2861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin whales took high risks, while studying price movement in the past on: July 07, 2023, 04:37:07 PM
It is interesting to read this. A shame that more people weren’t sounding this alarm back then. It does sort of show why the market went so crazy so suddenly. I think we may see one final adoption wave to push up the price like that when spot ETFs are introduced to the market, which will push early buys like this into the stratosphere.
2862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the way to Prosperity for a Determined Dreamer on: July 07, 2023, 04:35:05 PM
While holding Bitcoin can indeed be life changing if bought and sold at the right time, I think better than that would be building a business that utilizes Bitcoin in a new way to solve problems and bring value to your customers. The potential to build successfully in this new economy might be the real way to prosperity for generations.
2863  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some poker terminologies you may want to know on: July 07, 2023, 04:32:44 PM
Nice information. I wasn’t familiar with all of the terms you listed, which isn’t that surprising since I don’t play poker all that much except for in person fun with friends. I’m used to more well known terms like Double Down or Insurance. However, the term I think most people are chasing these days is Rakeback, which I guess isn’t a strictly poker term.
2864  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 07, 2023, 04:29:59 PM
I think the “stability” we’re seeing in the market is a strong base being built on $30K. The dips below are getting shorter and shorter, so there’s clearly buying interest at that level. While I hate to be the guy to say it, I do think that in 10 months from now we will likely never see a Bitcoin price below $30K ever again in our lifetimes.
2865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 07, 2023, 04:27:45 PM
^ Not the worst trade I guess. Especially when you consider that getting Dame would probably draw in free agents that are worth more than what Miami would be giving up for him. Concerning news for the league is the rumor that if Dame gets traded anywhere other than Miami that he will refuse to report. His image might be about to take a hit.
2866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 06, 2023, 11:01:56 PM
According to the latest news I've read, there is only one team that Damian Lillard wants to be traded to now and that is the Miami Heat. (Shams Charania)

If this trade happens, it will be very good for the Miami Heat.
Do you think this trade will happen?

Damian Lillard's agent, Aaron Goodwin, said keeping Lillard on the team or trading him to a team other than Miami would make Lillard unhappy.

Teams don't want to add an unhappy player to their team.

I don’t know… There are a lot of teams that want Dame’s services and if given the opportunity they would surely jump at it. Portland also talks great about how they’re going to do what it takes to make Dame happy, but at the end of the day it’s a business and the best deal will be the one they take, regardless of how it makes them look.

The Blazers are also not pleased with the offer from the Heat, as it is not attractive enough. There are numerous teams that would be interested in acquiring Lillard, and the Blazers would likely be happy to explore trade possibilities.

However, if Lillard himself is not content with the potential destination, it could create complications for the receiving team. In this kind of situation, it would depend on the specific circumstances and the priorities of the Blazers' management. They would need to carefully consider Lillard's wishes, team dynamics, potential trade packages, and long-term goals in order to make the best decision and handle the situation effectively.
Portland doesn't want Tyler Herro is what it likely boils down to. He's not good for their culture. I think in order for Miami to get the deal done, they are going to have to involve a 3rd team. Maybe the 3rd team gets Herro and Miami gives up a couple draft picks while Portland gets the draft picks and a player from the 3rd team. Whatever it is, it's going to take alot more then what has been offered so far.

Brooklyn Nets are being talked about in this trade. (Portland-Miami-Brooklyn)
Brooklyn Nets want to send Ben Simmons off the team, maybe they can get Tyler Herro. Let's see what kind of trade Portland will make.

Portland swapping Damian Lillard for Ben Simmons would be one of the biggest fails they could possibly partake in. They’d be losing a great player for a mentally destroyed player with a bad contract. I don’t think there’s any way that happens and if it does then the Trailblazers owner should immediately fire the general manager of the team.
2867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Mining Shed on: July 06, 2023, 02:49:21 PM
Looks great. I too tend to scale back or shut off mining in the summer due to not wanting to exhaust all the cool air from my house only to have to power my air conditioner to recool it. Besides the added electrical cost, you’ll wear out your AC unit and have costly repair bills. It’s too hot where I live to get by with a mining shed or I’d be all over it.

Does this mean they are completely scrapping the immersion cooling product? Did they confirm to you that it was issues with shipping or was it issues with the product itself that has cause this failure to deliver? I really hope somebody get this product figured out because I’ve wanted to go immersion cooling for over half a decade now.
2869  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run near already? on: July 06, 2023, 02:43:13 PM
While I’ve personally enjoyed the doubling in Bitcoin price since the bottom, I am still awaiting the anticipated bull market for this cycle. In my opinion, the real bull market won’t officially kick off until after the correction that will come immediately after the halving next April. I suspect a bottom around next 4th of July will provide an entry point for a year long run that will amaze people.
2870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: July 06, 2023, 02:38:03 PM
If someone claimed they have the right strategy for gambling and winning more times than losing, why can't they use the strategy for themselves and change their lives first?

Why did they go around looking for people to teach? This is why experience after following a friend to a gambling group on telegram, but I am not ready to take the step in any other their predictions..

My question for you my friends is are there sport betting groups that gives betting calls that are legit? Because I believe that if anyone knows a way to change their life around, they won't tell anyone, they will enjoy the moments and pray it last forever.

Sports betting groups do seem a lot like investment groups. It’s the kind of thing where if the leader of the group was as good as they claim, they wouldn’t need to sell you their service because they’d have more money than they need. It’s all just the content creator diversifying their revenue to something more stable at the cost of their subscribers.
2871  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30k Bitch!!! on: July 06, 2023, 02:36:19 PM
It is looking like $30K might be in jeopardy here due to the unexpected strength in the latest jobs report. A lot of negative news seems to be counteracting the recent ETF rally. It seems to me like the government is trying to align things so the ETF approvals will soak up the mtgox coins in an effort to smooth out the highs and lows of the Bitcoin market. We’ll see how the end of the year goes I guess.
2872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: July 06, 2023, 02:34:04 PM
I think it’s easy to bet on a specific sport for a few reasons. First, maybe you enjoy watching the sport and you’d like to increase your enjoyment by having some skin in the game with a bet. Then there’s also the knowledge you gain when being familiar with a sport that could help your gambling odds using your knowledge from watching the sport.
2873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: July 06, 2023, 02:32:26 PM
but if they are going to have weapon then maybe there will be a different result  Grin Elon Musk is actively engaging in fitness and action aswe can see in His built and indeed that no doubt he will win if the fight happens near time.
but if  this will be happening in the next 5-10 years? while Mark is now practicing boxing as internet says? maybe the result will go sideways.

Grin Good one! Next 5-10 years will be all different as Musk will grow old by 10 years and would be 61. Zukberg will be only 49 and he would still be fit at that time. Mark would become a pro in boxing by that time and who know he might learn some other martial art, it won't be easy for Musk to defend him and most probably he won't accept the fight. As the probability of Mark winning the bout will be high than Musk

Age is just a number. For example, Arnold Schwarzenegger is 75 years old. If there is a cage fight between him and someone like Logan Paul (28 years old), who do you think will be the winner? IMO, Musk looks much more athletic and healthy when compared to Zuckerberg. BTW, the real fight has already started, and it is between Twitter and Threads (Meta). Zuckerberg believes that support from left-wing loonies will help him to overtake Twitter in micro-blogging domain. I will be more skeptical. Replacing a well established platform such as Twitter will be extremely difficult.

Age isn’t just a number friend. You sound like a young man to have that opinion. I can tell you personally that I have trained and learned a great deal about fighting over the last decade, but my 20 year old self would be difficult to overcome in a fight. I also think you’re crazy if you think Musk is in better shape than Zuckerberg. Elon is nowhere near in Mark’s physical shape.

2875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 06, 2023, 02:28:07 PM
I think if you understand that gambling is about entertainment, then you’ll find yourself quitting gambling when it stops being fun. The problem is that people want to chase the fun and that usually leads to losses, sometimes life changing that can affect relationships or even damage your financial future. Stick to fun, but stop when the fun stops.
2876  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin will accepted worldwide for legal then price rising $100k?? on: July 06, 2023, 02:26:23 PM
If btc is legally accepted in all countries then huge number of investors will increase. and the use of btc in various fields will increase.

what is your opinion about this?

I think your scenario has a great deal of hurdles, but maybe in 10-15 years it could possibly be reality, although I myself doubt it. However, surely your scenario would cause a massive price increase which would likely act as a feedback loop. I don’t see any way so many people could be using BTC unless the price were well into the millions per coin.
2877  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 06, 2023, 02:24:48 PM
Looks like the financial markets aren’t happy about the latest jobs report. The strong hiring numbers have taken some wind out of the sails of investors as it is evidence that the fed may still have some room left to tighten monetary policy, which will strengthen the dollar and send equity values downward. Amazing how good news is bad news in this new post 9/11 economy.
2878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin maximum price on: July 05, 2023, 05:25:23 PM
Just pulling a number out of thin air, I’d say we’ll see a maximum price of $48K. Nothing really to base that on and if mtgox does it’s distribution before the end of the year then that will be a tricky price target to hit. I wouldn’t worry so much about the price this year though. It’s the price in 2 years you should be eyeballing.
2879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Minimum Age to gamble on: July 05, 2023, 05:23:16 PM
I grew up in California and always thought the gambling age was 18. I’m a bit surprised to learn that in most of the country it is 21. I guess that makes sense with all the drinks flowing in Vegas. Still, a bit surprising to think that you can go to war and die for this country to fight for freedom, but can’t put a penny in a slot machine.
2880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: July 05, 2023, 05:21:03 PM
I’d like to bet on the election but not until the primaries have been settled. I have my doubts as to whether or not Joe Biden will be healthy enough to truly run for President again so without know for sure who the candidates are, I’ll have to refrain. I do hope that Stake will offer this bet when the times comes as it is fun to bet on elections.
