2841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 29, 2022, 06:34:04 PM
There are actually quite a few streamers playing for their own money, but as my marketing experience. And I can also tell you that some streamers will have sponsors from online casino websites to invite them to play and make videos with free credits, and indirectly advertise it to attract subscribers and I am also happy to see it and indeed it will make people want to do it.
Maybe there are streamers which are sponsored and then after they have done their jobs, they will switch on their main account and gamble for real and maybe they have another streaming account only to stream their real game. While there are also streamers which don't have any sponsorship and only play using their own money.

It can be noticeable because their bankroll is not that big enough and also they are more careful with their moves. Seeing sponsored streamers play can entertain us not only because they are betting with bigger amounts and playing on a high risks games but also because of their awesome commentaries.
2842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallet demand increases in 2022 bear market as exchange scramble on: July 29, 2022, 05:09:15 PM
In fact many of the crypto users in my circle are the one who use a non custodial wallet.
It makes sense to use these wallets since these are better than centralized ones but if the amount of crypto is anywhere more than $1000,
then I think it is better to invest a few dollars in buying a hardware wallet instead.
It is a one time investment after all.
I mean sure if you want to, but I do not see the point of it. My entire savings are in 3 places right now, one is binance, the biggest one, second is metamask which is technically good and allows you to do easily what you would normally be able to do yourself anyway, and lastly a tiny bit in electrum, nothing big there though, it is very small and could be hacked today and I wouldn't care, it would be scary to know I am hacked, but not to know I lost that small amount.

So, I never had the feel to buy a ledger or a trezor or anything like that, metamask type of stuff are understandable, but that’s about it, I do not think that physical ones are really needed.
2843  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: July 29, 2022, 04:28:49 PM
<cut>
Wouldn’t you from time to time come back with another account, to make shure all goes the right way with the future development?
How exactly would he make sure that everything is going the right way in terms of Bitcoin development, even if he has an alt account here? No single entity has such power in a decentralized system that everybody contributes to, especially one that has many independent developers and thousands of independent nodes all across the globe.
The idea is that he doesn't have a centralized power to do anything, but he does have a huge huge huge influence. Hell even Elon has enough influence to change the prices a bit for some reason, have absolutely no clue why he does, but we can't deny that he does have that influence.

If Elon could say "Tesla sold all bitcoins it had" and drop the price, then I can assure that if Satoshi was alive or around, and he comes around and says "bitcoin failed my dream" or whatever, then we are going to see a much much bigger fall. Of course it is not going to happen because if he declined to talk so far, I have no reason to believe that he would do that now. Dude could have become the richest person alive, and didn't do anything about it.
2844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling in Moderation, Pros can out weigh its Cons in Financial and Health? on: July 29, 2022, 01:52:11 PM
Gambling makes you happy unless if you always winning in it , but if you're not a pro and your just basing your luck on daily basis then i don't think you will be happy and it will become your stress reliever after all. Lol many people are frustrated in gambling and that's the truth, wherein these perspective is clearly for those who have good experienced in gambling only not the majority of all people who use to gamble.
So you are saying that you feel happy when you lose? Or maybe you are saying that you feel happy when you are entertained. For the rest of us, what can truly make us feel happy is when we win huge in gambling. We won't stop till we get it but if ever we got busted then fine we can still accept it.

You do not need to be a pro if your only goal to gamble is to relieve stress and you don't need a luck either but both of that are only required if you are playing for a profit. The only reason why people are frustrated in gambling is because of their expectations that most of the times cant be met but only if they learn to lower it then they can feel a lot better.
2845  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you guys think is the best crypto signals group on Telegram? on: July 29, 2022, 12:22:16 PM
Nope! I am not part of such groups. My friend recently got scammed. I stopped using telegram since then. I think, if you want to be interested in trading groups. Join some good communities or forums. You will get better people there as they are moderated.
I don't think telegram is at fault here. Telegram in terms of applications is what Bitcoin is to the real currency. It's not moderated and regulated but has its own advantages because it serves freedom just like Bitcoin.

There are many scam groups on telegram you are right but that only means we have to be more careful and mature when dealing with people and must not trust any groups blindly. I am sorry your friend got scammed but it's similar to getting scammed in the metro by a stranger.

It has been said many times that these telegram groups are mainly created for scamming people out of their funds and don't know how you can trust them but they are promoting some shitcoins under pump dump scheme so stay away from them if you want to save your money and if not join these groups.
Right and if someone actually believes that legit and true advice/signals can be given out on telegram then they are fooling none but themselves.
2846  Economy / Gambling / Re: Action 24/7 - The Premier Casino, Sportsbook, and Racebook on: July 28, 2022, 10:29:32 PM
Welcome to Bitcointalk.org

Another sports bookie. Before one getting to try your services, you would need to tame the wild stag in the forum. And they are not easy to tame. Its about building a reputation here. This is how to compete with the established bookies. Also I couldn't find the registration link. Maybe because I'm using my tablet.
This isn't just a sport book but it's clearly written in the title that it's also a casino and then a racebook but racebook seriously?Didn't know there's such thing and it's also separated to a sportsbook? Because in most sportsbook they already have racing games on them. Indeed that it's not easy to tame people here because all of us here are wise.

We won't just try a new casino without a condition but there might be some who will get curious immediately especially if the gambling site offers something unique. There is no registration link but if you want to have an account here you need to contact the op. That is what I understand upon reading some comments.
2847  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bottom in for BTC? on: July 28, 2022, 10:14:37 PM
I am not 100% sure. This could be the bottom i.e at $20k - $22k or there could be one final capitulation to $13k for the final bottom.

Usually, BTC bottom is a drop down to 84% but again we have more awareness and adoption. From now on the drops might be smaller.

What do you guys think? Go with your gut
I think you are now too late for this. Most of us here are now talking about the pumps and not the dips or the bottom. Where you at when the price is falling down to 16k? But that should be the real bottom for btc because after that, the price did not drop anymore but it only became stable and then showed a small increase later on.

This current price we are in now may not be the true bottom but I think I still can consider this low so you are always welcome to buy it if you are planning. Don't wait for a more dip as it may not occur anymore. You once said that btc is now becoming more popular. In no time, many people are going to pour more money on here.
2848  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: July 28, 2022, 09:54:51 PM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?
For facebook yes but for i.g and twitter, not really. I guess that's because many people uses facebook but in facebook, they have this section called marketplace. That's a more appropriate place to place your business. There are buy and sell groups as well, that can be found inside the platform. This was mainly used before by business minded people before those marketplaces were invented.

Facebook is not only for business but you can still socialize with your friends, family and even strangers. The reasons that you state are right. Those are the reason on why many people are now doing business in social media but the covid 19 is what contributed a lot for this.
2849  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Going To Fall Below The Previous 20k ATH possible? on: July 28, 2022, 09:26:06 PM
I believe that the second half of 2022 will be positive, July is the start of a revival, prices rise from $18k to over $23k, investors earn more than 30% profit within a month if they buy when the price dips and sell now, but I suggest to keep buying, the opportunity for rising is very big and makes me optimistic that August will reach $40k.
The second half have started already by the time we enter the month of july. At the first few days/weeks there are no noticeable change in the price but recently, we saw that price break the 20k barrier. This may seem not much but this was still an improvement compared to those past months where the price only sits at 20k and sometimes going under than that.

The lowest we got this year was not 18k but it was 16k I think, so people that bought on that price are now earning more than 30% if ever they sell when the price touches 23k. There might be some who got greedy and refrain to sell thinking the rise will continue but it fell down again by some percent.
2850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking forward to add exchange tokens to my portfolio on: July 28, 2022, 08:49:53 PM
What is the best exchange investment for a newbie? I am looking for an exchange either CEX or DEX token that's good for long term hold, I can only find BITGET and DODO, which one would you advice to go for?.. Already had BNB so no need to talk about BNB.
You admit that you are still a newbie but how come you already know those things? As a newbie you should start on the very basic coin first which was btc and maybe add some ethereum. These two coins should be your main priority before the others. Cex are being used the most compare to dexe's so you will have more success if you will also invest on cex tokens. You already have one there which is bnb.

You can also add token from kuckoin, I think that was called kcs. Houbi and ftx are I think have their own tokens as well, you can grab them too. Never heard of bitget but dodo, yes. Dodo was once a talk of the town but nowadays I rarely see an update with it.
2851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi is not dead, what is he doing? on: July 28, 2022, 08:30:35 PM
After reading so many topics that discuss who satoshi could be and why he would leave bitcoin from one day to another it made me think: What is he doing these days? It is really unlikely that he never ever came back to the forum again, just to read and look at the progress. Also it seems likely that he had at least one alt account that may even be sill active.
If he is not dead then maybe he is observing us all and maybe he will appear on the right time or when bitcoin is really in a critical condition like it's falling on a very low price like under 5 USD.

The reason why is because he wanted us to be calm but if the opposite thing happens like if the value of bitcoin is increasing up to a price where no one can imagine then I don't think he will do the same thing because number one; he is already proud of his creations and to the people that patronized it, and there's no need for him to say it in public. Number two is; he might be dead already when that time comes or maybe some us of here. That is why is better to enjoy than to keep on questioning.
2852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where is real pumps ? on: July 28, 2022, 07:29:47 PM
I think, no exchange or no coin gives you 100% -1000% profit. If it happens, everyone will invest to the coin or any exchange. I also trade in binance or other exchange, It is very hard to profit 100%-200% from any coin daily. If you hold for long term, then you can get a good profit.
Even if you are holding for the long term there is no guarantee that it will profit especially in the crypto market where a coin suffocates to survive more than a few months. Unless the coin is actually solving a real problem and has the metrics of a successful project, only then it will be profitable in the long term. When I think of long term investment in the current market, I cannot think of any coins apart from BTC, ETH, BNB & maybe SOL surviving more than a few years.

There are some NFT-based projects gaining a lot of momentum and hype but that's short-lived according to me because just like the ICO boom, this may come down quickly because of the large number of NFT coins being circulating now. Do all the research you want and it comes out that Bitcoin is still the far superior investment as compared to 99% of other coins out there.
2853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: lumin coin has 100x protential on: July 27, 2022, 09:58:05 PM
Another day another garbage token was coming to the market but the big question is what is this token for? Another shit token that used illuminati to be sold in the market. How dumb people who bought this a non sense token. I don't get how why people are so stupid these days to believe with this kind of token. Third alternative community banking system? stop talking non sense think about this non sense token. This is shit man. This will not go somewhere.
It will be dead with the goes of time. Old trick that repeated over and over again by scammer.
What is the token for? I think he already explained it clearly. It was a banking token but I think that anything with bank on them contradicts to cryptos since cryptos are like an anti bank. It's a free money. Not given free but what I mean is that people will have a freedom upon using them.

The only advantage of the project op promoting about is it has a dao based system where the people or the investor has the rights to change or to decide if how will the project goes. That is what I understand according to the description that I read in the op. He only did a mistake there for saying that this coin has 100x potential as that gives a bad signal for most of us here. We then think that it's just another crap coin.
2854  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2017 : 20,000$ - Bitcoin 2022 : 20,000$ on: July 27, 2022, 09:08:15 PM
Think Bitcoin has lost its bullish momentum? It feels like now continuing to hold BTC is pointless ...
First of I think the highest price of bitcoin in the year 2017 is only 18 to 19k, not 20k while on this year, we are not sure yet if we will end this year with a price of 20k or not because there are still some months left and there's always a chance for the BTC price to change. In the event the price didn't recovers a lot, then what can we do?

You can always expect that each new year, BTC will also reach a new ATH. That's wrong as that's not how this market works but there are two cycles here which needs to be followed. The bear and bulls can occur at a random time I believe. That is why. BTC may lost its momentum for a while but it surely can come back much stronger next time so no, hodling and buying BTC is not pointless.
2855  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's to make of the NFT craze in retrospect? on: July 26, 2022, 09:45:28 PM
Colored coins existed mainly in theory at the time and weren't widely known by the public. At the time everyone (non-coder) was focused on other drama that happens every day in this scene. Erc-721 protocol made nft known and popular. I guess cryptopunks weren't cute enough for media.
It's never about not being publicly known enough or not, it is about if it is worth to take it to the market to a high value. For example, cryptokitties was a crypto collectible which is basically the same idea as an NFT and at that time they were very popular when they first get out.

This means that NFT world could have ballooned up during that time as well but it didn't, we didn't had tens of millions of dollars exchanging everyday based on a few images. Why wasn't it then, but then it happened last year? The main reason is that we perfected it, the blockchain behind the NFT we saw with cryptopunks or apes or whatever became much better than what kitties had and that is why it became more popular, nothing more to it.
2856  Economy / Economics / Re: How much food can you store for survival?3 on: July 26, 2022, 08:50:56 PM
As the above user suggested if you were able to save dry fruits then it is able to be kept for a longer time period. For example if you're keeping Banana, it'll be wasted within a week. Same if you dry it and keep it on air tight containers it'll last for much longer time period. I don't know will people follow this and all in your country. In my region people used to dry banana and it is mostly exported and gives better revenue for the farmers. The price gets doubled when dried.
That's a good idea since a fresh fruit can get damaged easily but dried fruits can last little more longer and what's better with that is that they didn't take much space. You can just store them in any containers even plastic bags. Another benefit of them is that they are so nutritious even if you will just consume a little.

This is definitely one of the best foods for survival. Better if we can prepare a bag of them now in our home just in case unexpected events happens. On what country you are in the way? Must be from Asia? Because, I already saw they have that product you are talking about. Not only this food helps others, this will also help your country even more.
2857  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Bitcoin seem to have a high influence over other cryptocurrencies? on: July 24, 2022, 09:10:11 PM
Over the years, I have noticed  that every time Bitcoin's price goes down other alt coins follow suite. And When the price of bitcoin increases, its expected that  altcoins  go up in price shortly after. Presently as bitcoin price reduced other altcoin prices was affected too. Fact is that Bitcoin has the most secured network and it was the first among others. No doubt some alt coins was made of bitcoins clone.
It is primarily because of the traders rather than the hodlers.

They group all cryptocurrencies in one category, thus when one big cryptocurrency makes very high gains (e.g. BTC), they buy up the other big cryptocurrencies, and it has a kind of knock-on effect on the market.
That type of thing happens in all of the cryptos and all of the markets. If there is a good case to be made about the current situation we are in, that's what we are doing right now with the investments we do together just like the hedge funds does it in the stock market.

I get that it may not be something some people like and could call it a manipulation but at the end of the day we couldn't be really saying it's a bad thing considering how it has been a situation in the stock market before as well and why we wouldn't be really caring about it there, so we shouldn't care about it here neither. This is of course my personal opinion, maybe I am wrong but it feels like that would be the greatest idea to do right now, to let it go.
2858  Economy / Speculation / Re: Which crypto Youtuber called the top at 60-69k and told they would sell? on: July 24, 2022, 09:01:53 AM
I would be interested to know which cryptoyoutuber is honest:

Which crypto youtuber called the top at 69k and also said on his channel that he is now selling his bitcoin position?

Most crypto Youtuber were hopium dealers after all and not really honest. They used us to pump their bags and secretly sold Bitcoin at 60-69k without us telling it.

I know the "Blockchain Backer" called the top and said on his channel that he is now selling bitcoin at 65k.

What other crypto Youtuber has done that too?
Just because they got it right once doesn't mean that they would be right at all times. During the 2008 bubble there were plenty of people who knew that there would be a crash and they wagered against the housing bubble and they made a ton of money.

Most of those people didn't ever came up with that kind of profit ever again, some even lost all the profit they ever made. This is why I believe that we shouldn't be really shocked that some youtubers would know about this one, it could happen and that is normal. What we should realize however is the fact that it would take a while before we could see it happen again, they need to repeat that first.
2859  Economy / Economics / Re: Why You should not worry about BTC price action on: July 23, 2022, 03:11:54 PM
The bear market may even last until the end of next year, no one knows exactly how long the fall will take. But as for local growth, I do not rule out that growth up to 30k is possible, even now. Many believed that the fall would be long and there was no need to count on growth, and therefore there could be local growth now, against the expectations of the majority. But after that I expect that the fall will continue and it will be protracted.
That is what makes resisting the bear market so difficult, the fact that we do not know how long it is going to last is what makes a great deal of investors to sell their coins and capitulate, if we knew for sure the bear market is going to last until the end of the next year then I think a great deal of people could survive the bear market, but since we do not know for sure then a great deal of people begin to think that the bear market is going to last forever, and it is because of those thoughts they cannot endure the bear market.
How long it will last is irrelevant when you are resisting, because "resisting" sounds like you are doing something to back that off, in reality all you do is nothing. People need to realize the beauty of it, in order to profit from the long term investment, all you need to do is...nothing. If you bought, and you are waiting, and not selling, then what other action are you doing than nothing? Hence, resisting is easy, wait.

I personally keep on buying more and more, I would suggest the same. Unfortunately July has been one of the worst months in the past 1 year for me personally, so August will be so much more difficult that I would probably not even have enough to live, but I will earn a good chunk in September so it's fine. But so far, until this moment, I kept on buying more, and I am happy about it.
2860  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone bought Bitcoin/altcoins already? on: July 23, 2022, 02:16:55 PM
I stopped buying for a while because the price is seemingly on the move up and I don't want to make a wrong decision now as i have enough of my funds inside Bitcoin and altcoins .
i can completely say that I am ready for the next halving and can wait for another couple of years holding,
maybe the available funds that i have now will be spare for the coming money problem so i dont have to take part of my investment in crypto if there is a case of badly needed funds.
Sounds like a good defensive strategy  Smiley
I would definitely guess that the best thing to do right now would be keep buying, not stop buying. I get that it is a defensive strategy, but if you are too defensive then you are going to end up losing money. To make it a lot clearer, take an example on how you would have 200 bucks, but only bought 100 dollars worth of bitcoin 10 years ago, that would be different if you bought 200 instead right? Millions of dollars worth of difference.

I know it’s not "that" clear right now, but it is similar mindset and if you keep buying more right now, you would double your investment when it is a bit over 40k and you would quadruple it when it’s around 90k even less, and that will happen with next bull run.
