Cheers! That's the kind of bounty we need to get this done!! I think it should go to either BTC-e.com (first choice), Vircurex (second choice) or Bter.com (third choice). The great news with that is that after the exchange is in place, we can then get it up on coinchoose and dustcoin (or at least coinchoose), since we already have the block chain explorer as well. -Robby I would love to see it on these exchanges as well and ideally those would be my three choices. That said I think realistically Cryptonit is more likely to start offering. They were the first exchange to try Feathercoin and the main reason why Vircurex and then btce.com followed. I don't think Vircurex or btce.com would have put Feathercoin on their exchanges so quickly otherwise. In my opinion I think it's better for BitBars go on an established exchange that already has a very nice flow of traffic (rather than a brand new exchange) |

Right now it's listed as 7 on Vircurex. It was 15 a couple of weeks back. Obviously Feathercoin mining has taken a chunk out of it, but still I am surprised it's fallen like that.
I remember checking just 2-3 days ago and it was 12 or something so it's taken a big hit

Keep hating  It is correct that large beneficial is always for the early adopters, but for the currency, there need a certain level of inflation just like Bitcoin. Without inflation, this stuff will either turn to the private toys or the public scam. There're only two ways left for you to choose as for centralized issuing you have no credit at all. The code is based on Novacoin which is inflationary. I don't claim what is going to happen in the future, I am merely reporting on yesterdays trading activity which is pretty intriguing. 1-2 months from now should be very interesting for us to look back on |

Some people in this thread thing the OP is the creator of the coin... promoting the coin. The OP is simply stating the facts of the current market price. There is no reason to fill this thread with hate spam... there are other threads to do that in.
Yup. I didn't even mine any (couldn't get it to work). The only BitBars I have are BitBars I traded for on the first day which I can prove through my private messages - and it's not a crazy amount. Obviously I want BitBars to do well, but the free market will decide. I am just happy to be part of this. |

If you can only use it in the game then a blockchain based coin is insane, insanely-expensive to secure overkill.
You only need a normal centralised database type system for in game currencies.
Blockchains come into play when you are mine it anywhere, anyone can mine it, it has nothing to do with any one particular game or other application or server or system or company and so on. In such cases of course there are already probably more chains to choose from than you are likely to bother using, that is, even if you tried to build in the ability to use all of them you might find new ones pop up faster than you can add support for them into the game.
So if you do want blockchain based currency, so that any games any players and any non-games and non-players can all mine it use it exchange it and so on, there is no need to create one, there are tons of them available off the shelf ready to run.
The big problem is securing chains, they are insanely expensive to secure. Even if you use a merged-mined coin you still might not get enough miners on it, even with it being vanishingly close to "free" for them to mine, to secure it.
So pick one with a high difficulty that has been high difficulty steadily a year or two already.

Yea, does seem to be the case where BTB is equaling the price of BTC. It's very interesting. Look forward to seeing how this turns out in the end.

(and formulas) Yep, I'm pretty fast, certainly getting the hang! And I could do that, now I just insert a new row then shift click the other pair and drag it up, it's not really that much of trouble but thanks for the tip! =). Good tip. Btw can you add CvR's order to the recent orders list. I would but I've forgotten what amount his trade was for.  It's added now, I didn't do it though, not sure who did.
