2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to profit from altcoins collapses? on: January 19, 2023, 11:49:31 AM
The premise is how do you know that this altcoin will crash, if this altcoin crashes no one will continue to buy it, you can only choose to short. If this altcoin does not crash, but has an upward trend, then it will be very dangerous for you to short, and the risk of investment definitely exists. This will test your insight into the market.
There are ways to know this. The main one would be if this was a poorly built altcoin and then it looks suspicious. It's crazy but when some shady alts crash, there are still people who invest on them especially if they are famous because they still expect that it will recover. If the altcoin continues to rise then isn't that great?

It means we can sell for a juicy profit but it's not only advisable to buy during those moments, only to be safe from the bull traps. Wealth are created during the bear seasons or whenever the coin collapses but it must be accompanied with a proper research so that we are sure that the alts that we will pick can still be able to recover.
2042  Economy / Economics / Re: More Money Problems that Bitcoin Solves on: January 18, 2023, 09:19:24 AM
Bitcoin overcomes people's finances, improves their lives, especially the economy, which can make someone who is poor with strong determination equal to the rich. Freedom over your own finances and the government doesn't like that. They can't cut crypto taxes, they can't make the state coffers grow. Therefore Bitcoin is always used as a label for money laundering in their eyes. Because the government has to print more money for Bitcoin disbursement. While CBDC is just an evolution of fiat, its nature and use remain the same in controlling how many assets are owned by the community.
That freedom, that "get paid what you deserve" instead of "get paid what the market around you tells" is the reason why I love crypto so much. I have been earning way more here than anywhere else I have ever worked in, you wanna know why? My contribution here is calculated, and when I make my boss money, he pays me good money.

If I didn't work hard, then I get paid less. In a regular job that I work, it has to be somewhere close to my house, even if with a ferry or a bus, it's around where I live, and that is why it's going to be paid very less because most of the time the buyers are close to where the seller is as well. Hence, crypto gave me freedom and feeling of worth.
2043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Poll: What percent of your portfolio is stored in Bitcoin/Crypto on: January 18, 2023, 04:15:02 AM
I haven't updated my exact portfolio since October of last year. But I think my bitcoin and altcoins are about 55% to 75% of my total investment portfolio. And it might continue to grow in my portfolio since I am buying bitcoin monthly as part of my DCA plan. And maybe some of my altcoins will make a sudden increase in price like x10. But I am trying to have a strict approach to buying more altcoins for now since the real bull run is yet to happen next year.

The local stock market in my country sucks big time. It performed worse than some of my altcoins at the top 50 mcap. I'd been planning to transfer them into crypto since last year and maybe I should give it time to do it before bitcoin halving year.
I think crypto is 100% of my portfolio in total, I do not have any money in anything else and that's a bit of a worry for me because I definitely shouldn't do that but I just can't get myself to trust anything else as much as I trust crypto. This is why it's really not a big deal to keep on trusting bitcoin and invest more because I know that's what I will do.

Every single month when I get my salary, I end up putting some money into bitcoin and this has been going on for many years now. I know that it may look very profitable right now, but there were times when it was better, it's more than 50% dropped from the top so it's really looking at green overall but not that green.
2044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anybody else confused by the dead-coins pump ? on: January 17, 2023, 10:02:54 PM
If functionality and technology were the most decisive thing in the industry, we would have seen completely different coins in 1st,2nd,3rd place a long time ago. Bitcoin is extremely slow, with expensive transactions and limited block size. Ethereum is very expensive in terms of fees. Still, this does not prevent these projects from being at the top, although many projects that can demonstrate a more technological approach, cheap commissions, fast transactions, are at the bottom.

You should never make a decision to invest in a project based solely on the project's outstanding technical features. It may turn out that everyone just doesn't care about the technology.
It is definitely not just about the tech. There are a lot of other things that we need to consider when we are investing and just the pure performance of it is not the main thing people look at.

First of all, decentralization and trust are the most important ones right now, just to give an example; bitcoin is unlike any other when it comes to "ownership", all those SOL and AVAX and Matic etc etc all those coins have a team at the top and that team could make it great or make it crash, bitcoin doesn't have anyone like that. Which is why I believe that we shouldn't invest into anything like that, ETH is quite similar, there is a foundation but not owner like team at least.
2045  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Breaking RSA Encryption with Quantum Computer on: January 17, 2023, 08:46:04 PM
Quantum computing is still years behind, so it is still an unique way computation that cannot interact withthe current computational model. This means that it still cannot be used to break any sort of encription used in tje current computation plane. Therefore, I believe the article is just plain and simple FUD. Nevertheless, it doesnt. Mean that we should stay unwoorried. On the contrary,  quantum computing is evolving and will soon get there, but as someone already mentioned, when that so happens, encryption will also evolve to cope with it. At least I hope so!
It may be years to go, but it doesn't solve the problem neither. We have to handle the issue first that such a trouble is out there upcoming one day and we do not have a solution to it. Well, we do but not implemented yet, we need to make sure that we could implement such a change if we could and that will definitely be a lot better for our ease of mind.

I am not saying that it's going to be a trouble forever, but it's going to end up being something we could handle in the long run if we are ready for it. This is why quantum computing is a risk even when it's not there yet, even when it's just worked on, maybe there is some time to go, but that is just the reality.
2046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why most of airdrops don't pay participants with tokens in these days?? on: January 17, 2023, 07:02:21 PM
Just don't participate random airdrops you don't know about. Some of them don't care about bounty hunters and looks like a lot of them have moved to model where they "randomly" pick 10-100 or such winners and divide airdrop with them. I have a hard time understanding why people would waste their time joining such obviously rigged raffles but maybe i people aren't reading the terms of the airdrop either when they are just participating as many airdrops as they can.
In addition, several airdrops deliberately target people who are easy to deceive by giving away useless tokens.
Sometimes, some airdrops also provide conditions that must be met before the project sends the token.
There is also an airdrops program that requires people who join to do KYC to get tokens which they claim could be very valuable in the future and it really isn't worth doing.
So it's better to avoid such airdrop programs and look for other projects that may be more promising in the future.
How do they trick people into making them work for basically nothing. The token worths absolutely zero, and they say things like "we will give 25k tokens worth 25k dollars" and people all are like "wow so much money! I want to join!" and they work for them to get 200-300 dollars worth of tokens, and when they do, it worths zero.

How is it not obvious from the start that the tokens would worth zero, I mean they literally trust your work to make it worth something to begin with. By that logic I would make my own token and make others work for me instead and get something? Isn't that simpler and easier to make money? Why am I working for you?
2047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 17, 2023, 05:50:33 PM
absolutely difficult for the cricket fans to watch the games, as the T20 Premier Leagues are held at the same time, it is not possible to watch all the matches. The main reason is matches are started simultaneously, so it is not possible to enjoy them thoroughly. Due to this condition i prefer these two leagues, Big Bash and BPL. Even though the South African league SA20 has attracted more fans than ever before.

There are still 24 matches left in SA20, Big Bass 17, BPL 32 matches and ILT20 has 29 matches remaining. Due to the fact that these leagues are held at the same time of the year, many people cannot enjoy them properly. It would not have been bad if the cricket boards had fixed a specific time to conduct these leagues and organized them step by step.
No doubt, right now cricketing festival is happening around the world with we have three franchise leagues and now U-19 cricket world cup for the women as well which is having good because now tables are turning wide open for them as well with the announcement of the WIPL and sell of media rights is also having good encouragement for the organizers these things are new for the cricketing fans because we never have leagues like this, but those are familiar with soccer they can understand this is usual business because every fan is surely going with his favourite team and league which is good for them.

With this all now we can expect good money involvement in cricket and things could be change in next few years which will bring changes and new concepts as well for the countries and leagues as well with this all IPL and WIPL could be leading leagues in cricket like we have English Premier League in soccer world.
2048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good way to promote Bitcoin or not? on: January 16, 2023, 08:29:04 PM
I think that you do very well in accepting bitcoin, because it is the money of the future, you have to see that all the benefits that bitcoin gives are many, it is a very good way of having a secure payment, and if the merchant wants to have that money in savings can increase greatly when bitcoin increases, bitoin's tendency is always to rise in price, in the short term things can become very confusing but understanding well what can be achieved is very large, it should be taken as The best way to have profitability up to a lifetime, because if you manage to have 1 bitcoin it is enough to live a life full of luxuries.
It's true, bitcoin is not even the money of the future anymore, it's literally money of todays world. I understand that fiat is still used a lot more that's true, but who invests into something that is considering such situations in the long run?

I have to say that it is not going to be any different in the future, bitcoin is the most invested money of all time; yeah all I am saying is that it is the most invested money of all time. That's why it's going to stay that way, nothing that you could spend and invest into at the same time could be this big, it's really insanely well designed.
2049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 16, 2023, 11:50:20 AM
Not Just as a Captain. He will be remembered as Performer as well. Dhoni always played a big role in Big matches. He achieved a lot more than other Indian captains. I feel sorry for him because he had to move aside to give a chance to young players. I don't see any problem because Dhoni encouraged team management to remove Viru from the team while he was captain. Each captain wants their favorite players on the team. So, I am not surprised.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni surely deserve the GOAT of the Indian cricket because as he changes things in Indian this all brings amazing discipline and quality and his record is still having place in Indian cricket with Golden Words because he was game changer with his performance and attitude as well even I believe Sourav Ganguly was also man who bring changes but Mahendra Singh Dhoni is surely much better and successful in bringing more trophies successes.

Every player and captain having good and bad things with their name and career, but he was really player and leader who was doing things for team and country and giving results as par are also best now Indian team will take long time for having player and captain like him.
2050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 16, 2023, 09:35:34 AM
In the end, it was actually an easy way for Zimbabwe. They won this match with one over left and also by 4 wickets. Actually, I do not think that it was a bad performance from Ireland. I think they did decently enough in this match. But a little more was expected from them when they knew that it was going to be the decider of this series. I believe if Ireland could get at least 15 more, they would have been in for a chance to win this series. And if Ireland could win this series, once again they could have been in the spotlight. Ireland is actually performing well recently.

But they are not being able to win any series against opponents like Zimbabwe and they are also not being able to win against bigger opponents like India at all even though they are performing quite competitively. That's why people are not talking about them.
Currently, both teams are under development but things looking much better for the Zimbabwe because they are rebuilding their side after long time and have positive results which will help them for having good view for the near future Ireland is also doing good as they lost few legendary players recently but still have strong connections in English counties which are giving them good players and experience hopefully these two countries will keep momentum, and we will be able to have improved quality and performance in cricket in near future.

Now, it's good time for these two teams to play as many matches because many other big teams are also having young players as their target is t20i World Cup2024 so preparing for this from now surely give good time and practice for having better results.
2051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coin caused Solana price to rise by 40% in a week on: January 15, 2023, 06:55:54 AM
Recently a meme coin was launched on Solana network which got a lot of hype. As a result, Solana prices are about 40% up in last one week. Do you think this is good thing or bad thing for solana ? Just a meme coin causing this boost instead of some solid news like good partnerships or adoption in some company.
There will always be some pumps in the market, even on the worst days look at CMC and you will see highest gainers being a lot, and you know you won't be picking that up. Many people hope that they would buy a token, and that token would be the highest earner of the day but we all know that is not going to be the case, very few people have it and that is why it goes up that much, since it lacks liquidity so even a million dollars will make it 3000% increase.

In any case, stay with the good ones, the big names, because they would give you a good long term profit instead of a pump and dump, and less risky to keep your money there as well.
It is definitely a rare situation to find 10% or more on a red day or even a red week, but they do exists. However, we are in a good week now, which means that there were some money going around in the market and it just didn't know where to land. We have managed to get a higher amount of funds and increase everything basically, the market looks as green as eyes can see which is a great situation to be in.

I am not saying that this increase was done because of the market situation, it came earlier but at the same time the outlook towards market must be a bit green during this period if we are talking about a following market being this much greener.
2052  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 14, 2023, 03:48:32 PM
So far, excluding the current bear market (which may or may not be coming to its end now), there were no losses of investment into Bitcoin for anyone who waited long enough. No matter at which price a person bought, Bitcoin has always recovered at some point. With altcoins, you can lose and never see your coins rise up high enough. With Bitcoin, it has never happened before, even though it's true that there's no protection against for the future. So it's not a loss if you don't sell. And considering that people shouldn't invest what they can't afford to lose, not selling shouldn't be an issue.
That is true and yet so many people do not understand the situation. If you bought bitcoin at 68k, even that could be fixed and you could get into profit for sure. I am not saying that it is a bad or good thing but it is definitely a situation you shouldn't worry about all the time.

If you bought at 68k instead of 16k, I can see what that could be considered bad, that's true, but if you sell now? That would be one of the biggest mistakes you would ever make. Hence, even if it was a bad thing in the past, it's time to find a solution and the solution is that bitcoin is something we should be recovering if we could, and that's a lot more important.
2053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 14, 2023, 12:41:10 PM
When the Test match between Pakistan and New Zealand was underway, it was assumed that Pakistan would probably have the advantage of home ground. But the picture on the field was different. There were two draws but those were tough for Pakistan. But still it was thought that maybe Pakistan can win the ODI series even if they don't whitewash but that didn't happen either. At one point they lost two consecutive ODIs and also lose the series.
There is no doubt Pakistan having home advantage but their current off the field issues and poor captaincy and issues in selection all were against them which is a bigger cause of their defeat in this ODI series lost most chances now in next few days we will have big changes like Babar Azam can lose his captaincy with now they are going to have two captains in red ball and white ball which will help to off load pressure and then Babar Azam will also able to perform better in batting which is most important for the Pakistan right now because they are going down in this department just because of their selection process which is not helpful for them and their batsmen.

As after this series they have long time for doing changes and bringing better system for their team which will help them for having better results because in last few months they are going badly down specially in red ball format.
2054  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multi-asset mode or single asset mode on: January 14, 2023, 11:44:40 AM
It's also worth noting that there are many crypto-exchanges available on the market, with different features and trading options, Binance is a popular one, but you can also check other reputable crypto-exchanges such as Bitmex, Bybit, KuCoin, etc. to see if they offer USD margin and multi-asset trading option, as well as checking their requirements and fees before sign up.
That is certain, I do check trading fee before I sign up on an exchange, it is very important. I also check bitcoin withdrawal fee. I have been using Kucoin for like 3 or 4 months now, it does not support multi-asset mode. I can not just be registering on individual exchanges to look for the exchanges that support multi-asset mode, that is the reason I created the last topic I referred to above, for people that are using the exchange that support it to let me know about the exchanges.
No matter what stuff's we are dealing with inside a crypto exchange, they always have accompanied with a fee so fees should be the first thing that we will check before anything else. Obviously, it's best to use a crypto exchange with a lesser fee, and as long as the feature that you are looking for are available on them.

I think it's possible to check a feature of the exchange without the need of registering on them. You can just do a research either outside or on this forum but having a thread here like what you did should help you as well. Other requirements like their limits and then the KYC should also come in mind before it interferes us later on.
2055  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price, January. $20000 or above possible? on: January 14, 2023, 10:43:32 AM
Whether bitcoin will unlock again over the weekend at $20,000 is like it would be very realistic to see a fairly quick upside, but said some speculation a correction is bound to happen again but I'd like to see $20,000 as a good starting point after a long wait of a bottom.

But the feeling is indeed this has been a positive trend for the past week it's probably going to be a nice continuation early in the year and the first quarter hit green after seeing a red market for so long.
Even though I won't sell, when the price goes up it's a pleasure for me.
That would actually help everyone out a lot, it would break something not just in price but in psychology as well. It would mean that we could be just focusing on how to make more money and people would say the bear run is over and we are going up again.

I am not saying that's the case right now, of course even after reaching half of ATH is a chance we could end up with lots of profits, but that doesn't mean that it will happen this way, it could very well end up going higher and higher. This is why I believe that we should be focusing on making more money in the future. All in all it is a good decision to make more profit at the end of the day by buying more right now but still being careful.
2056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you feel about market recovery on: January 14, 2023, 08:22:22 AM
I don't know if we call small pumps also bull run because for me the prices needs to jump high and on constant basis and that will happen when there will be huge investments in market again which is not happening now so just wait and see what the market reacts next as it could go down again with next fluctuations.Bull run is still awaited but hope we enter it soon.
Small pumps can be called as mini bull run but not a regular bull run of course. You defined the bull run well in your post and also what can cause it. What makes people invest heavily is of course when there is a bear market or the price of the coins are falling down but there might be some who invest when the market is recovering because this is the only time that they feel confident.

So, we are here in the moment where the market is recovering again. I expect this will continue since there are people who will now re-enter and buy more coins. The feeling is superb when the market is recovering especially now that we haven't saw it at a very long time.
2057  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits 20,000$ again, what is the reason? on: January 14, 2023, 06:04:54 AM
I'm shooked to see it hit $21,000 again this morning for a while and then back to $20,800. Within a week, coming from $16,900+ then now it's $20,800 and will likely to be staying there for a while. It's funny when I was browsing on the web and for some other groups, people which are likely new to the market saying that it's because of the outfit of Ms. El Salvador. Honestly, it made me laugh and thought that these people really are believing with such but it's fine because I've been there as well. I also start people telling that everyone should secure their profits, yeah, secure yours folks while me I'll just keep on chilling and continuing with my plan that I'll keep holding no matter what happens.
Although it's not new for BTC to pump in a quick amount of time, still we can't help but be surprised to what it showed lately since January started poorly and then many are expecting for a slow recovery or none recovery at all but only just an added dump.

Those who link the recent increase to the move did by El Salvador in Miss U., might be right since I don't see any positive news other than this. Even in this forum, a lot of forum veterans here are also saying the same thing.

If you want Bitcoin to be more successful then you should encourage people to buy more and HODL, and not to give them a notice about securing their profits now. BTC isn't just a nobody but it is an extraordinary coin.
2058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bottom of the Bear Market...let's accumulate!! on: January 13, 2023, 10:04:21 PM
For those of you still trying to build out a Bitcoin stash you can be happy with, including those of you trying to get up to being a whole-coiner, this will likely be the last year you can make significant progress on that as it'll start getting real hard to accumulate tenths of a bitcoin when the price is mid five figures, high five figures, and in the six figures.
I agree that this must the last year where we could see the bitcoin prices trading below $20k levels. At the same time, I feel like it would be too early to speculate anything about six figures of bitcoin prices. Because, by history, bitcoin might need another halving to test anything beyond $100k levels.

I am personally into accumulating bitcoins for years as I never bother about the trends. Yeah, I have bought bitcoins almost everywhere from 65k to $16k levels in this current cycle.
Halving will surely make it go over 100k, we are going to not stay here for too long and the price will start to go up gradually, before the halving starts I believe we will go back to 50k levels, and after the halving doing another 2x will not be a trouble. Which is exactly why I am buying right now and will continue to buy until I can't.

It just means that if I buy so much, then when the price goes up I will be in that much profit. And we are talking about just this year, and this havling, and I am telling you, if I buy right now, and sell 2-3 halvings later, how much more profit that is compared to just this halving? That is why it's important to keep accumulating.
2059  Economy / Economics / Re: These Are the Top 10 Most Profitable Side Hustles in 2023 on: January 13, 2023, 09:42:54 PM
The pay from some side hustles are big enough to keep them comfortable for some weeks, better than earning monthly from working in an office. Talking about side hustles, One of the most profitable side hustles could be the job of a middle man or and intermediary for deals claiming a percentage for every deal sealed. This job is very unpopular and the requirement mostly is that you have contacts of people who perform various services and contacts of people who need these services. It is a dangerous job mind you, but with wisdom you can secure a life changing percentage from a closed deal.
This really depends, but side hustles are usually less than your main job; it's just that you add another source of income because your main job's salary is insufficient to cover your bills. Also, having side hustles is very difficult because you have things to sacrifice like time and sleep. That is why I respect those kinds of people, mostly if they have family to feed, as they are doing this for their family so that they can provide a comfortable life for their children. I also do a side hustle right now, and it is very tiring overtime, but I will use my family as motivation so that I can survive the day.
It is not exactly the same thing. I mean if you have a main job and a side hustle, your side hustle could become your main job as well. That's what happened to me, I used to work somewhere, but then found my current job and then I started to earn more from this than my real job and stopped going to my main job and started to just use my then side hustle to be my main job instead.

It has worked so well that I have been doing it for over 6 years now, because it turned out to be better than any job I have ever had, in fact better job than anyone I know. Hence, your side hustle doesn't need to be a small income all the time, it could very well become your main job slowly.
2060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you have 1 bitcoin? on: January 13, 2023, 07:10:11 PM
Hope you have success in accumulating more Bitcoin by taking advantage of current bear market, which is still struggling to show some early signs of improvement. It is very difficult to predict Bitcoin price with certainly but CPI report released yesterday, suggests that current money tightening policy of FED is producing desired result, this can result in pause in interest rate increase or less harsh increase in 2023, & it can lead to stabilization in all financial markets, including crypto, in coming months.
I would guess that not only they will stop increasing the interest rate hikes, but they will also stop it completely and maybe even reverse it sometime this year as well. They have already taken it to very high price and I am not expecting it to stay like this, which means that we are going to end up with something much lower eventually, maybe not in the following few months, but by the end of this year, I am expecting it to start going lower.

This would mean people will once again take their money out of the banks and start using them to buy assets or even build more business opportunities and hire more people which will help the economy get back on track.
