what btc needs is a real world use case that other payment options cannot fulfill. and some shining success stories involving ethical virtuous business practices. so far it has neither.

true that a bad experience with unscrupulous businesses can sour one on btc, it can sour one on anything, but btc seems to be lousy with shitty scams and rip-offs.
there is a point where you have to ask yourself how much you are to blame though. how much research did you do on this company before you tried to do business with them? btc scammers know they have plenty n00bs who barely understand what is going on and they burn them accordingly. you cant expect anyone to be honest. you have to educate yourself and protect yourself. sorry man, but that's the law of the jungle, btc fiat or shiny rocks, mankind is a greedy evil animal.

ive never seen the message either, but i have never rolled anything over 2000 satoshis on the game. also ive noticed it very conveniently loses connection with the server right when i'm about to complete a new mission. my phone never loses connection any other time with any other app.
im pretty sure all those games are bunk. plus... has anyone ever won the lottery at freebitco.in? its over 1 btc every week. you would think the winners would come here bragging. methinks is bullsh*t
i mean faucets are already a waste of time, and they hardly ever make profit for the owners, so why not deceive the public and avoid paying? who's going to do anything about it?
there's one solution... boycott

you just better hope some sociopath care home worker doesn't bully your private keys out of you. or any of the other myriad scams and rip-offs that befall the weak and elderly in our sick society, btc or not... its best to try and nurture caring relationships, have children. there was a time when people actually took care of their elderly loved ones.

this is how degenerate gamblers think; they bet and lose most of the time, but they lie to themselves and everyone else. say a gambling addict loses 5000$ in one losing streak but then places one last bet and wins 50$... he will inevitably tell his friends he is UP 50$, that he WON 50$ in reality he is out of pocket 4950$ but since he is an addict he does what all addicts do. he minimizes his losses and exaggerates his winnings.
gambling's for fools you know you're going to lose, but that's the way i like it baby, i dont want to live forever.
the guys with a "system" are even worse. they need you to be just as deluded as they are. its sociopathic actually.
if you can gamble for fun and know when to quit you'll be fine. everything else is suicide

This really is the most entertaining sub in this forum. Hucksters, bamboozlers and theives it's like a Wild West medicine show, or those 3 card monte guys in NYC. Lol!

Definitely MtGox but in years to come I think history will look at almost the entirety of the last 5 years as one big scam. Doesn't seem like there is a single honest business out there. It's the Wild Wild West!

Ask 3 Anons what Anonymous means/is/stands for and you will get 4 answers. So far anonymous has never made any sort of permanent effect on anything. I salute the activism but they only seem to cause temporary nuisance
It's the best we have I suppose

it keeps the loan sharks in business. people will do stupid things, there will always be others to help them (and help themselves)
not a good idea to borrow for gambling. seriously.

isnt the deadline for kenny to pay his fines coming up? i seem to remember he had until the end of october to cough up or the FBI comes looking

i dont know about you, but it seems like every time I go to the casino I get fucked.

how does the odds work out for affiliates? if you have more sign ups that means you have more chances to lose no?
|
|

man, you would think with all the millions they have collected from the punters they could hire a few support workers.
|
|
|
only when I lose...
but seriously, like anything, if you get in over your head the results can be tragic. please gamble responsibly folks.
and if you think about it, every world religion forbids it... there is a reason for this, no matter what you believe. gambling wastes a lot of money that could otherwise make religious despots rich(er)
Catholics got it right. they run bingos like crazy

even though the article makes no mention of it, it is the "digital distribution" part that is the kicker here. look at something like ascribe.io and you can see the value of the blockchain regarding the distribution and piracy protection of copywritten digital media. Good for them, I hope they become the market leader with this.

theyve been against at first, but have been making posative intimations over the last 6-8 months or so. they are realizing btc isnt going away. "If you can't beat 'em...join em"
its all good

Is it just me, or do the "Requirements" and "Interface" tabs not do anything on the bitcoinmini.com site? Tried it on two different browsers. Might be a bit pricey at the moment, but I guess it's still preferable to tying up your desktop hardware. The cost might come down over time, too. I'll consider it if I ever get off my restricted bandwidth internet package.
yes, these things will get cheaper as time goes by, like anything of this nature. startup costs are big, but competition will force the market to compete. for now, its attractive to the ardent enthusiast... basically the target market.

NO! and I used to have a LOT. The scams in btc land are the absolute worst anywhere. Its one of the first thing I warn n00bs about. dont trust any security or money making vehicle in btc. and even if you steer clear of all that, your computer can get hacked. both things have happened to me. it sucks. but I'm working my way back up...slowly. and with a hardware wallet and constant scam busting over in the securities sub.
