541  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for help in marketing trading bot, monthly pay in BTC! on: August 13, 2019, 03:10:37 PM
Cardano (ADA), EOS, bcash (BCH), ripple (XRP) and tron (TRX) are shitcoins being traded on bitmex.

Apart from BCH none of the rest are shitcoins. IMO i.e

It is not a problem if the customer is fine with the possibility of all of his BTC being sold for one of the shitcoins mentioned above, leaving him back with no BTC but a stack of shitcoins.

Just interjecting here to make a point that even if a customer is left with what you are tagging as shitcoins, the bot (should) leaves the customers with usd equivalence of their BTC investment in those shitcoins + some marginal profits.

And all these shitcoins you mentioned can easily be cashed out on any numerous exchanges because their volume is that high.

And let's face it, OP's bot will never be big  enough to take out these multi million dollar worth of shitcoins from the global market that the customer would be left high and dry.
542  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a partner in a marketing site on: August 13, 2019, 02:57:13 PM
I would like to finally create a marketing site where I offer consulting and content creation services to ICOs/crypto projects/coins etc

So I am looking for some people that have marketing skills, or content creation skills. I am looking to create a partnership so no salary payments will be given. I am hoping to split all of the expenses and profits.

So Tim,

You want to start a company offering widgets, but you don't know how to make widgets.

So you hire me to make the widgets, and you pay me half of what the widgets are worth, and keep half for yourself.

Why wouldn't I simply start up my own company and sell the widgets myself?

Moral of the story:  Start a company offering something you can make yourself.  Smiley

Sort of like that. You can call him boss too.

He has the marketing skills to offer. If he can do that then why not just join a team that had already established themselves in the industry, I don't think that's hard to do if he have the skills, a company would know how to value it.

Wait what marketing skills? No offence to anyone and I am not saying this in a negative way. There is no skill in marketing. Its all about clocking in the hours and repeating a tried and tested formula. Its all about hiring the right people.

Tim has been trying really hard to make something off his Bitcointalk career, like that Insurance he was trying to pass off. Which is admirable but ..eh..

So yeah, I agree with Vod, instead of trying to bring people under your wing so they can work for you, why don't you work for people and first develop a 'wing' to bring other people under it?

Good luck
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best coins for staking? on: August 12, 2019, 10:58:06 PM
I'd say Tron and Dash

Now don't get me wrong there are hundreds more profitable coins out there, especially those lucrative-looking Masternode coins but trust me, they're basically a sink hole.

There are some good PoS coins but they are not that 'big' or 'stable' yet.

I used to recommend Pundi before but not anymore.
544  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Fullnode Sync over Lan on: August 12, 2019, 10:37:53 PM
Thank you all for the response - it is here not a mather of how it's best done. I just wanna now if it's possible and how.

So ETFbitcoin give me the right solution, THANKS!

Yes possible.

Not advisable though.

Do as Loyce says or if you want to do it the way ETF said make sure you don't have your IP binded to the other node.

I tried something similar between two separate VPS, one hosted on Alibaba and the other on AWS.

Keep onlynet=onion since it'll controll outgoing connections while fixing/removing the bind will take care of incoming connections.

New local node on the syncing side can be configured as :

Code:
txindex=1
connect=192.168.0.xxx:PORT
daemon=1
debug=mempool
545  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Checking Address Balance with Bitcoin Core on: August 12, 2019, 10:30:53 PM
Or what exactly was your concern ? Maybe i misunderstood it ?

No, I get it that the public keys can be known publicly without giving away anything. But can't the sender figure out the address from the tx id? That would expose the cold wallet address itself and make it prone to being monitored.

I can't remember when exactly but I have come across multiple wallet watching websites where anyone can track a wallet's transactions. Hell, if someone's that desperate they can do with any blockchain explorer.

All I am saying is perhaps accepting payments directly into the cold wallet could not be the wisest thing to do.
546  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Bitcoin mixer btcshaker.com mix your coins with integrity. on: August 12, 2019, 10:04:00 PM
Yeah, I agree with the general consensus here, sites like these should be avoided. And the OP seems to have disappeared as well. Newbie account, first post, what do you expect?

So far the only reputable mixing site that I can think of is Chipmixer. It has done well over the years to stay on top of the game and clean of any BS drama (like Bestmixer).
547  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Online startup accelerator on: August 12, 2019, 10:00:40 PM
What about a list of experts that you are involving in the project?

I mean do you have a fixed team of experts or are you hiring them as you go? Are the deals between your experts exist with you and them or between the experts and the startups?

I mean you require applicants to score a minimum of 80 in your audit, that's fine, but there must be a screening process for them experts as well, no?
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can gambling turn an atheist to theist and superstitious? on: August 12, 2019, 09:51:50 PM
Good question. Short and simple answer, no.

I've been an atheist all my life. Know about my history at Do Atheists hate Religion

And although I have dabbled in gambling from time to time I have had seen no logic for me to suddenly start believing in make-belief stories.

Gambling to me is just a game that I play from time to time and I don't let it become addictive.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Gambling and e-sports? on: August 12, 2019, 09:48:50 PM
With e-sports growing each day, like old ones Dota, Lol, CS and the new ones like Fortnite, PUBG etc, and competitions become more professional and more money are into, do you think soon we will be gambling with e-sports together with traditional ones?

I think it's only a matter of time, soon we will be betting on e-sports

To me this is a sensitive subject. These are games that kids play and these games, like Dota2 has gambling built into it. Which is fine because its done in a way that it can't get addictive but still, this is like exposing a very vulnerable section of society (kids) to the vices of gambling.

Any future where this becomes a mainstay should be done in a way where kids are at least left out of the hardcore gambling system.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 12, 2019, 08:56:45 PM
Andy Murray returns to the tennis courts after a 7-month break due to injury, at the Cincinnati Tournament.
Great news for all tennis fans.

It is interesting to see Andy Murray back in the game but i have to see how he performs after a long break from injury in the singles tournament and that is the case with Richard Gasquet as both underwent surgery this year, i am counting on Andy Murray's doubles performance and i am betting for him to win the match here, it might go 3 sets as their recent encounter ended in three rounds.

Yeah Richard Gasquet was no joke and beating him was always going to be a tall order especially after a hip resurfacing surgery.

But watching that game was a nervous thing for me because I thought Andy would burst into tears again as his loss to Richard seemed inevitable. But thankfully that didn't happen. He'll probably win some big matches soon.
551  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack Is Fraud on: August 11, 2019, 11:02:59 PM
Advertising a business on your advertisement space does not imply that the owner of the advertisement space is in any way liable or condoning any shady shit the advertiser is engaging in.

Getting off topic here, but when you accept money in exchange for advertising for a business, you absolutely do bear some of the responsibility if that business is a scam.  You're helping them scam people.  Very basic logic here.

I wouldnt have come in and commented if the issue wasnt already being raised here.

And yes, I partly agree with you, which is why I think it is completely fine for Fortunejack sig campaign participants to show eagerness in busting or proving any scam accusations that is being made against the very entity that they have rented their signature spaces to.

I don't see the problem here.
552  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [PLATFORM] Cost Per Acquisition Advertising Platform on: August 11, 2019, 10:58:42 PM
bump

Okay this may be unsolicited advice but have you tried Empire Flippers or Flippa?

If you haven't or are thinking to do so, try going with Empire Flippers as they are more thorough and professional with their listings.

You can also try creating a thread on Digitalpoint.com In early days that was the Bitcointalk equivalent to buying / selling websites online. Not so much traffic there any more but its still something to consider.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 11, 2019, 10:53:17 PM
Gambling never gives me a chance to win big amount rather than to have big losses. It gives me disappointment when I loss 0.01BTC as the highest bet I ever made and it makes me stop in gambling rather than to be in trading. Though it is a bad experience in gambling but somehow I earn learning for there and feel not ignorant in gambling anymore.

You are pretty laughable mate. Millions of dollars are exchanged in gambling and it has made and broke thousands of lives. For all its bad effects, when gamblers lose, it certainly destroys their lives, but if they win. It sets them up to be millionaires.

You just need to know when and where to gamble. And 0.01BTC is nothing.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 11, 2019, 10:45:25 PM
Aside from that, many ordinary persons choose to play lottery because they can spare only few bucks in this game.
They can do that without spending too much or spending too much time betting on lottery.
So the convenience is there while waiting for your luck to come.
Maybe one reason also is that even if you are not really a gambler, you can play the lottery as you don't need any skill to play it with.

Yup convenience is the biggest factor. And lotteries are also legal and way more regulated than the gambling industry as a whole. Besides that it doesn't really have the negative connotations that being associated with gambling could bring.

And not to forget about the huge time-saving lottery tickets are when say.. compared to a round of poker.
555  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bustabit: scam or hack, you be the judge. on: August 11, 2019, 10:42:10 PM
So you are trying to say that Daniel does not notice about the hack or he is letting the hack to make investors lose their investment money? Sorry for asking, but I dont get the idea of this topic since there is no solid evidences to be called as scam/hack. I believe Daniel is very trusted person in this community so I dont think he is saying the truth that there is no suspicious thing from mentioned bustabit's users.

Yeah me too, seems like just a post about how similar two or more accounts (clearly way too many) have the same betting strategy. How is that indicative of hack? But yeah, if you consider having a VPN and creating multiple user accounts and hacking the system into believing that there are multiple users playing then yeah, you could call that a hack.

However, there is no intention or a little reward for site admins to catch these shady accounts. After all, they bring activity, which is good for attracting new users.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you want to win big...accept defeat on: August 11, 2019, 10:35:18 PM
.

I don't get the point of this post...

Okaym, you want me to accept defeat? Then what?

I have always adviced people away from gambling and just because there's a horde of yesmen that want to encourage people to gamble, should I just accept defeat and give in?

Whatever happened to making your voice heard?
557  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack Is Fraud on: August 11, 2019, 10:29:08 PM
Again, the signature I wear has nothing to do with the posts I make. Defending or shilling FJ is not in the campaign requirements.

The screenshot OP posted shows no fraud or scamming.

I agree with this.

Advertising a business on your advertisement space does not imply that the owner of the advertisement space is in any way liable or condoning any shady shit the advertiser is engaging in.

If you ask me, it should be the Fortunejack signature people that should step up and investigate, because I am sure no one in that sig campaign would want to advertise a scam / shady business which is clearly ripping people off.

With that said, the screenshot really does prove nothing.
558  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 11, 2019, 10:24:36 PM
In my experiences, I already won but a little amount of BTC only betting on a boxing fight which is Pacquiao-Thurman fight.

Now can I ask you, did you ever won a huge amount of money on gambling?
Share your experience.

Won? yes, able to withdraw? No. It was on a dice game, apparently, I had won thousands in a few successive rolls that had the multiplier increasing with each bet. But by the time I had seen it, the balance was already below the minimum withdrawal level. So basically I won and then lost it all.
559  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Checking Address Balance with Bitcoin Core on: August 11, 2019, 08:07:10 PM
Why don't you use the master public key to derive public keys and addresses while the private keys are in cold storage ?
That way, you would directly accept payments into your cold wallet and would save on transaction fees.

From a privacy standpoint, is that the best thing to do? If it were my business I'd keep my cold storage out of the public eye and perhaps only reveal it to authorities for taxation requirements.

Otherwise, there can be phishing attempts on the admin email with the cold storage address included in an official-looking email. People have fallen victim to much simpler fraud attempts than this.
560  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Messy Private Keys Dump on: August 11, 2019, 08:00:48 PM
I've worked with masternode coins and in most of them you could just point to the dump file location and it parses the information on its own in the console.
So maybe mention where exactly you are trying to import and maybe you could get better responses here that way.
