Indian Wells is full of surprises this year and I am mostly skipping betting on it. I caught good handicaps yesterday on Dimitrov, Zverev and Fritz but lost my multi on Pegula anyway.

I believe this loss from Medvedev means Djokovic will finish the year as number one.

Lol, to be honest mate, I wanted to reach out to you by PM and see what's up with you, I haven't seen you posting in this thread for a while.

Yes, Djokovic still on the number 1 at the end of the year.

Khachanov also lost today to Basilashvili and I would say this is an upset too.

Corrie vs Schwartzman. I have Corrie here, I'm surprised that Schwartzman has reach this far though,  Smiley
3042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero - December 5 on: October 13, 2021, 12:24:30 PM

Boxers do take it personally, like what Canelo is for the Caleb fight. And the same here, Davis will definitely go for the KO because he is capable of, and in essence shut the mouth of Romero and give him a lesson not to trash talk to him and any champion.

It seems they hate each other there were circumstances where they almost clash in the street, it's just right that this match is created people love to see bath blood between fighters so they will see if who has the better control of his temper, this Romero is very brazen and arrogant he is telling people that Davis cannot touch, that's impossible Davis is so good at hurting his opponent, even if the opponent has a huge height and reach advantage.

Is that what they are talking about? Saying that this two has history before?

I'm not aware of such clash in the street? Is it when they are still promising fighters or when they are already professional?

In any case, this could be a good story line and maybe this is the reason why the Davis camp chooses Romero instead of chasing the other champion in this division.

It was not in the street though, do some research and this is what I found out:

Quote
“When they were at the [Errol]Spence-[Danny]Garcia fight last year in Texas, me and Floyd had to pull them apart. They were ready to bump right there. We thought they were gonna bump. Hell, if we didn’t pull them apart it would have been a better fight than Spence-Garcia turned out to be.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/mayweather-ceo-on-davis-romero-better-let-them-fight-ring-street--161163

So why not a better way to finished the animosity between the two but inside the ring. And the good thing is that both fighters are promoted by Floyd himself. So no problem to set up the fight and that what we are getting in December. But I think Romero is still raw talent and he might swallow more than he can chew against a prime Davis.
3043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin failed at $58,000 and dropped by more than $3K in a day. on: October 13, 2021, 11:26:41 AM
Lol, Bitcoin failed to break $58k and then goes down $3k? Should we all be concern?

Checking at the price right now, it's about to move to $55k again, so we have bounce back already.

So my opinion on the $3k drop is that traders are just making money in the market by squeezing some profit, simply as that. I don't think that the Binance news has something to do with it.

@buwaytress - yeah, it seems though that there is also a shift, usually weekends there's not much activity, but since the huge spike starting October, I noticed that the volume during weekends is above normal.
3044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 13, 2021, 10:38:59 AM
They seem to have a problem, that's obvious.. They are -7.5 in this game and yet they can't win even if they don't have to cover the spread. Yes, the starters played a decent minutes that they might do the same in the regular season.

https://www.covers.com/sport/basketball/nba/boxscore/250464
Lebron James    26:09 minutes -    17 points
C. Anthony 24:40 minutes - 20 points
R. Westbrook 28:08 minutes -    10 points only ( he has to level up)
Yes, Coach Vogel will need to tweak some plays and strengthen their chemistry. Melo is doing great, he will surely give everything this year.
Westbrook though doesn't look like he is comfortable yet. Let's give it more time. He got used to being in control of everything and this is a big leap because now he is adjusting with Lebron with almost the same type of play.
Jordan Poole is the player of the game, I can see so much room for improvement. It's obvious he is growing from shouldering the team whenever Steph is out.

And that makes GSW still dangerous even without Klay because of Jordan Poole. Hopefully he can bring that on step further when the regular seasons start.

Yes, that's the trade mark of Coach Vogel, even in-game he will make some tweaks if he see some weakness in the chemistry of Lakers. I do agree with giving some time to WB, just one game at a time. We might be surprised to see him anchoring the offense for the Lakers and seeing a prime WB again.
3045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: October 13, 2021, 09:50:55 AM

Maybe after this we will see a Thurman vs Crawford, this match-up would be nice I believe.

Not only nice but a great one, there's a saying that style makes a fight these two fighters are not afraid to engage always go for initiative and never hold back if these two fighters fight it will be a legacy fight because both fighters are undefeated, champions and always dominating, bettors will have a hard time who will have the edge.

I think Crawford would win against Thurman in my opinion. Yes, I agree style makes fight and the style of Thurman is tailor made for Crawford and I'm sensing a knock out could happen in favour of Crawford.

But let's see how Crawford will do against an offensive weapon like Shawn Porter.

This is very intriguing match because we haven't seen Crawford fought an aggressive type of fighter like Porter in the 147 lbs.
3046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 13, 2021, 09:00:54 AM
I see a some upsets both on women and men side.

Leylah Fernandez run has to end against the hands of Shelby Rogers. It was a marathon match, two hours++, but in the end in was Rogers this time on top, 2-6, 6-1, 7-6 (7/4). Swiatek was also booted out by Ostapenko in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.

In the men side Berrettini and Carreno Busta is also out. Zrevev won against Murray, but it was a very close match.

The top seed in the ladies side is also ousted, even 3rd seed Krejčíková and 4th seed Svitolina is out as well.

Kerber is playing and leading the first set 5-1 comfortably against Tomljanović.

Just shows how the side of the tournament is, the women are really unpredictable. When we thought that Fernandez could give us a good satoshis betting on here, she suddenly lose.

Fognini vs Tsitsipas, hopefully Tsitsipas can win this one in 2 sets to advance.

There was some upset in the making for this match, Fognini won the first set and the odds for Tsitsipas to win the game double. But I didn't bet on him, fortunately, he won the last two sets,  and the final score is 6-2, 3-6, 4-6.
3047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where is the source code for Ethereum itself on: October 11, 2021, 03:36:09 AM
Where is the source code for Ethereum itself, not the Go or Js implementation but the Ethereum itself, including EVMs, for a complete copy fork of Ethereum. Bitcoin can be completely forked, but Ethereum cannot be found, so I don't think this is open source.

I don't think there is s a single repo, as we all know there are a lot of implementations of Ethereum since the beginning. As you have said, it has a Go version or Rust.

For a complete implementation you may want to visit this site, https://ethereum.org/en/developers/docs/nodes-and-clients/#clients. And hopefully you can find what you are looking for.
3048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $100,000 in December? on: October 11, 2021, 02:56:36 AM
Why not follow https://twitter.com/100trillionUSD?

The guy created a prediction model called S2F (Stock to Flow), and is pointing to the direction of $100k++ this year.

So let me quote him:

Quote
Aug>47K, Sep>43K, Oct>63K, Nov>98K, Dec>135K

So it's pretty much accurate, however, we all know that prediction is just prediction, so no one can really tell if you are going to hit 6 digits this December or not.
3049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 11, 2021, 02:26:48 AM
Trevor Ariza will be a bench player, I'm sure of that. The starters are those who are actively young and prime.
It's worth noting that Ariza has a problem with his right ankle, and he will probably miss the beginning of this season ( at least 8 weeks). So it's obvious that Ariza will play as a bench player after returning. Maybe Bazemore and THT will be a good alternative to him.

I will with THT as the first option here, I think this kid just need more confidence to become a great players. He already shown signs last year that's why Lakers didn't trade him and instead opt for Kuzma.

And I think he will be a good complement to Russ as well, the running game of Russ will surely benefit younger legs like Nunn and THT. And even if Ariza is healthy, he might not be a starter, his main task for the Lakers is not to be offensive, but focus more on defense, and THT too can play good defense if needed.
3050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: October 11, 2021, 01:53:51 AM
~
I'm not really sure though if trash talking will stop since Caleb has started and then Canelo responded putting a gash in his face. Yeah, could be the different culture, not defending Caleb, but I agree that Canelo's English thus improved and he should know by now what a mother ^^^^ker means for Americans. And since Fury vs Wilder III is done, this is the next most anticipated fight of the year for us boxing fans.
When you learn a language the first you will learn is the cuss words and you do not need to learn the language thoroughly to understand the cuss words and Canelo Alvarez is fighting in US soil for a long time even though he lives in Mexico and it is not hard to understand the meaning of these words  Grin.

Since Caleb Plant has taken this fight on a person note i am curious to see how Canelo Alvarez is going to fight and whether he will punish him badly before knocking him out cold.

That is the expectation now, he makes Canelo mad, only two things could happen, it's either Canelo will get distracted and will not be able to focus on the game plan, or Caleb won't be able to take Canelo's attack and it will result to a KO that he has never experienced before.

You don't mess with Canelo, he is currently the pound for pound king and he dominated in the division where he is at now.

But don't underestimate Caleb, as he very well know that he is the underdog here.
And he is trash talking, so he should show what he's got under his sleeves.
Otherwise, if he will not put a good fight, people will not believe on him anymore.
Upsets can happen, but this one seems not to be included in this category. Let us see...

Yeah, we wouldn't want a good upset? Specially against Canelo who seems to be unbeatable and just smashing his opponents. And Caleb is also a champion in his own right, so we can't discounted that maybe there is a slim chance that an upset can happen. And we haven't seen Canelo really put in his back and trying to come back in the fight, maybe in the GGG as it was very close. But after the GGG fight, he just knock out or stop previous champions and champions. And now only Caleb stands in his way to unify all the belts at 168 lbs in short amount of time.
3051  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is avax better than solana ? on: October 10, 2021, 11:04:18 PM
I don't think there is a point of comparison about this two projects.

They are both solid, the price is really good meaning they have the support of investors.

As far as technology? I think they main competition here is still Ethereum. Sure they are far better and superior technology, but since Ethereum is the prime mover, it's hard to go head to head against it. So I would advise investors not to get into the discussion of who is better or what, but look at the technology behind and what it can bring to the cryptospace.
3052  Other / Off-topic / Re: BattleBots : Is This Another Form of Sports? on: October 10, 2021, 07:45:41 PM
Yeah, this game has been in years already, but it is not yet mainstream I guess.

Well if two opposing teams are trying to win against each other this probably this could be some kind of sports. But the players are behind and the skills are based on the bots that they have created.

Why not? if crypto bookies are going to offer this to us gamblers then good, another form of "sports", that we can enjoy and make bets with.
3053  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 10, 2021, 12:42:53 PM
This is finally over, Fury proved to the world that he is the better fighter between him and Wilder.

He got Knockdown but just like the first fight he was able to get up and in the end, he was able to KO Wilder with a solid punch.
I just don't like Wilder after the fight as he doesn't show respect when Fury tries to shake hands, so he is really a sore loser now, and no doubt about that.

What's next for Wilder then?
You still want to know what next?
Lol I couldn't believe my eyes after the defeet.
This calls for a big fat argument cause I think someone was wrong somewhere.
Bet lost making me think twice next this kind of fight comes onboard.
How I hope I can reverse the time...bowh!

He can go back and fight his way to the top again, those fighters that he has beaten and asking for a rematch. Maybe the loser of the AJ vs Usyk, as AJ has officially exercise his rematch clause and probably the fight be held next year. And then the winner fighting Fury for all the belts in the heavyweight and maybe after Fury wins all the belt he can retire undefeated and cemented his legacy as one of the best HW champion in recent memories.

As long as Wilder will start winning again, it's easy to create a hype of a possible Fury vs Wilder 4.

Wilder vs AJ would be nice, that if AJ will once again lose in a rematch against Usyk which I think will likely happen as Usyk is not Ruiz. Usyk is just an underrated boxer which has some real boxing talent and he exploited AJ in their fight.

I don't know if Wilder would still win a fight, I guess he was really living in Fury's world and he can't move on his defeat, and if that will stay, it will hunt him and he won't be able to continue his life due to the distraction. The fact that he doesn't respect a champion, means he does not deserve to be a champion again, I pity how his career might end.

If he will fight a B-level heavyweight, for sure he can still win and I think he can dominate anyone not name Fury. Even if a Wilder vs Joshua fight, I will put my money on Wilder, that one punch can really turn things in a fight. If he hits Joshua with that, I doubt that Anthony can recover the way Wilder recover.

But then again, they will still below Fury, and no fighter can defeat Fury at his stage of his career. Specially in mental and ring IQ, gypsy king will top them all.
3054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 10, 2021, 11:22:21 AM
I have a parlay, Dimitrov + Karatsev + Medvedev all in handicap.

Dimitrov wa able to cover the spread already, and Karatsev has a high chance as well. But Medvedev gave up to many points in the first set, he was comfortable leading 3-1, however the set finished at 6-4. He needs to win 6-2 in the second set to cover it for me. But I doubt, it's already 1-1 and McDonald serving.

Edit: All is good, Medvedev won 6-2 in the second set,  Grin

You spoke to soon mate, don't underestimate Medvedev, he is the number seed, maybe he was just feeling the first set and then close it out on the second as he storm to 4-1 (if you didn't watch because you think that your bet has been derailed already).

Already in the round of 64, and the match is getting hard to predict now. But I have Berrettini vs Tabilo to bet. I think Berrettini can cover the handicap, (-5-5). Alcaraz vs Murray might be tricky though, ML is very close.
3055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis vs football on: October 10, 2021, 10:50:19 AM
Am thinking of starting a betting journey and have hard experience in slots and other online gambling games which are risky because it requires a gambler to have some skills, but in tennis or live football betting is all about predictions and luck?
Which will refer for a beginner should bet on tennis games or football which among the two is easy to forecast.

Which amongst the two sports you have followed or at least knowledge of the team or the players?

I usually bet on tennis, but I have followed it for many years so I'm confident on betting on that sports. Of course, it's not always a win for me, but the most important thing is that you are familiar with the sports and you know how or who to bet. Otherwise, if you don't have knowledge then you're most likely going to lose in the end.
3056  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 10% increase in a day - why? on: October 10, 2021, 10:13:38 AM
It is always unknow whether the price has jumped due to some kind of news or because of some market movement, or probably both, but there is something that i have been noticing is that every year with the Q4 there is always a bit of surge in the prices, whatever the conditions and  the news, and it is still to this day unknown to me why that this is happening.
I think part of it is that there are other people that have noticed that pattern too and now this has created the expectation in the mind of traders that the price can go up at the end of the year, and if enough traders are willing to put their money behind this belief then this creates a self-fulfilling prophecy, however I think we are seeing something more profound than that, bitcoin is ready to go up in value in a spectacular fashion, and when it does the FOMO will be impressive, so I have no doubts the current ATH will be completely smashed.

The increase in the price of Bitcoin in a week by 14%, this is a good sign, because it will indirectly trigger FOMO. This pattern is often repeated,
so some investors finally predict that Bitcoin prices can continue to rise until the end of the year. It is not impossible at the end of the year will reach
new ATH, that way the best step we have to do right now is still holding the Bitcoin we have. Don't be in a hurry to sell the Bitcoins we have today,
be patient holding Bitcoin until the end of the year will make us generate bigger profits. In the end, patience is the key to success.

For me FOMO will set in again if we are going to break that next round numbers which is $60k.

Right now what we are seeing is speculators and traders just trying to make some money because of the bullrun this October. Nevertheless if we see $60k reach and sustain, then there will be a new set of investors that will enter the picture and pour their money. The real gauge here is how big this bull run going to be up to December as we are waiting for it to reach at least 6 digits.
3057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!! on: October 09, 2021, 06:44:01 PM
^  If they’re putting on more weight, I think it means they’re going for more power, not speed.  And it also means they could start knocking each other’s head off from the get go.  And an added benefit of more weight, less weight cut is a more solid chin...  And they both already felt each other’s power.  Lol.  They’ll need the added weight.  Cheesy

It's an effective game plan by Fury in the second fight, he put in more point because he was telling us that he was going to knock out Wilder, but no one believes him but himself. But we saw what happen to the rematch and he did win by knock out.

So probably the say in the trilogy, the good thing about Fury is that he can carry that weight and still box and dance around.

We will see if Wilder with almost more than a year preparation, enough time to lay out a new plan with his new trainer/coach to go for that one punch that will knock out Fury.
3058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 09, 2021, 12:12:30 PM
Anyone watched the Bulls' past 3 games this preseason?

The chemistry is there, the way they communicate, they literally have 4 highflyers in the court, LaVine, Caruso, Ball and Derozan, the best part here is not their vertical though, it's how they pass the ball, Lonzo and Caruso are great all-around players and can definitely be productive on the court.

Even it's just a pre-season, we can see that the new Bulls roster are comfortable with each other. There seems no problem building the chemistry. It's like they are teammates for long. No issue, no drama but just playing basketball.

If that relation will maintain, they will have a good run in Eastern Conference. I see them finishing at least on top 5.

Probably what they need is to be consistent. There seems to be games that they are the favourite, but they cannot live it up and lose in the end. But this year, it was it was total upgrade, getting high caliber players to get them over the hump. Yes, probably they will be in the bottom half in the East and it will be close for the 4th-8th spot position. Zach needed a lot of help in the last two seasons and it seems the management has given him good talent now. Just needed sometime for the new players to really blend and find the perfect combination.
3059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 09, 2021, 11:17:03 AM
^^ And we have questioned Raducanu's decision to part ways with her coach. And now we got the answer, and I don't want to say this but she could be in the path similar to Osaka, wherein after winning a grand slam, she chooses to switch coach and she hasn't been the same.

As for Fernandez, I would say it's more on how the girl was brought up, close knit family and that's what keeping here grounded, unlike Raducanu who might have some 'air of arrogance'.

What a poor performance from Raducanu, you can't really picture how a grand slam winner suddenly lost in a first match against a relatively unknown. And for sure, a lot of bettors have lost, either singles or parlay with Raducanu winner because we might think that it is a sure win.

I'm looking next for Fernandez and Sakkari, they've performed very well last tournament they're in so let's se how they've journey in Indian Wells, might be good to bet on them on ML or handicap.

I agree, if there is opportunity grab here then why not?

But there seems to be some investors who think that it will go parabolic, a rise that no one can stop because Elon Musk continue to tweet about Dogecoin.

But it seems that the hype has caught up already. But for sure, the price can still go up, make us good profit once we go on a bull run up to December. Just don't be greedy and take profits if you think you already have a good ROI.
