281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 03, 2019, 10:55:08 PM
Guys, I get a tingling feeling that we're due for another dip into the 7k territories.

I'm about to log off for the day, I dearly hope that when I wake up, this tingling feeling doesn't turn into reality.
282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: IAAF DOHA 2019. on: October 03, 2019, 10:43:23 PM
Maybe he gave everything and perhaps he lift one big hurdle on his shoulders and he was really elated winning the 100 m.

Remember his name was also in a doping scandal, so winning the gold here also somewhat vindicated his name and he has Gatlin for a competition, not an easy task for a 23 year old.

Hmm maybe that's the reason behind

Coleman, despite being so young, already seems a bit too tired after his runs ..

Its really sad what doping can do to you. I guess he faces some kind of ill effects from the doping. As far as I know he missed 3 dates for doping tests, and technically he could be banned for 2 years for violating this. IF that happens, he might have to relinquish his 'title' and there'd be no vindication for the allegations at all.

(I think he doped)

284  Other / Meta / Re: Sig campaign mangers - now help advertising for scammers - TO PROTECT THE BOARD. on: October 03, 2019, 10:12:19 PM
I don't like YoBit and I don't like this campaign. In fact, I detest it. The 'solution' of using a campaign manager is merely a fragment of what I would have wanted - the eradication of the campaign.

There is a question to be asked, though... Is CryptoTalk a scam?

Once you have your answer, consider this: this may be a proxy for YoBit to shill their site in the future, that is, a way of bypassing the previous signature ban on the YoBit site directly.

Then finally: if you were to red tag YoBit participants, should you also tag CryptoTalk participants based on this speculation?

Okay I respect your position on this and I would I like my voice to be heard. I know, it does not matter much but still.

Yobit, so far according to my knowledge has not scammed any user. It has listed shit projects, it has shilled its investbox without much mettle to it, but none of it actually accounts as something that is worthy of being tagged as a scam.

On top of that, everyone that has a functioning brain knows this that Yobit is promoting its own forum and in turn its own exchange through this campaign. We all get it. But what I don't understand is why a blanket tag to everyone, especially for people that are responsibly participating in this campaign 'the right thing to do'?

Please keep in mind, that you are someone I respect because you have a clear stance on things and are logical when you draw your conclusions. So please help me see things the way you see it.
285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who are are your bet for this year's boxing fight of the year on: October 03, 2019, 09:40:35 PM
Thurman and Pacquaio hands down.
I have mentioned this previously and I am still sure that at least for 2019, this is the biggest fight. It is also very historical as one can see the decline in the popularity in the public eye about Pacquaio.
With that said, I am looking forward to Derek Chisora vs Joseph Parker for some personal interests..

I have to agree Thurman vs Pacman was the best thing this year. But why are you following that Derek Chisora vs Joseph match? That is obscure AF! I wonder what your personal interests are, are you betting on that match? Anyway, that is cancelled now since Parker has an injury.

My second favorite match of this year has to be the Andy Ruiz Jr fight against Anthony Joshua. I didn't expect Ruiz Jr to win, and frankly judging by his reaction after the match, even he could not believe himself.

Oh crap!! I didn't know about that! Yes, I was trying out a new site to bet on Boxing with bitcoins but I didn't know that fight was canceled. I didn't want to bet on some big match where there could be manipulations of some sort you know. Hence the obscure choice.

..

I get what you are saying and I hope that becomes reality some day, but its not going to happen now.

If anything changes, OP can unlock the thread and post an update any time there's something relevant to share, otherwise there'll be a bunch of people like you and me would disagree with how things should be vs what they really are, and probably deviate from the topic.

I hope you get where I am coming from.
288  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: move 1 BTC from one wallet to another, third wallet pay for transaction? on: October 03, 2019, 08:12:15 PM
I'd use Core if I were you, but it will work just as well with Electrum. You simply need to import the private keys, select all the inputs and send.

You might want to precalculate the transaction fee, or add a little bit more satoshis (or use more than one other input) ...

I understand the different wallets are not connected and you may want to keep them that way, however you could do one giant consolidation transaction (which would break privacy), but at the same time you could also just run something like Wasabi wallet to make it CoinJoin with a bunch of others and then come up with a nice chunk of pretty good anonymized coins in new native segwit addresses.

Also, I know 0.9999 isn't that much different than 1.0000 (yah, it is 0.0001 less), but what's so bad about that? Unless you really like and must have a whole coin.

When you do send it in the future, it will use up transaction fees again, so might as well put more than a whole coin. Like 1.0001 so that includes the tx fee for a future transaction when you sweep the address.

I am sure you know Chipmixer has an entire category for this whole bitcoin vs broken bitcoin thing lol apparently it is a big issue for some people. I guess it would be for me as well, if I had 1 btc with me.

Anyways, @OP

You could follow what Dabs said above. You could also sweep your funds from your addresses #1 & #2 to a wallet like Armory and then send a tx from there to a new address #3 which could - at least in theory - receive 1 whole 1 BTC with no breakage.

PS: I say theoretically because I have not tried this myself.
289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HELP the dumb-dumb!! I sent TUSD to a USDT wallet, is there any hope?? on: October 03, 2019, 08:06:19 PM
I have posted the same question 1st on reddit and have yet to get a single response.
bitcointalk is without a doubt dominating in responses.
I have talked to EXXA 3x now on the phone and have sent multiple emails.
I basically get we're working on it...
Twice now on the phone and one response by email....

Let me be the bearer confirmer of bad news for you.

You will not get your money back. See, exchanges, no matter what, will not take out a wrongly sent transaction to a wallet, even if they can. If you had sent it was a purely erc20 based transaction then the following solution would have worked for you.

Export the private key of your Ethereum-based USDT wallet, import it into an ERC20 compatible desktop wallet* to get access to your funds again.
You transferred an ERC20 token to an ERC20 address, so assuming that you control this "USDT" address and can export the private key, you'll be fine.

*Ethereum wallet, mist, exodus, etc, or browser-based like metamask.

Edit: This is what you do when you own your private keys. Not when tokens have been sent to an exchange "wallet".

But we've already established that this does not relate to you.

So the last thing I would suggest is, please lock this thread. So that unnecessary replies are no longer made here. No one can help you here other than the exchanges, and most of us that are speaking from experience can confirm this that they won't help you.
290  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin account my mobile on: October 03, 2019, 07:58:23 PM
Like you've already heard that there is no such thing as a Bitcoin account.

Now I can pretty much assume you said that by mistake since you are new, you just don't know the terminology for everything yet.

Anyways,

Many people will suggest you to get Mycellium, which is good, but I do not like them one bit.

For me, the best wallet to use on mobile is Green (previously known as Greenwallet)

And when it comes to multi-wallet, I'd suggest you to go with Atomic wallet

-
Mind you Atomic Wallet's desktop version is bugged, as I stated here, although I am not sure if this bug is recreatable for everyone.
291  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitdeer - Experiences? on: October 03, 2019, 07:48:07 PM
If one is going to invest in "cloud" mining, why wouldn't you go through Hashnest?
No contract length, and you get to buy it buy the TH/s, and can sell your contract, later.

At least then, you'll have a pretty good idea that there truly is mining equipment backing your contract up.

Bitdeer looks too good to be true, as a generality.
And most bitcoin users know exactly what "too good to be true" means.

Do not make the mistake of assuming that I am a newbie who does not know how to distinguish shit from chocolate.

BitDeer is the official mining sub of Bitmain and if you are doubting Bitmain then you are doubting nearly half of the hashpower of BTC as of today.

There is nothing on Bitdeer that is too good to be true, and if there is, I suggest you to let be known here in this thread for everyone to criticize, including myself.

edit :

I don't trust hashnest because in my book, they are too good to be true. Although safe, I assume. I'd much rather go with Onehash instead of anything else as they seem more professional in every aspect.

293  Economy / Exchanges / Re: coinexchange.io is closing, remove you founds! on: October 03, 2019, 07:34:09 PM
looking here: https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/coinexchange/

it seems to me that they didn't have large volumes

they launched the exchange in 2016, which means that it is a exchange that is no more than 5 years old in this market and they are already closing.

They definitely have had very low volumes and that is the reason for their slowdeath ~ pun intended.

They are old but yet for several years they didn't get much volume maybe they failed on promotional aspect..

This is one of the biggest reasons for their failure. In a niche market where competition were/are popping up day and night, the least they should have done is double down on promotion. Whatever little effort they made were clearly not enough.

Coinexchange team is from Australia also I think. You can ask the Equal dev to confirm.

I have had the most amount of interaction with Silky from Equal team, and despite the fact that Equal were listed there on Coinexchange, it does not really mean that the exchange is from the country as that of Equal.. however, I've asked this question, awaiting reply now.
294  Local / India / Re: Let's vote for a new mod for India on: October 03, 2019, 06:40:10 PM
No. There is no irrefutable evidence that suggests we have any merit source dedicated to India forum. One guy making some stray statement out of his imagination, does not make it a fact.
Not exactly, no one makes stray statements here and there are irrefutable evidences which suggest we have a merit source dedicated to Indian sub forum. Just dig through various topics in Indian sub-forum you will find out who the source is actually.
What? You have irrefutable evidences and others will dig through the forum? What kinda joke is that? Either provide your irrefutable evidences to the community or STOP making claims that you can not prove!

In other words, he is saying that if you are curious enough then do your own digging instead of asking someone else to dig it for you.

He would have otherwise obliged had you asked nicely, since that is not the case, expect exactly 0 help from him.

idk he might change his mind though.
295  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Weird problem with Atomic wallet. Can't send money from Desktop on: October 03, 2019, 06:24:27 PM
Okay so I faced this weird situation a few days ago with one of the tokens and now again with LTC.

It seems I can receive my coins perfectly fine but I cannot send anything.

The only error code I got was the anon id - which I could use to contact the support with, other than that I got this annoying little warning.

Cant' send XXX now, please try again later

Contact Atomic Support about this transaction

I hid my token cuz I don't want anyone to know which shitcoin I am talking about here, lest it be taken for some sort of endorsement or publicity stunt.

--

When I contact their support, all I get is a generic response. Which makes things more unbearable.

So as you can see, I resolved my situation by trying to send funds ONLY through my mobile. Which is weird.

Since then, I have tried doing this from a secured location in a different location / network than from my usual computer. I tried it from my Laptop even. All with the same result.

But, strangely enough the mobile wallet, regardless of which network I am on, always works.

I tried this again with LTC recently, same situation while mobile worked flawlessly.

Between these 2 events (first my token and now LTC) there has been a time span of about 3 months. And they have still left it unresolved.

Which makes me think that this might be a situation at my end alone because surely there are so many users at Atomic Wallet - not all of them could be having the same problem and the support leave this bug unfixed for so long..

So does anyone know what's going on?
296  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Vidy (Vidycoin) Scammed Bounty Hunters for $100k + gross negligence on: October 03, 2019, 05:56:18 PM
It looks like they are doing everything in their power to not address this issue as well. I went to their group chat on TG @vidycoin - and asked about this issue.

I was expecting a logical explanation of some sort or at least an excuse for misunderstanding or miscommunication.

Instead, I was kicked and banned from the group.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: newbie here/ no bitcoins despite confirmations on: October 03, 2019, 05:45:43 PM
Users are suggesting that you may have somehow created another wallet.
To be sure you are using the right wallet
Go to view > show console

ismine("12frz1zeVY4yHB4rNpPzBFkfnFqUEGTDBu")

To be sure that address belongs to your wallet.

Not sure if I'm phrasing this correctly, but I moved BTC to an external, non-electrum wallet. So I don't know how to check that using these instructions. The coins show pending at receiving wallet, yet showing the higher amount before I increased the transaction fee.

You will first have to confirm which version of Electrum you used to do the transfer. If it is version 4.0 then you are in trouble.

If not, then where did you try sending the money? As in which wallet?

If you have the pvk for that other wallet, or the seed, trying sweeping all your funds into a separate working wallet and see if you can spot your money.
298  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Can I recover my account on blockchain.com -2FA, password lost, email accessible on: October 03, 2019, 05:09:24 PM
It is possible but it would require weeks of back and forth with support if not months.

A friend of mine lost his 2nd password - well he didn't lose it, he never even had it in the first place. Then they placed the force upgrade to HD wallets and viola even his recovery keys won't work.

Even after months of back and forth with the support, his situation remained unchanged. And he had hundreds of thousands of dollars in there. (I verified)

So the important question is, do you have enough money in there for you to take all this hassle?
299  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: October 03, 2019, 05:00:51 PM
Profile lestherat - Copy/paste

Good catch. I would have sent you my last available merit but I'd reserve it for someone who does not have enough left to get to the next rank level. Please keep up the good work.

PS: This is also an indirect request to anyone else that is capable of sending this user some merit for his detective work, then please do so.
300  Local / India / Re: Buy bitcoin from binance? on: October 03, 2019, 03:33:50 PM
So recently you can start buying bitcoin from binance using debit card, but since banks are closing accounts which use bitcoin, is it safe? If i use my debit card to buy bitcoin on binance will my bank account close?

You are safe to buy Bitcoins as of now with your credit / debit card because you are not a commercial institution. There is no ban on personal ownership or transaction on Bitcoins. And probably there never will be, despite the rumors you hear.

So you can easily buy the coins with your card through Binance. But just be careful that you are not landing on a phishing / fake binance page. And definitely, do not save your card info in your browser.

You might also need to consider the enormous fees that you may incur when buying with cards.
