How do you send staked coins?
What you mean? The coins that marked as "stake" in the UI? Yes

I can't get my wallet to sync. Are there any addnodes besides the one in the OP that I should be using?

Would an AMD 5XXX series GPU work with this?

I don't think any cryptonote coin will ever pass Monero, including BBR. But:
The idea that Monero is already too big to be overtaken is complete nonsense. I'm a big supporter of the project and hold much respect for the developers, but if a new technology comes along that is unquestionably superior, adoption will flood to the new tech.
Monero's fate will depend on it's ability to adapt or compete with emerging technologies, which will put it in an inferior position compared to its nimble adversaries. Some very bold decisions lie ahead for the core team.
I realize that things move fast in CryptoLand and from the near non stop proliferation of "coins" it's clear to me that there is zero barrier to entry in this space .. As long as the "next big thing" in crypto is open source wouldn't that imply that Monero can adopt/modify as needed going forward ?? There's no real need to constantly produce new "coins" for every great idea that comes along; we've got a population of some 1500 alts now; surely that's enough to satisfy any "new" concept worth trying out .. I've noticed that most recently launched coins are essentially "featureless" with the dev/s promoting community participation in selecting from a 'menu' of potential attributes for eventual inclusion .. I suspect that 'rehab crews' will relaunch failed/abandoned coins with the latest desirable 'feature' set as a way to cheaply pump and dump for BTC or other coin .. Triff .. If history is any indication, the larger and more adopted a coin becomes, the more monolithic and stagnant it becomes, at least in terms of development.

InfoFront's Daily AltCoin Observation: Boolberry has one of the worst names of any altcoin. Based on that fact alone, it has an approximately 0% chance of success.

Claymore, I am product manager at http://getpimp.org , we respectfully request you to compile 32 bit version against debian squeeze for testing purposes. PiMP OS is 32bit with PAE kernel, supports up to 64gb system memory addressable, no reason it should not work. yeah please release a linux version - i would prefer a 64bit version I respectfully request you to compile a 64 bit version of your OS. (P.S. This isn't 2002)

It's a shame that after all that, it was basically a scamcoin. The name and community were great. It does seem like a good opportunity for a dev.

Price doesnt keep going higher because DRK is a joke and smart money is moving into XMR for actual anon capabilities.
This.

Iam more curious as to when we shall see some form of update with some speed boost's as that cant be all this algo can produce.... 280x with hynix does 550h/s overclocked. 7950 with hynix can do 520 h/s clocked.....
not much of a difference between cards.
Speed boosts are useless. Everyone will get the same boost, so you'll end up earning the same amount of XPM when difficulty rises but using more electricity and with hotter GPUs. Well, it would give us an advantage against CPU miners, of which there are still many.

is it worth to buy digital ocean droplets to mine monero?
I believe at one time it was. I did the math a few weeks ago, and it's a losing proposition now for CPU mining. A cloud service with CPU+GPU mining could be a different story, but you'd probably break even, at best.

Is it better to mine XMR with AMD or nVidia cards? There are GPU miners for both already, but which of the two are more profitable?
amd better for xmr Nothing from AMD can currently beat a nVidia 750Ti for hashrate per watt of electricity consumed. Do you have a proof? i get 840 h/s from a 290 and using 230-240 watts from wall. i used to mine xmr with my 750 rig and each card was getting 280h/s using70-80 watts from the wall .So you need to get 3 750s to get same h/s as 290.That means nvidia beaten by amd p.s. i can post screenshots What are your settings for the 290 to get a hashrate that high?

I specify -a 3 in my .bat, but it always runs at -a 1 Am I doing something wrong here?
post here your bat file After re-examining my bat, I realized I had forgot to put a 1 after -wd. This was causing the problem. Anyway, thanks for prompting me to look at my bat again!

As regards what is money, only the gold medal is worthwhile. Silver is already cheap as shit. Bronze is not even counted since 2000 years.
=> Invest only in coins that have potential to be #1, or at least, #2. Others will just die.
Do you think monero has the potential to be at least #2?

If you know what to mine, you will earn a lot of bitcoins.
And if I knew what the winning lottery numbers were going to be, I'd make a lot of $$$.

I was a fairly early bitcoin GPU miner. I stopped mining and held on to most of my hardware, but sold my GPUs. When scrypt mining became profitable, I just got some new GPUs and I was all set.
I'm basically doing the same thing now because I believe the bitcoin/altcoin markets are cyclical and it will be profitable to mine again at some point. Also, I'm using some of the money I would've spent on electricity to just buy altcoins.

Are there (safe) linux miner binaries available anywhere? Specifically the skein miner

I suggest that we refer to merged mining as symbiotic rather than parasitic. There aren't too many devs who will make their coins merge mineable with myriad when we're openly advertising that we're going to bleed their coins dry.
