You find out if a coin is a winner by stress testing it, and Terracoin has crumbled.
The only unique feature of Terracoin actually breaks it. And even when the difficulty adjustment was fast people would hop on and off and exploit it.

Note, TRC still hasn't been sold yet on BTC-e... Everyone knows that buying in to something dead isn't worth it.
Isn't the reason TRC hasn't been sold yet because without the ability for blocks to be mined, no confirmations can be sent? That's why he's implying it's worthless because the network grinded to a halt. Doesn't make for a very efficient payment system

NEED TO GET MY PPC NOW
Btw PPC deposits are taking to forever to confirm anyway. I guess a ton of people are flooding the wallet

NEED TO GET MY PPC NOW
I wonder why lol

No, I actually wanted to keep mining something fairly worthwhile. Now, I can't feasibly do that and what I do mine can't really be sold because all the ASICs pretty much gobbled it up and are dumping 10k or more while they leave us with the tattered scraps.
@Nolo, You can count how many I have with two fingers.

I have to agree unfortunately. The sad thing is a lot of the people who buy at btc-e are really clueless about the inner details, I saw one asking what an ASIC was etc..

Is PPCoin coming up today as well? It's up

> I had against it have turned out to be baseless.
Uh. What about the fact that its still centrally controlled by developer announced checkpoints, and that none one the layered complexity seems to address the fundamental issue with PoS that an optimal-rational PoS miner will concurrently mine all the chains he is able, because doing so maximizes his expected income... because nothing is at stake when mining a fork that ultimately fails?
(If you're sensing some frustration from me, it's because I think that "cryptocurrencies" which are just inefficiently implemented centralized systems distract people from working on real, viable, decentralized solutions)
Bitcoin has checkpoints, albeit much less. I think checkpoints are the only way to launch an alt currency Like PPcoin which has a radical new approach, it's for security and Sunny has said they will be phased out gradually (I read somewhere by summer but dont quote me on that).

I threw 2 avalons on it for a while. sorry. that quick diff adjust can bite you in the ass huh? there mined you one more block 1GHXkGhELL7etZ5ooMdndcrczYbLN9N3TZ sorry..

H0v3pE/BTW/0Aw/kYLoQxuIAHCwitN+5umOEPeY6StR+YNVUYZd3Kn9FEV3bQNAXz1YGPhkx3NholdrSTfe2OzM= How many coins do you make per hour when the difficulty is decent?

This is too few people mining combined with the difficulty slowly readjusting.
Is that an educated guess or the actual answer? If the number of people mining drops drastically it causes this? Or...

So can you tell us what is going on. Is this a 51% attack?

Thanks for everything. I bought a lottt of coins from you Btw please allow withdrawals for as long as possible, I had some btc laying around on there with no emergency address and I would have been sad if I didn't check this forum until monday and I had lost 'em!

btc-e.com makes hundreds of thousands dollars per month profit and that figure is growing fast. Yes they could steal your coins but that would be like killing the golden goose. However the smaller an exchange is, the less profit they are making and the more risk there is involved. Ultimately though you can't trust these exchanges like a bank. And the absolute worst thing you can do is to leave a lot of money laying around on an exchange because if that exchange gets hacked into you will cry. And believe me a lot of exchanges get hacked

Are these really going for 14 cents a coin right now?
|
|
|
I guess it could be an attack, OR simply by this diff ("difficulty" : 66974.93661016,) just no block is found in the last 4 hours and miners abandoned
Hmm... so miners are still hopping on and off depending on the difficulty...

lol @ PPC
yeah no, you're really wasting your time trying to promote ppc this artificial hype attempt is so hilarious
ppc is just a lame attempt at devaluing the ltc so the btc wont have a solid backup currency acting as a lower denomination
banking shill detected goback2africa
You produce no arguments or discussion in your post. You shouldn't fear it, it's very different to Litecoin and Bitcoin (both of which I own). And there is a lot of interest in PPCoin, look at this google trends graphs showing the number of people searching PPCoin vs the number of people searching Terracoin: (PPCoin has double the amount of searches and is trending upwards heavily).

Is it possible this could be the result of an attack?
The other day there was a topic about someone who had >51% of the TRC network hashrate

Yes we are aware there are some problems, one could find a bunch of complaints relating to Bitcoin as well (such as who the heck is the creator?!) but the important thing should be potential. I'd definitely like to hear Sunny address some of these direct complaints because it seems the community is stuck on some minor points and can't move on to see the bigger picture.
I doubt Sunny the developer will address Smoothie, he probably put him on ignore 6 months ago due to his endlessPPCoin trolling (I am semi joking semi serious).
