2061  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Do and Don't for Electrum Wallet on: January 13, 2023, 05:31:22 PM
On the other hand, I always download the latest version of Electrum to use and so far I haven't had any problems with either the old or new versions of Electrum. I have also read about his unfortunate incident, what the real cause is only he knows best, but I dare say it was his fault and not Electrum's. Electrum is arguably the most popular hot wallet in use to date, just because of a few cases of attacks we assume it's the wallet's fault. That is not correct, all attacks are largely due to user behavior.
It's really a big deal when something like this happens, and it's always an individual issue so we do not know if there is a general problem and what not. I have to say Binance is more secure than most of these, and people do not see it. I understand the logic behind it, you just do not trust someone else holding your money, I get it.

But, how many people lost their money on Binance, and how many did it when it was on their wallet? There are a lot more people who fail to do proper security on electrum and get "hacked" whereas Binance will keep your money safe, and with 2fa it is near impossible to get hacked as well which shows how great it is.
2062  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 13, 2023, 04:49:41 PM
Iam a victim of revenge trading unfortunately it had done more harm to my account than good, after some losing streaks I do embark on revenge trading due to emotion which I think it isn't intentional while deviating from my main trading strategy in most cases I blew up my account and have to start afresh, I believe this often common among newbies In a bid to recover losses swiftly ended up losing more money, though I always trade with the amount of money I can afford to lose, obviously to be successful in trading one has be well disciplined to overcome any form of emotion and also avoid changing trading strategy.
We all did it at some point in our lives and that's a sad thing of course but that doesn't change the fact that we shouldn't be really feeling a lot more responsible for it. I have to explain to people that it's not going to be a great thing to keep fighting for a grain of profit just to make that money back, and we all did follow our losses with a revenge and lost. If we kept moving on and not focus on that loss then we would have lost less.

In any situation, we learned from it, and that money gone means that the future will be better. I never did a revenge trade again after my first few, which means that I learned from my mistakes and it totally worths it.
2063  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: January 13, 2023, 01:28:02 PM
Recently I have been trying to come up with ways of making some money on the side and thinking of giving trading a go.

I have zero experience and have just been looking on Coinbase at the best and worst performers of the day.

I am thinking of buying coins that are 15% or more down and then selling once they pump 10% and move onto the next one that is 15% down and then again sell at 10% profit and just keep repeating.

Anyone done something similar or will it just lead me to losing my money?
It's normal to be dumbfounded at first because it would just mean that you are starting out and it's normal. People who expect any good profit for the first 6 months of trading, are people who either have no idea how hard trading is, or they could get lucky with an insanely good bull run and make that profit.

For example, if you started trading at January of 2021, and traded until summer? That would make you so much money and you were in a lucky situation but that also leaves the fact that what could you do in 2022 with nothing learned in 2021? That's why it's important to realize you should not be good at first, that's normal and it will take a while before you could get better.
2064  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Those who survived previous winter, please share some courage! on: January 13, 2023, 10:59:51 AM
For people have budget to do so yeah this is perfect strategy and it will only cost low energy for you to do so compare doing some trades everyday. Since hodling doesn't need any technical strategies and you need to buy then set some timeline on when you want to sell it especially when bull market came. Hodling bitcoins has proven for so many times effective and many holders became rich for doing this.
Even though cryptos are divisible and we can be able to invest in them even at tiny amounts, I still think that you are right. In order for the long-term investing to become effective. One must add coins to his stash regularly. He can do this by buying at the dip or by just doing a DCA. It's also true that investing requires only low effort because we can just pick a top crypto and then abandon the market for a while.

We will only come back after a long year but that must also be when the coins are rallying and have reached their new all-time highs. This is pretty different in trading. In trading, a constant analysis is required. Not just a simple one but it's mostly technical.
2065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Criteria of a good gambler on: January 12, 2023, 09:56:42 PM
I know myself I overcame addiction by realizing that I can control myself. It's a long process to control yourself from over doing gambling and resisting the temptation to play again but it's doable. It's easier to said than done. I've countlessly failed in limiting myself in terms of doing gambling and not overspending in it but yeah it can be achieved by slowing down and consistently doing it.
Of course, it won't be easy. Dealing with addiction is always difficult because it is to limit something we have done regularly. If we have no strong intention and don't want to force ourselves, it simply fails. However, you have proven it that by countless efforts and you tried it constantly, finally you can succeed to recover from addicts. No problem if you take a long time to recover, the most important that you can recover now. I suggest to avoid everything that can lead to addiction again, you also must commit with yourself to gamble in a proper way.  Smiley
Not limit but it must be totally cut out. Only those who are allowed to limit are people who aren't totally addicted yet but is slowly heading on that path. Recovering from addiction is hard so it might take a long time but I think it can also depend.

There maybe some addicts whose recovery rate is much faster than the others. Things that they do can contribute with it eg. doing mental exercise, regular exercise, eating the right foods and praying. Once cured, I don't suggest that they must be exposed on gambling-related stuffs. We don't want to waste the time they spent on recovering plus we can still live normally and happily even without gambling.
2066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 12, 2023, 06:33:29 PM
And that's what's happening ICC is worried about their financial from BCCI and don't want to upset them ,along with that they can't change venue without any valid and strong reason so they are letting go of this matter and with time something will change and everything will be settled according to BCCI wish.
Of course, ICC is not going to do anything that upsets their “ golden goose”. But if they do change the venue, the cricket fans are going to be furious. So they cannot do that either. I think the plan is not to say anything right now and let them do whatever they are doing on Twitter. And after that, eventually, things will work out and Pakistan will be able to host the Asia cup.

India will also not complain too much about that. This wouldn’t have been happening if there was no hatred between these two countries. We all know that this is happening because of political pressure.
Most chances ICC will be silent in this case and both countries will also not reach on any positive way about this Asia Cup because here I will blame India as doing negative things for the development of the game because they are big, and they have to do things for the better future of the game instead of creating problems because but India's inner politics is mostly based on sentiments needs to be against Pakistan and in recent times this gone on highest level which is good for the ruling party, and they will never give any weak point for damaging their reputation about this all.

Pakistan is currently facing many other issues as well which are needed to be fixed but having not solid policies which is also favourable for the India with this all for me most chances we will have Asia Cup on neutral place and then Pakistan will be also in India for the World Cup because they can't afford to leave this all.
2067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 12, 2023, 05:19:00 PM
we need to look at the positives. As far as I can see, all of the senior Bangladeshi players are taking part in the BPL. No one has opted for the other leagues, such as the SA20, BBL and ILT20. BPL is being broadcasted around the world, including the main market of India (Fancode is livestreaming the matches). According to various sources, BPL has provided profits of $23 million since 2012. This is not a small amount and given the scope for future growth, there is a good chance that BCB can shrug off its dependence on the ICC, if they are able to further develop this league.
Yeah, Indian market is big help for the BPL in current situation because they can take good advantage of this and also profit can also be increased but this all needs good marketing and better facilities which bring quality players from every part of the world; right now we have not good player with mostly are Bangladeshi and few which are not involved in any other league, so they are selected but increase of salary and change in marketing tactics could be better because I have feeling they can overtake SA20 and ILT20 as well with their strong economy and with better things which help for having good players from all countries.

BBL is also achievable for them, but this is not easy with the strong backup of Cricket Australia and their quality, which is surely one of the best in the world BCB needs to have fair and better management for this all as well.
2068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LCX vs BNB on: January 12, 2023, 09:35:15 AM
This Liechtenstein exchange is far away from Binance Exchange. Take note that BNB is composed of two entities, BNB got Binance Smart Chain and Binance Exchange at the same time.
If you take a look at Binance Smart Chain (BSC) itself, Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network already got around $4 billion in TVL for all the DeFi platforms deployed to their platform right now.
It seems this Liechtenstein Exchange right now is majoring in and focusing on its cryptocurrency exchange.
It's my first time to hear about lCX. That maybe because they are a new project. It's normal that they will be focusing on their primary concept first and that would be on their crypto exchange but after that. They might also create their own chain like what binance and other crypto exchanges did. For now, comparing them to binance seems a bit off or unfair. Even the leading crypto exchange right now are also being compared with binance but binance still ends up as a winner.

This won't mean that our focus are now going to be in binance but of course trying something different is also a good idea. Who knows maybe their coin pumps up one day? Or their exchange offer something unique which aren't yet found in binance.
2069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Not To Use Mobile Altcoin Wallet - But Use Desktop Wallet on: January 12, 2023, 08:39:30 AM
One of the campaign managers here named julerz12 has been hacked recently and he's been using Electrum's desktop version https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5433643.0 You may be right on adding anti-virus as an added layer of protection since julerz12 didn't have one on his computer. I just posted that to serve as a lesson for every reader.

Desktop wallets are probably less vulnerable in comparison to mobile version but don't be too complacent just because you're using the former. Practice the best security and aim to have a cold or hardware wallet if you can afford one.
Came here only to post in thread but I got hooked reading that link posted there. Julerz is not a newbie. He knows that he hold a good amount of money and yet he seems to be confident enough that no one will hacked him.

On topic. I think every computer do always came up with an anti-virus but even if we noticed that they aren't installed, we will download one immediately because computers are more vulnerable to attacks than in mobile. With that said, I can trust mobile wallets more than the desktop one but of course I will choose the best brand of wallets out there. I am a long time mobile wallet user and so far so good. I never experience any issues yet.
2070  Economy / Economics / Re: Rich Mindset vs Poor Mindset : 6 key differences on: January 11, 2023, 10:42:21 AM
Can't comparison about rich and poor mindset depend them have to spent money for daily day needed, no doubt easy for rich people spent their money for investing but we can't fault about poor mindset about their money have spent more without used half for investing. Having contrast difference between rich and poor person about their money management.

I think still at young age and haven't family is the best way how to adopt with rich mindset and never spent money for something not really important, when having family I don't know can't spent half of our income due many necessities in everyday life. I hope here for every one adopted with rich mindset when still single and don't waste your money for not really urgent needed.
That's the difference and the threshold for sure. If you do not worry about regular life expenses, if you have enough money that it's not a problem to pay the bills, then you are rich, that's my understanding of rich.

This is about 4-5 thousand dollars in most places of the world, outside of places like London or New York for example. But in my nation, if you are making more than 5k per month, and it's guaranteed so not like in 10 years suddenly you are poor, I mean guaranteed income? In that case you are rich. And those people could have a lot better investments because even if they fail, the worst case is not worrying about money, best case, being even richer than you were.
2071  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans are once again quitting their jobs at a growing rate on: January 11, 2023, 09:02:11 AM
Quote
The overall quits rate climbed from 2.6% in October to 2.7% in November. Quits in the private sector hit 3% again, an increase from 2.9% the previous month. Job openings also remained steady from October to November at 10.5 million.
Should we be worried about this statistic? The quit rate growing from 2.6% to 3% doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
The ability of the people to quit their job and find a better job fast is actually a good sign for the labor market and it's flexibility.
However, we don't know how many of the people, who are quitting manage to find new jobs.
I think that the amount of job openings will start decreasing at the beginning of 2023. The labor market cooling down is supposed to be a signal for decreasing inflation.
The problem is that there are a lot of people who are unemployed as well. Which means that not only people quit, but they also do not find jobs like candy neither. Plus, it means if there are too many people quitting mcdonalds and start working at burger king, and the ones at burger king quit and start working at mcdonalds, the teacher and the designer that has been looking for work for the past 6 months are not in this calculation.

So all in all, there is a problem with not offering good enough wages and not enough jobs at the same time. Just because you could find near slave conditions work anytime you want, doesn't mean there is no job shortage happening.
2072  Economy / Economics / Re: What was your lowest point financially? How did you go through it ? on: January 10, 2023, 09:54:22 PM
Everybody has a story to tell about their financial or non-financial struggles, so we all know that life is not perfect. However, all I can say is that in order to achieve our goals, we simply need to put the past behind us and concentrate on the future. Even the successful posts we see on the internet are not without their challenges, especially when it comes to careers in business.

But as for me is when my father was in a sick bed for over three years. My father was a diabetes patient at Same time he was suffering from spinal cord injury, so we spend a lot of money to cure him to extend that drained his account and my mother's account that later we are we are surviving on loan and last last he lost his life.so from that three good years I was always in seriously struggling condition because I have no job doing and I always stay with my father take care of him. it is hardly I eat two times in a day some times.
It's the "success stories" that I love reading or watching because it usually shows they did nothing different from most people, and yet they got lucky that's it. Most rich people in the world did something that anyone can do, and they did absolutely nothing that is shocking to the investor world or even any person who tried their hand at a startup would tell you it's nothing special, but they got lucky.

Like look at facebook, it's the most mundane and ordinary thing ever, and look at how big they got, the idea is nothing special at all, and yet they are huge. Which is why those success stories matter, shows they did nothing different than the millions who tried and failed, the only difference was luck.
2073  Economy / Economics / Re: The Taste of an Economic Downturn on: January 10, 2023, 07:49:31 PM
What do we expect from a corrupt system? I am not bashing the president, I know the guy won by a landslide and he might want to improve the nation. But the whole system run by politicians and government officials, in general, is rigged and corruption is too rampant from the top down to the lowest position. Laws are not for the masses but for the rich and giant corporations who's been paying and sponsoring these government officials.

Regarding the basic commodities in the country, hoarding is rampant. Exploitations of farmers are rampant. Many times the government noticed these over the years yet I never heard of people being arrested.
Corruption in politics exists because corrupted politicians have a higher chance to win. That's the trouble, if you build a great grassroots campaign and win that's one thing but it's very very rare and usually doesn't happen. Whereas, if we are talking about corrupted politicians, they would do whatever in their power, even illegal stuff, just so they could keep their power and that means they have a lot more chances to be elected, because if you fight fairly then you will lose.

Just imagine a boxing match where one boxer fights fairly, and the other has a knife, how fair is that? Sure here and there the fair one will win, but the one with the knife has a much better chance isn't it? That's the situation.
2074  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Kevin McCarthy 'agreed to cut aid to Ukraine' to secure US speaker role on: January 10, 2023, 06:08:05 PM
It is true that the spending on Ukraine is really having a negative impact on the economy of the US. But we are talking of war which leads to the loss of lives and properties massively. How would the US after encouraging Ukraine to go to war and promising them all the support now suddenly withdraw their support? The United States, NATO, and its allies should ensure that the war ends before they withdraw their support. They should seek peace with Putin before their fight about who has contributed the most. The other European nations cannot contribute the same quota because the US is richer and stronger. Kevin McCarthy should consider that reducing the US budget on defense would cause disunity and disagreement among the friends of Ukraine. I pity Ukrainians because, without quality support from the US, this war might turn against them.
I do not think that spending on Ukraine war would have that much bad impact on American economy at all. First of all it helps an ally to become even a better ally, and considering Russia is a natural enemy of USA, it is important that Ukraine wins this war, if Russia takes the lands they want to take, and even worse put a puppet like Belarus at the top of Ukraine? That's going to be pretty tough to recover from and USA would be hurt by it as well.

This is why it's quite important that we end up with fighting towards helping Ukraine win this war, it would be definitely a much better result if they win for USA as well and money you spend now, would be investment for it.
2075  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you really think about trading bots? on: January 10, 2023, 06:29:21 AM
I'm skeptical regards trading bots, because if they were profitable, every traders could just acquire the top notch bot available in the market, set it up, and earn passive income from the bot's work. It's not what happens for real, though. And in fact it would be impossible, as they are only bots and not seers. As forum members have related, from the accessibility and interactivity point of views, bots are great, but they don't guarantee profit, and in this case I think it's the most important aspect they fail in achieving.
Nothing guarantees profit anyway, so if you want to test it out and the only thing that keeps you away from it is the fact that you are not entirely sure if you are going to make money with it or not, then you should give it a go.

However, the reality is that "will I be able to use it" is a much bigger trouble, because I have seen a million people who fail to use it properly and their stupidity becomes 7/24 thanks to the bot they are using. This is why most people should not use, only the very greats should because their awesome trading becomes 7/24 instead. The guaranteed profit thing will not be real in any way or shape so it's better to not really look at anything else.
2076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Digital dollar a threat to Bitcoin ? on: January 09, 2023, 08:53:01 PM
It's a tricky one, but I absolutely believe that the digital dollar poses a threat to bitcoin. There is a possibility that the federal government will enact absurd taxes and restrictions. There are a number of ways in which this could negatively impact bitcoin owners, and even lead to a desire to sell their assets. As a result, the Fed will provide bitcoin owners with a tempting offer to convert their funds to the digital dollar at an initial one-to-one exchange rate that will eventually depreciate.
Yes, it is a tricky one to say. But I'm viewing the opposite thing where it is the digital dollar (government) who views bitcoin as their enemy and poses a threat and not the other way around. Governments around the world won't be creating such thing like digital currencies if bitcoin is not stressing them out, just like China, they have banned the use of it because they don't know yet how it really works because they cannot control it as well. But they can't blind the people nowadays because eventually, these digital currencies will depreciate because they aren't designed to avoid inflation.
I highly doubt that it's about fear, if you think that governments fear anything, you have no idea how powerful they are. The thing about the current situation is that they are worried about the fact that they could make some huge amounts of money out of this and they are not, and that's what they want to be able to do.

This digital dollar is exactly for that purpose, they want to make a huge amount of profit, and they will make it when they start. It's not about threat, it's about getting rich, and making your friends richer as well. With this digital dollar, they are going to print unlimited amount of money that is going to be sold to public, and that digital dollar will have no value whereas real money will be in politicians pockets.
2077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin adoption and On-boarding of a tailor friend. on: January 09, 2023, 07:12:50 PM
Good investments never see a huge demand by people who don't understand/want to understand the new asset class because it is like striking their head off a wall, so they'd better go for things that suit their mentality as well as are understood by them easily, as they do not want to learn more about crypto or have some fear (FUD) in their minds and hearts due to what happened recently in crypto space. I bet that before you go and talk about crypto to your friends and family, they either have watched it already getting broken down from nearly 2 trillion to under 1 trillion in just one year, or they have been projected bad things about crypto by some outsiders before you approached them.
The difference between lower income nationality and higher income is also harder for the concept. If you live in the UK, and making 2200 pounds a month which is not a lot, and living barely, and your wife makes 1900 as well, you guys are living a low end life there, and it would be pretty difficult to live in London for example, so you go somewhere else that sucks, like Brighton or something.

This means you are making close to 4k pounds, and you are unhappy with it. Whereas an African may make 500 and would be quite happy. Hence explaining to a British person to go into crypto is harder, but you could tell an African to join in, and find a way to get paid 500 dollars from signature campaign or bounty or whatever you know.
2078  Economy / Economics / Re: WEF On Cryptocurrencies: Crypto is here to stay on: January 08, 2023, 06:05:23 AM
In my opinion, both the Internet and cryptocurrencies are incredibly important and revolutionary inventions.  These are two steps towards building a full-fledged virtual space (Virtu space).

The Internet is the first trial model of the Virtu space.  Bitcoin is a decentralized value transfer protocol in a given virtual space.  At the same time, one must take into account that the creation of a virtual space (Virtu, Metaverse, etc.) is far from over, it is just beginning.

In the future, the virtual space will be absolutely indistinguishable from the real world and people will actively use it for work, communication and entertainment.

The virtual space will be based on several basic protocols, and Bitcoin will be the most important of them.
I would guess that "in the future" it will happen, but in an era where people can't even afford to buy the latest GPU, and even if they could it could run out of stock, I highly doubt we are there at all. I think it's clear that technology needs to improve a lot more, and I mean a lot more in the sense that sci-fi novels type of a lot more, flying cars and all that type of a lot more.

Because right now, the tech is at the infancy stage and it's possible to build a world in a very crude manager, like caveman period of humanity by comparison. This means we need to wait decades before we could do anything close to that. This means we will be pretty old when it happens, maybe not be alive.
2079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 07, 2023, 04:00:49 PM
New Zealand tried really hard to get a result, but failed as a result of ICC rules and bad luck. In the end, it turned out to be another boring draw which would add a few more nails in test format's coffin. This bilateral series makes no sense. PCB prepares dead tracks, so that their team can sneak in with a draw. Still, New Zealand were so close to a win. All credit to the New Zealand captain (Tim Southee) for injecting some life into this otherwise illogical test series. Anyway, the torture is over now. Test series drawn at 0-0.
In last three test series at home PCB is completely exposed as one of the worst cricket board in the world because their poor facilities and bad management bring them defeated in two series and in last against hardly they earned draw just because of thanks to bad light in both matches which is surely joke for the world and cricketing community they need to improve things for the future or have to face consequences if they are not going to improve things for having better results.

Today I was reading they are going to appeal against Rawalpindi pitch demerit point as this was second after having against Australia, but sadly they are not improving things for better and fair play, but they want things with other ways which is also not suitable for them because they have to improve their system and domestic network as well.

Hello, what platform do you recommend to do copy trading that you can start investing with less than 100 dollars? I understand that most platforms require a minimum of 100 to do copytrading, right?
are there any other options besides bingx to start with less than 100?
And some tips to choose the best traders?

Etoro platform is one of the most famous copy trading platform but I don't know why you choose copy trading and if you did because you heard something like you can become rich with no skill and less money then its just an advertisement gimmick to gather more traffic but in reality there is no guarantee that even top earning trader will do the next trade in profit.
It is just advertisement gimmick and nothing more. Just because someone made some profit before, doesn't mean you could follow them up later on and make a lot of profit that way neither, that was then and now is now, there is a difference.

I made insane amount of profits back in the day as well and now I am not making that much profit, which proves my point that if you saw me just 3-4 years ago and even just 2 years ago, and how much I profited, you may have considered me as a great trader and follow me, but the past 1 year I have constantly lost money and if you started to follow me because of my past, you would have lost most of your money in the last 1 year.
