I hope you realise how many people have been turned away from Bitcoin by calling Litecoin a pyramid scheme, crypto coins are relatively new I believe Bitcoin itself can be termed experimental still. If you do have lots of money invested in Bitcoin why wouldn't you diversify 10-20% at the very least into Litecoin for one it's an eggs in baskets thing, even bit-pay have said should something disasterous occur to Bitcoin they would switch to the next crypto coin.
Litecoin=Bitcoin hedge=higher prices=media attention=more users=more Dev=more services=higher prices
This +1 and someone should petition the bitcoin wiki to remove the inflammatory suggestion that LTC is a pyramid scheme. It is structured just like BTC, so this statement makes everybody look bad. I know. That Wiki article is ridiculous. It was actually the first thing I ever read about LTC and I left the article thinking LTC was a scam of some sort. It's only when I found unbiased facts that I realised the truth, that litecoin has enormous potential and a definite place alongside bitcoin.

Dear lord, it's at 68 cents right now

Was at 60 cents for a little while afterwards. Good day for Litecoin and it's not over yet.

Very important landmark. Looks like it's on a rush to $1 right now.

This is one reason why it's useful to have Litecoin around as an ALTERNATIVE. When you go bear hunting do you just put one round of bullets in your rifle or do you have more bullets as BACKUP?
Competitive marketplace makes for greater efficiency for all.

So OP basically you have mega hoarded a ton of these coins and now you give away a fraction of them to try to boost TRC's popularity and make yourself money?

I think it's more about speculation than anything else. I don't see the point of LTC really... I mean, what does it have that BTC doesn't?
Why have silver when we have gold?

A flood of people are rushing on there to buy LTC. 2300 users online.
The LTC price is going crazy right now.

Please listen sirs.
I think make a subforum for Litecoin and MAYBE a subforum for Ripple, and leave the rest in a subforum called 'Other'.
I'm not a proponent of Ripple but it does have a lot of topics made about it. As for Litecoin, it's pretty obvious it's blowing up big right now and it's been the 'number 2' cryptocurrency in most people's eyes for a while now.

Against BTC it has a ways to go (0.00869 btc on 10/12/2012) but normal people should be impressed.
Measuring against BTC isn't that great a measure because it's fluctuated so much. Makes a lot more sense to compare it something relatively constant like USD.

Not long until Litecoin hits $1.
I say by the end of 2013 it will have at least touched $1. Yup. Exciting times to be a Litecoin holder. When it hits $1 we can also expect a surge of new adopters rushing in.

Say a bidder successfully buys a radio and the seller is genuine and sends it out to the buyer. What is to stop the scam buyer from saying he never received it? The seller can't prove he sent it, even if shows signed for receipts the buyer can just say the boxes were empty.
What does Bitmit do in these situations?

Thanks for the support, guys. That's good motivation to keep improving the pool. Much appreciated. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, its a long thread; Doc, whats your policy regarding block size limit and satoshidice transactions?
We are running with standard block limits and no filters on satoshidice transactions. I've asked this in PM before, but any chance litecoin support will come? Or another miner for litecoin? Cause when asics hit, then I need to put my GPU-s for another use, and litecoin seems to be the best bet. Would love a simple miner like this for litecoin I will consider whether to add Litecoin support after I deal with a few more items ahead of that on my TODO list. Another vote for you to add Litecoin support. Thank you sir

Can't believe more people aren't buying them when they are this undervalued. I'm selling things on ebay to buy more... it's no wonder the ltc trade volume is shooting up and up.
It's uncanny how similar the graphs are.

Litecoin is a less hostile environment for newcomers to the crypto currency market. You can still earn coins with a CPU and can do very well with a GPU. It is currently more profitable to mine than any other coin, even propped up Novacoin. While litecoin hasn't been immune to trouble, it does have a pretty good group involved in it and more infrastructure than other alternates.
For someone new to Bitcoin, Litecoin is an easy way to get involved in mining without having to buy dedicated hardware. Bitcoin mining is no longer new user friendly.
Agreed and just to add my thoughts to this, I think spectators and analysts sometimes underestimate the powerful effect miners have on the economy. If miners move more and more to litecoin the impact will have a massive long term 'trickle up' effect with the added bonus of not affecting bitcoin since btc's infrastructure is so solid and growing exponentially now.

Give it some time. LTC is the next rocket.
Amen. Some people are gonna be kicking themselves 1.5 year from now when they look back at how cheap they were. Even now they are ridiculously cheap. All of my wage packet this month will be going into them.

Anyone having problems connecting to BTC-e should probably contact support so they can add your IP to the whitelist.. ddos protection is most likely banning you... Could you or someone else kindly supply me with a support email address? I can't even get onto the website right now otherwise I would look it up myself.
