2501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BOUNTY] BTB to BTC automatic secure exchange. on: May 05, 2013, 04:47:21 PM
^ I agree with r3animation.

there is  59.644201 BTB Bounty  for first high quality exchange.

vircurex/cryptonit/bter class prefered.

also:

An escrow holder is needed, somebody trusted,  so I can transfer BTB's.
Exchange guy's need to know, the bounty is real.

Cheers! That's the kind of bounty we need to get this done!! I think it should go to either BTC-e.com (first choice), Vircurex (second choice) or Bter.com (third choice).

The great news with that is that after the exchange is in place, we can then get it up on coinchoose and dustcoin (or at least coinchoose), since we already have the block chain explorer as well.

-Robby

I would love to see it on these exchanges as well and ideally those would be my three choices. That said I think realistically Cryptonit is more likely to start offering. They were the first exchange to try Feathercoin and the main reason why Vircurex and then btce.com followed. I don't think Vircurex or btce.com would have put Feathercoin on their exchanges so quickly otherwise.

In my opinion I think it's better for BitBars go on an established exchange that already has a very nice flow of traffic (rather than a brand new exchange)
2502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: They are rumors on the litecoin forum that Mt Gox will not launch LTC trading on: May 05, 2013, 02:45:05 PM
It'll go on there. I reckon they will wait for their new trading engine to launch first though which could take a while
2503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Has anyone else noticed that the Litecoin network hashrate has dropped 50% on: May 05, 2013, 02:01:54 PM
Right now it's listed as 7 on Vircurex. It was 15 a couple of weeks back. Obviously Feathercoin mining has taken a chunk out of it, but still I am surprised it's fallen like that.

I remember checking just 2-3 days ago and it was 12 or something so it's taken a big hit

We can keep copy/pasting these same replies back to each other all day!

I suggest you to do so, so later there are countless copies of the proof of how pathetic you were promoting the scamcoins and luring suckers into buying them.

I am reporting the facts and proud to be part of this project. You on the other hand are coming across as neurotic and obsessed. It's a sign of a weak argument when the baseless insults start coming out
2505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BTB]BitBar - the current market price is consistently over 1 Bitcoin at present on: May 05, 2013, 01:28:56 PM
- There was 5 minutes of premining done in error by the tester - those bitbars are being donated as a bounty towards the exchange. See the official launch topic.
- The difficulty for Feathercoin was also at 0. In fact several coins launched that way
- As with most new coin launches on the first day a huge amount get created for the super early adopters (2 million for PPCoin, 200,000 in the first 2 hours for Feathercoin, many others...)

Keep hating Smiley

It is correct that large beneficial is always for the early adopters, but for the currency, there need a certain level of inflation just like Bitcoin. Without inflation, this stuff will either turn to the private toys or the public scam. There're only two ways left for you to choose as for centralized issuing you have no credit at all.

The code is based on Novacoin which is inflationary.

I don't claim what is going to happen in the future, I am merely reporting on yesterdays trading activity which is pretty intriguing. 1-2 months from now should be very interesting for us to look back on
2506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BTB]BitBar - the current market price is consistently over 1 Bitcoin at present on: May 05, 2013, 01:25:30 PM
Some people in this thread thing the OP is the creator of the coin... promoting the coin.  The OP is simply stating the facts of the current market price.  There is no reason to fill this thread with hate spam... there are other threads to do that in.

Yup. I didn't even mine any (couldn't get it to work). The only BitBars I have are BitBars I traded for on the first day which I can prove through my private messages - and it's not a crazy amount.

Obviously I want BitBars to do well, but the free market will decide. I am just happy to be part of this.
2507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MMOcoin (idea for an all in one coin based on litecoin) on: May 05, 2013, 01:23:36 PM
If you can only use it in the game then a blockchain based coin is insane, insanely-expensive to secure overkill.

You only need a normal centralised database type system for in game currencies.

Blockchains come into play when you are mine it anywhere, anyone can mine it, it has nothing to do with any one particular game or other application or server or system or company and so on. In such cases of course there are already probably more chains to choose from than you are likely to bother using, that is, even if you tried to build in the ability to use all of them you might find new ones pop up faster than you can add support for them into the game.

So if you do want blockchain based currency, so that any games any players and any non-games and non-players can all mine it use it exchange it and so on, there is no need to create one, there are tons of them available off the shelf ready to run.

The big problem is securing chains, they are insanely expensive to secure. Even if you use a merged-mined coin you still might not get enough miners on it, even with it being vanishingly close to "free" for them to mine, to secure it.

So pick one with a high difficulty that has been high difficulty steadily a year or two already.

Interesting. I wonder if these ideas could be patented into game technology
2508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBar New POW-POS scrypt CryptoCoin on: May 05, 2013, 01:21:59 PM

You mean massively increase the wealth of "developers" and early adopters or investors like you?

1. 60 blocks after the genesis block were premined
2. Difficulty for the first 735 blocks was so low that it can't even be shown on the explorer
3. For the premine period, 59.644201 BTB were generated in little less than 4 minutes
4. For the difficulty under 0.001 period excluding the premine period, 600.324139 BTB were created in little more than 20 minutes

Yea, does seem to be the case where BTB is equaling the price of BTC.  It's very interesting.  Look forward to seeing how this turns out in the end.

Me too. I am not trying to predict the future but things have gotten off to a very good start. If it gets an exchange built for it or on Cryptonit in the next couple of weeks, anything could happen
2510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitBar New POW-POS scrypt CryptoCoin on: May 05, 2013, 01:13:30 PM
Difficulty is still rising but slower now...

Coins only being created at a trickle per day, as intended which is nice... keeps the scarcity factor alive

Reviewing the trades from the first day's operation of the BitBar / Bitcoin google docs exchange topic - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvzceU1B6xtPdFg0M2kza2pQQ2o0b2RzNFZnRlNiclE#gid=0

The following orders were fulfilled, from newest to oldest:

Buy 55 BTB at 1.2 BTC per BTB  (vlaouu321)
Buy 1 BTB at 1.2 BTC per BTB    (bitpar)
Buy 5 BTB at 1 BTC per BTB   (cvrchameleon)
Buy 24? BTB at 1 BTC per BTB  (Blitzmd)
Buy 0.5 BTB at 0.5 BTC per BTB (Boelens)

I also saw a couple of topics where orders looked to be filled at 1 BTC per BTB.

What will the future hold? Only the free market and supply and demand can decide, but it's certainly interesting to see a new cryptocurrency sell for such high prices. This is the first time in history a cryptocurrency is being bought and sold for higher than Bitcoin... if nothing else it is a historic moment! Miners are flocking to the coin as the network hashrate is growing fast as is the difficulty, the coming days are going to be very interesting Smiley
2513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEW][ANN] Latest scrypt based coin, GRC! on: May 05, 2013, 01:54:04 AM
lmao. One of the funniest threads I have ever read on here

p.s. pm me if you're selling any
2514  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WTB] BTB Bitbar - Offering 1.5 BTC Each on: May 05, 2013, 01:51:36 AM
Rick would you like me to add you to the BitBar orderbook: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvzceU1B6xtPdFg0M2kza2pQQ2o0b2RzNFZnRlNiclE#gid=0

You should get some more interest if I list your order there. I go to sleep in 5 minutes though so let me know quick if ya do
2515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC / BTB Exchange Google Docs #2 on: May 05, 2013, 01:35:28 AM
You can remove my order, it was filled thank you so much!

No problem. Did you buy them at 1.5BTC per BitBar like in your recent thread or did you buy them at the rate in the spreadsheet? (so I can fill in the recent trades part correctly)

i bought 1:1

Cheers mate.
2516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC / BTB Exchange Google Docs #2 on: May 05, 2013, 01:28:16 AM
Removing my order, as it was filled... thanks xorxor for 3 trades!

Removed!

Epic fast I see, was going to do it then saw it gone lol Smiley
Boelens is getting the hang now Tongue
BTW Boelens, add new entries on bottom row, and then a do sort according to BTC, inserting a new row breaks the formatting. (and formulas)

Yep, I'm pretty fast, certainly getting the hang! And I could do that, now I just insert a new row then shift click the other pair and drag it up, it's not really that much of trouble but thanks for the tip! =).

Good tip. Btw can you add CvR's order to the recent orders list. I would but I've forgotten what amount his trade was for.   Cool

It's added now, I didn't do it though, not sure who did.

I did Smiley He happened to pm me.
