be able to get a bigger contract in the future because he obviously has great potential.
I am also happy for him. The boy deserves that contract and he did really step up being with Lebron and had all eyes on him. Good thing that the Lakers had a lot of plans for him per se.

Overall it's good that the Lakers' management has decided to re-sign some guys as well as sign some new guys. Although I think the Lakers need to find a couple more big guys who can at least partially replace Davis if he gets injured again.
I agree, they need a sub and a big man that will be there and his primary purpose is to be a sub for Davis. Who could be that possible guy? I am thinking about Brook Lopez but then I just saw the news that he signed with Bucks.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Imtoken Amazing Feature on: July 02, 2023, 04:04:51 PM
Well, it depends on the person who will use that feature if it seem to be a good one but yes, there can be some disadvantage, and could also be abused.
But just to see another taste and feature that hasn't been done before or if it's done before by some wallets, it didn't gained traction. I just think that we need more of this.
Yes I agreed that we need more of these kind of wallet that support using tokens as gas. This could actually help small users who doesnt have enough eth to pay for gas and monetize their other tokens. For sure if I discovered this earlier I take advantage of this to sell off some of my tokens that are in eth network.
That's actually the fair share of that wallet if it's allowing the usage of those tokens that can be used in paying because most users would use that option because of having no eth as gas fee.
Btw, is it allowing the erc20 tokens even without eth right?
1300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 01, 2023, 11:01:25 PM
Did you guys see the news for Bruce Brown JR? He just signed with the Indiana Pacers. Gonna be huge mils contract has been in the sign and this is why we usually see a player going off with their former team just after the championship.

Yeah he is cashing in on his run in the playoffs with the Nuggets can't hate on the guy for that.  It's a business from the owners side as well as the players side.  Pacers got a great player.  I think he would have been a great pickup for Miami.  Would fit right in as a do whatever it takes kind of player.
Right, it's a business after all and whoever bids them the highest cash then that will be taken into consideration and his contract could have already ended with the Nuggets.

The same with the Lakers and that's why I just thought that this team will remain just as is with their winning roster. But this is all about their value has gotten up just after getting the ring so it's a wise move for him when there's a bigger offer since they're not always at their height of their career so it's nice that he took advantage of it.

Definitely a smart move by Bruce Brown because he knows that he now deserves a much higher contract after the Nuggets won the championship recently and it's not that he was just riding the team easily because he also had his own highlights. Also, it was a nice move for the Indiana Pacers for acquiring him because his presence and skill on the court is certainly a plus.
Exactly, I guess that this won't be any different from other teams and with which team that we'll get to see as the champs for this upcoming season then we may see some its players to ask some higher contracts. And if a team bids for that, they'll take that into consideration, they're champ already so they can demand.
